I can’t thank Merebeth enough for creating the cake I wanted. The flowers were placed perfectly on the cake. It was good even though I was only able to get the fruit basket. The cake was definitely a hit as there wasn’t any left. I’m so grateful with the flexibility of the cake being delivered earlier than what we had requested. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for making my cake!

Amazing vendor

I worked with Merebeth to construct my wedding cake and she was amazing. Her communication was excellent, every question I had, she would respond quickly. The wedding cake turned out perfectly, better than I can imagine and it was delicious too. I would highly recommend Ettore’s for your wedding cake. And a big shout out to Merebeth, thank you for making this portion of the wedding so easy.

Amazing dessert bar!

We decided on a dessert bar for our wedding reception and Ettore's did not disappoint!! We got everything from sheet cake to mini cannoli to fruit tarts and they were all a huge hit with our guests. Barely any leftovers!

Delicious! Worth every penny! The guests raved!

I can not speak highly enough about how delicious, fresh, and wonderful our raspberry cheesecake was for our wedding. Not too sweet, just enough and absolutely to die for! We will definitely be return customers for years to come with all of our big events!

Best cake around!

Honestly, our cake selection might have been the easiest part of planning our wedding. Can’t recommend Ettore’s enough. By far the most professional and most delicious!

We had Merebeth at the Natomas catering location meet with us months prior to our wedding and the process was easy and simple! We tried all of the cakes available and finalized three we wanted. On the day of, we heard more reviews about the flavors of our cake than the venue's food! Everyone absolutely loved it! Thank you to Merebeth for your awesome customer service and for helping us with our vision.

Merebeth was AMAZING. She was able to come up with a plan for our cake even though I didn't have a clear understanding of what I wanted. She put all of my thoughts together and created a masterpiece. The cake was delicious and her process of creating the cake from start to finish was perfection. On the big day I had a gorgeous 4 tier cake with ribbon and cascading fresh flowers. Wonderful job!

Ettore's is AMAZING! Not only do I love their wedding cakes but their restaurant serves up amazing lunch items. My wedding cake flavor was the fruit basket. I believe you can choose up to two or three flavor a but we decided to just stick to one flavor just in case guests complained they wanted one flavor instead of the other. Did not want to deal with that drama. Cake tastes amazing even though I literally was only able to take Two bites during my actual wedding day because of the crazy maddness of being pulled in 20 million different directions. Lol but working with the coordinator, Merebeth, was such a breeze and she was so much fun to work with. Love the fact that she will make you a complimentary 4 inch round cake for your one year anniversary and it can be any flavor you want. Love it!

Merebeth is truley amazing. She listens to what you are looking for and then as you're talking begins SKETCHING out what she sees in her head that you're explaining. The cake she sketched was perfect! The cake tasting was AMAZING and there's so many flavors to choose from (and it's HARD because they're all incredible!) We're really looking forward to seeing what our cake is going to look like and most of all, EAT IT! We get 4 flavors in ONE cake...how amazing is that? If you don't go here you are truly missing out!

I have nothing negative to say about Ettores. When we first met with Merebeth we knew we were going in the right direction. I had tagged along my auntie and uncle, my cousin, grandmother and my husband for the cake tasting. Every flavor we had tasted made the decision even harder in choosing the 4 flavors of our cake. I was able to show her examples of difference cakes that I like and she was able to put together a sketch using different elements of the cakes that I loved.

A few days later, I had contacted her to request a surprise grooms cake. She was able to come up with a design and send it to me asap. After I agreed, I sent in the payment and we were set for the wedding.

The cake was delivered on time. Once my husband and I walked into the room for a ballroom reveal, the cake was the first thing we noticed. It was everything and so much more. It was such a beautiful cake that I didn't want to cut into it. Once everyone had tasted the cake I received so any comments on how amazing the cake was.

I know we did right when we broke Ettores for our wedding cake.

AMAZING!!! Best cake & wedding cake we've ever had! I now know why Merebeth was so surprised to hear we had never eaten, let alone heard of Ettore's prior to searching for wedding cake bakeries. The cake tasting was awesome. We got to try about 8 flavors of cake and go through photos and favorite styles we liked. I went in only wanting a simple cake with frosting and flowers because I thought that was all we could afford. Merebeth listened to what our vision was and sketched up our DREAM cake, it was absolutely beautiful. I was so excited to see our cake the day of our wedding and was even MORE impressed. It was delicious and perfect.

We had two cakes from Ettore's, a groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner and our wedding cake. Both were STUNNING as well as tasty. Could not have gotten better!

