Where do we start.....!? I guess at the beginning.

We recently got married on the East End. During the winter of 2015 we began our search for a caterer. It didn't take long for us to make our decision as Jeniffer was a perfect mix of thorough, professional and personable on our first call. Over the next year and a half we worked through the details of what many of our guest's have called the best wedding they've been to. Note: Fifth Season, Jeniffer in particular, put together a perfectly paced event that balanced their amazing food & drink with the needs of our other vendors.

The Food & Drink
EXCELLENT. Local & sustainably sourced. FRESH. Our guests are still raving about the most delicious "wedding food" they've ever eaten. Fortunately for my wife and I, we've been able to experience the actual restaurant on several occasions now as well. We've encouraged our guests to do the same.

The Service
EXCELLENT. The two couples behind Fifth Season know how to hire! The same quality of service in the restaurant extended to our wedding as well.

We'll be returning to the restaurant for years to come and encourage you to experience Fifth Season as well.

Fifth Season caterers went above and beyond to make sure our ceremony and reception were seamless and all of the guests enjoyed themselves. We had such a nice time working with Jeniffer leading up to the wedding. She is so nice and thoughtful and she was always quick to respond and thought of many details, we did not. The food was outrageously good. Unlike most couples we had the chance to eat on our wedding day. Jeniffer pulled us aside at the cocktail hour to a private room so we could enjoy each of the items we selected and have a moment alone as husband and wife. My husband and I would recommend Fifth Season to any of our friends and family and will continue to reach out to them for special occasions in our lives.

When our daughter and her then fiance started planning their wedding they agreed the most important thing to both of them (besides each other!) would be the food. Enter Jennifer, Eric and John from The Fifth Season. Having been frequent diners at their establishment for a number of years I had to agree. To make things a bit more interesting our daughter wanted her venue to be at The Bates House in Setauket! A beautiful old house but without a kitchen! Jennifer brought in their own ovens, stoves etc, to create cuisine that was bar none the freshest, mouth watering and best tasting range of food ever made! The presentation and pairing of foods showed the culinary talent at it's best! Jennifer was as every bit invested in this wedding as we were. We can't say it enough, she was our "Franc" but with better English! If you want a wedding that you and your guests will talk about for a long time to come my advice is to use Fifth Season Caterers but hurry up and book because this great place is no longer a secret!

I can't say enough good things about The Fifth Season. We hired them as caterers for our daughter's wedding but they ended up being so much more. Jeniffer was/is absolutely wonderful!!! Let me begin by saying how wonderful the food was. Everyone (including us) raved about all the food, from the hors d'oeuvres to all the dinner choices. Everything was so delicious with wonderful presentation. But I have to say that without Jen I don't know if we could even have had our wedding. Two days before our event we ran up against some problems with the venue which threatened to completely derail the whole thing. Jen and Erik helped us work things out so that in the end the wedding was so much more than we had even planned. They were wonderful!!! Jen worked tirelessly with us, never complaining. She went so far above and beyond to help us reinvent and re-plan and then coordinate everything so that no one could even tell this wasn't how it was originally supposed to be. It all ended up being so much better than planned and the most magical night of our lives. We truly believe we couldn't have done it without Jen and everyone at The Fifth Season. We feel they became more like family than just our caterers. We can never thank them enough!!!!

I can say that our wedding would literally not have happened if it wasn't for the amazing staff at The Fifth Season. They were all beyond helpful every step of the way. We worked with Jeniffer prior to the wedding with coordinating our rentals and the whole look of our wedding. When it came time to tasting food Erik and John hit it out of the park. We had trouble making decisions on the menu because it was all so delicious! 2 days before our wedding we experienced some unseen major set backs to the point of potentially moving venues. Jen and Erik went to bat for us and they really had our backs. They stayed calm the whole time! Jen went above and beyond staying up with us until past midnight to redo our whole wedding at the very last minute. Jen made our wedding feel so perfect even with all of the changes that went on. We got so many compliments on the food and the staff from our guests! Jen, Erik and John are a such a great team!! I cannot say enough amazing things about The Fifth Season!

