Expectations far exceeded!
We could not have been happier with our wedding at the Plimoth Patuxet Museum. We had the perfect June day with a ceremony in the stunning Hornblower Garden, followed by a beautiful and DELICIOUS reception in the Peabody Pavilion and tent. Service was impeccable and the food far exceeded our expectations. We literally could not ask for more! Thank you David Sheehy and team!!! -

Truly the best decision we made!
Having our wedding at Plimoth Patuxet was one of the best decisions we made. David was incredibly organized, responsive, and helpful—he answered all my (many!) questions promptly and made the entire planning process effortless.
The garden ceremony site was absolutely stunning and felt so private and intimate—it couldn’t have been more perfect. We’ve received countless compliments on the food, especially the beef short rib, which was a guest favorite!
We’re so grateful to David and his team for going above and beyond to make our day truly seamless and unforgettable.

Dream Wedding!
I can't say enough good things about the team at Plimoth Patuxet. David, Shauna, and the entire Plentiful Events staff were warm, positive, and professional from beginning to end. The Hornblower Garden is truly gorgeous--it feels like you are getting married in a secret garden. The team makes sure that everything runs smoothly and my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing! The value is also really good for the area. Our guests talked about how much they loved the food and ambiance. Would definitely recommend! -

David is the best!!
Our wedding at Plimoth Patuxet Museum was nothing short of amazing! The venue provided so many unique photo opportunities that captured the essence of New England history and beauty.
The staff at Plimoth Patuxet, in particular, David, were exceptional. They worked seamlessly with our vendors and ensured that everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They were also very accommodating with our requests and offered helpful suggestions that enhanced the day. The service team was friendly, professional, and truly made us feel like they cared about our experience.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the atmosphere and the unique setting. It felt intimate yet spacious, giving everyone room to mingle and explore. It was especially beautiful at sunset, with the warm, rustic vibe adding to the ambiance. The venues historical ambiance combined with modern amenities made it an ideal choice for us.
If you’re looking for a venue that offers both charm and character with professional service, I highly recommend Plimoth Patuxet Museum. It was a dream location for our special day! We wouldn’t have done it without David, and the rest of his staff! Thank you all!! -

Forever Grateful
Plimoth Patuxet Museum was the perfect venue for my daughter’s June wedding! The task of hosting a wedding can be daunting; however, David and his staff at Plentiful Catering were outstanding. From our initial visit to the wedding day, David was exceptional with his attention to every detail and service. His expertise and professionalism were superb. We felt at ease throughout the entire planning process. He answered all of our questions with patience and humor. Honestly, we would have been lost without him!
The reception was held at the Peabody Pavilion and it was simply beautiful. In addition to the hydrangeas being in full bloom and the view of the Eel River, guests enjoyed the choice of either joining the dance floor or sitting by the fireplace. The buffett choices were all outstanding. Many guests commented on how good the food was and how much they loved the venue. If you are looking to host a stress free wedding, with a beautiful view and delicious food, look no further than Plimoth Patuxet Museum. You and your guests will be delighted you did! -

Absolutely would recommend!!! The venue beautiful! Affordable! Food excellent!
David Sheehey and all his staff was very easy to work with. Responsive, patient, knowledgeable, pleasant and fun! He made suggestions to make things flow better, was not critical of any ideas, so positive! He provided options to maximize the guest experience while staying within budget constraints. The venue itself was gorgeous! We used the Peabody Pavilion and included the extra tulle and lights on the tent! David lit the patio fireplace which was perfect for photos! So many photo opportunities with the barn, the Hornblower garden, the Eel River in the background. The food was delicious and they were very flexible with guests with dietary restrictions. The outside vendors they recommended were also fantastic! I highly recommend this beautiful venue. -

Perfect from start to finish
Even from our first meeting with David, we knew this venue was perfect! He made us feel so at ease through the whole planning process and helped us create the perfect day.
On the day of the wedding, the staff was so unbelievably lovely and attentive to both my husband and I are our guests, serving up incredible food (best vegetarian option I have ever had, I’ve been trying to recreate that acorn squash dish for weeks!) and providing excellent service overall. Our attendant Tabitha was so good to us, bringing us apps during our cocktail hour photos and keeping our food warm while we finished pictures during dinner. We knew our wedding would be great just because the location was so beautiful, but the kindness of the staff brought it to a whole new level! Thank you! -

Staff was a pleasure to work with. Professional, knowledgeable, and experienced in setup, coordination and timing. My daughter's wedding was perfect in every way - every time I looked over she was beaming! The Event Coordinator, David, and his staff made sure that everything came together as we planned and envisioned. We had a stress-free day. It was truly perfect- we wouldn't have changed a thing!-

Best venue
The plimoth patuxet was by far the best venue we looked at during our venue hunt. The 2 venue areas they offer were absolutely stunning. The management staff at the facility were unmatched and carried the highest level of professionalism and kindness through our entire wedding planning process. David the sales manager was one of the best people we encountered during our wedding planning experience. This venue went above and beyond to lay out everything they offer and make your big day go off without a hitch. They have it down to a true science of planning and presenting the most beautiful venue possible. Every one of our guests was blown away with the beauty and ease the staff and venue provided. When shopping around for wedding venues we saw how easy it was for the price to rise. The package that the plimoth patuxet offers was by far the most “bang for your buck” and affordable. This venue deserves 10 stars for how amazing they were to work with and the beauty it has to offer.-

