Best DJ ever!

DJ Chris was truly the best DJ we could have asked for our wedding day!! He was first class, played the best songs, and made our day hassle free! The Absolute Best Wedding DJ

We couldn't have imagined a better wedding DJ to play our big event! From the get-go, Chris was collaborative, informative and genuinely cared about making our day the best it could be. Music was one of the top priorities for our wedding event and Chris assured us he understood our vision and wow did he deliver on that and then some! He graciously offered suggestions about how to organize our first dances, speeches etc so that there was a seamless flow to the event. His announcements/words spoken on the mic were so tasteful and appropriate for the respective moment. He also brought colored lights that were placed throughout the dance floor area against the palm trees, they added such a fun and energetic touch! We got multiple compliments throughout the evening about how much our friends and family were enjoying the music. Most importantly, my husband and I were jamming all throughout cocktail hour, dinner, and then of course non-stop dancing through the rest of the night. I never wanted it to end!! The best dance party that we will never forget - absolutely MENTAL. Thank you Chris for making such a positive and memorable impact on our day!

Chris Paul was the best DJ I could have ever asked for! He is fun, funny, professional and truly made our wedding! Our dance floor was thriving thanks to him. Chris Paul is IT

I wish we could get married again so we can hang out with DJ Chris Paul again. He was our favorite vendor we hired by far. He met us for coffee a few days prior to our wedding and made sure we were on the same page with what music we wanted played and it was so nice to get to know him a little before spending such a big day of your life with someone and allowing them to MC the day. Everything was PERFECT, the music timing for the ceremony and our entire reception was just amazing.

Never danced so much in my life!

Chris came highly recommended by my venue and after reading reviews on WW, I knew I had to contact him! We chatted on the phone and I loved his vibe right off the bat. We met in person at our food tasting two months prior, as well as a few days before the wedding (to iron out the details). He was very knowledgeable when it came to putting together our day-of timeline (I also had many random questions throughout the planning process and he was so great to help me with those as well!). I wanted mostly 90s music played, with a bit of 80s and 2000s thrown in (no country, no disco) and he delivered! His set-up is very cool, as you can watch the music videos play during the songs. My concern was no one would dance...however, my legs and feet were so tired by the end of the night as I barely sat down! We had so much fun and my guests are still talking about "that awesome DJ" two months later.

Chris is the BEST!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and Chris was a big part of that. The quality of sound during the ceremony, the vibe on the dancefloor, the music volume during cocktail hour and dinner... all of it flawless. I picked music for cocktail hour and dinner, but Chris supplemented these playlists with great tracks that fit right in. Plus, I sent him a folder of pictures that he displayed during dinner and dancing. And the dancefloor was a hit! We really had an incredible time, and would highly recommend anyone getting married to hire Chris to handle all of your audio needs for your big day!

DJ Chris Paul, the Musical Maestro of Greater Palm Springs

My son and his bride were recently married at the Indian Wells Golf Resort. It was magical!

Putting on a memorable wedding requires a lot of work, money and time, researching and choosing the "right" venue, food, flowers, decorations, bar options and of course the Music. Get any choice wrong and you risk the "it was a great wedding except" comments by the attendees.

For me, the make or break choice (excluding, of course, an open bar) is the music. If the music is great, then you can wipe out the lesser choice mistakes and eliminate the post "but" comments.

So, how can you tell that the music was great? Simple, by the number of people across all generations on the dance floor all night long.

My son and new daughter chose DJ Chris Paul. First, he is a great guy, personable, a great listener, has great equipment, and is a master of his craft. You can tell he loves what he does, which is making people smile, tap their toes, sing along and dance. He absolutely had our wedding humming. Young, old, older, one and all, dancing and singing their hearts out. What joy.

So, take my advice, choose Chris to carry the tune of your reception. Trust me, you will be thrilled. More importantly, your guests will be thrilled-no but's about it!

Best Dance Party Ever!

My husband and I worked with DJ Chris Paul for our March 19, 2022 wedding at Indian Wells Golf Resort, and Chris came recommended to us with a 5-star rating. But, if we could give more than 5-stars, we absolutely would. Everything exceed all expectations and we could not be happier. Chris elevated our wedding day beyond anything we would have ever imagined.

We both consider ourselves music savvy, and have a wide range of tastes. Chris took our input, but also blunted our impulses of giving a finite playlist by saying, "We are here to entertain not educate." And, he could not have done a better job of making the music ours, while also making it danceable and accessible to everyone in the party regardless of age.

Chris had the place rocking so much we ended up extending our wedding another hour because everyone was having such and amazing time. The dance floor was on fire and all of our guests said it was the best dance party they have been to in years.

