Reviewing Robyn Nichols from Distinctive Memories LLC
Robyn was absolutely amazing, we had a large wedding party (7 on each side!) which would be overwhelming for anyone, but she got right to business taking pictures of us at the end of our ceremony and even got to know everyone's names in the hour we took pictures. That is super impressive especially considering there were 17 of us! I love that she has a sneak peak the day of the event on her Facebook, my husband and I enjoyed checking into our hotel the day of our wedding and looking through some of the sneak peak pictures. This really made our night super special! She is super flexible about meeting for picking up pictures and times that you want pictures taken. Everyone was super impressed with her professionalism, quality of the pictures, amazing turn around time, and genuinely sweet attitude. She is great even getting itty bitty ones to look and smile at the camera! We had her for both our engagement and wedding photography, and will definitely reach out for any future family/milestone photography!

Capturing our Memories for 15+ years
We met Robyn when we booked her for our wedding back in 2009. She also provided an engagement session. She promptly had our edited images ready for us within 2 weeks after our wedding. Since then she has continued to capture our family’s milestones, including newborn sessions and up for 4 children, family photos and many, many mini sessions. Her flexibility and commitment to providing the best memories for us is always something we can depend on. Can’t recommend her enough. 5 stars!

We've used Robyn since our engagement session and she has captured every moment of our lives for the past ten years. Top notch Photographer!
We can not thank Robyn enough for being by our side on our wedding day! She played such a big part in our day and not only was she our photographer but a mentor when we needed to take a breath, and a coordinator of all things. She was so very helpful and worked seamlessly with other vendors to make sure everything went smoothly. We received multiple comments both at our wedding and afterwards about how wonderful Robyn was. The day after the wedding we already had about 85 edited photos from her which was her sneak peek. I was more than impressed with those and how quickly she had them available for us. We got all of our photos in just a few short weeks on a SUPER cute flash drive. The photos are stunning!!! She created moments for us that we will never forget! She was early, personable, professional and a whole lot of fun!!! We are so happy to have found our forever photographer!!

Totally thrilled with Robyn at Distinctive Memories!
My wife and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything went with Robyn. We feel lucky that she was available for our wedding. She took the time to listen to what we wanted and gave us the most beautiful photos that were better than we could have dreamed of.
We had an idea of what we wanted and she got us those shots but then she came up with some of the coolest ideas and now we are framing her photos for our new home.
We couldn’t thank her enough for capturing our day so perfectly- and for all of the help she was with everything that popped up with the caterers and the music- super impressed with her wedding knowledge and how capable she was to help keep the day moving.

Best decision of our wedding!
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who goes above and beyond, you’ve found her! Robyn is hands-down the most talented and dedicated person I’ve ever encountered. She literally GOT IN THE WATER to get the perfect shot of us. I was thinking we could just make it work from land but she saw what we didn’t and with zero hesitation, jumped in and got the best photos of the day. Her ability to capture not just moments but emotions is unmatched, and they truly made our special day even more magical and now we have prints to looks back on from her in our home, homes of friends and family and basically all of our profile photos. We couldn’t be more impressed.
We super appreciated the quick turnaround, we had some photos online before we were unpacked and got home after the weekend and the rest were to us in what had to be record time!

Amazing Photographer!
We chose Distinctive Memories for our wedding photography and could not have been happier! Robyn did a phenomenal job, she captured all of the special moments so beautifully— she has a great eye for the little things but also makes all the group and family photos great! On our wedding day, we had to push all of our planned photos inside due to rain and Robyn handled that so well. We had a quicker than normal engagement, Robyn's responsiveness made us want to work with her, and seeing her work shows that she really does love her job! She put in extra time in both our engagement and big day to make sure she got all the precious moments. She was beyond helpful the day of - she took charge when it came to hectic family pictures and even reminded us often how quickly the day passes and to take moments to just watch our guests and take our own mental pictures. We also were so happy and surprised when we got not one but TWO sneak peaks before we went off on our honeymoon!! Robyn is a strong photographer, and is excellent for weddings! We hired Robyn for eight hours on our wedding day, and she made every minute of it really fun! Robyn was very flexible and in good spirits the entire time, she made sure to take pictures as she needed, but never interrupted the overall process at all. Our families and wedding parties loved her too. Robyn is particularly good with positioning and engaging children as well. We received a TON of images with all copyright released, and Robyn was able to get them all edited and ready in very minimal time after the wedding. We were very happy with the photos in the end, and loved how our wedding day was captured. Overall Robyn could not have made the process more smooth and fun, and we loved the pictures!

