Beautiful, personal and well executed

Elisa was a pleasure to work with. We had our first meeting with her via skype/facetime well before the wedding. We described what we were looking for, which was a very personal non-religious ceremony. She then sent us a very detailed questionaire. My wife and I filled it out with an extremely large amount of details and she DEFINITELY used a lot of it to parse a beautiful ceremony. She was extremely amenable to the few changes we wanted and incorporating different elements. I loved the experience!

Truly wonderful

We needed an officiant quickly when one of our family members backed out at the last minute for our wedding. We called Elisa and she met us right away. We had less than 10 days to our wedding and not only did she drop everything to work with us, she wrote an entire wedding ceremony just for us. She sent us questions that we loved answering because they reminded us what this day was about. She got everything organized and pulled together our rehearsal which as going to be very stressful for us if we did not get help. My family was thinking that no one could really fill in, and make the day as special as we thought it would be, but Elisa did it. She won over my Mom and Dad and even my Grandma said it was the most beautiful wedding she has even heard- and she is the kind of person who thinks weddings have to be in a church. Elisa was professional and organized but also kind, warm and creative. We loved her.

Fantastic!

Our wedding day was nothing short of amazing and we owe so much of it to the work Elisa did to create a ceremony that was uniquely all about us. We come from different backgrounds and our families and friends don't really understand how hard it's been to try to blend our lives and our outlooks. My wife is from a traditional Christian background and I am Pagan/Wiccan. Elisa's ceremony blended our core beliefs in a way that was respectful to both of our families and friends, but also was able to show that at the core of it, we actually share much more in common any of us really realized until we read our ceremony. Instead of being nervous or feeling worried about what might happen during the ceremony, we felt at peace and it was magical. There was such a feeling of love not just between my wife and me, but between all of us. As a same gender non traditional couple, we had some pretty negative ideas in our heads about the ceremony and we were going to go with something super short until we met and talked to Elisa. She made our entire day a celebration of the things we love most about eachother and our families. We can't thank her enough, and we highly recommend her.

Most heartfelt ceremony

Elisa married us yesterday and it was the ceremony of our dreams! Elisa was the celebrant for my brother and sister-in-law's wedding and we loved how she made the ceremony so personal. Well as soon as we got engaged, we knew we wanted Elisa to be our celebrant! She was so fun to communicate with and filling out the questions about each other to personalize ceremony was lots of fun! Elisa put together the most beautiful and heartfelt ceremony that told the history from how we met and our most memorable moments together. Our guests were raving about how much they enjoyed the ceremony and how personal and heartfelt it was. From the bottom of our hearts, thanks Elisa for the best day ever! The sweetest/most thorough celebrant! ❤️

My husband and I had no idea who we wanted to be our celebrant, we were overwhelmed with choosing someone to lead such a special part of our day! Then we met Elisa, and she was so sweet, absolutely loves what she does, and was eager to create the most beautiful version of our day possible.. we hired her right away! ❤️ She came up with a ritual for our ceremony that I didn’t even know existed, it made me cry as soon as I read it.. she truly loves every part of it, and wants to make it exactly what you want! everything we wanted-none of what we did not

Elisa came highly recommended and we can see why. She arrived on time, well dressed and totally prepared. She crafted a ceremony that was just was we asked for-simple, meaningful and lacking in anything stuffy or over the top. We actually told her "less is more" and she understood. She was able to focus on what we wanted and who we are and we ended up feeling like these moments were much more meaningful, but still in a light joyful way. We have both been married before and did not want anything like what we had before- and this little perfect ceremony was a gift. Respectful but not heavy, kind and gracious without sounding like a hallmark card. She is warm, easy going and a total prof.

Beautiful ceremony

Top notch. Professional and knows how to work with couples AND families. In our ceremony we had kids and a dog and no matter what we told her we wanted to include Elisa kept smiling and figuring out how to make it work without our ceremony feeling too out there. Even our Grandparents were pleasantly surprised that our ceremony was respectful, tasteful and still very much about our life and our interests. Everyone said they loved it, but most importantly, it made our day feel like it was really celebrating our love and our relationship.

