  My husband and I are so thrilled to have worked with Elisa for our big day!! She and Kristen made us feel so comfortable and natural and really embodied the spirit of the day. We received so many compliments from the wedding party about Elisa too -- so made everything so seamless, but also kept things fun for everyone involved.
  
  She is so warm and talented -- we can't recommend her enough :)

  I would recommend Elisa B Photography to anyone looking for skilled wedding photography on a tight budget. After looking at several photographers significantly outside my budget, I contacted Elisa to see if she could work with me. Although her pricing was also higher than I could afford, she recommended one of her associate photographers, Cheryl, who was much less expensive. Elisa and Cheryl have a great photography system involving two people (the photographer and an assistant, who holds a large flash screen). This makes the photos look airy and well-lit, without creating red eye, extra weight, and other issues that flash usually causes. I was especially happy that Elisa edits all the photos herself, even though I only paid the associate photographer rate. Cheryl and her assistant traveled out to my wedding venue in Reston to take engagement pictures, and they turned out beautifully. I have not received my wedding photos yet (my wedding was only two days ago) but based on the engagement photos, I am certain that my wedding photos will also turn out well.

  Elisa and her husband Edward make such a great team. They were so much fun to work with and completely put my now husband and myself at ease all day. Also the pictures that I have seen are stunning and I cannot wait to see the rest. I also liked how quick they were with getting all the family pictures done. We were able to get to the last half of our cocktail hour but still have a ton of pictures!

  We used Elisa B. Photography for our wedding and they were amazing! We met with Elisa in August for an engagement shoot. Neither one of us were very excited about posing for awkward pictures, but Elisa made it fun and very comfortable. It was great to get to know her before our wedding day. (Highly recommend this move!) We loved the engagement shots... Fast forward to our wedding day and both Elisa and Edward were AMAZING! Totally reliable, organized, (they are a very cute team!) and did not miss a beat. They knew exactly what we wanted captured during the course of the day (pretty much everything) and they nailed it. Having a husband and wife on board for the whole day (from prep and first look shots to the very last shot in the limo), Elisa and Edward were great. Elisa was a super calming presence leading up to the ceremony, and was just helpful in every way imaginable. The price was high, but certainly not the highest we checked out, especially in the DC area. They are worth every penny and then some! I was worried about my expectations being too high for our wedding pictures because I had heard lots of brides set the bar too high, but truly the shots were even better than we could have hoped. I have no hesitation about recommending Elisa B. Photography to anyone...call them now! :)

  They were great. I loved the fact that every time she took a picture she would say thank you. The photo booth was a lot of fun for my guest!!

  Don't look any further for your photographer! Elisa and her husband did our engagement, wedding and after session photography. She is an incredible person to work with, and the images she produces will bring you to tears. Her eye for the small details is incredible. Looking through my wedding photos I was constantly surprised by the photos she captured of small details that I'm sure no one would have thought of but I was so pleased she took.

  My husband David and I just got married at the end of July. Elisa and her husband took both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. We absolutely LOVE them all!! I do not enjoy getting my photo taken normally, so I was pretty nervous about doing the engagement session. But Elisa made my (then) fiancé and I feel very relaxed, and we all ended up having a blast! David and I loved seeing Elisa's excitement after taking a great shot, and it made us excited too. David and I used one of the photos from that session for our wedding invitation, and I had so many people tell me how gorgeous it was!
  I simply could not be happier with our wedding photos. They are stunning! Several of my married siblings said, "Where was Elisa when WE got married?" I love the creativity and color in all the photos. And she did such an amazing job of capturing all the details of the day. When my husband and I looked at them for the first time, we both got the same butterflies we had before the ceremony as we looked at our pre-ceremony shots! And she did a great job organizing all the family shots...I am one of ten kids, so my large family has always been a challenge for any photographer. But Elisa handled the situation efficiently and with a fun attitude! She also uses her fun personality to come up with some great shot ideas. My husband is a baseball pitcher, so we got some shots of us playing baseball in our gown and tuxedo!
  I would highly recommend Elisa to any bride. She is dependable, personable, efficient, and extremely talented.

  Elisa and Edward (and their intern Cici for a day) photographed my wedding and engagement session. Here are some things that make Elisa amazing at her job: 1) Elisa is good at directing and organizing people/shots! Especially for a wedding, a bride does not want to be thinking about what shots she wants, organizing her family/bridal party, and stressing about thinking of what shots are fun. Elisa is GREAT at getting creative and beautiful shots done quickly. She does not linger and she takes initiative (which is imperative for a photographer!). I have heard too many people be upset with wedding photography because they had to take the initiative. You don't have to worry about this with Elisa because she will take it in her own hands. 2) Elisa cares about you as a person! She had us over for dessert twice to introduce her photography and have a personal viewing of the wedding shots. She took a lot of time to go through all of the pictures and show us her work. 3) Elisa is CREATIVE. She knew our personalities and found a carnival in town that she thought we would enjoy for our engagement pictures. She is always thinking outside the box and looking for creative shots/locations. 4) Elisa displays a good understanding of the privacy you need for a wedding. She was great about stealing us away for private shots. 5) She is great at taking pictures of details (close-ups of cake, flowers, and any other fun details). She captures beauty in the big and small things. 6) She does great on the follow-up process. She made CD's for us and she gave us viewings of the pictures at her house. VERY PERSONABLE! 7) She brings Edward (her husband with her everywhere). With two people, you can get a wider range of shots! I would HIGHLY recommend Elisa. She is easy to work with, she is very enthusiastic, and she gets back her pictures quickly (as in, three days after our honeymoon). She is great! You will be very happy with her! Jennifer and Clark