Amazing Destination Photographer
Robyn joined us for a destination wedding. From the moment we arrived Robyn was a part of the group like she has known us forever. She was very professional and a blast to have around us. Best Wedding Photographer EVER!
My husband and I were overjoyed with the entire experience of working with Robyn from Distinctive-Memories! From the first meeting/test shoot, the engagement photo session all the way through the wedding and seeing final photos! Robyn put us at ease, we barely had to think at all about what poses or photos we wanted, she really has so much experience and knows what will look good and what won't! She was able to get our flower girls to smile and look at the camera for some amazing shots - which is hard to do with a 2 year old! Overall, we could not be happier that we found Robyn, and we will definitely be using her in the future for any of our memories we want captured.

Best Destination Wedding 2023
We wanted a destination wedding and dd not trust the local talent. This was the best decision we made. Robyn was with us the whole week. Robyn has been our family photographer for over 20 years! I would never consider going with anyone else because we are always so pleased with the results.

Amazing, easy to work with, beautiful pictures and quick turn around
We went local with many of our vendors, well local to our home not necessarily our venue, but in doing so it made meeting with Distinctive Memories/Robyn that much easier for us. Her experience and understanding of the flow of a wedding day while matching our personalities made our pictures absolutely perfect and truly captured our day. She even went above and beyond to have a sneak peak (and plenty of photos in that sneak peak) less than 24 hours after we said I Do! then to exceed our expectations more she was flexible to work with us to capture our dream day and an extra dream of including our dog with our wedding attire even though he couldn't be with us that day. Robyn is busy but never too busy for you and your pictures, questions, and to give help outside taking your photos, and that is because of her quality and being amazing to work with! I would pick her again and again for our pictures!

Great Experience and results
This vendor was a fantastic photographer to work with. Her previous experience working at a wedding venue helped us throughout the day as it was as if we had a second wedding coordinator on site. She had great ideas for photos and when it got past the canned photos it never felt like she was in the way while getting candid photos.
We received our first look the next morning that contained over 30 photos all of which were great. We even did a second session after the wedding instead of an engagement session so that we could get photos with our dog that was not at the ceremony and she worked well with us and help get the dog to cooperate.
I cannot recommend them enough as a photographer for your big day.

Absolutely fantastic wedding photographer
From start to finish Robyn was an absolute joy to work with from engagement photos through the wedding. From her flexibility with schedules and timing to her professional recommendations on different shots you know her expertise is top notch. She was constantly shooting the whole time and we got so many photos and all were fantastic whether they were pretty poses or candid moments. She totally worked with our wedding theme to incorporate in our photos and even made a bride to be look good in engagement photos while her soon to be husband proposed when she was wearing packers sweats! Highly recommend her for any photography needs!

Phenomenal! Made us all feel comfortable and worked with us on what we wanted
Robyn at Distinctive-Memories is absolutely amazing. She worked with my husband and I from the very start to give us what we wanted. We were able to make a customized package with her so we could get what we were looking for. When shooting with Robyn, she was able to take us two awkward people and really work with us and make us feel comfortable. The pictures turned out absolutely stunning. Robyn was able to perfectly capture the posed pictures as well as the candid pictures. We will be going to Robyn for all of our photography needs in the future!

