We cannot recommend Duet enough! From the very beginning, they were incredibly easy to work with, communicative, organized, and responsive throughout the entire planning process. On our wedding day, they made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which allowed us to relax and truly enjoy every moment.
What impressed us most was their attention to detail. The detail shots they captured were absolutely stunning and beautifully documented the romantic feel of our Valentine’s Day celebration, along with so many special elements of our day that we will cherish forever. Every photo feels thoughtful and genuine.
We also used Duet for our photo booth at the venue, and it was a huge hit with our guests! The setup was seamless, the experience was fun and easy, and the photos gave everyone another wonderful way to remember the day.
If you’re looking for photographers who are professional, talented, and a joy to work with, Duet is an amazing choice. We are so grateful for the beautiful memories they captured for us and will treasure these photos for years to come. -

We first encountered DUET at our close friends’ wedding, observing how professional and discrete they were and how nice their work was. Naturally, we remembered them when we got engaged and quickly booked them for our engagement shoot and wedding. It was one of the best decisions we made. From our first meeting with Hanel to the conclusion of our big day, everything went so smoothly. Hanel was very personable, patient in answering our questions and always prompt with communication during the planning process. We loved working with Mike, who is not only talented but also made us both feel comfortable and natural when posing during our engagement and wedding shoots.
On our wedding day, DUET was a dream team. When our morning schedule ran behind by almost an hour, they were calm, positive and reassuring while handling pressure. Miraculously they even got us back on schedule without compromising any shots we requested. They were very kind to all our guests and interacted respectfully with all. The quality and prompt delivery of our photos and films were exceptional and did not disappoint at all - every moment was meaningful and captured so effortlessly with timeless tones and refreshing creativity. Watching the films allowed us to relive our big day all over again and we will continue to do so for many years to come. The best!
Duet was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Hanel, our lead photographer, was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. His attention to detail is unmatched, and his calm, positive energy was such a gift on a day that can feel overwhelming at times.
Neither my husband nor I had ever done a professional photoshoot before, but Hanel made us feel completely comfortable. He guided us through every pose, making everything feel natural and effortless, and the photos came out even more beautiful than I could have imagined. He has an incredible eye for capturing genuine moments while making everyone feel at ease.
Beyond the wedding day itself, Hanel was a dream to work with throughout the entire process. Communication was always quick, professional, and friendly. He was incredibly accommodating and made planning so easy. My husband and I had so much fun working with him on our wedding that we were saying we wish we could book another photoshoot just because of the experience, and that’s coming from people who normally don’t love being in front of a camera!

We booked both photography and videography after reading so many great reviews, and I'm so glad we did. Their pricing was also incredibly reasonable compared to many other Long Island vendors we looked at, which made the decision even easier.
We worked with Hanel for videography, Mike as our lead photographer, and Liza as our second photographer. Throughout the planning process, Hanel was fantastic. He was always responsive, answered every question quickly, and made everything feel easy and stress-free.
On the wedding day, the entire team arrived on time, looked professional, and immediately put us at ease. We had a very large, loud, and chaotic bridal party, and they handled everything with such professionalism and patience. They somehow managed to keep everyone organized while still making the experience fun.
As a pretty antsy bride who always wanted to keep things moving, I appreciated how efficient and directive they were. They knew exactly what shots to get, kept us on schedule, and never made us feel rushed. Every photo opportunity was handled smoothly, and they captured all of the important moments without taking us away from enjoying our wedding day.
Mike, Liza, and Hanel were truly a pleasure to work with. They were patient, organized, talented, and made what could have been a stressful part of the day feel effortless. Looking back, I honestly wouldn't change a thing. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose this team over and over again without hesitation!
If you're looking for a photography and videography team that is professional, responsive, efficient, and genuinely great to work with, I can't recommend them enough! They played a huge role in making our wedding day run smoothly, and we're so grateful we trusted them with such a huge element of our wedding. 5 stars all around!!! -