Besides the epic dance party, there was a classic desert wind storm that picked up 15 minutes before and during our ceremony, and Chris and his team jumped into action so all of our guests could hear every word of our ceremony with ease.

If we ever do any other kind of event out in the desert, we will pick an event date around being able to hire Chris!

DJ Chris Paul was the hit of our Wedding!

We met with DJ Chris Paul 2-3 times before our wedding and leaned heavily on Chris’ advice when planning the run of show for our special day. He gave us invaluable direction re: the appropriate length of cocktail hour, how much time we would need to transition, encouraged us to get speeches, dances and toasts out of the way before dinner for a seamless flow AND let me take over the DJ booth to kick off our dance floor (which guests still talk about!).

Chris provided microphones, speakers and music for our outdoor wedding ceremony, uplighting for our reception, along microphones, a Photo Booth with props, the full DJ booth AND a large screen that played music videos behind the DJ booth.

Chris is hilarious, charming and knows how to throw a fun party! As MC for the night he did a wonderful job keeping things flowing and our guests engaged. As DJ he knew how to read the room and had our large dance floor packed from start to finish. Chris made selecting songs super easy by asking my husband and I each to give him a list of our top favorite 5 songs, any sentimental family songs and then used his expertise to pick the rest! He knocked it out of the park!

It took a little convincing for us to go ahead with the screen and we’re so glad we did. Playing the music videos was not only entertaining, but people would look to the screen for dance inspiration and it created such a fun environment and vibe.

I can’t wait to get back on to a dance floor with DJ Chris Paul and our wedding wouldn’t have been half as fun without you!!

If you want a hot dance floor...

DJ Chris is truly the most fun DJ I could have imagined for our big day! He really knows music and is not going to have you stuck in your “today’s hits” category. He mixes and does his own versions of songs and our dance floor was on fire the entire night. He supplies you with everything you need. We opted out of hiring any additional musicians for the ceremony and DJ Chris was just enough! He also didn’t screw up any of the songs for the actual ceremony and got all the names right when it came time for announcing etc. He is a fantastic guy and you want him as your friend! BOOK HIM

Everyone will dance!

Every interaction we had with DJ Chris Paul was a complete pleasure! He had an excellent sense of timing during the event and knows how to get everyone moving on the dance floor! Beforehand, he took the time to help us figure out music for walking down the aisle, a grand entrance, and first dance when we had no idea what we wanted! Having a Palm Springs wedding? Book Chris!
Spoke to Chris on the phone before booking him and fully got a feel for him, his style, and the fact that he is a real DJ and not someone who just hits play.
On our initial phone call, he painted a picture of the whole evening for me and I was sold. He is not going to do anything cheesy, he will listen to what YOU want and then use his expertise to fill in the blanks. We got into Palm Springs a few days before my wedding, and he offered to meet up with us to be able to meet in person and chat about everything before the wedding--So nice of him to do!
Our wedding went extremely smoothly with all fo the music from the ceremony to the dances to the reception. Everyone loved how the music flowed, and that there were music videos playing! My husband and I loved how he truly incorporated the music we wanted in with the songs he supplemented with. It was a wonderful night! Thanks Chris!

Chris is absolutely phenomenal! He worked with us regarding our song requests and read the crowd like a true expert. This review is simple. If you want amazing music for your wedding then don’t even bother looking at bands or other DJs. Hire Chris. You know a DJ is amazing when you attend a wedding not knowing anyone and have the BEST time ever dancing the night away! I knew after that, I had to have Chris Paul DJ my wedding. When my engagement day came, the next day I booked him (a year and a half in advance) and my wedding was flawless. Chris set up the mic for the ceremony and took care of the processional music. He has an awesome set of lights, which make the dinner portion of the reception look like the inside of the Plaza Hotel and then when the dance party starts, he can make the dance floor look like a club in Miami. ALL of my wedding guests danced all night and the only complaint I received is that the night ended too soon, a major testament to DJ Chris Paul. I also threw him a curve ball by telling him he had to mix in Persian music and he nailed it! He can also play music videos which all of my guests LOVED. Best wedding/party DJ of all time!

DJ Chris is the real deal. He was a true professional that we could just count on to get the job done... and then some!
We weren't sure about all the songs we should include in our playlist for the dance floor so we left it in his hands to facilitate, and he nailed it. Highly recommend his services.

Chris was awesome! He was recommended by my planner and when we met we clicked. His style was perfect for our wedding: fun, classy, funky, and most importantly, up to date! He had great suggestions about extra lighting, using videos along with music, set up locations, etc. He made it super easy, and as an event planner myself, I am all about easy! Highly recommended.