Highly Recommend Distinctive Memories
Distinctive memories was an easy choice for us when it came to documenting the most important day of our lives. We had previously met Robyn through my sister who was married a year prior and instantly fell in love with her work! We loved how easy going she is, how many photos she took (we had close to 3,000), and that she caught in the moment pictures of not only us but our guest as well. We are so thankful that we have amazing photos to look back on from our special day for years to come 💕

Our Life Photographer
My husband and I got married November 10th of 2018 and used Robyn as our photographer! We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience! Robyn is very easy to work with and very creative! She made us feel very comfortable the moment that we met her. She's a very go with the flow kind of gal and her experience showed and helped ease our mind when we realized our wedding was the weekend after daylight savings and our ceremony time meant we were going to have to fight with the light outside and our engagement photo session was right when the town fair was being set up. Our pictures are gorgeous and she captured every moment and more that we wanted to remember on our special day! Best Photographer, Hands Down!
Robyn took the time to sit down with my fiance (now husband) and I and go over prices and different packages. With our wedding package, we also got a FREE engagement photo shoot! She took hundreds of photos in less than 30 minutes and they all turned out amazing! For our wedding, she took photos from all angles, and made sure ones we requested were taken as well. We received the copyrights to all of our photos- over 900! Ever single photo was amazing and she captured our day perfectly! We recommended her to my bother and sister-in-law for their engagement and wedding photos and those turned out amazing as well! I would highly recommend Robyn at Distinctive Memories for all of your photography needs!

Great Value and Attention to detail.
Robyn is a bargain! We received great photos that we love for less than we budgeted. Robyn is fantastic and has an eye for the little details- like asking my friend to remove the hair tie around her wrist and twisting around my MIL's necklace. She captured every moment and we couldn't be more pleased with photos hanging in our house. I look forward to coming back in a few years and asking to photograph my family at her studio.

Do it, seriously hire her right now.
WARNING- Robyn is extremely likable and you won't want her to leave at the end of the night. We felt like she was one of the gang and could not have had a better experience. The pictures are beautiful and so true to how the day really was. Most photographers will charge you way more for way less. HIRE HER!
PS she also does a wonderful photo shoot for dogs, so if you need anything between a pet photographer and a wedding photographer, you have found your person.

The Perfect Photographer
After moving to the area 5 years ago we searched for a new photographer to capture all of life's moments. We have been going to Robyn for all of our family, newborn, and wedding pictures ever since. Robyn has a way of bringing out the best of everyone and we are extremely happy with the results of every photo shoot. She captured the pictures on our destination wedding in Jamaica and they are absolutely beautiful. Our magical wedding day
I can't begin to say how great of a job that Robyn did. Captured all the memories that we had requested and a bunch more that we didn't think about. People say you plan and plan for the big day, then on the day it's over before you know it. It's true, but thanks to the pictures we can relive it with the memories every day.

We all know the saying a picture is worth a thousand words.. that is the absolute truth! My husband didn’t want to pay for a photographer for our wedding, he was just going to rely on friends and family to caputure the moments for us. Robyn did our family pictures a little while ago. We have difficult schedules but she always made herself available. She took a ton a pictures (we have little ones) to make sure she got the shot. She did some outside and inside photos. Robyn has a variety of props and back grounds that make the photo session fun. She is very friendly and works really well with stubborn children! The sneak peak was up the same week on Facebook and the CD was available shortly after. I would definitely use Robyn's services again.

My fiance and I went to a tasting event and ended up meeting Robyn. I left the event telling my now husband, that we had to have her. Not only were the photos beautiful, but they also told a story. However, she wasn't fitting into our budget. I kept looking for another photographer, but would keep going back to Robyn's website. To make a long story short, I called Robyn and told her I wanted her...needed her, but it wasn't fitting into our budget. She asked what our budget was and said, "We will make this work." We? I was so excited; she said WE! (and gave us engagement photos).
Fast forward to the wedding...Robyn showed up on New Years Eve with professionalism, calmness, and her personality ready to work. We didn't want to have too many posed pictures instead we wanted to capture memories to tell stories. Now of course we had the posed ones that are common, but we trusted her enough to let her guide us if needed or to just know what to do. I don't like taking pictures, but that didn't last long because she had me laughing and relaxed so I could really enjoy this day. After discussions with Robyn, my husband and I wanted to do a sneak peak. Let me just say that was the most memorable because she really caught the emotion, love, and story of that moment. When I saw the sneak peak (the very next day), I cried because I was reliving that moment all over again. I was remembering the feelings and thoughts at that moment. One of my favorite pictures of my husband and I is one we didn't know about or didn't pose for, but it still looks like it was out of a magazine. I gave my husband a bible as a gift during our sneak peak and Robyn snuck a picture of his ring on the Bible (didn't know at the time). The Bible was lost which made me sad because of the sentimental value...couldn't find it an anywhere. When looking at the sneak peak, we saw the picture and was so happy she captured his gift. Simply put...she is an amazing photographer and person! Love the moments captured!

