Most amazing imaginable photographer team!!

Can I give Lionel and Kristiaan six stars?? Seriously, these two are absolutely amazing. I could not more highly recommend them!! We worked with Lionel and Kristiaan for an intimate 12-guest wedding during COVID. Their photos are absolutely STUNNING and they did an incredible job capturing beautiful, authentic, organic moments throughout the day that we will treasure forever. My father-in-law is particular about photography and had a million questions about their approach to wedding photos. They were incredibly patient and thoughtful talking him through their style and took into account his feedback and desires for how the photos would look. He is a very hard guy to please, and he has been raving about how perfect the photos are. We couldn't agree more! Beyond how amazing the Madious are as photographers, they are also just wonderful people and it was such a pleasure to have them around on our wedding day.

Incredible Photographers, Unbelievable Pictures

Lionel and Kristiaan are truly DREAM COME TRUE photographers. They are so helpful through the planning process and on the day of. They are seasoned and professional, helping us through every step. On the day of, they
were truly outstanding. In special quiet moments, they blended right in. We were able to share so many meaningful memories even with a photographer there the whole time. They also HUSTLED. They were willing to run around with us and sneak in a couple shots inside, outside, in the bridal suite, at any moment we had time away from our guests...they were there, capturing it. They captured amazing moments with all of family and friends. We really wanted candid shots, instead of posed, and they nailed it. They got images of tears, laughter, and pure joy that we would have completely missed. The photos they produce are simply incredible. We could not be happier. They have a whole mix of artistic photos, candid, romantic, and most importantly they managed to capture the feeling in the room every time. Every photo they took felt so authentic and bursting with love. We would get married again just to have them shoot it!

Our photos turned out absolutely perfect!

Leah and Garrett were absolutely wonderful! We Skyped a few times before the big day and they answered all our questions and created a great timeline to fit in the photos we wanted. Of course wedding days rarely go as planned so they were able to help us adjust our timeline as needed when we started running behind.

Several people commented about how they have been to weddings where the photographer always seemed in the way but they were so impressed that they barely noticed Leah and Garrett at all! They did a wonderful job of staying out of the way but also capturing such beautiful and genuine moments.

The biggest thing I wanted was amazing candid shots and wow did they come through! I have such special moments of our first look, my father seeing me for the first time, my mother tucking back my hair, and even an awesome action shot of my MOH fluffing my train! They also captured some beautiful artistic shots that I can't wait to hang on our wall.

They ran a little behind on getting us our edited photos but they stayed in contact with us the whole time and kept us updated on the progress. It was well worth the wait because we have more stunning photos than we even know what to do with!

Kristiaan and Lionel were a PERFECT fit for my husband and I! We were lucky enough to be able to work with them for our Engagement Shoot and our Wedding Day! I was nervous about posing and looking awkward but as soon as we began our adventure of an Engagement Shoot, they put us at such ease! They kept us smiling and laughing and just let us settle into it and just be ourselves, together. When we moved to the ice rink, Kristiaan patiently (and stealthily) caught great shots of us through the crowd and Lionel even strapped on a pair of skates and somehow managed to shoot while not falling! The result were amazing pictures that our friends loved because they said it was natural and captured how we truly were together. And I love that they were able to draw that out of us and shoot it beautifully! And we had an incredibly fun time!
Now on our wedding day, they were such a joy and comfort to have around! And they went above and beyond...Lionel made a special trip to retrieve my veil and Kristiaan was the one who kindly and carefully placed the veil on my head! My family & friends loved them- they were so accommodating and genuine ninjas. Somehow they were everywhere at the same time without being in the way of anyone or anything!! The pictures we've seen so far are GORGEOUS and capture amazing moments that I'll treasure always! Having their energy and spirit at the wedding only added to the fun and by the end of it all- they're truly friends with amazing artistry and talent! You won't have to worry about anything once you're in their hands. They will be sure to capture the joy and love on your wedding day so you can always relive it through their gorgeous photography! We love you Kristiaan & Lionel! Thank you both so much!