Absolutely heavenly!!!

Thank you for creating a one of a kind wedding for our one of a kind day. You made us realize how much we love each other. We were not even nervous because we knew everything that was about to happen but it still felt fresh and new and in the moment. We were married last night in the sweetest ceremony. We wanted a small intimate experience, we wanted our ceremony to highlight the night and tell our own story. We did not want or need standard cookie cutter words from some pinterest board. Elisa wrote a ceremony that was elegant but simple, meaningful but light, romantic but never sappy. Everyone says you forget the ceremony because it goes by so fast, but I don't think I will ever forget the vows we made or the way I felt or the looks on the faces of my family and friends. Our wedding ceremony was totally and amazingly beautiful. Thank you Elisa.

We heard about Elisa through a friend and decided to contact her. We had no real idea what a Celebrant is or what they do or how they work and we were not even sure what to ask. We knew with the first email that we were working with someone that was going to be easy to work with and fun. It was a great experience from that first email. Our ceremony was written about who we are and it was created to be something that looked like a traditional wedding, which we wanted, but was not at all formal or stuffy or full of things that are not "us". Instead Elisa filled our ceremony with our favorite movie quotes, baseball trivia because that's how my husband and his brothers talk, a reading that made our Mother's understand how much we love them and even a way for both of our Fathers to be in but not have any "who is giving away this woman" stuff. We felt like our ceremony went from something we almost wanted to avoid, to one of our favorite parts of the whole day. I hope everyone feels the same way and if you are not sure, you should email Elisa because she will get you there and she will make your entire friends and family feel like your wedding was an inspiration.

We have always wanted to get married in Vermont, and did not know anyone up there. We were impressed that Elisa was willing to travel, worked on our ceremony through Skype, and made us feel like she really knew us. When we finally met her we felt right at home. Our wedding was small and intimate and our ceremony was totally us. Being it was a small ceremony we felt we needed so much more from the actual service. Elisa and her partner were the absolute most amazing people we could have hope to work with. She was able to combine our heritage, our hobbies and even our favorite drink into a ceremony we will never forget.

Sometimes you just know the moment you meet someone, you want to work with them. Others you meet and you want to hang out with them. Some you meet and you can't wait to do both- that was exactly how it was when we met Elisa. It was not just the ceremony she wrote for us, but it was how she talked and listened to us and to our families. We all knew we were in good hands, my bridal party loved her, my parents who I thought would never get over our decision to not have a religious wedding, were blown away with how perfect the ceremony was. It was fun, it was respectful but not overbearing, it was just totally us and we will always remember how special our ceremony made us feel.

We had not really budgetted for an officiant or a Celebrant, but after meeting Elisa we knew this was going to be something we were making the right decision about. My husband and I are so incredibly grateful to Elisa for our beautiful and personal wedding ceremony. Elisa wowed us from the first phone call with her creative ideas, personality, and professionalism. She sent us each a questionnaire to fill out about ourselves, out relationship, our love, everything about us. She took many of those elements and incorporated them into our ceremony. We felt that she really captured our relationship and created a truly personal ceremony that made our guests feel included as well. She included a few details that neither of us had heard of, like having out families pass our rings up and down rows to share their blessings, that made the ceremony that much more special. We think one of the best things we did for our wedding was look for an Officiant who could make our ceremony special. Not neccisarily crazy different but a ceremony that said something about who we are and what we mean to eachother. Elisa was the BEST officiant we could have imagined. She was spot on in getting to know us and in putting together a ceremony that everyone loved. We all laughed and tears were real and honest. We cannot recommend working with Elisa strongly enough. We met with Elisa for the first time at a Starbucks down the road from our house. It was supposed to be a twenty minute meeting but I think we ended up being there for close to two hours! Elisa is a wonderful person and she is very personable. It felt like we had known her for years. We knew that we had to have her as our celebrant! After booking with her, Elisa sent us questionnaires that we had to fill out separately so she could create our ceremony. The questions were great because in a stressful time it was nice to be able to take a step back and really reflect on our relationship. It puts everything into perspective! After we sent in our questionnaires she sent us back our first draft and we went back and forth until the ceremony was just right. The BEST part about this whole process is how truly personal it makes the whole ceremony. I told Elisa going into this that I didn't want people to just brush off the ceremony and only focus on the reception (as let's face it, many people tend to do). She helped us create such a special ceremony that SEVERAL people came up to me during the reception and wanted to talk about how great and uniquely "us" it was. We are so thankful to Elisa for everything!!