Chris was fantastic to work with, very responsive and professional from the very beginning up until the day of the wedding. He did a great job reading the crowd and playing appropriate music at different times of the night. He was obviously very comfortable as an MC and did a fantastic job flowing from one event to the next (grand entrance, dances, cake cutting, and so on ...). Everyone had a blast using his photo booth, we received a digital download of all of the photo booth shots in conclusion of the event (literally every single one of our guests used the photo booth, it was one of the highlights of the reception). Chris displays music videos while simultaneously mixing his playlist, what a fantastic feature this was, it was a great way to keep people involved on the dance floor. Chris also provided uplights in the room, which really helped set the mood for dancing after dinner so we didn't have to keep the ballroom lights on to have visibility the space. We have attended weddings where a DJ's odd choices in music left crickets on the dance floor, I don't think there was one point throughout the reception where there wasn't anyone on the dance floor having a good time dancing the night away (and I wouldn't necessarily have considered our guests a dancing crowd).Thank you Chris!

Chris was very professional and helped make the wedding transition smoothly throughout the night to the different stages (first dance, speeches, cake cutting etc.). This was especially important because we elected to not go with a wedding planner or even a day of planner. Music was great and he was great at understanding what the crowd wanted to dance to. He responded quickly to any questions we had and was very easy to work with! We highly recommend his services!

Chris Paul is an AWESOME DJ!! We had him at our wedding reception and he did an amazing job keeping the crowd dancing and the night moved along so smoothly. He really took the time to get to know us and the kind of music we wanted at our reception. Due to our distance it was difficult to meet in person, but we had skype meetings that were so personable. He is very professional and kind. His pricing is fair and his music choices are AMAZING! I can't tell you how many people I have talked to since our reception that said, "Your DJ was the best!" Such a fitting compliment for Chris Paul because he really is the best! Look no further for your wedding DJ!

DJ Chris Paul was absolutely amazing! My wife and I are so happy to have had Chris as our DJ and MC on our wedding day. Chris is so talented and was able to read the crowd when playing and selecting music. Chris doesn’t just find tracks and hit play, but he mixes songs, acapellas, and beats together to make a unique sound that is tailored to the crowd. We left the dance floor lighting, up-lighting (it was an out-door wedding), and overall ambiance to Chris and we were blown away (as were our guests!) Needless to say everyone had a blast and was asking who our DJ was! Chris was very responsive and professional whenever we needed anything and he was extremely easy to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had excellent experiences with our vendors, and DJ Chris Paul was no exception. Making the correct choices have a lot to do with style, and styles vary, but after one initial phone conversation with Chris (after a few email exchanges), I knew he was the perfect choice and would do a fantastic job.

My wife has only been in the US for 6 years (from Taiwan), so I lead the way (with her final approval on everything, of course) on the vendor choices and communication. In selecting a DJ, it was important to find one that would partner with us and represent our musical preferences throughout each portion of our wedding. I'm a big music fan (primarily indie rock and 90's and 2000's hip-hop), and during my initial conversation with Chris Paul, learned that style was right in his wheelhouse, so it seemed to be great match. He's very experienced, so I'm sure he has many "wheelhouses" and can deliver great parties across a spectrum of genres, but he rattled off a bunch of artists that I love and was very enthusiastic about working with me to score a great event.

Prep: He emailed me the number of songs he needed for specific parts of the wedding, which obviously was important for us to choose, but we also trusted him to make his own selections for the cocktail hour, dinner, and dance party based on a few style recommendations from us. After all, we are paying him for his expertise, otherwise we could just set up a playlist and hit "play." We also discussed timeline and flow of the actual wedding, and felt very comfortable that he would help keep the wedding on schedule and timed out properly.

Event: We didn't hire a wedding planner, so I really trusted and leaned on our vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. Chris Paul showed up when he said he would, he set up properly, and technically executed a great event, beginning to end. Our guests danced for 2 hours straight. Chris Paul was the perfect choice for us.

DJ Chris Paul is incredibly talented and great to work with. He takes time to meet with you and hear your ideas, but honestly, he knows what he is doing and you're in great hands. Everyone danced the night away and weeks later I am still getting messages about how great the music was. He told us that when the dance floor opened our guests would be in awe over the lights and the music going off. Everyone was. My mother in-law can't stop talking about it. I can't recommend him enough. Book DJ Chris Paul, book his photo booth. Let him do his thing and you will be so happy. He is a pro. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him.

We could not have asked for a more engaged, creative, upbeat, intelligent and musically gifted DJ than we enjoyed with DJ Chris Paul.