We feel so unbelievably lucky that we stumbled across Artfelt Studios. They captured the joy and beauty of our wedding weekend, the exuberance of our guests, and the larger-than-life quality of the events perfectly. The Artfelt photographers have a great sense of timing -- looking at the pictures, it seems like they managed to be wherever our friends and family were at their most charming: the candids are fantastic. They did such a great job intuiting what moments it would be important to us to capture. In terms of the quality, all of the photos could be featured in bridal magazines - they're all so gorgeous it feels impossible to decide which ones to print and frame. They're so much more amazing than we even dared to hope for - really works of art. Plus, the photographers were fun and easy to work with (they added zero extra wedding stress), blended in easily with the party guests, and delivered the pictures on time in a few different convenient and easy-to-use formats (for web/ print/ social media).

I was tempted to leave this review after I got my preview pics, but just in case I wanted to wait for the full set. Just as I expected, they came out AMAZING. I can't stop staring at them and I honestly do feel like I relive moments from the day whenever I stare at them. The pictures are stunning, and Kristiaan and Lionel stand out in terms of the personal interest they took not only in photographing our wedding, but also to getting to know us as people (up to and including meeting us in person to look at the slideshow of images and give us the hard drive of the digital prints).

It immediately puts a smile on our faces when we think about how lucky we were to have the Madious fly to Michigan to be a part of our amazing wedding weekend! They truly are a part of our family now. The pictures are breathtaking and this couple is beyond talented! Lionel and Kristiaan are THE most down to earth, fun loving couple. They made us feel relaxed and beautiful, and made us laugh quite a bit ;) All of our friends and family were saying how they loved them and wanted to keep them in Michigan! The Madious will be the best vendor that you choose for your wedding....hands down. Their photography is simply breathtaking. We love the Madious! They took the time to meet with us in person in advance of our wedding to get to know our personalities and take some practice shots (mostly to get my husband and I comfortable with being photographed so that our wedding photos would turn out as natural as possible). On the wedding day, they were there at every special moment and captured the most beautiful shots, both posed and candids, of us, our family, and our friends. And we had so much fun with them! Not only are they incredibly personable and fun, they're everywhere, but not in your face, and by the end of the night, we felt like they were just another two of best friends having a blast on the dance floor. They were such a special part of our big day and have given us beautiful shots of the people most important to us to remember all the fun we had and all the love surrounding that day.

I cannot emphasize enough how much we LOVE Kristiaan and Lionel. They are an amazing duo. My husband's sister used them for their wedding and we had our heart set on them once we got engaged. We shopped around at first just to see what was out there since our wedding date for them was unavailable. We were so disappointed. Then when we found out that Kristiaan and Lionel were available we felt like the stars had aligned and the search stopped right at that moment. Working with Kristiaan and Lionel was so delightful and easy. They blend in wonderfully with family and friends so much that they make everyone so comfortable to be around them! You can tell they are passionate about their work and making sure they deliver their very best. They are dedicated to ensuring you are relaxed throughout your entire wedding day (Lionel at one point even let me use his coat because I was cold!) - That's genuine character! They are so much fun to work with, have an amazing way of capturing every moment, and really take the time to get to know you not just as their clients. We truly believe they are the best photographers out there! Their talent is remarkable. You are missing out if you don't utilize them for your wedding. You can't go wrong! Do yourself a favor - book the Madious as your wedding photographers! They were absolutely fabulous! I couldn't have asked for better photographers. Many guests at our wedding commented on their professionalism and how terrific they were. They were the best!

Before I delve into the vendor-specific review, I want to say one thing. If you are getting married, you will spend more time with your photographers than your family and friends. Make sure it is someone you get along with! I think the Madious will tell you the same thing. If there is one thing you should make sure is high-quality, it is photography. And the Madious are top-notch. Not to mention, their dog is adorable :)

I was interested in their photography because a) the quality is wonderful, particularly nighttime shots which are a good mark of distinction in my mind. b)on their website, they say "our mission is to capture to wedding so when you look at our images, it's as if you were there." I definitely had that feeling. They have a journalistic style and are particularly good at capturing emotion and natural moments. And the colors!!!