We booked Duet Studios for our wedding after seeing all the positive reviews and beautiful photos. After working with the team, we knew we had made the right decision! Hanel communicated with us the entire process and was extremely organized. He was very attentive, always professional and we were confident we picked the right team! We first met Mike during our engagement shoot. My husband and I (like others) are very awkward in front of the camera and wanted a photographer who made us feel comfortable and look natural. Mike was absolutely perfect! He had us laughing the whole time and was great to work with! For our wedding, we had the Duet team- Hanel, Mike & Michelle, who were all absolutely perfect! They were respectful to us and our guests and made everyone feel so comfortable! They kept us on schedule and were very professional. The pictures we received so far from our wedding are beautiful. We were first interested in meeting with Duet because their work seemed so classic - no extra filters, no overdone edits, etc., just quality photography. Once we actually met with them in person, we were sold instantly. While their work speaks for itself, their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail really takes them to the next level.
As a true Type A person, I had my own timeline, schedule, and notes; and the team was so wonderful in working with me to make sure they were aligned and talk through any sort of confusion for a super smooth wedding day.
The day of the wedding, they were absolutely amazing - start to finish. From moving the dining room table at my house for the perfect shot, to getting every single photo on my shot list, and making my husband and I feel comfortable. Truly, they were just so refreshing to work with.
Our photos and videos came out so beautiful and captured our personalities, our relationship, and our day absolutely perfectly. And since their work is truly so classic, I know we will look back on everything with the same fondness and love for all the years to come. -

Run don't walk to Duet for your photography and videography needs. Hanel and his team are consummate professionals. We were married at the Watermill in Smithtown and our church ceremony was in Westbury NY. His team captured our special moments in ways we didn't think were imaginable. Our hearts melted when we received our pictures and wedding video. I would recommend them to all my family and friends and to whoever comes across this review. Prices are great and communication from first inquiry to follow ups are fast and easy. This company is the standard. If we could do it all over again we would just to use Duet again. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Duet. We booked them for both photography and videography for our wedding at The Mansion at Timber Point, as well as for our engagement photos in Central Park. Hanel and his entire team were absolutely incredible. Mike was our lead photographer for both the engagement session and wedding day, and Hanel was our lead videographer.
This was the vendor I spent the most time researching, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Not only do I love their style and quality of work, but I also found their pricing to be very reasonable for the level of talent and professionalism they provide.

Duet, without question, was our favorite vendor to work with. From a simple money drop off appointment to the all awaited wedding day, the care and attention from the team was unmatched.
We first had our engagement shoot with Mike and knew after that moment we wanted to work him for our wedding day. We absolutely loved the photos from that session and knew our wedding day photos would be nothing short of beautiful. His tenure and experience truly shows, a calm and confident photographer- a demeanor needed when having your photo taken is not second nature! He handled our extensive family portrait shot list with grace, photos we prioritized and are forever grateful to have them. There is not a day that goes by that we don’t look back at photos from our wedding and for him, we are thankful.
Hanel, the studio manager, was with us every step of the way. Every meeting, form, money drop off appointment and email was met with care and patience. He made all the difference in making Duet a vendor that was a true pleasure to work with.
We went with video and can’t watch it back without crying. Thank you to our videographer Mike and our second photographer, Rachel, for being so kind and capturing the candid moments. When I look back on my wedding day, having them around brought me peace in knowing I was working with a best in class photography/videography group. Could not recommend them enough! We had Duet Photography & Video do the photography for our wedding and were so beyond thrilled with the entire process from start to finish! We did a small intimate wedding with about 26 guests. We were having a hard time finding a studio that would want to shoot for such a small event when I happened upon Duet’s studio from their amazing reviews. Hanel was such a pleasure to speak with- we had a couple of meetings before the big day. Even though we were a smaller event, we truly felt taken care of by Hanel and that we were in good hands. He took the time to schedule a few conference calls to make sure all of my questions were answered, and always promptly answered any questions I had by email.
Our photographer for the day, Kevin, was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! From the moment he rang my parents doorbell at 12:30, until he sadly departed us at 5:30, we were all so impressed by Kevin’s attention to detail, making sure he got all of the shots we wanted, all while keeping us on schedule for the next part of the day. The pictures came out even more beautiful than I could ever hope for!