We are admitted music snobs and had a list of tunes requested for the event but Chris skillfully augmented and integrated additional songs which escaped our request list and incorporated them perfectly.

Beyond that, Chris was a delight to work with and could not have been cooler.

If you want an unforgettable event in which your guests cannot help themselves by dancing non-stop for hours on end, then Chris is your guy! Cannot recommend him any more highly!

DJ Chris is the best. He nailed it with our music taste. From the ceremony to the end of night dance party he was spot on with the music. My husband and I could not be happier. Chris is such a professional. You don't have to worry at all if you hire him for your wedding. We gave him a list of songs to give him an idea of our music taste and he absolutely nailed it. We couldn't keep ourselves from the dance floor because all of the songs were our favorite songs. My mom and my mother in law were on the dance floor as well all night. We got a ton of compliments on the music and the overall feedback from all of our guests was that it was a great party. We hosted brunch the next morning and many guests didn't make it because they had too much fun the night before. Amazing wedding. Thank you DJ Chris for an awesome wedding!

DJ Chris Paul is the best of the best!! We had the most incredible time at our wedding. His energy, enthusiasm, perfect song choices and British accent made for the best party. DJ Chris Paul met with us personally and via Facetime several times before the wedding. He was very open to our ideas, but also had great suggestions to make our wedding special and fun. At one point during our reception (ALL of the guests were on the dance floor) a guest came up to me and shouted, "Where did you find this guy?" That was all we needed to hear! We got married last month and we are continuing to hear from our family and friends that our Palm Springs wedding was the most fun wedding they have ever been to! Thank you DJ Chris Paul for creating such a PARTY and giving us a wonderful memory to last a lifetime....we are forever grateful!!!

Chris, what can I say but, Let's do it again!! Chris was awesome. Given the option to do it all over again I would choose him in a heart beat. He was so much fun to collaborate with leading up to our big day and was totally open to all of our non-traditional song requests and went one step further to make our song selection even better then what we had hoped. Within each portion of our wedding he carefully curated the perfect song selection to fit the mood we were going for and he created the perfect dance party atmosphere for our crazy group of friends!

He was also able to make the microphone, speaker set up for our ceremony so effortless which I was so grateful to not have to think about it. Every part of working with Chris was easy breezy.

Not only would I hire Chris again but I'd also love to sit and have a drink with him. He was an awesome DJ and an even more incredible person to get to know. Thank you for everything Chris!

DJ Chris Paul, exceeded our expectations to say the least. My wife and I are pretty big music people, so the music and dancing at our wedding was one of/if not the most important part of our wedding. As many people know, there is a big difference between the corny wedding DJ and those that make a party, a great party. DJ Chris Paul was very responsive to all emails and calls, he made the extra effort to meet us at the venue before hand to share ideas, (all of which were brilliant), he worked together with us to make a sort of playlist, while at the same time allowing him to do what he does best. Everyone from children, to 90 year old grand parents were dancing.

We were even asked for a "CD of the wedding music" the following day. I can't recommend him enough!!!

DJ Chris Paul was the single factor that made our wedding "the funnest wedding we've ever been to!" We had such a great time that most of our guests stayed on the dance floor for every single song. Not an easy feat when you have a diverse guest list. He played the music we didn't even know we wanted to hear! As for the photo booth, it is a must. Just stop thinking about it and DO IT. The props were hilarious and our guests used them on the dance floor making the mood festive and exciting the whole night. DJ Chris Paul is an amazing professional, he worked so hard that night and even went over by an hour because we didn't want to stop! It was midnight before we knew it. He has a lot of experience with different types of music and offered insight into the ceremony selections as well. We loved working with him and would emphatically recommend him to anyone who asks. His pricing is very fair and reasonable compared to other DJs in the LA/OC area. Thank you DJ Chris for making our wedding night so memorable.

DJ Chris Paul was highly recommended by Leslie Lombino-Ridge at "Spencer's at the Mountain" in Palm Springs where we held our wedding. We booked a year in advance and knew he was the DJ for our event. Professional, witty, and experienced. Chris was THE BEST to work with. We put on an Old Hollywood style wedding with a few production numbers where a professional DJ was imperative. Chris went above and beyond. He has lighting and a photo booth. Sound equipment with microphones too. We used 2 video screens and he incorporated black and white movies during dinner with his projector. Then we had great dance music with coordinating videos playing on the screens. From initial meeting and planning to arrival hour music, through ceremony, cocktails, reception, and dancing the event went off without a hitch. Thank you, Chris!!

