Blown away!
Divisi Strings - BLOWN AWAY! When you first started playing as guests started arriving to the wedding, I could hear from the Rose Cottage, and it soothed my heart. I'm sure someone probably saw me peeking out the window in awe. Absolutely beautiful and set the ambience for our guests. You each played so gracefully and flawlessly. Every day is tears of joy, replaying the song chosen to walk down the aisle. We also wanted to recapture the music from our trip to Vienna and you exceeded that experience! We thank you so much for making our day so special and plan to book you again for future events. Everything was perfect from the classical for the prelude and procession, to the AMP'd for the reception/cocktail hour! Thank you again for such a great experience. Communication from Tony was outstanding! -

HIGHLY recommended if you would like to complement a beautiful location with beautiful music
My now wife and I had our wedding ceremony in the Butterfly Garden. While beautiful, it does not have a sound system. I was initially thinking of using a Bluetooth speaker or boombox, but my fiance disabused me of this notion. Once I regained consciousness, she strongly suggested a string duo to complement the beauty of the location. Our excellent wedding planner, Stephanie Tan at Peachy Events (who we highly recommend), suggested Divisi. We met with them and they suggested a string duo. They were very professional and easy to deal with. We simply selected songs (classic, pop, etc.) from their list. We could have also had songs converted to strings but did not use that option.
During our wedding ceremony, the duo was very professional and perfect! They played contemporary music while the guests waited, wedding music for my bride and I, and My Universe (our song) on the way out. Our guests really loved them and this - combined with the Butterfly Garden and beautiful flowers for Linda and Secret Floral Garden - really made it feel even more ethereal in the butterfly garden!
Overall, HIGHLY recommended if you would like to complement a beautiful location with beautiful music! -

Book them!
Hands down, the absolute BEST live music!! As a wedding coordinator, I often saw Divisi Strings play at weddings almost every weekend and they are SO talented! I am impressed with how many songs they can play because it seems like they can play anything! When I got engaged, I knew I wanted them to play my ceremony music and chose the string duo. I had them play three songs, and I absolutely was so happy that everything was perfect! I will continue to recommend them!!-

Talent team of Professionals!
Divisi Strings Quartet was the perfect touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were very communicative and prompted. The music was beautiful. It was exactly what we dreamed, and their repertoire of songs is large and diverse! They played every song that we requested and guests cannot stop raving about the fun experience and whimsical mood Divisi transported them into. -

Wonderful!
Divisi played our pre-ceremony music at the church where our ceremony was and sounded wonderful! Their questionnaire and payment processes were easy to follow as well. Highly recommend them if you want a string quartet at your wedding! -

WOW - A Must for Your Wedding!
DIVISI Strings knocked it out of the park! Every. single. guest LOVE their medley and brought elegance to our ceremony. Made us feel like we were in a "Bridgerton" episode. They had everyone entranced and even stayed late to play a Disney melody for the children. Thank you! - Kelci & Joseph Z. -

Beautiful quartet!
Divisi Strings is, without a doubt, the best in the business! They were professional and easy to work with. We had the AMP’D quartet play the pre-ceremony and ceremony music at our wedding last March. They have a huge repertoire list and each song we selected was played to perfection! I’m still getting compliments from my guests! -

Memorable experience

High Recommend
Divisi Strings did an awesome job playing strings for us. We originally wanted strings and harp trio but decided last minute to change since our wedding planning ideas changed. We wanted a string quartet, but we knew it was a small chance they were available since it is a very popular option and it was a last-minute change. We ended up doing a pop strings duo instead, which actually ended up being an unexpected perfect choice for us. They were able to accommodate songs we especially wanted them to play during the ceremony that was not part of the pop strings duo repertoire. Unfortunately amongst the wedding hecticness, we weren't able to enjoy the music during the cocktail hour they played. We had several guests who told us personally they thoroughly enjoyed the music during cocktail hour. -

Great addition to ceremony
I ran into Divisi strings at the Bridal Expo. They were playing popular songs on the strings which sounded awesome. I walked up and started talking to Tony about what the quartet could do and suddenly they started playing “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and I was sold!
They played our ceremony and cocktail hour and did an amazing job! They helped us pick songs for the ceremony and had a very extensive playlist.
They even agreed to do a special song with my husbands mother during the ceremony. She plays the flute so they provided her some music and rehearsed before the ceremony together.
Very responsive to emails. Very happy we booked them! -

Wonderful to work with and beautiful music
We booked Divisi Strings as a surprise for our daughter's wedding. She was so thrilled when she walked down the aisle and realized that her selection was not a recorded version of her special song, but a beautiful string trio. Shelli and JD were so accommodating as we changed our original plans -- all because of COVID -- from April to September and then finally to August. They were so helpful as we navigated the change in dates and change in venues and change in songs. Our guests thought the live strings added so much to the intimate ceremony. Thank you for helping make our day extra-special! -