Greg and Elisa were both great to work with and we loved our ceremony. It was what we wanted and it was fun and easy going. As far as we are concerned working with either Greg or Elisa is a great opportunity. Our highest recommendations. We thought we just wanted as plain of a ceremony as possible, but when we talked about it, what we really wanted was a ceremony that was better for us than anything we had seen in churches or by the JP guy who showed up at our friends weddings. THIS is a wedding ceremony you will WANT your friends and family to come to and they will thank you for it.

We loved our wedding ceremony and working with Elisa. It was not just super easy but it was a lot of fun. We had the wedding we wanted. It was all about us and it was all about the people we love. After our first meeting, I knew Elisa was perfect to officiate my wedding. She is warm, personable and funny- and a true pro at what she does. She cares about her clients and will go above and beyond and always readily accessible via email and phone. As a nervous bride, it’s reassuring to have someone so wonderful there for you during the most important process of planning- your ceremony.

In my wildest dreams I could never have imagined she could take mine and my husband’s questionnaires and make it so personal it captured our love story in the most beautiful way. It had pieces of him, it has pieces of me … and the best balance of our personalities. She had the guests both crying and laughing. My husband is not at all emotional- and at the ceremony he couldn’t fight back the tears. That’s how good she is. The talent she has to understand a couple and write their story and vows in such a way … it’s truly a gift.

I am honored and grateful that we were so lucky to have Elisa on the most important day of our lives and make it so memorable. Our friends and family kept going on and on about how great the ceremony was.

I would recommend Elisa to any couple looking for an officiant – if I could give her more than 5 stars I would!

Elisa wrote the most beautiful, personal ceremony for us. She was able to capture us and our relationship perfectly- incorporating our personalities, our history, and even the mountain setting of our wedding into the ceremony. She was incredibly professional and easy to work with, and she really knows how to put a stressed bride's mind at ease! We had so many wedding guests tell us how beautiful the ceremony was and how it made them laugh and cry.

We can't thank Elisa enough for creating a ceremony that was more meaningful than we thought we would ever find. She was really supportive of my self and my partner. We really liked meeting her, but on our wedding day we were a little nervous, when we saw her walking across the park with a huge smile on her face we totally relaxed and felt joyful and relaxed.

As a same gender couple, we felt like Elisa was there for us in so many ways. Our ceremony made us both cry because it made us realize how happy we are to be able to spend the rest of our lives together and it helped us focus so much on who we are and how lucky we are.

Our wedding ceremony was one of the highlights of our entire day. Elisa and her assistant took care of everything. Our ceremony told our family and friends about the love we share and it reminded us why we were getting married. Our wedding ceremony was a wonderful experience because we chose to work with Elisa and Tapestry Ceremonies. We had no idea what we wanted but we knew we did not want standard religious or totally impersonal. We met with a few JP's and it was too business like. Many didn't even return our calls. Then we met Elisa and everything changed. She totally understands that not everyone is the same, we did not want something like everyone else, but we also didn't want anything too different or too out there. She made us feel comfortable and then she totally blew us away with the ceremony she wrote for and about us. More than we could have imagined, we loved our wedding ceremony. Our family and friends keep telling us how wonderful it was to hear about our own love story and how it made them all laugh and cry.