From the moment we booked them, we felt like their only client. They are very flexible and don't charge by the hour, which honestly is crucial because you never know how your day is going to go, so having one vendor there from the start to finish of when you need them, without stressing about timelines, is crucial. You also get BOTH of them. What a treat! It's not like one main photographer and an assistant - you get two highly qualified photographers of equal caliber but distinct, complementary styles. Plus they're husband and wife and love each other so much, which makes everyone's day so much more enjoyable.

We met a few times, once for the engagement shoot, and once before the wedding to figure out the portrait list and timing of the day. Having the extra face time before the wedding is so nice, but I know it's not always possible, it just so happened that we had the benefit of being local so that helped a lot.

The Madious are like family to me now. I would recommend them to any person who could fit them into their budget. It is money well-spent.

Where do I even begin? The Madious are incredible!! Not only were our photos for both our engagement and wedding stunning, they are just great people! You spend so much time with your photographers on your wedding day, and you want to make sure they are not only capturing great photos, but keeping you calm. They did that and more! The Madious recommended doing a private first look, which as the best decision we made for our wedding. Kristiaan and Lionel rode with each of us there and kept us SO calm. By the end of the night, they felt like another member of our family! They do an incredible job capturing beautiful portraits (how do they even think of some of these shots!?) while also taking beautiful, candid photos. By far the best vendor for our wedding!

The Madious... where do I even begin? I came across Lionel and Kristiaan's work by pure luck! I had been scouring the internet for images of our ballroom and stumbled upon a wedding The Madious had done at the venue we had selected. I quickly fell in love with their website/work, and we scheduled to meet with them shortly thereafter. We didn't meet with many photographers, but from the start, Lionel and Kristiaan stood out! There was no debating whether or not we would hire them after that! Based on their suggestion, we purchased the package that included an engagement session which was definitely worth it! We became more familiar with them, their style, and being in front of the camera, which was so much better than walking into our wedding without that experience and knowledge. As a result, we had a bunch of interactions with them leading up to our wedding. Come our wedding day, they were definitely more like friends, then someone we hired to photograph our wedding. They also quickly blended in with our bridal party, parents, and guests. My Mom, who has quickly become one of their biggest fans, will tell anyone that it was as if they were part of the family!

Regarding their work ethic/attitude - well they both will do pretty much anything for a shot! Hanging off a dock, laying in a puddle, you name it! And, the pictures are simply amazing. I feel like I can relive the whole day through merely the pictures which is AMAZING as we didn't have a videographer. Their website says, "we believe your wedding images should allow you to feel what it was like to be there." Lionel and Kristiaan definitely gave us that! You can truly feel the love, laughter, and happiness that we and our guests experienced that day by simply scrolling through our photo gallery. I do not see how anyone would be disappointed with their work. Hiring them was definitely one of the best decisions we made, and we look forward to using them in the future!

The Madious are the best!!! We loved working with Lionel & Kristiaan not just because they are incredibly talented photographers, but because they made the whole experience so fun and enjoyable. We got to know them on a personal level and I can honestly say they are some of the nicest people we've ever met. They did an amazing engagement shoot for us, helped us plan the wedding day timeline, and kept us calm the entire day of the wedding. When we finally got all of the photos from the wedding, we were blown away with how amazing they were. If you are searching for wedding photographers - STOP - you have found them! The Madious were simply wonderful. Their photographs speak for themselves (and we were of course impressed beyond belief with our images) but what I would like to comment on is the two of them. Lionel and Kristiaan are warm, friendly, and hilarious. From the moment we met them, my husband and I both felt at ease and it was as if we were hanging out with people we had known our entire lives. They really made an effort to get to know us as a couple and to see what our vision for the wedding was. On the day of the wedding, they showed up early and left when the last guests left bringing incredible creativity, talent, energy, and reassurance along with them. We could not have asked for better photographers!