Robyn is beyond amazing. She's super easy to work with and very creative with her shots. We ended up with several frame-worthy pictures from our wedding. I was appreciative of her flexibility - when I sent her a few shots I really wanted, she gladly accommodated. During the ceremony, her style was non-intrusive; I didn't even notice she was there. The family photos that normally seem to take forever were very efficiently organized and she asked all the right questions prior to that moment to avoid uncomfortable situations where family members don't get along. Our "sneak preview" was an impressive number of photos, which is fun. I highly recommend Robyn!

We got our disc in the same week as our wedding... and Robyn was leaving for vacation that week! She knew how excited we were to see our photos before we left for our honeymoon and she went a step beyond expected and did our sneak peek and completed our disc before she left to visit her family. We were impressed with every photo. Our parents cried when they saw the photos that we surprised them with (while they were hanging out with friends we replicated some of their old photos as a gift).
Robyn has a level of patience with large groups that we were very thankful for. With all of the kids in our family we were concerned about how we would get everyone looking in the same direction. Robyn was entertaining and had everyone in the photo engaged! Thank you so much for everything you accomplished with our family. Cannot wait to use you for our baby announcements...someday soon :)

I don't know if I will ever be able to say how wonderful Robyn was to work with. My husband and I are not super comfortable being the center of attention, let alone, having our picture taken for 1+ hours. Robyn was so comfortable to be around. My husband and I are outdoor enthusiasts and asked to have pictures taken with animals and other various props. Not only was Robyn willing to coordinate a dog and a horse, she was excited, which in turn, made us excited for our pictures.
When it came to our wedding day, like most brides, I was nervous. Robyn helped me breathe and take every moment as it came. My pictures with my bridesmaids were so natural. We weren't over posed and Robyn caught some amazing candid moments for all of us. The biggest thing I can say about Robyn is how she treated my wedding guests. Several of my close family and friends made a point to tell me how great she was and how much fun they had. Some of my family got some great group shots, while some couples got beautiful pictures that we could send them with our Thank Yous.
When you choose Robyn to be your photographer, you will not be disappointed! She is professional, but also, so relaxed and a wonderful person to have around,

Our wedding was hectic to say the least! We had several arms of the family tree (several divorces and many step parents) and Robyn was able to keep each of the couples straight, even helped keep the ones that shouldn't be in the same photos straight! We couldn't thank her enough for her attention to detail. Toward the end of the reception we wanted some themed photos with some very large props. We were not sure how she would feel about it but she dived in and made it work and even had fun with our crazy requset. To top it of...we got our disc within a week!! Impressive turnaround. 5 stars.

Robyn has so much energy and was so involved with making sure we got all of the photos we hoped for. Our wedding day was so incredibly long and she was able to keep our wedding party (including the kids!) on point and looking great in every photo. After the big night we were exhausted, we were thrilled to get home from brunch the next day to find that our sneak peek was ALREADY available!! We couldn't have been happier with our choice in Robyn. We loved the variety of photos, and the hilarious moments experienced while creating some of the most fun 'photo scenarios'.

Robyn was every bit of fantastic as we had been told! Several friends were thrilled with her work so we signed a contract and looked forward to our special day. Sadly it was pouring rain and we were not prepared....but she was!! She pulled out some um fellas and took the most fabulous shots of us. Cannot wait to get these printed and in our home. Thanks for saving our special day, every one in our party was impressed with how she remembered our names! Our photos were creative and we didn't feel like we got the same old shots as every wedding out there. Thanks Robyn, happy to recommend you to anyone that asks!

