I worked with Carla Bellisio of Fermata Designs for my October 8, 2016 wedding at the Red Clover Inn in Mendon, Vermont. This was one of the best wedding decisions I ever could have made. Carla created a custom wedding dress for me that made me feel more beautiful than I ever have. I didn’t have any luck finding a gown in retail stores – it seems that my desire for simplicity (and also sleeves) just aren’t something that are often found in the bridal industry. So I looked to Carla, and I am so grateful for it. Leading me by the hand through the construction and design process, she showed an incredible sensitivity to all of my concerns, working tirelessly with me to resolve issues and questions until we were both completely satisfied. We were also able to incorporate my grandmother’s buttons from her wedding dress, which was very important to me. I admire Carla’s commitment to sustainable fashion and fabrics, and was happy that my gown could be somewhat eco-friendly. I was amazed by the quality of the construction, and watching the gown come together over our fittings is something I will never forget. Carla’s artistry and craftsmanship was evident in every stich, and her perfectionist nature shone through in all aspects of the process. On the day of the wedding, I received so many compliments on my stunning gown, and I will never forget the look on my husband’s face when he saw me. I would highly recommend Carla and Fermata Designs to any bride.