I received a few quotes for cake designs in the Sacramento area and ultimately decided to work with MaryBeth at Ettore's. I've never even met her in person, but she's an absolute doll to work with over the phone and email since I live 2 hours away from our wedding site. She made the process very easy and super flexible. For the cake tasting, she had set aside a full box of slices of wedding cake flavors that were 90% heavenly. Even the lemon flavored cake I tried was good, and I don't like lemon flavored anything. I would not hesitate to recommend Ettore's for your wedding cake desires for service, quality and pricing was reasonable too. We can't wait to see how our top cake tastes on our one year wedding anniversary!

Not only were my wedding cakes from Ettores the most delicious cakes anyone has ever tasted (just ask my guests), but Merebeth worked so hard to make my biggest dream come true!

As soon as I got engaged, I didn't start browsing the internet for wedding dresses or wedding rings or glitzy new shoes. All I really cared about were my cakes. I had dreamed for years about having all of my guests get individual mini-wedding cakes. That's right! Envision giant petit fours for everyone.

Most bakeries laughed and refused to do it. Others quoted me the most ridiculous prices. Merebeth was the one who made everything a reality, and the cakes were probably the most stunning and unusual element of my wedding that everyone is still talking about.

Merebeth also helped me surprise my groom with a groom's cake at our rehearsal dinner that was made to look like a golf course and even included a tiny chocolate replica of his actual golf bag! Amazing bakery, amazing people.

Beautiful and perfect and delicious! Not only was our wedding cake beautiful, but it was so delicious that we did not have any cake left over, which was kind of a bummer because the next day all I could think about was having a piece of wedding cake! No worries though, because on our 1st anniversary we get a free top cake that matches our cake....I can't wait! I think the best part was the tasting, and worst part was having to choose which flavors. Their cakes are so delicious, it's hard to choose, so I did each layer a different flavor...it was a huge success.

I loved my wedding cakes from Ettore's. We got four delicious cakes for the price of one normal wedding cake. I worked with a woman named Merebeth who helped me choose the delicious cakes as well as gave me advice on things I could do to keep the cost down; one being to not use fondant! (Frankly, I've never seen the point of fondant!) The other wonderful tidbit is, if you come back with your original receipt at your 1 year wedding anniversary, Ettore's will make you a small anniversary cake for free!

I'm so glad we went with Ettore's! Delicious cake at a very economical price.

I absolutely loved going through Ettore's for our wedding cake needs. We ended up with two cakes - a beautiful 3 tiered traditional and a half a sheet cake that was decorated for a grooms cake. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and they even offer a discount if you pay the full amount at once. They were very upfront about what could and could not be done with buttercream. When we went for tastings it was a done deal. So good! For the grooms cake, the decorator took pictures that I sent her of our game characters and created them in chocolate. She then printed the map of the world that we play in and decorated the grooms cake. Above and beyond. I would recommend them to anyone.

The cakes were perfect! I ordered a custom grooms cake, and my wedding cake. Not only did they taste amazing but they looked beautiful! They were amazing to work with! I sent over 30 pictures for my cake and it came out better than I could have imagined!

Ettore's was absolutely amazing and Merebeth was so great to work with. She walked us through flavors and pricing from day one and was so flexible and understanding through all the changes I made to the design! We ended up with a cake with three different designs on each layer, including lace to match my dress. Wouldn't change a thing and so glad I chose ettore's.

Only thing I didn't think about was that I had the cake up on a stage to show it off, and my guests weren't able to take a close look at how beautiful it was! Take that as a lesson brides!!!!

Our cake was phenomenal! We got so many compliments on both it's looks and flavor! We went with the Princess Torte. It was somewhat light and fluffy which made for a great dessert after a very filling dinner! I would highly recommend Ettore's! Very easy to work with.

LOVE LOVE LOVE our wedding cake. Merebeth was so sweet at our tasting and patient. I knew I wanted the cake to be square but other than that, I had no idea. We decided on a 3 tier cake with several sheet cakes. Ettore's took the stencil design from our wedding invitations and added them to our top layer of the cake. They had so many beautiful sample cakes and she was really helpful with coming up with ideas and options. We had so many delicious flavors to try at our tasting. It made it really hard to decide. The best part was, we really didn't have to. We basically got to have a little bit of everything. We did 3 different flavors in our 3 tiers and then we did additonal flavors of sheet cake. Merebeth is extremely prompt about email responses and I really appreciate that. And even better.. for our one year anniversary, we get another cake! We didn't have to save any of our wedding cake. :)

Our cake was really, really amazing!! Not only did it look beautiful but it tasted devine. Marybeth made my cake look absolutely perfect and she was a real pleasure to work with. Ettore's is also really affordable AND they give you a free anniversary cake when you go back the next year. I highly recommend them! Either for cake or for a dessert bar.

