Dan McCarthy is the best DJ around!

Dan has done so many family weddings so we knew he was the right decision for us, but he truly made our wedding absolutely perfect! Our dance floor was packed the whole night and everyone said they had the time of their lives. From the minute you meet Dan he is extremely professional, organized and knowledgeable. We were never worried that all of the sound equipment and music was going to be done exactly how we wanted. I would recommend him to anyone! Cannot thank him enough for helping to contribute to the best night of our lives.

Everything You Want In a Wedding DJ and More!!!

Our experience with Dan and DM Productions was nothing short of amazing! Dan met with us before our wedding for an initial walkthrough and we knew that he was the DJ for us! He isn't the type of DJ that just presses play on a playlist and let's it go, he reads the room, builds up the mood, and will keep people dancing for hours!

One of my groomsman came up to us and exclaimed "This DJ is killing me!" we asked "Why is that?" and his response was perfect, "He just keeps playing hit after hit! I can't find a down song to go get another drink!"

Highly, highly recommend Dan and DM Productions for whatever event you have in store!

Fantastic Wedding DJ

We hired Dan for our wedding last July and he was excellent from start to finish. He met with us several times, I was incredibly thorough in his preparations, and had terrific suggestions and advice for our music choices. Our guests were on the dance floor all night!

Best wedding DJ! Very detail oriented

We highly recommend DM productions! During our first meeting (when we were finding a DJ), Dan showed us a PowerPoint and played music for us. It was so clear just how prepared he was and this remained throughout the entire planning process. He came to our venue walk through to ensure he knew where to set up his equipment. He really thought through every detail so that our day ran smoothly, and was extremely professional and personable. He was also more than willing to play songs from our cultural backgrounds. On the day of, he managed the mic and our schedule and timing of events was perfect! The dance floor was packed all night!

Best wedding DJ ever!

We hired Boston DJ for our wedding after a good experience using them for my husband's retirement party. It was the best experience and made our wedding! Boston DJ was easy to work with, professional, and flexible - we created our own custom playlist and then the DJ took many guest requests on the evening. Our DJ, Gabe, was professional, attentive and exuded positive energy which really got people out on the dance floor. We received so many compliments on the DJ and found that it made a huge difference having such a competent master of ceremonies when you tend to be distracted at your own wedding. Highly recommend!

DJ Dan got the dance floor going at our wedding, which I was really grateful for! He was also super communicative with all the logistics leading up to the big day – capturing song requests, and all the little details for emceeing that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. He also provided a photo booth which our guests loved (including a guestbook with copies of each photo + handwritten notes which were a nice touch!)

Fantastic DJ!

DJ Dan was an absolutely incredible DJ! From our first meeting, I knew I had nothing to worry about when it came to the music part of my wedding. Specifically, some things I appreciated about my experience were:

1. Dan's quick response to any questions or concerns we had.
2. The detailed information collection form he provided to make sure he had all the details of our day set.
3. The online song request platform that allowed me to add and change songs about 100 times.
4. His professionalism on the day of the wedding. Again, I knew all day I had nothing to worry about.
5. Most importantly, he knows how to build and maintain an amazing dancefloor. Through a mix of pretty much all of my requests and other songs I never would have thought to include, the dance floor was packed for the entire 2 hours and 45 minutes we were out there.

Could not recommend higher!

Hawthorne Hotel Wedding: Spring of 2024

We had Gabe Moraga as our DJ from DM Productions and he was phenomenal! Firstly, we got the rundown of services and how the team approaches their work from Dan who owns the company. He was incredibly informative, kind, friendly, and most importantly had answers and solutions available for every possible question and every possible thing that could happen on a wedding day. He and his team are equipped to work with and deal with anything, and their professionalism is off the charts! Gabe had a few zoom meetings with my parents and us and made himself additionally available through phone calls and emails for any additional questions or requests we had. On the day of the wedding his setup was smooth, he was able to collaborate effortlessly with the wedding party and our musician for the ceremony, he played out every scenario we had planned and every song to its perfect timing, and was able to wrap up everything so well by the end of the evening. We also had a photo booth setup for the reception which was also a huge success and the person running the booth was so accommodating, communicative, and super funny. My husband and I could not recommend DM productions enough. They are pure gold and worth 5+ stars for every part of the trade!

Life of the Party

DJ Dan was absolutely amazing! Dan was so professional and organized with is communication prior to the wedding. He made sure to know what was important to us for our big day and went out of his way to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. We provided a lot of songs that we wanted played from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception and Dan was receptive to all. He then added more songs that complimented our song choices and made the atmosphere perfect. Despite the day being extremely humid and warm the dance floor was PACKED the whole time. Everyone was dancing and singing along the whole night. Dan brought such great energy and we would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a DJ!

Best DJ!!!