We fell in love with Kristiaan and Lionel from the minute that we met them. They took the time to personalize our meeting and really understand what we wanted our wedding pictures to portray. Words cannot to describe how AMAZING our pictures looked from our big day. They truly retold the whole story of the night, capturing so much love, happiness, laughter, and candid moments that as a typical wedding couple , we missed. We posted our pictures on facebook and sent them to our guests. The feedback we received was so overwhelming..."The best wedding album EVER", " Gorgeous gorgeous pictures, we love every picture"...What makes The Madious stand out from all the other photographers , aside from their amazing mad talent, is their attention to detail and that they personalize all of their photos to the bride and groom rather than the same photos/poses for each couple. Kristiaan and Lionel are the best!!! There were a few key factors I was looking for in photographers: 1. I wanted my husband to feel comfortable with them 2. I wanted photographers who took pride in their art and looked for those special moments. 3. I wanted our photos to look like "us" not posed or staged. The Madious were this and so much more. Not only are they a pleasure to work with and are easy to communicate with, they really do whatever they need to do to capture the picture. They lay on the ground, climb trees, whatever, they do it all. I never felt like I was looking for them at my wedding, they were always there. I could go on and on about how great they are but just do yourself a favor and hire them.

Lionel And Kristiaan are absolutely AMAZING! I could not have been more happy with them them or our wedding photos. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Friday night before the wedding my husband wanted to change locations where he was getting ready and Lionel had no problem changing the plans with such short notice. My husband is not very comfortable in front of a camera but The Madious did everything to make sure he was relaxed and having a fun time. They captured so many beautiful and creative photos of us and our guests. Our friends and family could not stop commenting on how awesome the photographers were. Bottom line: BOOK THEM NOW!!

We could not be more thrilled about these two! They are incredibly talented photographers and we knew that we were going to get the highest quality photos to remember our wedding. They have a commitment not only to take incredibly beautiful and artistic portraits, but to capture the important moments that you don't see or notice (because the day flies by!). This is something they communicated to us when we first met with them, but seeing that in execution, they truly walk the talk.

Looking at the gallery of photos they sent us, it was like seeing the best day of our lives from a completely different perspective, just priceless. I tear up every time because they captured not only the moment, but the *feeling* experienced in those moments. Family and friends say to us that they've never seen wedding photos like this before. They're distinct from traditional wedding photography. They like to experiment with the portraits and manage to make even people uncomfortable with being photographed feel comfortable and have fun during the whole process.

Also, one of the amazing things about their policy is that they're with you from beginning to end on the best day of your life. Typically, you only get a photographer for 8 or so hours and then you pay extra for more hours. What's great about the Madious' policy is that you don't have to negotiate the hours. They WANT to be there for everything and they have so much energy throughout. They take a lot of pride and joy in their work - both the process and the outcome.

Beyond their incredible talent, they’re amazing people. When you hire a photographer, you're not only hiring someone to capture your day, you're also hiring people who will be spending more time with you during the day than your family or your fiance. We knew the moment we met them, that we wanted them to be a part of the day.

We absolutely loved working with Lionel and Kristiaan at Eyewonder. They made us feel very comfortable, which was really important to us (we were actually pretty nervous about taking photos!). It was cool to work with a married couple as well because they could model the poses they wanted us to do, and it all felt really natural. We took our engagement photos with them in DC, but we brought them to Florida to photograph our wedding. While we hired them for a standard wedding package (including engagement photos), they were willing (and did not charge us extra) to photograph any event we wanted while they were in Florida. We had a "wedding weekend" full of events, and they photographed everything (Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party, Wedding Day, Brunch, and we even did a Day After bride and groom photo shoot). The value was amazing and they were in such great spirits. They were also the life of the party and so many of our wedding guests came up to me to specifically remark on how great and fun Lionel and Kristiaan were.

Even more, the photos they took were simply amazing. Kristiaan and Lionel have a great eye for artistic and beautiful photos; and they did not disappoint. They spent their downtime scouting out places to take photos, and they had a clear vision for every photo in advance. One of my friends has told me that our wedding photos are the best she has ever seen. I can't say enough how much fun it was to work with this team, and I'm so glad to have these amazing photos to remember our wedding weekend forever. Lionel and Kristiaan - you guys are simply the best.