When we started planning our wedding we knew we wanted something different, not out of this world, but something more than a quick service sand ceremony and some personal vows. We had no idea how to make our wedding ceremony meaningful and memorable until we met Elisa. She spent time getting to know us from the first time we talked to her. She worked with us to get a good idea of who we are and what we really wanted to convey, and then she got to work. When she sent us our draft ceremony, I cried at work!! It was perfect and beautiful and it was totally "us". I give her the highest recommendations, and so do my family and friends. Of all the things people talked about our wedding, our ceremony came up time and time again. I can't wait for Elisa to help us renew our vows - and to be there to do a baby welcoming when the time arrives.

Elisa was amazing as our wedding officiant, and I can’t say enough great things about her! From the very beginning of our planning, to creating our own unique wedding ceremony, to the rehearsal, and the day of, Elisa was there with us every step of the way. She was able to custom create a wedding ceremony that really reflected our love and commitment to one another. I’ve had to sit through plenty of stuffy ceremonies, and Elisa understood what we were looking for, and was able to create a ceremony that was truly ours. When you book with Elisa, you know that you will be in great hands since you’ll be working with THE BEST!

Elisa is without a doubt AMAZING. Our ceremony was so personal and unique, we were blown away. Our guests continue to tell us how emotional and beautiful the ceremony was. I reread it all the time- she included everything we asked for plus some. We got married on All Souls Day and it was super important to us to mention loved ones who had passed and Elisa told the most beautiful story without making it super sad. She has a knack for people and understands who you are and will tell your story like she's known you forever.

Elisa is literally a phone call or email away. She responded to every email and question I had leading up to our wedding so quickly. She's wonderful! Do yourself a favor and contact her!!!!

From the first time we talked to Elisa on the phone until the moment that she completed our ceremony, it was nothing but a total pleasure to work with her. She is eloquant and professional, warm, inviting and reassuring and she is on top of every detail. She wrote a ceremony that was totally unique but yet, totally understandable to everyone. Elisa provided us with the most beautiful, perfect Wedding Ceremony! Everyone thought it was so unique. My Aunt passed away just one month prior to my wedding and my family was still grieving and Elisa figured out just the right words to say at the start of our ceremony to acknowledge and honor her. Everyone was so touched and really loved it. We chose to have a customized ceremony and Elisa found the way to merge contemporary with traditional- it was so cool! The common thing everyone kept telling me was that it was "so you". I am truly grateful I found Elisa because she really created a ceremony that reflected me and my husband and our personalities. From start to finish, working with Elisa was easy, stressfree, enjoyable and in the end remarkable. We had no idea what to expect from a Celebrant, and what we found with Elisa exceeded all our thoughts or expectations. She really took care of details but mostly she wrote a ceremony that was like nothing anyone in our family or friends had ever heard. It was about our story and it was about the things that are important to us. She even helped us consider adding meaningful touches to our ceremony that made it super special. We laugh because when we met her we told her we wanted something short fast but as we listened and talked, we realized what we really wanted was to cut out all the old fashioned traditional impersonal language and we wanted to keep in the parts of a wedding that touched us. Elisa showed us that by having a personalized ceremony, we did not have to settle for anything, we could have a ceremony that matches our hopes and dreams of our wedding day. This is probably too long, but for everyone out there thinking your ceremony is just something to get over with, you should talk to Elisa. You will see your wedding from a whole different perspective.

We truly enjoyed our experience with Elise....she really put us all at ease with her confidence and ability to manage all so well! She made us smile, and at times laugh, throughout the whole process. Elise is a true professional and her passion for being a celebrant truly shines! Her creativity and arrangement of words brought many to tears on our wedding day.....even to me,the bride, just while reading beforehand! Elisa provided us with a personal and thoughtful ceremony. She got to know us personally and took what she learned about our journey together and created a beautiful ceremony that our guests are still talking about. We did not want our guests to sit though yet another cookie cutter ceremony. The personalization and thought given by Elisa was immense. I first spoke with Elisa through email - I just sent her an email loaded with questions as I had seen her name online. Elisa provided me with an extremely helpful response that included a detailed answer for all my questions. After that, we decided to meet with Elisa for some additional questions and to consider her for our wedding. She was incredibly personable and she made you feel like a friend right away.