For our wedding in July, when our first DJ bailed on us with just a couple months left to spare, DJ Dan was ready and willing to take the place! And I’m so glad he did - he was SO friendly, accommodating, professional and amazing from the start. I loved that he uses a website where you can link your Spotify to upload playlists for cocktail hour/dinner etc, and add songs to a “play” and “do not play” list. That was a big one for me and my husband, there are a lot of songs that we did NOT want to hear at our wedding and Dan absolutely crushed it!! He had everyone up on the dance floor the entire night. He also had wireless mics for speeches and lapel mics for the vows which was perfect! He was also more affordable for services and uplighting than other DJs in the area! Would recommend 100%!

DJ Gabe was Excellent

DM Productions linked us up with DJ Gabe for our wedding and the process was straightforward, transparent, and, ultimately, exactly what we were looking for in a wedding DJ. We had Zoom planning calls with DJ Gabe to give an outline of our expected crowd type, limited amount of speaking roles required of him, and music requests. DJ Gabe was responsive to our feedback, asked pertinent questions, was a consummate professional, and was an excellent MC on our wedding day. We wanted limited talking over the mic, responsiveness to the energy of the crowd, and mostly dance music late into the night, and he delivered on all of that, and responded excellent to song requests.

Best DJ we could have asked for!!!

Dan was absolutely exceptional on our special day!! We are so grateful to him for his level of professionalism and extreme care he took into making our wedding so spectacular. His DJ portal made it super easy for us to lay out all the songs we wanted and organize them by when we wanted them to play throughout the night. It even allowed us to upload our premade Spotify playlists, which was amazing. We also had multiple Zoom calls with him prior to our wedding weekend, to which he was always prompt and organized, and ensured that we would be in good hands. He took the time to learn everyone’s names properly and make sure he pronounced them exactly how they should be. He played everything we wanted and then some hits we hadn’t thought of, which we appreciated! He was very kind, organized and had a warm personality that made working with him a breeze. We received an overwhelming amount of compliments from our guests how awesome the music and DJ was - which speaks for itself! I can’t recommend Dan and his team high enough and will absolutely be passing his name on to other couples/families moving forward!! Thank you Dan!

Dan is the best! My husband and I hired DM Productions for our May wedding in Salem, MA. Dan was so easy to work with from our initial meeting through the wedding day. He kept the dancefloor packed the whole night and was a great MC during the reception as well. Uplighting was absolutely gorgeous and added so much to the venue. Awesome Experience

Dan and DM Productions were an instrumental part in making our wedding day the best day of our lives. From the moment we first spoke to him we knew he was attuned to the type of music we wanted at the wedding; he was always available to answer any questions we have or to talk logistics, and when the big day came everything went perfectly. He got the dancefloor open early, and his song choices were top-notch with a perfect mix of genres that had all our guests dancing and telling us it was among the best weddings they've been to. Dan makes everything simple as a customer, with a one-stop shop website that is used to make payments, add the schedule of events, and make song requests (and do-not plays). Amazing DJ. Read the room and killed it!

Dan is an amazing DJ with a talent for reading the room and playing the songs they want to hear. We have an eclectic taste in music and he managed to work with our song list while also adding his own flavor during the wedding, every song of which was an absolute hitter with the crowd. He draws from all genres and knows how to mix them without missing a beat. I honestly think from the moment the dance floor opened it was packed all night.

In short: 10/10 would recommend. I don't think I'll have another wedding, but if I did, I'd hire Dan again! ;)

Dan was a fantastic choice for our wedding DJ! He was very responsive to all questions we had and helped make picking our music a breeze. We left the dance floor playlist up to him and he did a great job playing music that got everyone dancing and having fun. Awesome dj for our reception!

We first found Dan when we started our wedding planning in early 2019. He had solid credentials and was pleasant to meet with, and very accommodating. We had to delay our wedding twice, until 2022, but once we were able to have it, we ended up having an awesome time! Dan and his team were great, they were able to read the room, and play the types of songs we and our guests wanted to hear. We kept them on their toes by asking them to change the dance time for the father & daughter dance, and they had no trouble. We also got a photobooth, which we had no idea came staffed, and our family had a blast! We would highly recommend Dan and Boston DJ for your wedding reception!

Book with DM productions for an Amazing Wedding Day

Dan McCarthy and Steve Rossi were the DJs for my wedding and we cannot thank them enough. Everyone had a great time! We were lucky to have DJ Dan take care of everything music-related at our wedding. Dan was extremely professional, responsive, and made us feel totally comfortable knowing we were in great hands. Dan is the man! DM Productions helped to give my husband and I an absolutely wonderful experience. He kept the process as easy, and stress-free as possible and was always willing to carve out time to review those sentimental details that made all the difference. Absolutely amazing!

DM productions provided my husband and I with an unforgettable wedding experience. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great the music was and how much fun they had dancing all night!