Wow!!!!! We Just Love Chris Paul and he is now part of our family!!!! We were so impressed with EVERYTHING he did for us to make our wedding perfect. Chris Paul met with us about 3-4 times prior to the wedding to get a feel for what style of music we wanted and just hang out with us away from his busy schedule. We mapped out a timetable with what type of music was to be played for each part of the wedding which made the whole night flow very nicely. Chris Paul not only took care of our ceremony music as well, but also agreed to be our Officiant!!!!!! The ceremony was outdoors and the reception was indoor at the Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs. Chris Paul's very funny and unique personality brought a lot of entertainment to the wedding as well with many laughs. His charisma and charm were the perfect touch to tie the whole experience together for our Rock N Roll Wedding. We also requested red up lighting, music videos and a photo booth, which Chris Paul was able to do for us as well for a great price. The reception definitely felt more like a sexy night club than a wedding and that's was exactly what we wanted. I cannot rant and rave enough about how wonderful the whole wedding was because of Chris Paul. The guests loved him and are STILL talking about how much fun the wedding was because of our DJ!!!!

My husband and I could not have been more happy with DJ Chris. He was recommended to us by everyone we met in Palm Springs while planning our wedding and after hiring him we know why. The guy is fun, responsive, professional, really knows his music, and does an exceptional job reading the crowd. DJ Chris had even the "non dancing types" out on the floor all night and I had several people comment that the only thing that could have been improved about our wedding was the size of the dance floor!

I highly recommend Chris and feel confident in saying that regardless of your music choice or crowd you will not be disappointed with Chris. We couldn't have been happier that we hired him.

Chris Paul was the biggest hit of our wedding. Period. Other than the 106 degree heat, we heard more comments about how great Chris was than anything else. Chris was not only responsive, but very eager to work with us on everything related to the musical components of the wedding. He answered all phone calls/emails promptly, he met with us twice before the wedding, and helped us to do it right while still having us put our own personal touch on the music. He found a way to help us integrate our favorite music (which is anything but mainstream) into the ceremony and events, without compromising the quality of entertainment for everyone else. His knowledge of music and vast library of selections helped to make the event great. One of the biggest hits was his playlist of big band and American Standards for the dinner hour. During the main dancing portion, he kept the entire crowd into it at all times. Also, do not think twice about the video display option... I was skeptical at first but it was truly great.

Chris is a true professional who knows what he is doing and is well worth the fee. I don't know any other DJs in the area, but I am sure he is the best.

There's no one in Southern California that can get a party rolling like Chris Paul! It was a killer party and he did an absolutely incredible job. When it came time for dancing at our wedding, I honestly think there was never a moment when the dance floor wasn't packed, which was awesome. We had people asking us all night where we found the DJ because he was that impressive. Chris is very collaborative, approachable, easy to work with, and has a great sense of humor. I am a local hairstylist in the desert. I have been to many, many weddings. I cannot say enough how important a good DJ is! It can make or break your event. I didn't have a wedding planner. I could call or text Chris anytime. He always responds and I could meet with him in person. Chris helped me keep my wedding flowing, gave me helpful advice, and kept me on track with the traditional aspects, without there ever being downtime. His DJ set up is beautiful, it looked perfect with my decor. When I came back to work my friends couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had and how funny my DJ was.

Chris is everything we needed in a wedding DJ and some. We had a pretty horrible experience with our wedding site coordinator, but he was easily able to take over control of the reception keep things on track. A true class act.

He has to be the best DJ in town, he has every style of music you could ask for and really gets a feel on what you like. Then he can really reads the crowd and keeps everyone dancing and having a great time. I would recommend Chris every time.

DJ Chris Paul is AWESOME! Our wedding was the best night of our lives in part thanks to him. He worked with us on music for each "event" for our wedding to set the tone and feelings that we were looking to evoke. He let us pick the genres and our favorite songs that we wanted to hear, but then filled in around these to complete the night. He is a master at making the event flow, reading the audience, and ensuring an awesome good time for everyone. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. He even found some rather obscure songs for us that we requested. I would HIGHLY reccomend him. I want to throw another huge party just so I can book him again!!

Its been a month now since our wedding and when we talk to our guests, the first thing they say is " Your DJ was awesome". My one wish for my wedding was for my guests to dance their faces off and they did! DJ Chris Paul was wonderful to work with, super responsive and very accommodating to my requests, he also helped guide me when I was too overwhelmed to make decisions. Super professional and super fun, the dance floor looked amazing. I hope to be able to work with him again in the future.

DJ Chris was such a big part of our wedding! He provided our pre ceremony music all the way to our dancing at the end. He was the perfect choice and listened to all our concerns. He also made really great suggestions. We were hesitant to have the music videos play during our dancing, however Chris convinced us and I'm glad he did. Our guests are still talking about how much fun the music videos made everything. If you hire DJ Chris, he will certainly be the one vendor you don't have to worry about!