THE. BEST. EVER! My (then) fiance and I were headed to DC for vacation shortly after getting engaged and decided to do our engagement pics while there. I found EyeWonder online and booked them as soon as I could...with images that good, they had to be just as awesome. And they were! They woke up at the butt crack of dawn and spent several hours with us. The pictures turned out amazing and we fell in love with Lionel and Kristiaan so we booked them for our California wedding. We had to leave for our honeymoon the same day as our wedding but they managed to get in everything we wanted, including a shoot in another city! We love our wedding pictures and we've made new friends. I cant wait for our next trip to DC (or their next trip to Cali, whichever comes first) so they can take family pictures. You will not be disappointed if you book them!

What can I say about Eyewonder Photography; they are simply the best. Not only are they two great photographers, they are some of the most wonderful people my husband and I have ever met. Not only do they have the ability to capture moments as if they were stills in a movie, but give those stills life with such rich and genuine emotion, it is like reliving the day over and over again. We are extremely fortunate to have collaborated alongside their artistic genius and experience their expertise. They captured our vision expertly and created something magical that neither of us could have imagined. We have shared many laughs, tears of joy, and wonderful memories with these two. Shortly after our wedding, my husband’s grandfather passed away. Lionel and Kristiaan were simply amazing! Such a laid back couple. They shot our engagement photos for us a few months before the wedding. They really tried to get to know me and my husband and really made us feel totally comfortably throughout the entire session. We absolutely loved their adventurous attitude and their willingness to try anything. Our photos turned out amazing. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience!

EyeWonder is truly amazing. Their pictures are incredible. They captured the emotion and feeling of our wedding (with a particular focus on our closest family and friends), and their pictures retell the story. Our families and friends are amazed by the quality, creativity, and attention to detail of every picture. After the wedding, all we have are great memories and, thanks to EyeWonder, great pictures that allow us to relive the experience with over 1,300 images.

More importantly, though, they were some of the most popular people at the wedding - making jokes, blending in and socializing with people, answering photography questions, all while capturing everything we could've hoped for and more.

The end result of working with EyeWonder is getting amazing pictures that you, your families, and your friends will cherish, and gaining two more friends. We look forward to working with them in the future and staying close in the meantime.

By far the best photographers we've ever met, my husband and I feel so fortunate that EyeWonder photographed our wedding!!! My Husband and I can't say enough wonderful things about EyeWonder Photography. Not only professionals, but all around great people. Even though I adore memories, taking pics are one of my least favorite things to do. With Lionel and Kristiaan it is a pleasurable experience with wondrous surprises at the end!!! Lionel and Kristiaan are AMAZING and we're so grateful that we were able to work with them. Full disclosure: I hate getting my picture taken, awkwardly posing and whatnot. But taking pictures with them was such an easy, painless and enjoyable process. They have a real rapport with you, immdiately, that puts you completely at ease -- and they also have an innate ability to capture natural moments between you and your fiancee/husband/partner that you don't see in a lot of other photography. To quote one of our friends "I hate engagement photos, they're so cheesy - but I LOVED yours!". They're just able to do something special with it that sets it apart from all the other wedding photography you see out there.

I'd definitely recommend doing the package that includes engagement photos because it really allows you to get to know them -- by the time we actually had our wedding, Lionel and Kristiaan felt like old friends, which made it all the more enjoyable.

In closing, do it. They're amazing. They'll go above and beyond for you throughout the entire process, whether it's crawling into a barbwire fence (this happened) to get an amazing shot or climbing a ladder to take a picture of all your wedding guests (which looked incredible).

When planning our wedding, I spent months on end searching for the PERFECT photographer. I saw really great photos on EyeWonder's website, and some blogs. After our first meeting with EyeWonder, the search was OVER. We knew from the moment we met Kristiaan and Lionel that they were exactly who we wanted to hire. And they proved us right. We had an absolutely AMAZING experience working with them. They are creative, a pleasure to be around, resourceful, calm, nice, funny, and just all around awesome.

Beyond the most beautiful photos, they were also so helpful throughout the process and even the day-of with everything from makeup remover pads to safety pins or bug spray somehow stashed in the camera bag.

We've recommended them to several close friends and even Facebook friends that reached out to ask about our photos. EVERYONE that has since hired them has also had the same great experience.