Committed and organized, music was off the chain

This dude is dedicated!! A hurricane threatened our wedding and Dan was prepared to go on with the show! I thought my friends and family weren't a dancing crowd and boy was I wrong. Dan got everyone on the dance floor having a great time. He even helped coordinate the wedding! After our final zoom meeting before the wedding, I stopped worrying and felt at ease with Dan's plan. He even set up karaoke for us so I could sing my husband a song. His uplighting was great, his photo booth was awesome, his attitude was awesome.... I bought the full package and it was worth every penny. People are still raving about how awesome our wedding was. I can't thank Dan enough.
The ceremony was beautiful, he had the music on perfect volumes, pronounced everyone's names correctly.. I could go on and on.. Hire him, you won't regret it! Highly recommend!

Dan's experience and professionalism tops any other DJs around. He knows all the right songs and he plays them at the perfect time to either get the party started or to get everyone to relax and enjoy their meal or surrounding company. After our first meeting with Dan, we felt more than confident to leave it all in his hands. The music is such a major part of your wedding and can be stressful, but with Dan, we were able to sit back, relax, and trust his experience. We had everyone up and dancing! It was such a special day and Dan helped make it even more special.

Simply amazing. They brought the party, the fun and the peace of mind!

From the very beginning, I was so impressed with how Dan and Paul handled my wedding. We changed the venue halfway through the planning and they didn’t miss a beat. No extra charges or any pushback whatsoever even though our venue was further away than initially planned. Dan and Paul responded immediately to any question I had on my side as I was working through my planning. They always made me feel like I was their only bride. I was pretty specific with my music details and Paul delivered on every single one of them. Amazing Wedding DJ

Our DJ from DM productions, Gabe, was amazing! Picking them was a huge decision because the DJ can make or break a wedding. We originally picked DM productions based off of their great reviews and their website, which described some fun cocktail hour and dinner time song themes. The website also explained their process of how the DJs are able to keep guests on the dance floor throughout the night. They totally delivered on this, our dance floor was packed from the moment it opened. When we had our pre-wedding meeting with Gabe he was super friendly and easy to work with. He quickly picked up on the genre of music and the vibes we were looking for.
The wedding day was absolutely perfect! Gabe was very professional. He made all of the announcements that we needed but didn’t over-do it with the microphone (which I have seen some DJs do at weddings). The music during dinner was classy and fun and our guests were ready to dance as soon as the floor opened. There was never a dull moment and there was a perfect mix of old and new songs. Our last dance was perfect and no one wanted the night to end.
We had so many guests tell us they had never danced so much at a wedding.
We may be biased because it was our wedding, but it was the most fun we have ever had at a wedding and the most fun we have ever had dancing! Many of our guests agree that Gabe from DM productions was an amazing DJ and it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. We are so glad we had Gabe from DM productions at our wedding!

Best wedding DJ in the Boston area!!!

DM Productions was the best, Danny was so easy to work with he was easily able to edit down our wedding song to the perfect length and we didn't miss a beat! DM Productions kept the dance floor packed the whole night, everyone had the best night!

A Class Act

Dan was amazing! We found him on WeddingWire and went to meet him in person (pre-COVID). He sold us on his history working as a DJ and all of his experiences. We booked him for our wedding after just the initial meeting. Of course the pandemic happened and we had to postpone. Dan was very responsive and accommodating. We were able to retain his services for our new date. Still with the uncertainty we decided to cancel our 2021 wedding and hope for a better future. I reached out to Dan and he was so supportive and even refunded us everything we had paid, including the deposit. He was the ONLY vendor to refund us everything. He’s amazing and we hope to work with him in the future.

A Crowd Pleaser!

Paul is now my go-to DJ! I have hired Paul for two separate events. One for a high end work function and for our wedding. He was so easy to work with and came fully prepared. He quite literally brought the party! He had great energy through both events and really got the crowds pumped up! After both events everyone kept asking who the DJ was, I feel like that is the ultimate compliment! We didn't have to do anything to prepare, we just told him the vibe we were going for and he nailed it! I highly recommend DJ Paul!

Unforgettable and Amazing!

I hired DJ Paul Vincent for my wedding back in July of 2019. DJ Paul was simply a beast in terms of professionalism, punctuality, and most of all ..... he brought the house down! Everyone had so much fun and he was on cue from the beginning to the end. His transitions from song to song were on point! His playlist was great the whole night and everyone was complimenting on how awesome he was during and after the wedding. He DJs venues and clubs in Boston as well so he’s extremely experienced and talented. If you have a chance to book him, you should absolutely do it early before someone picks him up for their event. Not all DJs are made the same and you only have one night to make a great party happen. Hire this DJ if you get the chance!