Choosing Chris Paul for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. I feel that music almost more than anything sets the tone and feeling of the event and was vitally important to us. From the very start, Chris was excited, professional and responsive. We met twice in the months leading up to the wedding to discuss song choices and the feeling we wanted to convey, which I felt was really him going above and beyond. We had a million ideas of what we wanted the music to be and Chris helped us focus into a cohesive feeling for the day, respecting both the songs that were important to us and also offering ideas when we asked.

Do yourself a favor, and book Chris Paul early! Best decision I made.

Chris was AMAZING! We got so many compliments from our guests about the music at our wedding. We had mostly 30-35 year-olds in from LA, SF and NYC but my parents and their friends were also out of their seats dancing much of the night. You don't realize how important a DJ is until it's your own wedding. They not only create and keep the party going, they also set the tone for it with announcements and timing. We described some of the music we liked for each of the "segments" of the wedding - ceremony, cocktail reception, dinner, and then dancing. Chris picked up on what we were describing and immediately said "I know exactly what you are looking for here... how about this? And then this? Followed by this?" He was spot-on and made it so easy! And he delivered perfectly. Chris also played our ceremony music and was instrumental in helping us choose our selections. Throughout, from the initial meeting to the wedding day, he was easy going and helpful. He kept everything running smoothly from beginning to end. And his lovely British accent is adorable as well!

DJ Chris was an awesome addition to our big day! From the initial meeting, planning and event execution he did an amazing job of listening to suggestions and energizing the guests. Chris is experienced and it shows in his ability to tailor the music to the flow of the wedding. From cocktails to dinner to reception Chris can make it all mesh perfectly and facilitate the timely flow of things with announcements and guidance. His music library is extensive and he met every request from our diverse and various aged guests. As with anything else you get what you pay for and DJ Chris Paul was worth every penny. Music is a key component to a fun and memorable wedding and thanks in part to Chris our wedding was everything we could of hoped for. I would highly suggest using him for any event needing a vibrant and professional DJ. Thanks Chris, You're the best!

Chris was so easy to work with and gave us great suggestions on how we could best set up the room for dancing. He helped create a club vibe with lights and his video screen, but still kept it at a level that was appropriate for a reception. He met with us in advance and planned the music we wanted and discussed with us what we could expect. The day of our event, he was on time, dressed professionally and delivered a high quality evening. He kept the dance floor packed until the last song of the night, and delivered what he promised. Our guests were impressed, as were we and we recommend him without hesitation.

Believe the hype. We had high expectations for Chris Paul as our wedding DJ based on his reviews, and he delivered. He took the time to meet with us in person to talk us through what he has to offer and to listen to our feedback to customize the evening to our tastes. Also as promised, he "read the crowd" and played music that kept the dance floor packed with everyone from my grandmother to our friends to my younger cousins. The next day, everyone kept mentioning how great the music was. He is worth every penny of his (very reasonable) fees. Book him while you can!

This is not your average Blindly Leave Five Stars review. There really isn't another reasonable opinion of the work of DJ Chris Paul.

It never occurred to me that a great wedding DJ could also be a great DJ. We had a few guests who annually go to Ultra, Bonaroo, Coachella, and other world-class music festivals who were stunned at the talent of Mr. Paul. The beats were rolling constantly and the dance floor was always packed; even the wallflowers had no choice but to join in.

Mr. Paul demonstrates an innate feel for the party, moving in a brilliant way from song-to-song, moment-to-moment. What was originally thought of as a fun twist on the mother-son dance became the kickstarter for an absolutely insane evening.

My wife and I were blown away. Trust me, you will be as well.

Chris Paul was the ultimate professional. He made himself available for two lengthy meetings on two dates in advance of our event to share ideas, learn our preferences and plan in detail every step of his services tailored specially for our event. He delivered in every aspect, and kept to our plan so that our event was just how we wanted. He was not afraid to make suggestions and to let us know if he thought our plan could be improved upon (and his suggestions ended up being correct). A number of our guests commented to us that they thought he did a great job-- and we agree!!

DJ Chris Paul was by far one of the best decisions we made in the wedding process. His communication during the months leading up to the wedding were great. He even took the time to meet with me last minute at our venue, just a few short weeks before the wedding. He was so flexible and extremely professional with all my requests. He gave us great suggestions to make our wedding a success. Our wedding was so much fun, and the day after when I talked to everyone they had so many great things to say about the DJ. He kept everyone on their feet dancing and played something for everyone. He even had my grandma on the dance floor the entire night! It was an extra special bonus for us that Chris is British because my husband is from London, and we had lots of british guests. Thank you Chris for being such a special part of the best day of our lives!