BEST photographers of life. Seriously. Just Awesome. They photographed my NYC wedding and did an AMAZING job. They are VERY VERY VERY creative. When you see your photographers rolling on the ground, standing on random objects, you are in good hands. So many people sent me recommendations for photographers and no one compared to Eyewonder. Lionel and Kristiaan were great to work with from day one; they took the time to get a good understanding of who we were and what ideas we had for the big day. Working with Kristiaan and Lionel was a pleasure, and the pictures are absolutely beautiful. They captured playful moments, like when my now brother-in-law swapped sunglasses with his grandma, as well as touching, emotional ones. Their style is very artistic, which we loved, while still feeling really natural. We were so pleased with EyeWonder that my best friend is using them for her wedding next weekend. Highly recommend!

Eye Wonder photography is amazing - Kristiaan and Lionel are both great people to work with (and fun!) and exceeded our expectations in terms of the product they delivered. They truly captured every moment of our wedding beautifully...and their execution was seamless so we never even noticed them being around, they just fit right in with the rest of our guests and were never intrusive. Any salient memories we have of emotional / joyful moments are now solidified with several photos. They are very creative and artistic in their style so the photos are high quality and high quantity - they both love photography so much that they never want to put down the camera. They even came to our after party (which was not in the contract). We were so pleased with them, as were other guests at our wedding - in fact, one of my bridesmaids was so impressed with them that she is now flying them out to Seattle as her wedding photographers this summer!

I cannot sing enough praises for EyeWonder Photography! From start to finish you know they are invested in their client. I had been following their work for years so when the time came for my wedding there was nothing I would stop at to have them as our photographers (not even having a destination wedding!). They are thoughtful, responsive, creative, and flexible artists. I literally wouldn't have got through my wedding so well without them there. They are so fun and really treat you as a friend and their main priority. To top it all off, the photos they take are breath-taking. I received so many complements on our engagement photos. I am giddy with excitement to see the wedding photos! Invest in their services - the photography is more important than an expensive wedding gown or cake. You won't regret it!

Kristiaan and Lionel are amazing photojournalists. Just take a look at their Facebook page--their work speaks for itself. It's great that they are a couple because they understand the important moments to capture during the wedding and you can have one follow the bride and one follow the groom in the preparation stages. Their package includes getting them for the entire day of your wedding unlike other photogs which charge by the hour. They make you feel comfortable in your skin even if you are shy around a camera. They are costly compared to others we looked at, but for the professionalism, time they spend with you, and the quality of the work, it's worth the investment if you want truly amazing photos.

Eyewonder Photography is AMAZING! Lionel & Kristiaan are both highly talented photographers with an inspirational creative ability. We knew when we first met them that they were exactly what we were looking for. In addition to the beautiful and unique photos, they were a pleasure to work with. All of our guests commented on how wonderful they were. They were in no way intrusive on the party and were quick and efficient with the traditional family photos. We thought they were a great value because they don't force customers to buy the wedding albums by building it into their prices. They were very flexible when we changed our engagement session location last minute and needed our engagement session photos back with a quick turnaround. While their response time to e-mails isn't instantaneous, it is within a reasonable time frame and they always answered our questions thoroughly and honestly. They are fantastic and we have already referred them for a friend's wedding.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Lionel and Kristiaan are two of the most amazing people/photographers on the planet. I was so sad when the day was over and we had to part ways. Kristiaan and Lionel are truly the best wedding photographers out there. They are a husband and wife team, so you get two talented photographers for the price of one - they really play off each other, finding the perfect shots that balance creativity and tradition. They also made us feel comfortable for this reason as we planned our shots for the engagement sesion and wedding (eg, they could "pose" and demostrate). They are however, more than just wedding photographers - they will help you get ready, calm your nerves, look after you if things go awry.... Kristiaan felt like a third bridesmaid to me! My family went out of their way to comment on how they felt "part of the wedding." They didn't even get impatient when our families started asking for group pictures after dinner (with the requisite time spent rallying each respective group). And above all, their photos are stunning. If you are looking for top-rate wedding photographers with creativity and flare, Kristiaan and Lionel are for you.

