Rev. Jay did SUCH a great job making sure our ceremony went beautifully!! He really takes the time to get to know the couple and their style, and he helped us connect and live in the moment during our vows. He really put both me and my (now!) husband at ease and made the whole process so easy. Definitely book Rev. Jay! -

My husband and I didn't have a specific idea of what we wanted for our ceremony. We needed a little guidance and Jay was so helpful! He made it so easy for us to customize our vows and readings and was very confident everything was going to be perfect and it was! He took so much pressure off that part of the planning. During our ceremony you can hear my husband say "he's crushing it" and several people have contacted me after our wedding to ask where we found him! He was worth every penny! -

All I can really say is this: Jay charmed the snot out of my grandmother, who is famously not easy to please. I've had so many compliments on how heartfelt and romantic our wedding ceremony was. Jay asked a million questions to make sure our ceremony was exactly what we wanted it to be. He had us write our own vows and made the whole process all about us and the commitment we were making. It was wonderful. If a friend talks to me about getting married (or I even overhear a complete stranger talking about it) I will be shoving Jay's card in their faces immediately. He is a true professional, and helped make our wedding day amazing. -

Reverend Howell worked with us in a private session prior to even writing our vows or picking any readings. He gave us great material to look over and truly great advice on writing our vows. Reverend Howell gave us the most memorable and elegantly spoken wedding ceremony. He makes you laugh, cry, and truly BE in the moment we hopefully only get once in a lifetime. So personalized! You can have exactly what you have always wanted and so much more. Jay was so thoughtful. He helped us in every possible way. First he put my fears to rest with his process, and then he even helped me deal with the other vendors I was still contemplating. On my wedding day, he was light and humorous, and was an amazing calming factor to a hectic day. He made me feel special. I would recommend him without hesitation. -

Rev. Jay Howell was wonderful as our Officiant for my daughter Sarah's wedding, held at the beautiful Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, the first weekend in November. As my daughter and myself both live in the Dallas area, we did not know of or have a Minister to officiate at her wedding. Rev. Howell came highly recommended to us through the Museum staff. We met with him months prior to the wedding and were touched by his thoughtfulness, humor and genuine desire to provide a meaningful ceremony by working with and both my daughter and her fiancé, Jack. He spent time helping the bride and groom decide what they wanted their vows to say and it was a very moving ceremony. Both the Bride and Groom are part Native American and Rev. Howell was very helpful to include that in part of the ceremony. We couldn't be happier or more grateful to Rev. Howell for his help and very highly recommend him to anyone needing an outstanding Officiant. Than you Rev. Howell!

Choosing Rev. Jay Howell as our Officiant was one of the easiest decisions we had to make. He is very personable and professional. He provided us with material for writing our vows and gave feedback when needed. He tailored the readings exactly as we chose. Everything flowed perfectly and he kept our guests attention throughout the ceremony. There is a lot of stress that goes into wedding planning, but when it came to this part, he made it stress free! I would highly recommend Jay to anyone in search of the perfect Officiant. -

Rev. Howell made our wedding day so special! Even though my husband and I live in Dallas, Rev. Howell was always attentive when we reached out with questions. He made us feel calm about the whole ceremony part of our day and it turned out exactly how we wanted it to be: short, sweet and personable. I couldn't of asked for a better Reverend for our wedding.

Rev. Jay Howell made our wedding and vow experience incredibly smooth and relaxing. Typically, the most stressful moment of a wedding ceremony is when the bride and groom deliver their vows, and readings, to each other, but with Rev. Howell we both felt confident and natural due to his guidance and repetition. We are very thankful that he was able to be the officiant at our wedding and we consider ourselves fortunate and lucky. Reverend Howell made the entire process so easy for us. Our ceremony venue did not have an officiant on site and we found Jay thru a recommendation. Reverend Howell was so great to work with! My husband and I do not live in Oklahoma and Jay was willing to talk with us over the phone several months before the wedding so we could discuss options for the way we would like our ceremony. Once we arrived in OK we met with Jay to discuss the design of our ceremony. Jay was so friendly and down to earth, very easy to talk to and get to know. After our meeting, we left him to design our ceremony and he did an amazing job! Everything that was said at our ceremony was exactly how I had always imagined it-it was perfect!! I am so grateful that we found Jay to be our officiant! I can't think of one thing that could have made our experience with Jay any better! -