Fifth Season catered our wedding in September and I could not be more thankful to Jeniffer, John and their entire professional and easy-going staff for creating the most spectacular display of food and drink ever!! I was psyched to work with Jeniffer from day 1. She clearly knew the business inside and out and was super focused on making sure that our wedding was a true reflection of us as a couple...we even had a signature Bride and Groom cocktail made up for us. When my husband and I experienced our tasting at the lovely Fifth Season restaurant in Port Jefferson, we knew we had hit a home run. The. food. is. incredible. We had a ton of options to choose from, all were outstanding and just as delicious on the day of the wedding. Beyond the phenomenal cuisine, Fifth Season offers a staff of consummate professionals led by Jeniffer who is truly the best at her craft. I would recommend fifth season to anyone and everyone!!!

I can not say enough fabulous things about Fifth Season Catering. Jeniffer was a dream to work with from start to finish. I am a wedding coordinator by trade, so I work with a different catering company almost every weekend; Jeniffer is one of the most professional, thorough, dedicated Catering Managers I have ever worked with. She went above and beyond in every aspect. Every guest at the Shoreham Beach Club had nothing but extraordinary things to say about the food,staff and service. The day of our wedding, the weather was awful and Jeniffer went out of her way to make sure the tent was perfect before the bride walked down the aisle. She worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect for the bride and groom and their families and friends. I would recommend Fifth Season to anyone hosting an event in need of a fabulous catering company.

The Fifth Season took care of absolutely everything for our wedding! It was like we got a free a wedding planner with the price of our food. They figured out the plan for the entire day for us, which was tricky because we wanted a brunch reception so a LOT had to get done early in the morning. They took care of setting up our ceremony venue (Port Jefferson Village Center) along with decorating the restaurant beautifully. They even asked us to provide some mementos which they used to make a wonderful display table for everyone to see as they walked in. You get all of this for a great price, AND the food was amazing! All of our guests are still raving about their meal a year later! We even got a thank you card from a relative because it was the most enjoyable wedding she had ever attended!
Thank you everyone at the Fifth Season for making our wedding everything we dreamed it would be! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we will be celebrating our first anniversary by going there for Sunday brunch!

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about our experience working with Jeniffer and the rest of the Fifth Season crew for our wedding! We initially went to them because we were insistent on having great food at our wedding and we've always loved going to the Fifth Season. They had never catered a wedding at our venue before so there were so many little details to work out and they absolutely thought of everything. It was like having a caterer and wedding planner in one. We're can't thank them enough for all the thought they put into our wedding day. And our guests are still talking about how great the food was over a year later!

I can only say that Jennifer was absolutely outstanding. She anticipated and planned for details I never even considered! She was willing to work with my service providers where I had them, and guide me toward the best where I didn't (musicians, tents, rental supplies, engraver, etc.). By the time we arrived at the reception site everything was perfect. Flowers, tables, linens and food were delightfully arranged.

It goes without saying that the food and service was outstanding, fresh ingredients beautifully prepared and presented. Nothing served to the guests was "ordinary" or mundane. (Unless you include the chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese for the handful of children present!) We heard raves about the food throughout the party and are still getting compliments about the event now.

Jennifer anticipated the needs of bride, groom and family (even swooping down when a guest spilled red wine on the wedding gown to remove the stain and get me back to the party in minutes!) but went way beyond that in ensuring that our guests were well provided for even after the party. A second entire meal was delivered to our home later that evening so the reception site could be cleaned up while the remaining out of town guests could relax in comfort.

The Fifth Season has long ben a favorite spot for my husband and me, we eat there regularly. But we look back fondly at our tasting visit prior to the wedding. Everything we sampled that night was amazing and the wine pairings proved superb. It was about the most fun you could have in an evening out. After having had our own wedding catered by Jennifer and the Fifth Season I can't imagine working with anyone else for our children's events. (And with 3 already in college now, we may be needing them again soon!) If you hope to host a tasteful, elegant, and memorable event look no further!

The Fifth Season catered my daughter's recent wedding, but really managed the entire affair. Jeniffer co-ordinated all the venders and created a timeline that made it possible to relax and enjoy the day. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. Ingredients are fresh and local, the menu was varied. Our guests universally said it was the best wedding reception they had been to and the food was fabulous. Talk to Jeniffer about your vision and listen to the way she brings it to life. All the little extras she thought of to carry the mood of the event in the presentation of the food, the table settings and extra decorating touches were incredible.

The food here is outstanding. My rehearsal dinner was perfect-ran so smooth and everyone had a great time. We had a nice private room.