Picking Duet Photo & Video for our wedding this past October was one of THE best decisions we made when planning our wedding!! From the initial meeting with Hanel, my husband and I immediately felt comfortable and excited to share our vision for our wedding. Throughout the entire year of planning, Hanel and his team were so receptive and helpful in accommodating anything we needed to make sure our vision came to life! After our engagement session with Mike, we knew we were in the best of hands for our wedding.
On our wedding day, there was a bad storm but Mike, Michael and Michelle did not let that get in the way of capturing our celebration. They were on their A game and present at every single moment and found creative ways to get beautiful shots. Throughout the wedding, they came up to us to make sure that we were getting the photos that we discussed were must haves. They know how caught up in the excitement a bride and groom can get, so it was nice to know they were on top of the pictures we wanted.
After getting our full gallery back, we were reminded again how happy we are that we chose Duet. They managed to stay invisible while still capturing every single magical moment. These photos are vibrant and full of life and love. We gave them liberty to be creative with our wedding video and it came out even more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! working with duet was one of the best decisions we made!! you can tell they truly cared about making our vision come to life. we had so many calls ahead of time, and we were confident going into the wedding day that we’d have all the photos we wanted. their style of photography is gorgeous and exactly what i was going for. they made sure to capture all of the moments of love and all of the moments we missed in the chaos. our photos are GORGEOUS (and not just because i’m biased) and i truly feel like the entire day was captured perfectly. i’d choose them again and again!!!!!! and our video… INSANE. Duet was the first vendor we booked after our venue for our 8/2/25 wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process! After looking at their website and Instagram we instantly fell in love with their style. Duet’s aesthetic was 100% what we were looking for but couldn’t find with any other photographer we researched. Hanel was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process and was very easy to work with. We also took engagement photos with them in August 2024 which gave us a first opportunity to work with Mike, who was also the lead photographer on our wedding day. We are absolutely in love with our engagement shoot and all of our wedding photos and videos. The quality and quantity of everything we received absolutely blew us away - and we got all of them faster than we thought we would. You spend a lot of time with your photographers/videographers on your wedding day, and Mike and the rest of the team were incredibly professional, polite, and a pleasure to be around during a very long day. 11/10. Work with Duet.
My wife and I got married in October 2025. We worked with Mike (lead photo), Paul (backup), and Hanel (point person / coordination). We also did an engagement shoot with Mike in NYC's Central Park in May '25. We also opted to have Duet run a photo booth at our wedding (recommend!).
We were so lucky to work with Duet for a number of reasons:
Communication - from the get-go, it was incredibly easy to work with Duet. Hanel is so on top of things and we were never waiting for an answer, in fact he was most often proactively reminding us of things and helping us think through things like day-of timing. If you haven't yet planned your wedding, responsiveness and trustworthiness in a vendor are huge pros.
The photography itself - we consistently love the shots Duet has taken of us and our loved ones. I don't know much about photography, but we love the style, framing, and whatever finishing touches they use. Photos feel highly professional without crossing over into over-touched or too artsy. My wife and I were worried about where we would take photos on the day-of, to the point we were touring around near the venue and greater Brooklyn to find scenic spots. In the end, it rained for much of our wedding day, and we didn't have time to detour anyway - no problem, of course, because Mike and Paul made very ordinary backgrounds look wonderful with their photo magic, and were creative with shooting indoors and under umbrellas to make sure we still got a great first look and pre-wedding shots.
Comfortability - we were really comfortable working with Mike. As mentioned, we did a post-engagement shoot in the park, more so to gain familiarity with Mike than for the pictures themselves (though they turned out great!). My wife and I are low key and I know I commonly feel uncomfortable having my photo taken. This was not an issue at all with Duet. Mike knew how to match our vibe and was never pushy - this was huge.
Conservative approach - I don't fully understand the mechanics behind it, but my understanding is that Duet backs up every photo they take as it's taken so that there is an extra copy in case of emergency. They also do a lot of self-lighting for shots, which meant that while our venue of course mattered, and looked great anyway, they could have really made anything look nice with their lighting work.
Pricing / value - while not the most important consideration, we felt Duet delivered a ton of value at a very reasonable price. Getting married in NYC is never going to be cheap, but we feel like we got the absolute best value for our money. -