Entertaining and Effortless

For our wedding we definitely wanted our guests to have fun and celebrate our day with us. We were looking for a party atmosphere and DJ Paul Vincent definitely delivered it. Dan referred us to DJ Paul Vincent, so we scheduled a call with him to go through the logistics of what we were envisioning. He assured us what we wanted was feasible and that he had plenty of experience. On the day of our wedding, he arrived early to set up and made sure the set up was done right, speakers were working and to run through the schedule/ line up. During our reception, he did a wonderful job in announcing our bridal party - nice voice! He was very upbeat, and had the guests on their feet. Throughout the night, he kept the party going with the music and was open to any requests our guests wanted. We loved every single song he played, and everyone was on the dance floor!! He was there till the very end until the lights turned on, and cleaned up. We will definitely recommend him to our friends and family who is looking for a DJ that will make your wedding memorable.

Best Night Ever

DJ Dan was phenomenal! He truly made our wedding fun and effortless. Everyone still talks about the music and how much fun they had.
We decided to cancel our large 200+ person wedding and have a 50 person backyard intimate wedding. No matter the scene, DJ Dan was able to fully embrace his audience to provide a fun energy. He is a gem in his profession- I would highly recommend and will personally use his services again.

Truly made the party!

Dj dan mcarthy is awesome!

I hired DM Productions for my wedding and they were amazing. I’m a firm believer that the DJ sets the tone for the reception and honestly.... people are still talking about how awesome it was. Dan was recommended to us by my husband’s coworker and we are so happy that we chose him as our DJ for our wedding! Dan was responsive and extremely professional throughout the entire process. His website was very easy to use and helped us stay organized. We met prior to booking and once two weeks before the wedding. Tremendous DJ

Dan was extremely easy to work with and did an amazing job! He has DJ’d at many of my cousin’s weddings and has never disappointed!! We knew he would do a great job at our own wedding and he sure did! We met with him a few times before our wedding to make sure everything went perfectly! Very professional, easy to work with

We found Dan to be very easy to work with. He wasn't over the top the way that some DJs can be, he never "stole the show". We gave him a lot of freedom to choose music instead of making a long list of songs, and he did a great job at both using what we did give him as a starting point, and at reading the crowd to see what music was working.

Highlight of our wedding!

First off.....Dan is the easiest person to work with. Between meetings, to email correspondence, to setup on the wedding day, Dan made everything so simple and stress free that I was so glad we chose him to be our DJ. He listened to our requests and also played THE BEST music during our entire wedding. His ability to mix in old and new was impeccable and I'm still getting compliments from people today. He was able to get everyone out on the dancefloor right away and kept us dancing all night long. His work speaks for itself and you can tell just how passionate he is about his business and the whole wedding experience. Without Dan, our wedding would not have been as memorable as it was! Gabe is the MAN!!!!

Where do I begin?!?!! From the first inquiry to the last song of our wedding, I could never imagine recommending another company to use for any occasion. Gabe was our DJ, and was truly a dream. From working with us on our playlist, nailing down our intros, and his interaction with our family and friends throughout the night, we really couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. Gabe was so thoughtful and TREMENDOUSLY fun throughout the entire process....and as any bride to be knows, it is a PROCESS! Gabe will blow your expectations away!

Gabe was honestly the Highlight of my wedding (sorry babe)! On the most important day of my life, he literally was the master of the event. He went above and beyond and made sure this day was more than we could have ever hoped for. Gabe has a natural talent for engaging all guests in a fun way that involved an eclectic crowd. His attention to detail is impeccable, and his passion shines through his work. Gabe was so patient, flexible and accommodating; he truly took the time to get to know what our likes/dislikes were & the vibe we wanted at our wedding (nailed it!). “Getting the party started” is one of his specialties. His ability to read the crowd, honor requests all while keeping the reception going is magical. The dance floor was packed all night long. Best dance floor you'll ever see

We cannot stop talking about how thankful we are that we had Dan as our DJ! Our dance floor was packed before it even technically opened, and it was packed until the last song. We have had multiple people tell us that it was the best dance floor they have ever seen. Dan took the time to meet with us and figure out our vibe from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing, and he exceeded our expectations the entire night. We had trouble picking an entrance song that we were excited about, and Dan helped us during one of our meetings, and we were all pumped about it including Dan! His excitement for our wedding really pumped us up, and we could not have asked for better results. It was truly the best night ever, and I would recommend Dan to anyone who is looking for just incredible of a night as we had. We are so happy we had Dan as our DJ!!!

August 25 Cape Cod wedding

Dan was so amazing from start to finish. It was so great to be able to choose our own special songs for each portion of the wedding, but he also had amazing input of his own to make it so special! Honestly, just giving him an outline of what we liked and the type of music we wanted and having him fill in the rest was the best decision we could have made. Everyone young and old raved about the music and the DJ’s personality. He added so many touches throughout the speeches and dances that made it unique and personal. There was not one second that the dance floor wasn’t completely packed. People were dancing on the grass and at their tables because there wasn’t any more room!! Even before dinner, he had people swaying in their seats. The ceremony music went off without a hitch and it was so seamless we would never have known he was feet away with all of his equipment. We are so happy we found Dan for our event!!!