Their photographs really are works of art! Very different, SO creative, and they really capture a fun mood between you and our significant other. Definitely take a look at their blog, website and facebook page and you will get a feel for Kristiaan and Lionel's work. Unfortunately I only used them for engagement photos but I LOVE how they turned out. It was easy to figure out a plan for the photos and location and K and L were full of great ideas. It was a blast and I have been recommending them to everyone that I know.

Lionel and Kristiaan complement each other.

They have an eye for capturing not only the visual imagery of the day, but also the emotion. They find a way to blend in to the environment so as not to interfere with the flow and feel of the event.

Artistic, graceful, and classy. They're not the same old stale wedding photography that just anyone can do. They're able to pull together images that would be missed by most.

I love them both and could not imagine having anyone else help us document such a special event. We'll treasure their work for years to come.

Kristiaan and Lionel are the total package. Excellent photographers, consummate professionals, and thoughtful human beings who are known to send a pre-wedding care package or two :) I couldn't have asked for a more perfect photography experience. They treated me, my husband, and our families with an uncanny love and respect. I highly recommend having a team of photographers, and you get that with EyeWonder. With two photographers, you get so many different angles, and Kristiaan and Lionel didn't miss one special moment! Because there are two of them, they were able to be with me and my husband separately. And they are engaged themselves, so they identify with the wedding planning process firsthand and are so supportive and sensitive to the wants and needs of the couple. And to top it all off...the pictures! I can't stop looking at them. They captured my day beautifully! I got so many compliments about my pictures, and everyone who saw them is dying to work with Kristiaan and Lionel now. My husband and I chose Kristiaan and Lionel to photograph our wedding in Vermont. This is quite an endorsement, because we liked them and their work so much, we flew them up from Washington, D.C. rather than hire one of the many, many quality photographers in New England. Why did we like them so much?

1. The quality of the photos speaks for itself. In addition to the 'mom portraits' that you will inevitably want to take, they create absolutely stunning images that will help you see your day in a whole new way. If you haven't already checked out their blog, do it now.

2. With wedding photographers, the process would be as important as the final product You won't end up with quality images at the end of the day if you don't feel comfortable, relaxed and able to be yourself around your photographer. Kristiaan and Lionel are utmost professionals, but are also relaxed, personable, and easy to get along with. The results speak for themselves - happy couple, happy family, and gorgeous memories that we will always cherish.

What struck me during the entire time we worked with Kristiaan and Lionel was how flexible and responsive they were to our needs. They were incredibly accommodating in scheduling our engagement shoot, and while it was a long day, they were both relaxed, fun, and yet amazingly professional throughout (when I might have been tempted to say, after four hours of photos, "Really? Now you want to go to Union Station? We've taken like 7 million photos," Kristiaan and Lionel were like, "Yeah, Union Station! Let's make it happen!") -- I think this speaks to how much they both really love capturing couples during this exciting and special times in their lives. And the photos themselves, for both our engagement shoot and our wedding, were absolutely stunning -- contemporary but also capturing all the right moments.

Lionel and Kristiaan are AMAZING to say the very least.

One of my friends recommended Eye Wonder Photography to me earlier this year. Her email complimented them left and right and I originally thought it was spam (as I'm sure all newly engaged couples are experiencing). I called her and she told me that she had indeed sent that email and that I should meet them. With her kind of raves, I agreed and Lionel and Kristiaan met me and my fiancé for coffee. They are just a pleasure to work with – they are both wonderful people and incredibly nice and personable.

For our engagement session, they joined us at Skyland Resort in the Shenandoah mountains and went on a 5 mile hike and up 2,000 feet to take pictures. Without any hesitation, they climbed trees, crawled in the dirt, and even laid down in the middle of a busy road to get the perfect shot. I’ve met and seen other photographer’s pictures in the past but none had the quality or creativity that Lionel and Kristiaan have. They both went over and beyond all expections and are not afraid to go the extra mile just for a single shot. And this is only the engagement session!

For the wedding, Kristiaan stuck with me and Lionel stayed with Kevin. I don't remember seeing them without the camera. All the guests told me they couldn't wait to see the pictures - they all agreed that EWP was everywhere, taking pictures of everything. Again, Lionel climbed trees and got on the ground for great, one-of-a-kind shots. And they were very understanding of a tired flower-girl!