If you are looking for an amazing videography experience for your wedding, look no further than Duet! We reached out to Hanel and his team several months before getting married and he was incredibly kind and responsive. Pricing was fair and transparent, and we appreciated meeting with Hanel to learn more about their approach to videography and set expectations. On the day of the wedding, we could tell that our videographer Adam was extremely detail-oriented, in addition to being super friendly and professional. He allowed us to fully enjoy our day, not pulling us away for too many “manufactured” moments and instead perfectly capturing authenticity. We are absolutely delighted with the films we received back, especially of the cocktail hour which includes stunning shots of the venue and many, many guest interviews. We are so impressed with how much Adam was able to capture in a short amount of time! We truly appreciate how hard he worked and it has paid off as we have already enjoyed watching the films many times with family and friends who have nothing but positive things to say. I cannot say enough good things about Duet! I was given this recommendation from a family member, and I was so glad I took it! Everything from consultation, booking and making payments was so seamless. Hanel and Mike are so great to work with! Not only did we get to do our photos and video with them for the wedding we were able to do an engagement photo shoot, and it was so fun! The pictures for the engagement shoot as well as our wedding are absolutely stunning! On the day of our wedding the entire team from Duet were so amazing and professional. They absolutely nailed the entire shot list and captured all the moments that meant the most to us. My advice also is to go with their photo booth! The photo quality was amazing and out guests loved it! -

I can not stress enough how much I LOVED working with Duet. My husband and I aren't really pose for photos type of people but I still knew this would be the only thing I had from the day that would last a lifetime. They are so professional and truly captured the BEST candid photos. Of course we had a few posed photos but most of the day was them working around us which was amazing! One of my biggest pet peeves is a photographer stopping people from dancing to catch a group photo. I personally would rather take a photo of the group dancing. That's just my preference. Duet as a whole was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. They were all extremely professional, kind, and helpful every step of the way. On the day of our wedding, they were so easy to work with and knew all of the best spots for pictures at our venue. They captured all of the moments we wanted and more. We got preview pictures while we were still on our honeymoon which were all absolutely perfect, and we were blown away by the full gallery. The pictures were way better than I could have ever hoped for. We also got a highlight video as well as reception and ceremony videos which were so perfectly done. We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with the Duet team! From the very beginning, they were incredibly responsive, answering all our questions and putting us at ease. My husband and I initially felt a little awkward in front of the camera, but Mike and his team gave us the perfect amount of direction to help us relax and enjoy the moment.
They followed our photo list perfectly, while also pivoting seamlessly whenever we wanted an extra shot or when last-minute changes came up, like moving first look photos from the park to the hotel courtyard when it rained (which still turned out stunning, you would have never known!). My bridal party and family absolutely loved working with them, and once the party started, they blended into the background, capturing the most beautiful candid moments without us even realizing they were there.