I highly recommend Dan and Ron from DM Productions. In the office, Dan was always quick to respond, and also helpful in our planning. We were especially particular when choosing a DJ. My husband and I have a distinctive, some might say eclectic, taste in music. Ron was very accommodating in this regard (our first dance was to a song by a Brazilian band). He was also flexible, as the planning progressed, we added two different sites for the music, a nearby chapel and a separate dinner tent. Ron was easy to work with and open to these additions. And the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing went perfectly, in pouring rain that arrived just as the guests were arriving at the ceremony. Ron was a professional “master of ceremonies”. Our group really enjoyed the dancing, and Ron kept the dance floor hopping for a half hour after the official reception ended (while guests awaited the second bus back to the hotel). You can’t go wrong with DM Productions!

Dan was the most incredible DJ we ever could have hoped for. Not only did he meet all of our expectations, he exceeded them. He is truly passionate about his work and was one of the most professional vendors I have ever met. I never had to worry about Dan like I did with some of our other vendors. He was so responsive to email and readily available whenever I had a question - which wasn't often as he was so detailed in everything he gave us. He took the time to really get to know what our likes/dislikes were, the vibe we wanted at our wedding, and without him I don't know if we would have had such a perfect day! The positive energy at our wedding from the ceremony all the way through our reception was tangible. I owe part of that to Dan because he created a soundtrack that captivated our whole audience - there was something for everyone! The dance floor was packed all night long, and our wedding was every bit the party we hoped it would be. What I loved most about working with Dan was that he felt like family from the get go. He wasn't just another vendor looking to collect a paycheck. My now husband and I had sat with Dan for a long time trying to come up with the most perfect "last song." Once we picked it, we were all SO excited, even Dan! I'll never forget looking over at Dan as he was about to cue it up at the end of our reception, we were both grinning from ear to ear. When the dance floor exploded in response to the first notes of the song I got goosebumps. I knew in that moment no one could deliver that kind of experience, that kind of perfect night, like Dan. He is absolutely incredible!

My Husband and I have both known Dan a very long time, have attended many events that he has DJ’d and have followed his success for many, many years. We know that Dan is the best in the business and when we decided to have this Wedding that Dan would be our DJ.

His professionalism and confidence are so reassuring. He listened to what we wanted during a couple of organized meetings at his home office. Dan takes the time to be sure he has it all right, not just the music/playlist but the names of your wedding party and how the reception will be organized so as to not disrupt the party. Dan reviewed the music with us on his awesome sound system, listened to our requests and had suggestions and solutions when we needed them. He was open to our ideas and honest when he didn't think something would work. Bottom line - 5 Stars – we are still talking about our Wedding reception party and the Venue has added Dan to their recommended Vendors list. We used DM Productions for our wedding in April and it was one of the easiest and best decisions we made when planning our wedding. Dan McCarthy, the owner of the company, was the DJ at my sister's wedding almost 10 years ago and we knew based on that event alone that he was the only choice for our wedding. We had Dennis as our DJ for our wedding and we could not have been any happier! We threw all the curve-balls we could think of his way and not only did he accommodate us, but he did so with a smile on his face. He was very flexible with us and helped us work in a live performance, Irish step dancing, and late night Irish singalongs. You can tell that he has done this before so it was nice being able to have one less thing to worry about on an already hectic day.

I have been to a lot of weddings and maybe I’m biased because it was my own, but Dennis was by far the BEST wedding DJ I had ever experienced! We hired him for our October 8, 2016 wedding and working with him from start to finish was seamless. He really listened to our preferences and kept the party going all night. I’ve had several guests tell me that it was the most fun that they’d had at a wedding and the party literally didn’t stop all night (until the venue kicked us out ). BEST DJ EVER! Dan was the most organized and responsive of all our vendors. He has a very simple planning process he walks you through, making sure he meets all of your demands. He made one suggestion we listened to, and we are so happy we did… He suggested we just provide a few must play and our do not play songs, but leave the rest to his own selection. We wanted to have a wedding where our guests danced the night away, and he said he would feel out the crowd and would adjust throughout the night to keep everyone dancing, and did he ever! I have never seen such a packed dance floor, everyone from all ages . The only regret we have is we could have continued to party longer, so we should have rented the space out for at least another hour. We get comments all the time about how our wedding was one of the best, and I am sure Dan and his DJing was a big part of that. If we ever need a DJ for another big event, we will definitely use Dan. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Dan was the first person we contacted after we picked our date. We knew if we were going to have an unforgettable, perfect wedding, the music would be the deal breaker. Dan was so professional at our first meeting, giving us an outline of what it would be like having him as a DJ. His website has an awesome and easy to use sample database of music to listen to which made the search process amazing. The best part about Dan during the music selection process was his honesty. He let us know if he didn't think something would work well in that spot, and also showed great excitement when we had fun song choices. At the wedding itself we could not have asked for a better time. His feel for the crowd kept the dance floor packed the entire wedding, we legitimately did not leave the dance floor the minute the music started! A sign of a great party was we received a credit on our open bar bill because honestly people just did not even have time to drink because they didn't want to miss a song! I highly recommend Dan and DM Production! He was classy and fun and guests of all ages were on the dance floor all night. He's very approachable, flexible, and organized making it easy and enjoyable to work with him. He made it an awesome night!