Jay was everything we wanted and more. We wanted a more laid back ceremony that still had some of the usual traditions. Jay helped us design a ceremony that fit us perfectly. We kept a few traditions and added some of our own unique style.
We decided to write our own vows. Jay helped us tremendously by giving us advice and some vow samples to help us decide how we wanted to write them. My husband is vision impaired and legally blind and Jay went above and beyond for him. He helped him by printing his vows in extra large font and also helped him to get through them.
Jay also helped both of us get through our wedding. He put both of our minds at ease countless times while we were stressing out. He constantly reminded us, "No matter what happens during the wedding, when it's all over you guys will be married and that's all that matters." That always put everything into perspective. I would definitely recommend Jay to anyone getting married. He made our ceremony amazing and reflect our personalities perfectly. Most importantly, he cared about what we wanted and helped us do exactly that and we are so grateful! -

As a parent of a bride, I was extremely happy with the service provided by Jay Howell. He took time to meet my daughter and her fiancée and used that information to personalize the wedding service. I had multiple guests ask me how we knew Jay and they were surprised to find out that he was not a family friend. Jay also helped with the entire service including reading choices. He encouraged the creation of their own wedding vows and they were perfect. I would recommend Jay. -

I would recommend Reverend Howell a million times and then some. I grew up in a very catholic family, and my husband was in a more non religious family setting. When planning our wedding I knew that we could not have a traditional catholic wedding, and I was very nervous about finding the right officiant. Our wedding planner Rene Punch with The Tulsa Wedding Society recommended Reverend Howell, who was also apart of the TWS. At this time we lived in a different state for a temporary period of time, and had plans to move back shortly before our wedding. This made the interactions between us and our vendors a little more difficult, but Reverend Howell was very easy to email back and forth. We actually did not meet him until the week or so before our wedding, but as soon as we did it took a weight off of our shoulders. He is so personable and friendly, and also serious when need be. He talked with us about our needs, and made sure that we each got to put in our feedback on the type of ceremony we would like to have. He also encouraged us to write our own vows, which was something that we were not expecting or even contemplating doing. Because of him, and his guidance with the whole process we ended up writing beautiful vows that really made the ceremony very special for us. He makes it very easy for you, and really helps with every detail but still letting you have your own say. He was a wonderful addition to our day, and the also to the rehearsal before. He made everyone laugh at the rehearsal, and then had everyone saying what a wonderful ceremony it was. Even though we kept our ceremony pretty much non-religious, he made a point in respecting my wishes on keeping some of my traditional values. Every single person that came to our wedding commented on how great and wonderful our Officiant was, and that was something I had been concerned with. He is wonderful, I cant say that enough! -

Reverend Jay Howell was one of the easiest, kindest, most laid back wedding vendors we worked with. He was so flexible with our crazy work schedules. Jay is fantastic! I would highly recommend him as an minister. Our wedding day has some very stressful moments and Jay was so wonderful about making sure I was ok. He is worth every penny. He really made our ceremony something special. If you are looking for someone to marry you he is your man. :) I will recommend him to everyone I know that is getting married. -

Rev. Howell responded in less than 24 hrs. And was able to work with us on very short notice. He his professional and very accommodating to the needs of his clients. He works with you every step of the way and very helpful to make your special day extraordinary. I had a few unexpected issues happen the day before and on my wedding and he was very flexible and made our wedding perfect. I would highly recommend Rev. Howell to anyone! -

Jay provided a great customized wedding ceremony for me and my wife. We were really unsure of what we wanted, so we did not give Jay much to work with! But based on our personalities and the ballpark ideas of what we gave him, he created a great ceremony for us. He has great presentation skills, and just enough humor to keep the audience from drifting. Our wedding was exactly what we were looking for and could not have done it without Jay! Definitely recommend him for anyone that's looking for a more personal message and customized ceremony for their wedding. -

Rev Jay was amazing! He made our wedding day truly feel that it was about us becoming husband and wife. My husband and I are not religious and have different beliefs. This made finding an officiant difficult for us. However, Jay was very easy going, easy to talk to, and willing to help us do what we wanted which was so important to us. -