The process of finding a wedding photographer and videographer, as any Bride knows, can be extremely stressful. We took quite a few meetings before we sat down with Hanel for our first video call. From the start, I stressed to him that as an interracial couple, it was extremely important to us that every single person, regardless of their skin color, be captured well in the photos and videos with lighting that worked for them. Hanel assured us that the team would be able to accomplish this and even sent us a gallery for reference, which ultimately helped us make our decision. When we received our photos, we were thrilled to see this goal was met and exceeded. Every photo, every person, every moment was beautifully and thoughtfully captured. We had the opportunity to do an engagement shoot with Mike before our wedding which was wonderful. We both felt a little uncomfortable in front of the camera, but Mike knew exactly what to say to capture those intimate moments. He made the experience feel natural when it was anything but! On our wedding day, we had the same fantastic experience. Mike and his team knew exactly what to do and they helped guide the way. They showed up and got right to work on detail shots and set up the room to look amazing for our getting ready shots. The photography assistant did the same for the men where they were getting ready. As a wedding singer myself, I have seen far too many photographers insert themselves into intimate ceremony moments. Mike and his team were extremely respectful at the Church, yet still able to capture the important moments! We got married on an extremely cold November day, right after daylight savings time so we didn’t have a ton of time between the ceremony and reception to capture daylight photos since we decided not to do a first look. Once again, Mike and the team worked efficiently to get all the appropriate photos and even got some stunning Fall foliage pictures. They were very good at scoping out the locations for beautiful backdrops which we see in all of our wedding gallery photos. They got amazing outside evening photos at Westbury Manor as well, even though it was so dark by the time we got there. When I was stressed towards the end of the night that we might not capture every planned moment (my husband and I sang an opera duet at the wedding reception on top of everything else!) they worked with the DJ to make sure everything flowed and all moments were captured and we did not feel rushed. Overall, the team was wonderful. They knew exactly what to do to make sure every moment was captured beautifully and everyone looked amazing! I cannot recommend Duet Photo and Video enough. We will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives! -

It was a joy to work with Hanel and the rest of the Duet Team. They were very easy to schedule an initial consultation with, listened intently to our original ideas, and were very transparent with their pricing. Once we booked them, they did a great job of making sure that we were organized for our entire photo itinerary for the day. They were very accommodating to our schedule/preferences, and were able to adapt their plan pretty quickly as changes in our plans arose. The day of the wedding, we had Mike and Min as our photographers. Both of them were so friendly and easy to work with. They made sure they got plenty of photos while also ensuring we had fun throughout the day. They also both got plenty of spontaneous action shots of various parts of the day, which made for very fun photos in our final album. Both Mike and Min stayed with us the entire day and made sure that their photos included every guest at our wedding at least once. Following the wedding, our photo preview came about a month after the ceremony, and our full suite of photos came about two months after the ceremony. The photos were AMAZING!!! They did such a good job with the lighting, color and other effects; our photos were incredibly vibrant despite it being a pretty cloudy day. We were so happy with how the photos came out. We would recommend Duet to anyone looking for a hassle free experience and a memorable set of photos to keep with them forever. -

From the moment we met and signed with Duet we were so happy!! Hanel was our main point of contact and kept us well in the loop up until the very last minute before the wedding. I can’t say enough good things about this company, they were one of the most affordable we found and did an absolutely incredible job for our October wedding. We loved them so much, my sister ended up using them for her August wedding and they did an equally incredible job!
I loved their bright, slightly editorial style. One of my vendors (who sees photos all the time) even said my album was one of her favorites! The team was sooo awesome and one of the best parts of the day! Mike was our lead photographer and was so knowledgeable while Adam was our awesome videographer. Yosaidy was our 2nd shooter and she was with my husband getting ready; he said she made the process so smooth and fun (which means a lot from a guy who hates pictures). She also fixed my train and veil in every photo, making sure it looked perfect which I really appreciated. The team made the day seamless and really helped to capture the beauty of our venue. We got married 6/15/24 and decided to use Duet for both photography and videography...we just got our pictures and videos and we are completely blown away! The light and airy editing style was exactly what we were looking for, and the close attention to detail shown by the photographers and videographers on the day of our Wedding made each photo look absolutely perfect! We had Mike and Mike for our lead photographer and videographer along with two other wonderful ladies for our second photographer and videographer (I wish I remembered their names!) Mike was constantly checking my "must have" shot list throughout the day to make sure we got all the photos we wanted along with adjusting our poses and lighting so they were just right. The whole team handled photos on the busy (and hot!) Long Beach Boardwalk like a pro. Everyone on the team was punctual, professional, and delightful to work with.
Hanel in the studio also deserves a shoutout, there was never a time when I had to wait more than an hour for an email response from him and he was delightful in the few times we met with him to go over the wedding timeline or to make payments. I believe he is also the one that edited our photos and videos, and they came out stunning!