My wedding was the best night of my life. Chris Paul helped make that happen! My fiancé (now husbend) and I had been to a lot of weddings and we knew what we wanted and what we didn't. Chris Paul understood my needs and made them happen. His immediate response to emails and extensive play list was only the begging. He made sure that my best friend could sing at our wedding with a microphone and assisted my dad in the best father daughter dance. He was professional and so kind. I would recommend Chris for a wedding or any other event!

DJ Chris Paul was amazing. Having a destination wedding did worry us (we had it in California, but live in NY), its always difficult to find someone who understands what you are looking for without meeting him in person. I must say he nailed it at once, after our first conference call with him, he captured exactly our taste for music and the direction we were aiming for on our wedding. When we met the week of the wedding, he had made a excellent pre-selection of songs, every song was perfect. You can tell he has passion for what he does, it is not just playing music that play on a radio, he chose songs that really represented us and during the wedding he kept everyone dancing and having a great time. I always say music is probably the most important part of a party, it stays with you long after the wedding is over. We are so grateful we found him, and wouldn't doubt for a second recommending him. And this is not only us, it was a common sentiment, our guests kept asking us how did we find such a good DJ. Thank you Chris!

My [new] husband and I absolutely loved working with DJ Chris Paul! In addition to being extremely funny, he is also personable and easy to work with. We really felt like he listened to us and went to great lengths to make our “wedding soundtrack” exactly what we wanted. My husband likes random 60’s lounge-lizard music, so Chris Paul made it work for the cocktail hour. I wanted to dance all night to early 90’s hip-hop and R&B, so Chris Paul made it happen! We left it up to him to choose the last song of the night, and he surprised us with the perfect one! Also, having the videos projected on the wall by the dance floor was a fun bonus feature. Initially, I was concerned that videos would take away from the event, but they really just added to the ambience. Overall, four very enthusiastic thumbs-up! Thank you so much!

Chris Paul was hands down the best wedding DJ ever. He made our wedding a party to remember. Everyone was dancing the entire evening. He was very responsive to any emails I sent him and we met with him several times before the big day. I basically left the music for the reception in his hands and I wouldn't change a thing. He seamlessly handled everything from before the ceremony, to the dinner and the dancing. Also, the music videos he played on the dance floor were amazing. I wish I could have more parties so I could hire Chris to dj them.

Chris Paul is an artist. There's a reason why he is THE DJ in Palm Springs, and now we know first hand. From pre-ceremony classical through cocktail hour jazz, to pumping top forty dance party, this guy KILLED it. The music video projection on the the wall turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the evening, and we're so glad we did it. It added an extra element of energy and excitement, and looked very classy. Chris is someone who is very aware of what's going on around him, making subtle changes to the playlist in realtime to orchestrate builds in the evening. Never overbearing, always just the right vibe at the right time. Kind of magical actually. Chris was a pleasure to work with leading up to the event, available and very accommodating. Everything we asked for we heard, but it was the choices he made that really blew us away. We felt like Chris knew exactly what to do at all points in the night. Without a doubt one of the biggest components of our successful party, and we would highly recommend him!

Do yourself a favor and book Chris Paul to DJ your wedding!!! He is so incredible....I told him we wanted a party....and boy did we get our party! It was SO much fun. From the beginning, I knew I made the right decision. He is extremely prompt at getting back to you and when I was out in Palm Springs the few times leading up to the wedding, he always made himself available to meet me at the venue to go over all the details. We worked together to come up with the best playlist for my wedding and throughout the night, I had all my guests commenting on what a party it was. He mixed the perfect blend of current as well as some throwback songs to appease everyone. I would do anything to go back and relive that night. Chris is such a cool guy with extreme talent at his career and I would recommended to anyone planning a wedding or event. Thank you, Chris, for the best night of my life!

In one word, DJ Chris Paul was "amazing". He was our favorite vendor to work with at our wedding, and he took SO MUCH time out of his day, each time we traveled down to Palm Springs, to meet with us and to ensure that we were happy and as stress-free as possible.

When asked about the favorite part of our wedding, nearly every guest said "that DJ was amazing and his set-up was unlike anything that I have ever seen before." He had ALL of the guests dancing the entire night and we actually went over our reception time at the hotel by an hour because the guests were having such an amazing time on the dance floor.

From the lights, to the video screens, to Chris himself - it was awesome.

Thank you DJ Chris Paul for making our wedding amazing and memorable. DJ Chris Paul is by far the best DJ in Palm Springs and I would vouch that he would make anyone's wedding absolutely awesome.