She provided that personal service each step of the way and in the end delivered a beautiful personlized ceremony which was exactly what we were looking for. I can't even count how many people have reached out to us letting us know what a beautiful ceremony it was.

I highly recommend Elisa as she has a great knowledge of ceremonies, makes you very comfortable throughout the process and delivers a great end product!

My partner and I were married on June 26, 2013 in Beautiful Elizabeth Park of West Hartford, CT. From our very first phone call to Elisa, we were pleased with her ease, politeness and openness to answer any questions about her services. There were other officiants that we called, but no one compared to her availability, pricing, personality and communication. Elisa created a wedding ceremony that fit us perfectly. She was wonderful to work with, and from the beginning was warm, down to earth and a professional. We can't enough good things about working with Elisa. We Loved the process of creating out ceremony and we felt that it really spoke to us and to those who knew us.

Because our ceremony was not the same old thing, people stopped and listened and felt involved and happy for us. So many people came up to us after the ceremony to ask how we found Elisa and we made a ceremoy so unique, warm and reak.

We really did not have to worry about anything, every little thing was organized and easy. Finding the right person to do our ceremony because we are not overly religious was difficult, but choosing Elisa was easy! From our first meeting, we knew this was going to be perfect and it was.

I could write pages about how wonderful Elisa was to work with. She is sweet, funny, talented, and she wrote a heck of a ceremony. Everyone commented on how original, personal, and beautiful our ceremony was. Elisa went above and beyond on our wedding day. Our wedding was outside, it poured GALLONS of water, and she kicked off her shoes and helped us rearrange everything so that we could get married in our tent. She was amazing. I contact Elisa because I had read a lot of good things about her out on some wedding websites and on her website, and I was really impressed with the great things people had to say. From the moment I met her till this day, it was the best decision I made about my wedding. We loved how approachable and easy it was working with Elisa but also that she thought of details and kept track of things we never would have remembered. I thought about my wedding as all about the reception, but during our ceremony I realized, its about our wedding, our promises, and it's about our relationship, and realized that Elisa's advise was always 100% right, and her belief in a meaningful ceremony was totally inspiring and true. You will like Elisa right away, but when she does your ceremony, she will blow you and your friends and family away. Jaime and I found Elisa quite by chance - We had hired a different officiant who suddenly found she was unable to do our ceremony. She quickly and without hesitation recommended we contact Elisa and it was KISMET!!! We could swear from our first meeting that it was the match my future wife and I were meant to make with our officiant. As a same sex couple, it was critical to us that our officiant was comfortable with us as a unit, but also understood the value of our rights, and how monumental this step was for us. She was clearly going to be one of our cheerleaders from moment one!!! She was professional, but never detached. She was organized and to the point, but never unable to share her bright personality and wit, or her friendly support. She was available all the time to answer any old crazy questions. She calmed me down and reminded me to "just breathe". When we read though the final draft of our ceremony, we knew that she had heard us talk about who we are, our families, what the wedding meant to us, and she managed to fit it ALL in to our exquisite 30 minute ceremony - readings and all.

The day of the wedding, I was a nervous wreck. Elisa transitioned smoothly between her officiant role and her support/friendship role and helped me focus, calm down and take in this most important day. I will never be able to express my gratitude in enough words, and I know Jaime feels the same.

I hope that Elisa and I remain in touch for a very long time - Her spirit soars, she is so bright and loving and is someone I consider a welcome and much needed addition to my spiritual and personal family.