We highly recommend Duet Photography as your wedding photographers and videographers! They really took the time to capture all of the important moments, while also allowing us to enjoy those moments. They were highly professional and punctual with timing. We met with them a few times to really go over the workflow for the day of, as well as discussing the breakdown of the day itself. The photos were beautiful and we couldn’t be happier with them! -

Not enough words can describe Duet Photography & Video and how professional, amazing, cost effective, patient, and how detail oriented they are. Not only were they easy to work with but they showed us other wedding videos and photography to help us decide if they were the right fit for us. We fell in love with there work and how creative and beautiful it was. 1 thing I must highlight is how Hanel and his team were incredibly patient and understanding with my mom's needs. My mom made it to my wedding - using any energy she had left and she looked amazing. Unfortunately mom passed 2 months after my husband and I got married, she gained her wings. All I have to say is that Hanel and his team and we cannot express enough how accommodating they were and how well they worked together to make the process go smooth without any hiccups. They were precise, thorough, and went above and beyond to make our day extra special. I would recommend Duet Photography & Video every single time. -

I could not have imagined our wedding without Duet. Not only was the quality of their work was truly remarkable, but they were the most professional vendor you will come across. They were personable, realistic, and truly accommodating and understanding of the details we laid out for them. Hanel, the studio manager, really helped structure our day's timeline and he was integral for helping everything run smoothly. Mike, our main photographer, was so masterful with his lighting and he really went above and beyond for our engagement photoshoot and wedding day as well! The staff had the mindset of prioritizing our needs as the couple first and foremost, which I really appreciated when there are a lot of differing opinions going on leading up to the day. There were so many of our loved ones who saw the photos that commented unprompted to us that our photographers were stellar and my husband and I could not agree more. -

THE ABSOLUTE BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY!!! They were an absolute dream team the day of our wedding capturing the best day of our lives in a perfect manner! The photos and videos came out perfectly, they were incredible with our two large dogs on site for family pictures, they were organized and professional, they helped us pose and gave us ideas where we wanted and also allowed us to take the lead in terms of 'must' pictures we wanted, and all in all they were the perfect team to be around that day and the entire wedding planning process. We HIGHLY recommend Duet for your wedding day!!! -

During my wedding planning process, I came to learn that good communication and professionalism are the biggest traits I needed from vendors.
Long-story short, I initially booked a different vendor for my photography and video, but the lack of professionalism and any communication with that company made me restless and uneasy. Simply put, I was ghosted for weeks.
So a few months prior to my wedding, I frantically started looking for another photographer (with permission from the first), and that’s when I came across Duet. Duet (Hanel and Mike) truly saved our wedding.
It is uncommon to hire photographers from different companies for a wedding, but Hanel, the studio manager, listened to our concerns with openness. He was professional, detailed and clear with his communication- everything I realized I needed. He is down-to-earth, and I trusted him completely!
While Hanel was booked on our wedding day, Mike was exceptional! His calm presence during the day was enough for me to know that everything was going to be okay. He is detailed and efficient - and you can easily tell that he’s skilled. While we haven’t received our photos back yet (it’s only been two days since our wedding LOL), I know that we will love them.

I cant even begin to tell you how incredible Duet photo & video was for our December 2023 wedding. We are absolutely obsessed with our wedding photos and videos. Not only did they give us everything we ever dreamed of for our
photos and videos but they were so amazing to work with. There was a team of 3, 2 photographers and 1 videographers and we loved them all. They really are such a big part of your day and it was awesome having them with us, they had great energy and i had a feeling our content was going to be magical with how detail oriented they all were. We even got our photos/ videos back before the estimated time frame! We couldn’t recommend them enough, do yourself a favor and book with them!!! -
