They played amazing music and the mc had the crowd on their feet the whole time. I had an mc by the name of marco.

It is hard for me to write this review because everytime I think about my experience with this company, I become incensed. I do not like to write negative reviews of business, but in this instance, I have to.

I booked DJ USA for my wedding in June of 2011, based on recommendations from my cousins, who had used his services when he was just a solo DJ (sharad)--now he employs a few different DJs. The booking process was fine, they did try to sell us lounge furniture and what not, but whatever.

I had to fill out an itinerary and list of songs and send it to them, which I did, 2 weeks before the wedding. My husband and I sat down and chose tons of our favorite songs, and I was informed by a representative that they had received the list and would make a CD for the DJ to use.

I had two DJs--one for the traditional South Indian ceremony and one for the reception. I was informed that the ceremony DJ had done 100s of ceremonies and knew everything, but I was also instructed to make him a list of songs with timings and when to play them. I did this. I sent it a bit late in the game, mainly because my father decided at the last minute to add a bunch of traditional music, but the DJ received so no matter.

On the day of the wedding, I was very stressed out, and when I arrived at the venue the first thing I heard was the DJ saying that he didn't know what he was doing and no one told him what to do--despite the email that I had sent, and that I could see in his hands. So someone was instructed to help the DJ figure things out. I think he played things correctly, although I honestly am not sure--and hearing a vendor announce their incompetence at your wedding is pretty frustrating.

Then the ceremony began--I am skipping a lot because there is too much to put here. But despite the time that my husband and I put into choosing music and the assurance that the DJ would have it all, our DJ apparently had never seen this list and knew nothing of it. He was accomodating in that he called his office and got the list on his blackberry, and tried to play similar music. The ceremony DJ did a good job with what he had, and I'm sure he had no fault in any of this.

The most frustating part is that I sent a long email with all of these issues to DJ Sharad, the owner, and he responded with a long email about how this was all my fault. It wasn't particularly rude, but it certainly wasn't admitting much fault on the part of his company, and he offered us a free DJ session--which is not what I really want, considering how bad the first one was. We signed a contract for a service and did not receive that service, and when we informed the company, they blamed us.

The next day I left for my honeymoon so my mother took on the task of following up with Sharad. She spoke to him on the phone and he told her he would call her back. He did not. She called him a week later and left a message. That was 2 months ago. Still no word.

This company is entirely unprofessional. They may be capable of throwing a good party, but it is not worth the headache and money.

DJUSA and the MC did an excellent job during the wedding and reception. In the morning DJ played the correct music. All the music played during the Baraat was great that the grooms whole family danced until they were all drenced in sweat. In the evening time, he let me and my husband practice our first dance five times and he was all ready and set to go. THe lighting of the room by the DJ was a great job. The lights changed with the music and it looked really nice. The lighting technician also was nice enough to come up to me and ask me if I wanted anything else lit. Everyone was so personable, it made me feel comfortable to talk to all of them. The whole event put me at ease. Highly highly recommend the DJUSA for any party. The MC (MC MAXX) was also great. He just kept me laughing the whole time and he did the best job trying to get the entire group together. He made me feel comfortable in front of everyone. Again this is a group that I highly highly recommend.

Dave and crew were great. They played everything on our request list and had the crowd moving the entire night. The uplights looked amazing and gave the reception a great look!

They can be difficult to get in touch with--- so be warned. However, the sound system was excellent & the DJs very professional. We had three different sound setups which were all great. The music was generally excellent & everyone danced a ton and had a great time. We also got a lighting setup from them, which was also good.

OUTSTANDING job. Our wedding was 3 days long and we used DJU all 3 nights. The crowd was on their feet the entire night and the music was perfect. The DJ did a great job getting the crowd involved and was more than happy to accommodate us with our quirky requests. I was very happy and would highly recommend them to others.