If you’re a DJ there are certain things that money can buy: high-end audio equipment, flashy turntables, staggering vinyl collections, expensive looking headphones endorsed by hip-hop artists.

Then there are things that – even if you are blessed with Bill Gates-ian sized wealth - simply cannot be purchased: stage presence, creativity, and above all great taste in music.

DJ Chris Paul, unequivocally, has all of these cannot-be-bought qualities - including some of the finest sonic acumen of anyone I have ever encountered. When my wife and I hired him to provide the tunes for our wedding, he patiently worked with us on our song selection, helping pick tunes that were both personally resonant to us but also rollickingly fun and a joy to dance to.

When the ceremony actually took place he took command of the event, directing throngs of guests (a tough thing to do – especially after cocktail hour) with a gentle yet authoritative demeanor (not to mention a wry British accent). The reception itself proved to be complete blast with our 140+ guests showing off their best moves on the dance floor set to music ranging from early Jackson 5 to Sticky Fingers era Rolling Stones to some of the very best offerings from Daryl Hall and John Oates. (Pro tip: Chris Paul also offers a visual component to accompany the music. It’s seriously awesome. Get it.)

Multiple people approached us and said that our wedding was the very best one they had ever attended. Flattering? Sure! And in no small way due to Mr. Paul’s efforts. More importantly, however, in Chris Paul we’ve made a friend for life. How many people can say that about their wedding DJ?

Chris was more than a DJ! First, and I think most important, Chris is a lovely person! He is very friendly, easy to converse with, and extremely funny. He made us feel as if we were making a friend rather than hiring a DJ. And let’s talk about the term “DJ”! Chris is SO much more than a “DJ”! Chris has an ear for music, he knows what works, he knows what is popular, and he knows all genres making it very easy for him to get a feel what his clients are looking for. We had what some may consider “different” music for our ceremony. Chris did not blink an eye at your choice, he took our music, edited it, and it was EXACTLY what we wanted. Any song request I came up with he found, and I can come up with some pretty strange music. I don’t know how many times during the wedding that my husband and I talked with Chris, and to be honest I enjoyed talking with him more than most of the attendees. I would hire Chris again without a second thought. I am looking forward to future events such as birthdays or anniversaries so that we can hire him again. We not only feel we made a wonderful choice with choosing Chris Paul as our DJ, but that we walked away with great memories and a new friend!

Upon meeting DJ Chris Paul, we knew we needed to look no further for our wedding DJ. Chris is professional and funny, hard to come by in one package!
He listened to our desires and did a fantastic job helping to create the atmosphere + vibe for our special celebration, begining to end.
The music he played was absolutely AMAZING! He knew exactly the right combination of songs to get the party going and to keep the party going.

Working was DJ Chris Paul was seriously one of the best decisions my husband and I made when planning our wedding. He was super fun, professional, and we just felt confident that he would deliver an awesome dance party - and boy did he ever!!! The dance floor was PACKED the entire time! Guests loved the cool up-lighting and videos he projected - it added a really unique visual element to our dance floor. Chris was in charge of all the sound and music for the entire wedding and everything went perfectly. He provided a clip-on wireless mic for our officiant and had a wireless mic for a reading during the ceremony and also the toasts. Chris met with my husband and I at our venue (Casa Cody Inn, Palm Springs) before the wedding and gave us great suggestions of where we should place the dance floor and the bar - and all his suggestions were spot on - the flow of the wedding really worked out. We also spent some time in person talking about the type of music we wanted at various stages of the wedding (pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, introduction, dinner, and dance party). Chris listened to what we wanted and offered us great suggestions based on our taste in music and personalities. The music throughout the day truly felt like "us" and the guests loved it! Chris was also super flexible about last minute changes. My husband and I couldn't decide on a parent dance song. During the reception, we finally decided that we would regret not doing it, so we gave Chris our thoughts, he bought a few options on iTunes instantly and without skipping a beat, introduced us and the song and kept everything short and sweet. It was beyond perfect! I highly, highly, HIGHLY, recommend hiring DJ Chris Paul - you will not regret it! Plus, his accent is pretty awesome! ;)

We would absolutely recommend Chris and are so happy with our experience!
We so enjoyed our first meeting with him (at The Ace hotel which recommended him) and knew right away that we wanted him to be a part of our wedding.
He asked for a must-play and a do-not-play list and we appreciated that those considerations would be met. He then did a great job of tailoring the music to our crowd and getting everyone on the dance floor having fun. It was such a blast!
And of course Chris comes with his amazing British accent so the announcements sound great!
He really was a delight to work with and I would absolutely say you should have him dj your wedding!