My husband I are both graduate students and were on a tight budget for our wedding so we had to come up with creative ways to trim costs. When we were first looking at wedding cakes, we could not agree on a flavor or design- I like fruit and lighter desserts where he likes obscene amounts of chocolate. We were afraid we were going to have to order some Frankenstein concoction to satisfy both of our tastes but then realized we could order multiple cakes that would allow every attendee to have whatever dessert they wanted. We went to Ettore's and ordered 12 different cakes of various sizes that ranged from a NY cheesecake to a fruit tart- creating a dessert bar that our guests could enjoy. Everyone was thrilled with the result and my husband got to enjoy slices of chocolate truffle cake and cheesecake while I got to munch on my fruit tart. It was significantly cheaper as we avoided the "wedding tax" and allowed for such diversity that everyone had a dessert that they preferred.

I had 5 sheet cakes with 5 different flavors and there was nothing left after the wedding (and yes I even over ordered). The cakes were all so yummy that most guests had to try different varieties, and not just stick with one. I also ordered a special girly cutting cake for photos and for me to eat, and I ordered a special grooms cake decked out in all of my husband favorite things (for him to eat). Ordering was easy, delivery was easy, and everything turned out great!

Ettore’s made a great cake and has a GREAT staff! Lisa and Merebeth were awesome to work with. Merebeth helped to me to create a beautiful cake that looked better than I could have imagined. She was friendly and responsive, which made the process super smooth. The price was reasonable, but more importantly the cake was DELICIOUS! Let’s just say there was not one slice left at that end of the night!

The cake was delicious! I gave them a picture of a cake that looked kind of like i wanted and just explained the rest. When i saw my cake on my wedding day i was FLOORED!! They went above and beyond what i asked for. it was better than what i even had in my head! i would DEFINATELY recommend them to ANYONE!!

Merebeth was simply amazing. My wedding cake (tree stump) came out exactly as I pictured. She also took care of all my desserts for my dessert table; cupcakes, napoleons, eclairs, fruit tarts, brownies, cookies... the whole kit and kaboodle! She worked with our severe nut allergies without any issues. And what can I say, the cake was delicious. Delivery time was prompt and went without any issues. Would use them again in a heartbeat!

Expensive, but amazing cakes!!! Our wedding cake was custom designed and turned out so beautiful! Delivery was on time and seamless. Our wedding was only 80 people and ordered way too much cake...get 1/3 less than what is recommended.

Merebeth was great. Such a talented artist. Our cake design was more than we had hoped.
Looked beautiful on at our wedding. The only tiny prob was it was not exact ally the colors we had discussed. We should have left her color swatches. It turned out a brick red with black stripe instead of dark red with gray, but I'm sure no one noticed this but the groom and I.
Tasted amazing. Very excited to have it again in a year.

Our cake was amazing. It was by far the best tasting cake we had tried. On our wedding day, the cake was beautiful. It was exactly how we had discussed. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. You even get a free small cake on your one year anniversary!

Ettore's is the best place to order a wedding cake in Sacramento. They may cost slightly more than other local bakeries but the cake's taste far outweighs the added cost. The bakery is very professional and can replicate any picture. Cake tasting is fun there too. You get an entire slice of each flavor and get to take home the extras!

I have been going to this restaurant for quite some time and was estatic when I found out they did wedding cakes! This place has some of the best desserts I have had in my entire life. My soon to be wife was giving me the reigns on the food, so I was excited when i saw this place did cakes. The staff is very friendly and already knew me as a regular. The quality of the food is great and so is the customer service. I've already tasted a sample of the cake and I'm sure everyon will enjoy!

We ordered our beautiful wedding cake with Ettore's. We chose Ettore's because they are so well known in the area for gourmet and elegant cakes. The wedding cake coordinator worked very closely with our budget and our design we were wanting.

Ettores scheduled an initial consultation to discuss wedding cake design, which for our wedding, was a task we had assigned to my 9 year old step daughter. My step daughter went to the first consultation with a sketch in hand which made me a little bit nervous, but the staff gat ve me confidence that the design was going to be tasteful and make everyone happy. We trusted them with our child's idea and they did a fantastic job. The taste, the look and the value is worth every penny. The only disappointment i had is that we provided a handmade artisan piece as the topper and later discovered that it had been damaged. :-( This was a special piece we plan to keep a lifetime. We thought maybe it was broken at another time but when we reviewed photos of the piece we narrowed it down to the time it was at the bakery. We were sad that they didn't let us know and we had to find out on our own a couple of months later. Nevertheless, I would use them again -over and over. In the future I would be extra special and ask them to care for any toppers I bring to them.