Dan was amazing from the time we meet to the very last song played! When my husband and I could not think of songs to play, we reached out to Dan and he emailed us back very quickly with some great options. I would recommend highly recommended him to all our friends and family.

Dan McCarthy owner of DM productions was our wedding dj last October and he lit it up! We literally had the time of our lives. People were up dancing before and after dinner and he worked around my favorite song choices while also blending in the best oldies classics and top 40 hits as well. We ended our night with SHOUT and there wasn't one person sitting down. When all is said and done - your guests won't remember the centerpieces, flowers, place cards, favors, etc. but they will always remember if the music was good, if it was fun .. Or if it was a party! So don't stress over the little things and enjoy the best dj company in the area.
Hell, my husband and I even had a blast during both our face to face meetings with Dan! The whole experience was wonderful.
Very professional and highly recommended :D

We were very particular when hunting for a DJ, and in our first meeting with Dan (held in person), we learned a lot about him that ultimately sold us: he likes to play short sets of lots of different genres of music, has been DJ'ing for 30 years, and DJs about 50-60 weddings a year. He's a member of a collaborative that could find a replacement if he got sick, and always carries "backups of backups" in case of equipment failure, showing up 90 minutes in advance to set up the space, test equipment, and meet any people at the venue he'd work with. After talking about our budget, Dan was very flexible and was able to give us a free extra hour because our wedding was off-season.

In the weeks meeting up to the wedding Dan met with us a few times to walk through the space, review our list of songs, lend us some of his equipment to have a friend play simple music at our ceremony (an offsite ceremony we couldn't afford to hire him for), and give us tips on the best order-of-operations for our day of timeline.

On the day of the wedding, Dan made unobtrusive announcements to signify our first dance, dinner service, parent dances, toasts, and cake cutting. Otherwise, he chose a great blend of oldies and new songs, managing to keep lots of our older relatives on the dance floor right alongside our younger friends and family! Dan stayed until midnight, finishing with our chosen last song and then showing me how to hook my phone up to the restaurant's smaller built-in system to keep music on until the restaurant closed at 1.

After the wedding, my husband and I were reflecting back on the vendors we'd chosen and realized that Dan was the only one who'd done absolutely everything he promised and in a few areas went well beyond the requirements to make our day easier and better. I could not recommend him enough to anyone who's looking for someone to take the reins and execute on music!

Dennis McCarthy was the DJ for our wedding this past summer, and he was simply phenomenal. From our very first meeting we knew he was the right DJ for our wedding. Super easy to work with, he was very interested in understanding what we wanted our party to be like, but at the same time knew what worked and what didn't, and was able to guide us through the process. During the wedding he was a complete pro - he worked seamlessly with the photographer and caterers, and his music selections kept the floor packed all night. I would recommend him to all of my friends.

Dan was recommended to us by our venue event manager, and we were impressed from the beginning with his quick replies and professionalism. Dan is very organized, always prepared, and a master of what he does - he really does want every guest to enjoy the event! He did the sound system and music for our outdoor ceremony as well our tented reception. One of the best moments of the evening was seeing every single person up and dancing to Uptown Funk- even the groom's 88 year old great aunt! Dan was such a pleasure to work with and we had so much fun. He has our highest recommendation!

Working with DM Productions was a breeze! They had an online portal for us to fill in all the details about our wedding ceremony and reception, as well as sections to select the music we wanted to hear and even the music we did not want played at our wedding. It was so easy logging on to prep for the wedding. Dennis McCarthy was our DJ and he did a fantastic job! He worked my friend's wedding in 2013, he did a great job then and we knew we wanted him at our wedding. He got everyone on the dance floor and kept the flow of the wedding moving smoothly. We received many compliments from our wedding guests about Dennis and the music!

Dan was awesome! We got married in July at the Publick house. We met with Dan a couple times to go over the specific songs we wanted him to play and we loved the online website to upload our playlist. He had the dance floor full the entire night and everyone was having a blast. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. I definitely recommend him for any event. You will not be disappointed! :)

My husband and I have been to at least 3 weddings where Dan was the DJ. So, it was an easy choice for us when it came time to pick ours. We must say, our family and friends had an absolute blast and that is due in no small part to Dan and his great assistant, Dennis.

From our first meeting to the last, we felt 100% at ease and assured that Dan would help make the night run seamlessly, which he most certainly did. I didn't consider myself a 'crazy' bride, by any means, but decided to e-mail Dan at 2am the morning of my wedding to ask for a small change in music and he promptly replied and assured me he'd make the change happen. How great is that?