I love Divisi!
I love Divisi Strings! As a professional opera singer who is also in the events industry, I have a high standard for live classical music and Divisi exceeded my expectations! My husband and I hired their string quartet for our pre-ceremony music and processional. They created a custom arrangement of a famous opera duet (two of our groomsmen are also professional opera singers) and let me tell you: MAGIC. This was one of the highlights of our wedding and I couldn’t have done it without them. Special shoutout to Tony, JD, and Shelli! -

Not even a pandemic could stop Divisi Strings from performing!
My best friends wedding was scheduled for early May and unfortunately had to be canceled due to the shelter in place. I was supposed to officiate their wedding and they were devastated as their date was sentimental to them as a couple. Their wedding planner suggested a private roof top ceremony for the two of them at their home so they could still have their significant date and a celebration later on with their vendors. Divisi Strings was one of the first companies they hired and they were so excited to contract with them for their special day. Late on Friday night, I had the idea to see if a duo might be able to surprise them and play for the two of them during our Zoom ceremony with family watching from afar. I reached out to DS and had a response within 10 min late on a Friday night that they were thrilled with the idea and would get back to me over the weekend when they checked with their musicians. Not only did they bring the most perfect duo to surprise them, they brought them to tears. They couldn't find the strings for their special song and composed the music for them to be able to play on their day. Divisi Strings pulled off the most thoughtful surprise for them, and for me coming through with the song I didn't think was possible. Thank you so much for treating my friends with such care and making my their ceremony memorable for them (and for me back home in Chicago)! If you are looking to hire a professional company of wonderful musicians that will come through for you, even in a pandemic, hire Divisi Strings! -

I cannot say enough positive adjectives about Divisi. We had them for our whole wedding ceremony and reception, and even had them learn a song specifically for us. The music was so incredibly beautiful, and so unique from the same run of the mill DJ weddings. I hope I find another reason to hire Divisi again in the future! They were an absolute pleasure. -

We had a string trio for our wedding and everyone raved about how amazing they were! We were able to choose which songs we wanted for the processional, recessional, and candle ceremony and everything was so beautiful. I first saw Divisi Strings at a bridal show in Houston when my sister-in-law had told me she booked them for her wedding. I immediately fell in love! Divisi was one of the first vendors I booked for our wedding and I am so happy we did! We booked the amp'd quartet for the ceremony and cocktail hour. We also booked collide for part of the reception and then closed out with their DJ. All areas of Divisi are fabulous.
On our wedding day it ended up raining and we got married out in the rain. Divisi was on top of it all completely setup and ready to pump their beautiful music outside for us while they kept their instruments nice and dry inside. By far my favorite part was getting to listen to Collide perform. All of our guests were amazed and in love with them!! If only they had a CD (more than the demo) or could just follow me around all day :D
Overall they were so incredibly wonderful to work with. Setup an easy Skype meeting to go over everything. I could not have been happier. As a musician myself, they take it to the next level with performance and professionalism. Book them right now!! -

Ever since I knew I wanted to get married I always envisioned having a quartet play at my wedding ceremony, and I couldn't be more happier to have chosen Divisi Strings. I met them at the bridal extravaganza and knew instantly they were the ones I wanted. Our priest that can be a little rough around the edges absolutely loved them and had the congregation give them a round of applause. -

We hired a string quartet to play a few pieces at our wedding ceremony in a church. They played the prelude, family processional, with a soloist, and the postlude. Except for the solo, I wasn't in the sanctuary when they were playing, but I heard it was great! They were easy to work with planning and scheduling! -

Our wedding planner suggested Divsi Strings to us and we got the Amp'ed package. I'd always dreamed of walking down the aisle to Helena by My Chemical Romance but I couldn't find any sheet music for the strings anywhere. They said it wasn't a problem, composed the piece, learned it, and played it for my wedding. It was beautiful and just what I envisioned. My parents got a good laugh out of it and couldn't believe I actually walked down the aisle to that song but even they said it sounded nice. We had a Harry Potter themed wedding so they played Hedwig's Theme add my guest entered the ceremony. I've only received compliments on the string quartet from my guests they really enjoyed them. They played at the ceremony and cocktail hour and I thought they were very reasonably priced for a string quartet that played for an hour and a half. Besides those two songs we specifically requested we left the music selection up to them and all the songs they played were fantastic! -