  Elisa B. shot both my daughter's bridal portraits and her wedding, and we could not have asked for any better work. The portraits were absolutely beautiful, and she truly captured my daughter's sweetness and grace. The wedding and reception pictures were perfect, exactly what we had asked for. Elisa and her husband were "everywhere" and got many great shots, but they were never really obvious as they worked, blending in with the group. Elisa listens to one's requests, and I'll have to say that, besides having superb talent, this girl's got SOUL!

  Elisa B did the photography for my wedding in October. She arrived at the site on time, she was very friendly, and took over 400 photos of the preparation of the wedding, ceremony, and reception, which were absolutely amazing. I've already referred her to 2 other brides getting married next year! She offered her services at an affordable price and is DEFINITELY the best value as a photographer in the area!

  My husband and I had all of our engagement portraits, bridal portraits and wedding photos taken by Elisa and her husband. They are really really great. Very considerate and friendly. They made it such a wonderful and relaxed experience. We didn't need to worry at all. All the photos are pretty, and exactly how we wanted. I highly recommend her for any event:-)

  Elisa was wonderful! She met with us twice before the wedding to make sure that she knew everything we wanted from our photographer. She was very professional and remained unobtrusive throughout the ceremony and the reception. She captured all of the special moments and many, many more. She provided us just the right amount of direction during our bridal party photo shoot. Elisa is a joy to work with and, most importantly, the pictures she took are BEAUTIFUL! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding!

  Elisa (and her husband) did a great job with our wedding reception photos (we married overseas). While taking photos, she and her husband were very unobtrusive- hardly knew they were there! We were very happy with the results and she was very reasonably priced. It was nice to have the online gallery that we could have our friends and family look at and I loved that I got a DVD of the photos so I could make my own photobook. We didn't have her take too many "posed photos" and loved all the candid ones she did get. I think some of her very best photos were of the kids and the food! Elisa was very nice and easy to work with and we would definitely recommend!

She did not miss a single photo opportunity! After the ceremony, we had a smooth transition into the wedding party photos and bride and groom photos, with time to spare so we could enjoy our cocktail hour too! During dinner and dancing, she highlighted the best moments throughout the night. We would highly recommend Elisa B. Photography to anyone in need of a photographer for a wedding, special event or portraits.

  I'm very pleased with my photos taken by Elisa. She is talented and easy to work with. She does a great job, and I'm sure anyone would be more than happy with her services. Also, the photographer she works with (Celeste) is wonderful. These two women are highly talented and can be trusted to capture anyone's special moments above and beyond expectation!

  Elisa and her husband did an AMAZING job recording our wedding day. She has a knack for capturing the essence of an event with careful and beautiful photography. Watching the slide show of the wedding pictures made us feel as though we were re-living the experience! We highly recommend her.

  We were SO happy with the quality of work once we got our pictures. It's such a great plus that they are one of the few photographers out there who still take photos in actual film, and some of my favorite pictures of the day were film shots!

  We were SO happy with the quality of work once we got our pictures. It's such a great plus that they are one of the few photographers out there who still take photos in actual film, and some of my favorite pictures of the day were film shots!
  We were so happy to have been able to work with both Edward and Elisa, they are HIGHLY recommended!

  I did not accurately reflect the date of our wedding. I want to give a heads up because there are a lot of good photographers out there.
  I took great care, and I mean, tons of time researching photographers. It was the single most important aspect and the second most expensive thing we had (venue was the most).
  I asked a number of times for very specific types of pictures that were important to me. I was thoughtful and precise about everything, as far as when, what, how. I knew what feeling I wanted to convey through our portraits, as I am an artistic person. I asked through emails and through the Q&A form that I took at least twice (might have been 3 times) because I was totally OCD about how I wanted things to go down.
  Nothing - and I mean nothing - that I asked for was granted the day of our wedding.
  Elisa and her husband are both very nice people, and the pictures on their blog are breathtaking. But we did not end up with pictures like those. Our wedding party and portraits were average at best. They were off-centered, with everyone looking everywhere, and there weren't any touch ups. I had to specifically request that they be corrected for purchased prints (which I'm still not sure if I want to spend even more money on, given the quality of our experience).
  We spent $4000 just for them to come out to the wedding. Not including prints - a complete cd is $2000 more. For that kind of cost, it should be outstanding. You never get a do-over for this day.
  I can't even believe I'm posting this review. I was such a huge fan of theirs before our wedding, I was telling everyone that our photographer was so incredibly talented. I was very surprised and disappointed with what happened. It just goes to show that it takes more than talent to get it right - it takes attention and care for each and every client. I guess we just weren't the client that day.