Elisa is the most wonderful celebrant we could have imagined finding. She is sensitive, warm and sincere and she is so easy to work with! Our wedding was just awesome! Somehow she found the right words to express how we feel about each other. Elisa was very accomodating with all of our needs and requests. We are not the typical couple, and working with Elisa, we got a lot more than the typical wedding experience. Top notch experience. Elisa create a ceremony that exceeded our expectations, and set the tone for our entire evening. She was on top of every detail. We did not have to worry about a thing. For 2 type A people, it was amazing how easy it was to work with Elisa. I can't say enough about the level of care she pays to everything, from the words in her perfect ceremony, to the details of our day, to going out of her way to make sure our friends and loved ones were comfortable during our rehearsal and into the day of our ceremony. Elisa was outstanding - she provided us with an incredible, personalized ceremony that is unmatched in comparison to what we would have received from a JP or other officiant. I know it looks almost fake to see all 5's for my rating and I was almost uncomfortable doing it, but Elisa was amazing and I knew writing an explanation would help. Me and my husband are from different states and Glastonbury was in the middle, making is the most convienent place for our friends and family to meet for our wedding. She not only worked through the struggles of us normally being in two different places, she helped us make sure we knew how to get ready in Glastonbury and she also developed a ceremony that made us feel like it was one of our closest friends celebrating our love with us. My wedding day was my dream come true for so many reasons, but Elisa definitely played a part in making it so special....our wedding was very small, but every guest that was there mentioned how great the ceremony was.

Elisa is a welcoming and open individual who was truly invested in our happiness throughout the entire process. Because we live in NH, we were able to talk on the telephone and write emails to plan our service. Although she was performing the legal ceremony, she catered it to our needs, and made sure we were comfortable with all language and intentions. We would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone seeking to be legally joined.

Elise was everything we had hoped for. First off, she gave an extensive interview in re: what kind of couple we were, how we met, what motivated us in life. She gave us suggestions and guidance but never made made judge mentor forced us one way or the other. From the moment we met Elise, we enjoyed every bit of the process. It wasn't exactly clear in the beginning what the end result would be which for some might seem scary. Quite the contrary, it allowed us to really think about what our wedding day meant to us. I have such a wonderful memory of constructing the ceremony with Elise, that I asked my husband if we could do it again this year! HA! Elise is the best!

Our ceremony was the best part of our entire day. It was everything we wanted, but did not know we could have. We had guests and family and friends come up to us for days after telling us how incredibly moving and joyful our wedding ceremony was. Elisa was wonderful, and our ceremony was more than one of a kind, it touched everyones hearts. We will never forget it.

When we met Elisa, we immediately felt like we'd known her all our lives. She was excited about our wedding & our love story. I'd written up my own ceremony, but she said she'd alter it in a positive way. We hired her on the spot in October for our May wedding.

Unfortunately, there were several things that we were unsatisfied with after that point. Trying to get in touch with her is generally best through Facebook - her site email server, at one point, totally malfunctioned. She didn't have our ceremony written until 3 and a half weeks before the ceremony, despite an earlier request for it so that we could purchase the tools needed for it (sand ceremony vases, handfasting cords, etc.) To her credit, the ceremony was beautifully written and made me tear up. I did have to correct multiple spelling and grammar errors, but I'm an English teacher.

For our rehearsal, she had to cancel due to another wedding she was officiating having a major delay. The delay was a tragic and reasonable delay - we have no issue with that - but she said she'd send her assistant to conduct the rehearsal. The assistant never showed, nor did we get a call telling us the assistant wouldn't show. We waited as long as we could, then we conducted the rehearsal mostly thanks to our wedding contact at the Spa at Norwich, Jill.

On wedding day, Elisa showed up and conducted her duties, but mispronounced our new last name at the beginning and end of the ceremony, despite our DJ telling her exactly how to pronounce it. (Our DJ wrote down a phonetic spelling of our name. It's a ONE SYLLABLE name.) She did not ask for our wedding license, though I had it on hand. I had to meet her a few days later to give her the license to file so that we were legally married. Apart from mispronouncing our name, she was delightful and helpful on the day of the ceremony.

For this service, we paid $750. That amount is far too expensive to have the first moment of your married life start with someone mispronouncing your name.
I like this officiant very much as a person but, due to the problems above, I would not recommend this vendor to another bride.