Robyn was absolutely amazing!!! We could not have asked for a better photographer to capture our wedding day. She was super professional, very fun, creative and so easy to work with. She was not intrusive whatsoever, yet it seemed she captured every moment. Turn around time was crazy fast! She posted several pictures of our wedding the very next day. We were so impressed! The pictures she took look absolutely stunning!!! I had people tell me that they are some of the best wedding photos they have ever seen. Robyn was so wonderful to work with! I stumbled upon her location while on a walk with my now husband, and am so glad I did! She made me feel at ease from the moment I booked her, taking the extra time to ensure she knew what moments to capture, which would be most important to me. Her style is creative and fun, which resulted in pictures that didn't look or feel posed. When I look at my pictures now, I remember the happiness and excitement that I was feeling in each moment, and I can't thank her enough for that. My husband and I stumbled upon Robyn's location on a walk through downtown Menomonee Falls last summer. After taking a look at her past work, I knew she was the one I wanted to capture my wedding day. Our day could not have been more perfect, and thanks to Robyn, every last, breathtaking moment, was captured for us to cherish for years to come. She was fun to work with, made us, or bridal party and family/friends feel comfortable and really made an effort to make sure she caught all the moments we had discussed prior as being important to us. Our pictures are beyond beautiful, and I cannot wait to frame and display our favorites in our home. Robyn is superlative! We first worked with her through a mutual friend's wedding where she was the photographer. When it came time to find a photographer for our own wedding, we didn't even bother looking around; we knew who we had to have! We have done 3 shoots with her, and have one more coming up and have gotten nothing short of the best each time!! She's great with kids that may be a little camera shy, amazing with difficult situations, and a solid foundation to lean on when/if a crisis arises all while remaining extremely professional. Robyn captured our engagement photos and wedding photos. She was nothing less than amazing and brings a lot of creativity to her photos. She is very positive, upbeat, energetic, and helpful. We have been impressed with her photos from day 1 but what puts Robyn over the top of any photographer is her helpfulness the day of. Not only is she there to capture your moment, but she keeps the day fun and make sure your needs are met. It still stands out to my groom and I how thirsty we were after the receiving line, and Robyn was there to save the day with water. Not only were my husband and myself very impressed with her but i had many comments throughout the night from the wedding party on how amazing she was and how fun she was. Robyn has some great ideas and she works with you if you have your own ideas. I had her contracted until 9pm the night of the wedding and around 8:30 - she gave me a heads up that she had a half hour left to get in any last shots that we didn't have. She was with us all the way. She was much more than a photographer - she even went as far as to make sure that myself and my wedding part were okay and even got drinks for us from the bar! I highly recommend Robyn to any bride for their wedding. She also took the most adorable pictures of my two year old son and did a fantastic job on our engagement photos.

When several small crises arose, she was able to allay any anxiety! The night of the wedding, we had a sneak-peek posted on Facebook, so we were able to see some of the pics immediately. I absolutely would recommend Robyn to anyone and everyone that needs a photographer for any occasion but especially weddings. She has an amazing eye to capture the most beautiful pictures. What I loved about her the most is that when it comes to taking pictures, Robyn thinks "outside the box", doesn't always go for the "traditional" picture, which makes for some amazing shots. Her outgoing personality helps bring out the best in the ones she is shooting and her professionalism was outstanding and as far as her flexibility....well, let's just say my daughters wedding party was a bit crazy and she just went with the flow. When I received the disk of all the pictures, there were almost 700 pictures on that disk, if that is not testament enough on what a dedicated photographer she is, don't know what would be!! Just can not say enough about what an amazing photographer Robyn is!!

Robyn photographed my daughter's wedding on the 28th of September and my son's wedding on the 6th of July this year. She made each set of photos different for them...at my daughter's wedding she ended up falling off a pier into the lake but threw the camera onto the pier so all the pictures were saved...she kept on shooting with a towel wrapped around her until we could get her in some dry clothes....she is fun creative and a great person to work with...I would recommend her to everyone. Thanks Robyn for some great shots and memories that will last a lifetime.