Jay was awesome. He coached us on how we could put our wedding together, including a prayer, readings, and vows. Our ceremony had some traditional and non-traditional elements, that suited us as a couple. Very wonderful and warm person who we would recommend to any of our friends looking for an officiant. -

Reverend Jay Howell was great. My husband and i wanted to do something different and not traditional and he made this happen. He sent us a list of readings of about 100 and we went through them and my husband and i picked two that we thought described us best. We also wrote our own vows witch was very special and Jay helped us with writing them in a way that would be easy to read. During the ceremony he spoke loud enough where every one could hear and also lightened the mood. I was of course crying during my vows and he gave me the reassurance to continue it was amazing if i had to do it all over again we would definitely choose him again. He was worth every penny -

Reverend Jay Howell was AMAZING! He was very helpful through the whole wedding process and made our ceremony just the way we wanted it. We really wanted to have my husband's son be included in the ceremony so we decided to do a sand ceremony and I wanted to say vows to him. Reverend Howell helped us come up with the perfect vows and it was so touching that my step-son was crying (he is 12). Everybody told us how wonderful the ceremony was and it was truly perfect! Reverend Howell was the absolute best offiicant my husband and I could have asked for. Three weeks before our wedding, our friend, who we had ordained, got sent on an emergency mission overseas. Rev. Howell was recommended to me so I called him first thing after we found out about our friend. Although Rev. Howell had a prior committment, he still agreed to do it because he wanted to do everything he could to marry us and help us have the perfect ceremony. It was definitely perfect. I had so many compliments after the wedding about how great our officiant was. He was trustworthy, friendly, professional, and a great speaker. I would recommend Rev. Howell to my closest friends knowing they would be in the best hands. I honeslty believe he is the best in the business and he will do everything he can to give you the ceremony you want. -

Rev. Jay Howell married my brother and sister-in-law over five years ago. They were so happy with their ceremony that we decided to use him to officiate our wedding. He made our special day a great success,. above and beyond what we had hoped. Going into the planning stages of the ceremony, he made all of our conserns disappear. His thoughtful advice took a hugh weight off the shoulders of my, then soon to be, wife and I. He is laid back and extremely easy to work with, this makes the perfect ceromony well in grasp. I've known Jay for over 20 years now, so I knew exactly what I was getting when I ask him to officiate our ceremony, but for those of you who do't know him, you should know these things: Jay is one of the most caring and compassionate people I've ever known. He cares about everyone. He will care about you and your wedding. He's also a ham. He's great at capturing the spotlight, but he's equally good at redirecting it, which I think is what most people want for their wedding ceremony. Nobody enjoys a boring wedding, nor do they want the spotlight stolen from the most important people in the room at that moment in time: the bride, groom and their families and friends. Jay is flexible and accommodating. He will work with you to achieve your vision of the perfect wedding. Jay is cool-headed. Rare is it that a wedding goes off without some little hiccup. You need someone in control. Jay doesn't break a sweat. After our wedding, my wife and I got so many positive comments about the ceremony. I now have friends who aren't even engaged telling me they plan to have Jay do their wedding. I'm not sure what more you could ask for. -

It was to be one of the most special days of my life and, as such, I needed someone special to preside over the ceremonies. Having interviewed with several officiants, I found myself dejected and certain that I wasn't going to find anyone who could bring the personal sensibility, humor and ease to my wedding that I had so dreamed of. I didn't think I was asking for anything outrageous, but I certainly did not want to be trapped with the typical, the hum-drum, the false sense of ritual that had pervaded so many weddings I had attended. I expressed so much to a close friend over coffee one day and she told me, "I think I know just the person. How did I not think of it before?" She put me in contact with the Reverend Jay Howell, whom I came to call "Jaysus" for having resurrected my spirit, and little by little the pieces of my dream wedding fell back into place. He was accomodating, easy-going and open to the infinite possibilities that our various brain-storming sessions presented. His mixture of humility and gregariousness brought the aura of mystery and celebration to my special day that even I hadn't dreamed of. In the end I found more than just an officiant. I found an entertainer, a kindred spirit and just the right weaver of clouds and stars I could have never imagined. -

Jay was pretty matter of fact but easy enough to work with. We did the option where I write everything so it's cheaper, which was better for us, but easy for him. We are not religious so I'm glad we found someone willing to do a non-religious ceremony. He will show up & sign the papers, which is all we really needed. -