For all those brides, weddings are a blur. You're everywhere, talking to a million people and being pulled in just as many directions. It's very exciting but very exhausting too. Make sure that the one thing you think hard about is choosing a good photographer (EWP!) because it's the only memories you'll have!

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!! That is what i have to say about Kristiaan and Lionel! We knew even before we got engaged that we wanted them to be our wedding photographers so the minute we got engaged we booked them!! We wanted photos that were art and that is exactly what they do!!! Our engagement pictures were amazing and so much fun to shoot. They sent us little presents throughout the year and it really made my husband and i feel like we were being thought of by them. If you want truly amazing memories of your wedding that are modern and artistic then they are the photographers for you!!

We simply could not have hoped to find a better team to join our wedding- and we echo the other comments, we feel as though we could have written the save reviews verbatim (minus the travelling to Vegas). Kristiaan and Lionel were two of our favorite wedding guests, every interaction with them was based on building a friendship from their end and we were happy to engage. Because they got to know us and our guests so well they were able to take the most beautiful pictures we have of our relationship. The best decision of our wedding festivities was to include EyeWonder in our lives!

My husband and I hired Kristiaan and Lionel of EyeWonder Photography for our wedding in October and we couldn't have asked for more from them. Throughout the whole process they were responsive to my questions, checked out the venue prior to the wedding so they would be prepared, offered to do more than one engagement shoot, made friends with everyone at the wedding and most importantly, took beautiful photos. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to have amazing pictures taken by an amazing couple. They may cost more than the average photographer - but you get two photographers and you really get amazing quality photographs. Kristiaan and Lionel clearly care about each client and it shows in their images.

I cannot believe there are NO reviews for Eyewonder!!! Let me first say that these two beautiful people are so wonderful to be around. I found them searching the web. Originally for informal engagement photos. We met with them in person, they are a couple, and they were so friendly! They will definitely make you feel comfortable. They want to get to know you first, which I love b/c it let's me know they are serious about what they do. We ended up doing our shoot with them (for a great cost). We already had our wedding photographer picked out...Our wedding was in Vegas, so we were trying to stick with local vendors to help with our costs. Needless to say...our Vegas photographer ended up being a hot mess and disappeared off the face of the earth (with our deposit). Eyewonder came to our rescue and we could not have been anymore happier. We were really trying to keep our budget lower, but honestly if you want great quality photos for your special day, you have to be committed to that and really trust that you are investing in something you will have forever. Yes, they traveled to Vegas for our wedding and can I tell you EVERYONE loved them! Our guests still cannot stop raving about them, and we haven't even seen all the photos. Please...if you are in the area, or just looking for great photos, reach out to them, you will be happy you did :)

I CANNOT say enough about the quality of the work provided by Art Felt. Every single, solitary photo looked like it came out of a magazine. Not only does their team have an eye for what will make a stunning photo, but they have well beyond average editing skills that truly allow your photos to come to life. All of our guests were thoroughly impressed by the work that they did and the moments they captured throughout the entire day. And, trust me, as someone that wanted to have a budget-friendly wedding, I was a little weary about their prices initially. However, when I saw the quality of the work and the final products that will last for a lifetime, I knew that I made the right decision. DO NOT go with any other vendor. Art Felt is it! Kristiaan and Lionel provided an amazing service to our wedding - they were very unobtrusive, but somehow managed to capture not only the big "official" moments, but also a lot of the really touching informal moments that I otherwise wouldn't have seen. I felt like EyeWonder took our personalities into account and delivered photos that showcased that. So in our photos, you can see our happiness, our friendship, our playfulness... all of that came through. Also, I was impressed by their pricing model. We found that many photographers lured us in with a base price with huge upcharges for many of the things we needed (multiple locations, pre/post photos, etc.).
It was nice to have a female photographer in the room as I was getting dressed. It meant she could capture all of the pre-dressed shots without me being concerned about "some man" seeing me in states of undress. I also loved that EyeWonder really behaved as though the wedding was about my husband and I, not about them. I did not detect one iota of photographer arrogance. They were willing to do what they needed to do to deliver pictures we would love forever.