I am so glad we did our ceremony music with Divisi Strings! They were absolutely amazing. I found them at the bridal extravaganza in Houston and the moment I heard them play Canon in D, tears were streaming down my face. I am a classically trained vocalist so classical music is very close to my heart. I was able to hand pick all the songs for each section of the ceremony. It made our ceremony that much more special. I can’t say enough about how great Divisi Strings is! One word- AMAZING! I contracted to have a strings duo play classical music at my wedding ceremony and it was perfect and flawless. In fact, a friend of mine recorded me walking down the aisle on her smart phone and I replay it over and over again; not to watch myself but to listen to the music. The performers were prompt, very well dressed and very professional. Tony Sanville was my contact person and he was great! He was professional at all times and answered all the many questions I had. I could tell that I was working with an established, seasoned and reputable company. The icing on the cake is that they are very affordable. I would recommend that any bride (or any other person) in the Houston area or beyond in need of ceremony music contact Divisi Strings. You will not be disappointed. -

I had Divisi Strings play during the prelude, processional, and recessional of my ceremony and also during the cocktail hour of my reception. They were well worth the money spent and added such a great ambiance to the ceremony and cocktail hour. It was so wonderful to be able to walk down the aisle to a real string quartet rather than something played over the speakers. Divisi Strings was extremely easy to work with and they have the option of either a phone interview or a Skype interview, which I chose the Skype interview and it worked out great. They were even able to suggest a different recessional song that I ended up going with instead because it was so beautiful! -

Ahhh, it was perfect! We hired only a guitarist to play some of the most beautiful songs to entertain our guests while they waited for the wedding to begin, and then the song I chose to walk down the aisle. He fit the mood we were looking for. They were so easy to work with. -

My friend recommended Divisi Strings for my wedding when I mentioned that it had always been my dream to have a chamber orchestra perform at my wedding. Divi Strings were wonderful. Everyone loved them. The musicians came dressed as if they were performing at the Wortham Theatre!
As I made my entrance into the cathedral with their music in the background, I could have easily been a princess in anyone's palace! Divisi Strings helped to make our wedding ceremony beautiful, meaningful, and timeless! -

Divisi Strings played the music at our daughters wedding and at the reception for the coctail hour while the family was taking pictures. I had so many guests rave about them and told me how much they enjoyed the music. The wedding was outdoors at Varner-Hogg Plantation and the music was so fitting to the location. They traveled to the reception site and set up to play for our guests in the tent we rented. It was a unique event and the music the trio provided was wonderful. -

All I can say is, Wow. We have gotten so many compliments regarding the ceremony music that Divisi Strings provided. We went with the string quartet and we were not disappointed. We hired the string quartet to play songs from their Amp'd song selection (on their website), and it was amazing. Having a string quartet to play stuffy songs during my ceremony seemed like an awfull idea, so instead they played songs from Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, etc. It definitely added an extra flaire of uniqueness and it kept the wedding guests entertained while they waited for the wedding to start. It was really awesome. -

We had Divisi Strings to play for our outdoor ceremony at sunset. They played beautifully! It was just how I imagined it sounding and I am glad we decided to go with them. Our DJ recommended them to us and we went to see them at the Houston Bridal Extravaganza in July 2011 and we were blown away. Their website is very helpful since they list the songs that they are able to play. I did research from there are decided on the music and submitted the questionnaire. They called me back to confirm and called again the week of the wedding to confirm once again. They were great and I def recommend them! -

Divisi Strings was a nice touch to our ceremony. Having them plan prior to the wedding helped remind guests a ceremony was to begin soon and they needed to take their seats. The music was lovely. We had an outdoor wedding in a small space and the sound level was perfect. I was going to go with a four piece but they were the ones to tell me that a three piece was sufficient in our space. This information saved us money. My only regret is that as Bride and Groom we did not get to enjoy the pre ceremony music. -

When I first saw Divisi strings at the bridal extravaganza I was impressed by how beautifully they played. I asked them to play the Ave Maria, because since I was a little girl I have always wanted to walk down the aisle to that song. I had listened to different string quartets play this and I just hadn't found the one. When Divisi played the Ave Maria, it was so beautiful and moved me so much that I was brought to tears. Then and there I knew that I just had to have Divisi strings play at our wedding.
As a bride you get to work with many different vendors and Divisi was one of the most professional vendors that I had the pleasure to work with. Shelli, the president was prompt in our correspondence and always ready to answer any of my questions. We met with Tony, the other owner and he was kind enough to meet with us at a later time because of my work schedule. Tony was patient and listened to all of my ideas and had great ideas to share with us. We had a string trio for the ceremony and a pianist for cocktail hour and dinner. The guests all had wonderful things to say about the music. The musicians were great and the accommodated our requests. Our pianist was wonderful.. I love disney songs, broadway and elton John and she played a lot of my requests. We had a great experience with Divisi strings and would not only use them again but would recommend them without any hesitation. They really add a touch of class to your event.:)

Thank you so much Divisi Strings for being so very professional and open-minded! We wanted very non-traditional music for both our ceremony and cocktail reception and we contacted numerous classical musicians. However Divisi was the only company that was fore-thinking enough to accommodate our request and not only did they accommodate our request they hit the request out of the park! Tony really listened to what we wanted for our ceremony and cocktail reception music and he made it happen. The guests loved the powerful Latin pieces that played during the ceremony and the hip-hop music that was played on the strings during the cocktail reception. -

They were very easy to work with. We could do phone meetings to decide on the ceremony music and they would help and had get suggestions. The ceremony was beautiful and they were a elegent touch to the day. -

These guys were great! They were affordable.. easy to book.. and so professional!
They got all the information they needed from me, worked with the music minister from my Church, and confirmed everything we me the week before the wedding.