We had two meetings with him, one at the beginning and towards the end. He has a great set-up in his home for listening to different songs and will take the time to get to know what you like and give you a few tips and suggestions along the way.

If you're looking for a solid, seasoned, and professional DJ to create an amazing night for you and your closest friends and family (at a great price!), let Dan McCarthy be your first pick and you won't have to worry another minute about your wedding day being an absolute blast!

LOVE this guy. He was recommended by a friend who used him at their wedding and everyone loved him. My fiance, parents and I were all super impressed with him at the first meeting. Working with Dan at DM Productions was fun and easy! We booked with Dan a year ahead of our wedding and I'm so glad we did. We had plenty of time to discuss details and meticulously select our music (we're both pretty big music nerds with eclectic taste) and Dan made everything happen. He provided the music for our ceremony and reception, as well as talked us through big moments like the cutting of the cake and the bouquet toss. Dan was professional and fun, but not your corny guy in a sparkly vest - which is exactly what we wanted. I'd highly recommend DM Productions!

"I have never seen so many people dancing at a wedding before" - said everyone who came to our wedding!!

Working with DM productions was the best experience ever! My FH and I wanted nothing more than a big dance party and that is exactly what we got! We were fortunate enough to have Dennis DJ our wedding and he was awesome! We met with him a couple times before the wedding and we were also given a portal online where we could log-in during the planning process to update songs we wanted and add information regarding the wedding party/intro songs/first dances/etc. It was so easy and so perfect!

Dennis was able to take the songs we really wanted played, read the crowd and give us the best wedding ever!!! I don't think the dance floor was ever empty! I totally recommend DM Productions for Wedding entertainment!!! Thank you Dennis and Dan!!!!!

DM Productions was absolutely the best music choice for our wedding! We went back and forth between getting a band or a DJ and I am SO HAPPY that we decided to go with DM Productions, Dan McCarthy specifically. First off, they are extremely professional and make the entire process amazingly easy and even suggested songs for every moment of the night (i.e. cake cutting, first dances, entrance etc.). This meant a lot to my husband and I as we were out of state while planning the Wedding. I also have to admit that this was not our first time listening to DM Productions. Dan McCarthy was at the wedding of some close friends of ours back in 2013, and he brought exactly the same energy and performance to our wedding two years later, which was amazing! We have received numerous compliments about the music from friends and family, of all ages, so you can be rest assured that you if you chose DM Productions, EVERYONE will enjoy the wedding!!

If we had to plan a wedding all over again, we would definitely pick DM Productions again in a heart beat. Hands down the best DJ in the Boston area

Working with Dan was awesome! He was extremely responsive and played the exact music genres that we requested throughout the evening. The form he had us fill out was very thorough and he didn't forget any details (making sure he had the correct pronunciation of everyone for when they were announced). We actually used DJ Dan because he did my brother's wedding a few years ago and the music was awesome. Everyone was on their feet dancing and having a blast throughout the entire evening. Dan exceeded our expectations and definitely contributed to our magical day. A+++++!!!

Dan was the DJ at my sister's wedding, a friend's wedding, and then mine. Never have I seen more people out on the dance floor than at all 3 weddings. He meets with you before the wedding and has great suggestions for songs, popular songs and amazing less played songs that people love but aren't over played. He played beautiful music at the ceremony and fun music at the reception. We would not have changed a thing.

Dan was awesome! It's been five weeks since my wedding and numerous guests have made comments about how great the song selections were not only during the reception but also during the cocktail hour. Dan was very helpful with recommendations on the various songs played at the reception (First dance, intro songs, Cake cutting ect). The dance floor was packed all night and the song selections played to all audiences in attendance at the wedding. I would highly recommend going with Boston DJ group!

Dan is the man. He is classy, calm , and flexible. With guest singers, an outdoor/ indoor venue and a large traditional band, we had quite a few musical / logistical needs. Dan took care of everything so that we could relax and have fun. I also appreciate that he found "What did the fox say?" at the drop of a hat for my 5 year old niece. Everyone was dancing all the time- Dan can really read a crowd!

Dan and Steve were the DJ's at my wedding this past June. I can't not describe enough how AMAZING and attentive the two of them were. From the ceremony to the end of the reception, they were fantastic! They were 100% dedicated to making our day absolutely perfect! They were professional, responsive, and extremely flexiable! They played a wide variety of music in which everyone was able to get up and dance to. The music flowed so nicely throughout the wedding. We would strongly recommend them to anyone planning a future wedding!!

Dennis was wonderful to deal with both leading up to our wedding and during. He was very accommodating meeting us twice before our day and was early that day setting up. He is so personable and nice. We thoroughly enjoyed working with him. A lot of our guests commented about how seamlessly the music flowed during the ceremony and through cocktail hour into dinner and beyond. Ron from DM Productions was our DJ and we were very happy with our choice! We had an online account with which we could organize everything we wanted for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We gave him a lot of flexibility to choose songs for the reception, and he kept everyone out on the dance floor. Ron also provided the music for our ceremony, and it was helpful to work with only one person throughout the entirety of our wedding. I would definitely recommend DM Productions!