My wedding cake was amazing. This was the least frustrating aspect of my entire wedding planning experience. I believe this was due to the quality of the product, their professionalism, experience in creating the dream wedding cake. It was the easiest decision to go with this bakery based on the quality, flexibility, and although the price of the cake was not cheap, it was truly worth it. We got the most compliments from the reception due to this wedding cake. The other thing you might want to make sure of is that they bake the cake as close to the wedding date as possible. Although our cake was not frozen, the freshness of the kahlua cake was not as fresh as our other flavor cake, the fruit basket. The cakes that you sample for the tasting are definitely more fresh. However, the design of the cake was overall breathtakingly beautiful, unique, and detailed.

We scoured on-line reviews and cake-tasted at about 5 places before we chose Ettore's, because HANDS-DOWN, NO QUESTION, their cake tasted about 10 times better than any other place we went!

The person that met with us (Alicia? the assistant manager) was incredibly pleasant, accommodating, and lovely. I don't have as kind words for the actual wedding cake handler, Jayna. She took the time to come up with 3 different quotes for us so we could make the cake fit in our budget. They were a little expensive, but cake quality and taste was well worth it! We showed them a picture and they said they could emulate it exactly.

In the time leading up to the wedding, things progressed okay - we got a few accidental phone calls from Ettores on my cell phone and they were somewhat unaccommodating about us speaking with Jayna in-person, but overall things went well. Our cake at the wedding was GORGEOUS and tasted DELICIOUS. The only but somewhat large mistake - the white fondant decorations over top of chocolate fondant were yellow instead of white!! No idea why that happened, but it was still a great cake nonetheless.

Ettore's created the most delicious individual fruit tarts for our wedding (160 of them!), and an adorable fruit cake for just the bride and groom - only six inches in stature, but simply decadent - which all met our requirements - no frosting! The used the freshest fruits instead and they were delicious! They even accomodating having a friend pick them up since we were out of their delivery area.

My cake was a simple, but elegant design, so I concentrated on the taste of the cake. Absolutely delicious and beautiful. I had heard rumors that Ettore's usually ran late, but they were on time and had everything set up so that my florist could decorate the cake. It truly was a beatiful cake by design and taste.

Working with Merebeth was the best part working with Ettore's. She was always very responsive to my emails and very flexible with the special request of a wedding croquembouche. However the actual delivery of the product left me wanting more. The driver went to the wrong location and being late did not bother me, but upon arrival the tower of croquembouche was hot and already melting losing its "wow" factor. It also bothered me that for the tower you could see the Styrofoam form they used (not sure if this was due to some of the cream puffs falling off or not being placed there in the first place). Again Merebeth was still the saving grace for me who handled my complaints and offered a partial refund. For something my husband and I were really looking forward too I felt I got the middle of the road product for what our expectations were.

Our cake was sooooooo good! The only thing I would say that we went through a lot of contact individuals there. It always seemed like I was talking to someone new and that they didn't know much about the detail of my wedding cake but honestly the cake was perfect!!! So all in all everything was great!

Ettore's would be receiving all 5's, but their was a small problem with my cake. It had a lean! It didn't fall over or anything of that dramatic level, but it did look a little silly. However, the cake was still delicious - I can't count the number of commpliments I still get about it- even months later (I can't wait for our complimentary anniversary cake-it comes with our order!). Also, when I emailed Ettore's with photos of the "leaning tower of cake", they promptly offered us a 25% refund along with their sincerest apologies.

Our cake was awesome, and as always tasted sublime! My only criticism is that they changed wedding cake coordinators during my time of service and I honestly didn't like either of them very much. In particular, I didn't like that I called to confirm details about 2 weeks before my wedding, and the new person called me back and left a voicemail (2 weeks before my wedding, mind you)..."I'm sorry, but we're already booked for your weekend and will not be able to provide a cake for your wedding." Then, a quick follow up, "i'm sorry. You ARE our wedding that weekend." We then spoke and I told her I no longer wanted a monogram on my cake. A few minutes later, she called back to tell me that I would need to bring my monogram in to them if I want that on my cake. ?! I just got done telling her "No monogram on cake." Anyway, cake was perfect and we were thrilled. They also did a guitar grooms' cake for us. It turned out pretty freakin' fantastic.

Very rude staff.

Lisa was terribly rude, as she was the first person we came into contact with it was very off-putting. Very unfortunate experience as she says she "has a large fan base".