We loved this group, my only wish would have been to get a recording of the music that they'd played. We had so many compliments on their work but we were too busy with guests to really get to enjoy it. Great job! -

my husband contracted divisi strings to play during our wedding ceremony. they were very professional, showed up early, and were ready to go! very responsive with email and there prices are competitive. we had requested 5 special selections which they did not have in the repertoire; not only did they find the score to play but they played the pieces flawlessly. we were very satisfied and look forward to using them again. -

The musicians from Divisi Strings were excellent! They are extremely talented, and guests attending my May 30th wedding ceremony absolutely loved the string quartet. Several people commented on how beautiful they sounded. I felt like having them play at my wedding made everything so elegant. Some of my guests said they teared up when the string quartet played The Lord's Prayer. I like the fact that they have a large selection of religious songs they can play for your service. They were extremely effecient! My husband and I loved having them as our ceremony musicians! I highly recommend their services to future brides! Thank you Divisi Strings!!! You absolutely ROCK!!! -

They were AWESOME!!! Thats about all I have to say, I am very picky when it comes to music, since I have played piano for 16 years of my life now and have received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. As long as you, or they have the sheet music, they can play juat about anything. I am a contemporary gal myself, they played Journey's "Don't Stop Believing," as I walked down the aisle. For our unity sand (instead of unity candle) The Police's "Every Breathe You Take." I received so many complements from guests, and I was so glad I used them for the ceremony music. A strinbg quartet, or any other live music at your ceremony really personalizes your wedding. -

These are truly outstanding musicians. The quality of their performance is extraordinary; they set a wonderful tone and spirit for the wedding.

I found them at University of Houston while I was attending there my senior year of college. I heard about them through other music majors.They gave us excellent service. They were very professional and were on time. On my wedding day I was in tears when I saw the room all set up before the ceremony took place and they were sitting right there waiting and ready to go with a smile. My wedding was one week after hurricane Ike and they still were professional and contacted me to relieve me of my stress of me knowing the knowledge that they would still be present at our wedding. They played all the pieces that I requested and added a little extra. I am so proud of them not only have they all graduated from the music school of music of University of Houston there business plan has expanded in the past year that I have know the music group. They did an excellent job and were reasonable with there prices and would recommend to anyone to have Divisi Strings play at there wedding ceremony or reception. -

Absolutely gorgeous music, great value for the money, extremely flexible. They changed the times for me several times as well as stayed after the ceremony to play during drinks. They even played The Godfather for my Italian in laws! -

They were very responsive and ended up doing a wonderful job. My only drawback was that I had to use a recorded version of my song because I didn't have the sheet music to them in time. In talking with their manager, there was never a length of time specified for them to learn music. I sent it two weeks before and the harpist said they couldn't learn it that fast. It was disappointing, but I think the piano version was beautiful. It worked out, but if you use them make sure to get your music to them well in advance. -

Divisi Strings provided string trio and DJ services for our wedding. They were every professional and made the entire process, before and during our event simple and easy. The string musicians were beautifully talented and were very professional. They new exactly what to do and moved from our ceremony space to the cocktail space and continued performing. The DJ, Jason, was also amazing. He arrived early and had everything set up on time. He began playing during the reception and did an excellent job of matching music with mood and kept our guests informed of the events of the evening. Jason was always aware of what was going on and adjusted lighting, music, etc. when he noticed a change was needed - no monitoring or direction required. I highly recommend Divisi Strings for any event. -

Professional and Elegant
My sister and I both used Divisi Strings for our wedding ceremonies, and they were stellar. I hired a violin/cello/harp trio. The Divisi staff was professional and walked through my detailed vision with great expertise and patience across several phone calls, and they provided some excellent recommendations to help me fill in a blank or two. Even though we didn’t have a traditional wedding, they were receptive to our vision. I spoke with several vendors before choosing Divisi, and with other vendors, I dealt with unresponsiveness, impatience, and statements like, “that’s not how things are done,” or “if you don’t trust me to do that for you, find someone else.” Trust me, Brides, you can get the same Houston musicians through several local agents, and Divisi is the most professional one.
The Divisi musicians were punctual, and played beautifully, adding an irreplaceable elegance to our wedding.