Dennis at DM Productions was fantastic!! He handled the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music all seamlessly. My husband's family is from Colombia, and Dennis was so accommodating with our requests to have some Colombian music at our wedding. Not only did he get nearly all of a lengthy list of songs we provided him, he did a fabulous job mixing them in and creating a rocking dance floor. Once the parent dances ended and Dennis opened up the dance floor, it remained full until they turned the lights back on. I'm still getting compliments over a week later on how great the music was and what a great atmosphere it created for our wedding. I would highly recommend Dennis and DM Productions to anyone!

Dennis was great to work with. He had great suggestions on the type of music to play. The ceremony was outdoors and he was able to work with the venue to ensure there was power for his speakers. He had multiple backups so I was never worried that we wouldn't have our music. Everything was perfect.

DJ Dan came highly recommended and he did not disappoint! Prior to our wedding, he was always available to talk, meet, or email (which was a big deal to us b/c we lived far away!) He knew just what questions to ask in order to guide us through music selections, especially when we had no idea what to chose (like parent entrance songs). My husband and I are music lovers, with diverse music taste. DJ Dan was able to hone into our taste while meeting the taste of our 200 guests! The dance floor was ALWAYS packed thanks to his flawless transitions between songs and genres that had all ages dancing the night away! After the wedding, we received so many compliments about the music! One last thing to add, DJ Dan has the perfect Master of Ceremony voice! (As a speech therapist, this is a big deal to me!) He was informative throughout the evening to announce various events (introductions/cake/ first dances...) but was not annoying like some DJs can be. He was the perfect balance of entertaining, fun, informative and professional! Thank you DJ Dan for making our wedding be all that we wanted! :)

I cannot say enough about Dan McCarthy and DM Productions! Our wedding was on 7/11/14 at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield. Dan provided the music for both our ceremony and reception, and everything was absolutely perfect. But the perfection began much earlier than the night of our wedding.

Throughout the entire process of our wedding planning, Dan was available to meet with us as many times as we wanted and was always available via phone or email. Not only did Dan walk us through every step of the process, but he patiently helped us choose the perfect songs for all parts of our entire night by suggesting different songs/themes based on our preferences and personalities.

The last thing I want to comment on is that Dan provided uplighting free of charge for us. When he came to Willowdale, he noticed that it might be a bit better if some uplighting was added. Dan took the initiative to add this for us, and it made the entire reception that much better. Dan was professional and cooperative with song requests, and made sure to keep the flow of the reception going.

I could go on and on about Dan's professionalism and genuine care in order to make our wedding the best night of our lives. But all I will say is that even today, almost 5 months after our wedding, our guests are still raving about the music and the ambiance of the wedding. Without Dan, our wedding would not have been nearly as extravagant.

Honestly, you don't have to look anywhere else for a wedding DJ. Dan is super personable and is a perfectionist, making sure that all details are taken care of. I cannot say enough about Dan McCarthy and his DJ company. They have truly perfected all aspects!!!!

DM Productions were a blessing to work with. From first contacting him via email, to the meetings in person, to the wedding day, Dan was responsive, friendly, and very professional. He worked with us to find the perfect songs for the ceremony. He answered my questions promptly and easily came up with solutions to any concerns I had. (He was my co-conspirator at surprising my husband with his best Army buddy who wanted to give a Skype toast from afar - quite possibly one of the best moments of the night!) He kept the dance floor packed all night and played music that appealed to all age groups. Friends and family won't stop commenting on how much fun the reception was, and I know that Dan and his company was a big reason why it was such a good night!

Jumping. That's the word I would use to describe Dan McCarthy and DM productions. If u want your wedding to jump, hire Dan. Great to work with from start to finish. Very responsive to any ideas we had. We knew 5 minutes into our initial meeting he was the guy. Your wedding is going to come down a notch if you have the ability to book him and but don't. Dan literately had our guest chanting "One more song, One more song!" at the end of the night. The dance floor was constantly packed and everyone had a great time. He even cared enough to perfectly time out our introductions so we could walk in at the song's crescendo. There is really only so many ways to say perfect. It would be a mistake not to book him. Dan also did up lighting for our event at a fraction of the cost than the other lighting guys we looked into.

Dennis was our DJ and was wonderful. He met with us to talk about the wedding, suggested types of music for each part of the wedding. We struggled with a few songs and he made great suggestions. He arrived early and was all set up for the ceremony and the reception.

He provided the microphones for our ceremony and everyone was able to hear them even though we were outside.

The reception was so much fun. He kept everything running smoothly and everyone on the dance floor. He was very professional.