A big thanks to David and the Plimoth Patuxet Team!
My husband and I got married at Plimoth Patuxet on August 3 and we cannot thank David and his team enough for the seamless process and personable experience we had. David made this past 9 months of planning so streamlined for us, especially since we did most of the planning virtually as I am currently living in Canada. They partner with top line vendors in the area that know the space so well (shout out to Kevin, Ryan, DJMaggs, JN Floral Design, Berry Photos). Awesome team of people who all communicate professionally and clearly are passionate about what they do. I can actually say i am sad that the process is over, largely because of the partnerships we cultivated with the vendors. A special mention to David, our day of coordinate and the event coordinator at the venue. David is truly one of the most lovely people I have met. He is thorough, thoughtful, personable, professional, and he makes you feel like one of a kind. Thank you David for all that you do, the glowing reviews about him are all true- can confirm! -

Gorgeous setting with wonderful staff
David and his team made the wedding planning process as low stress as possible from start to finish. They ensured our wedding day went seamlessly and we truly felt like guests of honor. From helping us coordinate having our two dogs walk down the aisle to tracking us down during dinner to ensure we were able to eat, no task was too big or small. It is obvious they have done countless weddings and seen it all so it was easy to put our trust in them and they ensured we had a perfect day. Our guests complimented us on the gorgeous setting, great food, friendly bartenders, and excellent service all around. We are so appreciative of everyone at Plimouth Patuxet! Thank you for the best experience! -

Incredible Wedding Experience
We are so grateful to David and the whole Pilmouth Patuxet Museum team for bringing our dream to life. I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The venue is not only stunning on a beautiful day, but even on a rainy day such as ours, it was simply a vision. David was a dream to work with - he was helpful every step of the way from our walk through, to answering our questions along the way, doting on us at both the tasting and on the big day making sure we had food/drink, checking in on us and being a part of our celebration. I wish we could get married again just to work with him and spend time there. Look no further for a venue - this is the one! -

I Can't Recommend This Venue Enough!
This venue was in house which made everything so easy! I absolutely had the best experience working with David and his team! They made everything go so smoothly on the big day. I kept telling David he is now part of my family! He was amazing! Answered all my questions and pulled out all the stops for us! He checked in with us throughout the year and help lessen my anxiety. It rained on our day so our ceremony space was moved inside but not to worry David and his team had it covered. David, we love you! Thanks for everything you have done for us. We will forever be grateful.Plentiful Events at Plimoth Patuxet Museums's reply:

A Dream Come True
My husband and I had a micro wedding at Plymouth Patuxet in mid April and it was an absolute dream! From the first point of contact to several weeks later, David and the team made the process blissful. We were working with a tight timeline (late January to April) and we got so lucky to have find an open date. Even though, I was in Texas David was incredibly responsive and partner with us to bring our understated and elegant day to life. From a personalized dinner to a private toast following a ceremony - I could not imagine a more perfect day. the entire team was attentive and felt more like family by the end of the process. The venue was gorgeous and the furniture was elegant. The view from Gainsborough Hall was breathtaking and we had a beautiful early spring day. And the food - elegantly plated and mouthwatering.
However, the magic of the day was in the details. The staff at Plimoth Patuxet knew what we needed before we did. No detail was overlooked and I never felt rushed. They were all supportive and I wish I could relive the day over and over.
I cannot say enough good things about a David and his team. So I will end with this: if you are fortunate enough to fine an opening at Plimoth Patuxet, jump on it! You will not be disappointed.
Thank you David for giving us the day of our dreams!-

Dream Wedding Come True!
I cannot begin to say enough about Plentiful Catering and Plimoth Patuxet staff! They really did make our dream wedding come true. David was beyond amazing and he was there every step of the way in the planning process, he was always available to help with anything we needed and never made us feel like we were a bother to him. No question was ever too small and he made sure the day went perfectly, we can't imagine what the day would have been like without him! The Hornblower Garden in September was an absolute fairytale for the ceremony and the Gainsborough Hall was the perfect intimate reception site, we were lucky enough to not have rain day of but they were well prepared if we needed to quickly switch the ceremony to an indoor setting. We received compliments for weeks following the wedding about how delicious the food was as well, we chose the stations options and there was such a variety that everyone was pleased. They were also very accommodating with our guests who had food allergies. They were budget friendly compared to most venues we viewed, especially with how much they have to offer. If we could do it all over again we would pick them a thousand times over! -

We couldn't recommend Plimoth Patuxet and Plentiful Catering enough!
We just had our wedding in the Pavilion in October '22 and everything was amazing. David and the team were wonderful to work with through the whole process from the early planning stages through our perfect wedding day. The grounds are beautiful, the food was amazing, and the event was run flawlessly. We had so much fun and were able to relax because everyone worked so hard in the background to make everything go so smoothly. I couldn't recommend this venue enough.Plentiful Events at Plimoth Patuxet Museums's reply:

Outstanding
We got married at the Plymouth Patuxet on 9/23/22. This was a dream location for us since we are from the area! We have always wanted to get married here as it is special and unique location offering excellent wedding packages, view, food and service. Most of our friends from Plymouth have gotten married here as well and it truly stands up to its great reputation. David the event coordinator is extremely personable, responsible and makes sure every detail is covered. He has great ideas that worked well with our vision because he is so familiar and experienced with the venue. Our wedding day was a little chilly, but guests were warm because he made sure the site was prepared for that beforehand. Guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and the stations packaged allowed everyone what they wanted and unlimited amounts. Uplighting and tent are newly renovated. The fireplace area is beautiful to take pictures with guests and enjoy cocktail hour. We did all of our photos on site as well to take advantage of the photo ops with the barn and backdrop of ocean views. Overall an amazing unforgettable experience! Not one complaint!Plentiful Events at Plimoth Patuxet Museums's reply:

A perfect day with a perfect venue
Plimoth patuxket was an absolute dream of a venue. We wanted to do something small, but after doing the usual run through of invites and talking to family we had to go big or go home. With that, came a need to find a partner in our venue to take the pressure off finding every single detail. David and the team made sure we had all of our needs met and let us focus on the big day. As a couple with some more theatrical requirements than most, they let us play with their standard routine and made for a night that so many of our guests have said was a PERFECT wedding. From the food to the staff (Shout out to Diane!) we were always taken care of and with everything under the venue umbrella taken care of, we got to be present during every moment. All this and the place is absolutely GORGEOUS, we had perfect weather for mid October and getting to be outside for the ceremony and dance the night away in the pavillion made for a truly unique experiencing a lot of venues could never have delivered. Would recommend them 100 times over and have done so already to some close friends and family. Thank you for making our day absolutely PERFECT!!! -

Perfect Day!
We had our wedding at Plimouth-Patuxet this past August at the Peabody Pavilion. It was truly perfect! The views by the river and the Pavilion are gorgeous, especially at sunset and our guests really loved sitting by the outdoor fireplace once it got dark. David Sheehy is the event coordinator and he was extremely attentive and was always available to answer all of our questions. The wedding day went so smoothly, which was do in large part to David's attention to detail. For example, David suggested moving our ceremony arch behind our head table after the ceremony, which was a great idea nd really added to the space. The food and drinks were great. We are still getting compliments on them from our guests. We did the stations and my favorite was the harvest pork, but the Italian station was also great. Our guests really liked the mushroom ravioli in particular. For everything we got (food, venue, linens, day-off coordination, etc.) the price was very reasonable. I would recommend Plimoth-Patuxet to any couple looking for an outdoor or rustic wedding without hesitation.Plentiful Events at Plimoth Patuxet Museums's reply:

A beautiful hidden gem! Highly Recommend!!
I got married at Plimoth Plantation on October 30th and cannot say enough amazing things about this venue and the staff. First, Massachusetts had a Nor'easter three days before my wedding that blew out the power in many towns across the state including Plymouth. Needless to say I was very stressed and nervous that my wedding could not happen since the venue had no power. Thursday night before my wedding I get a call from David, who is truly amazing, letting me know everything can go on as planned and that they rented a generator. I honestly cannot say enough about David and the rest of the staff (Liz, Erin, Anna, Julie, Kimberly etc.) They ALL went above an beyond and offered 5 star service to me and my guests. David is the type of wedding coordinator you dream about for your wedding. When I first met him I knew I was in good hands. I say that this is a beautiful hidden gem because it truly is. The staff, the beautiful venue, the affordableness; it is everything you want in a wedding and more. I highly recommend if you are in search of a venue in the South Shore. You will not be disappointed, especially if you are one of the lucky ones to have David work your wedding. Thank you all for an incredible evening! It is definitely one to remember!!Plentiful Events at Plimoth Patuxet Museums's reply:

Best kept secret
If you are thinking about booking your wedding here...DO IT! Truly the best kept secret on the South Shore. First off, the venue itself is STUNNING. My husband and I got married in the garden with our reception in the Pavilion. So beautiful and you really do not need to do much to the ceremony space to make it look like a wedding. The Pavilion has beautiful views, gorgeous flowers and the stunning fireplace was the perfect addition. I kept looking around on my wedding night thinking wow this is so beautiful. The staff is incredible. Before the wedding they kept us well in the loop with every update from the governor. I had friends get screwed during COVID but the staff at Plimoth Plantation was great to work with and were even more lenient with the contract in our favor. We ere so lucky to have David as our wedding coordinator and he was AMAZING! Great at coordinating all the details and making sure that everything runs smoothly. He was even ready to step in as our officiant when ours was running late. He went above and beyond always making sure ourselves and our families had a drink and were doing okay. He even came over with blue cheese for us after one of the speeches talked about how much we love blue cheese as a couple. It was all the small details that made such a big difference. I cannot say enough good things about David and the rest of the staff. They even danced with us at the end of the night! The food is AMAZING. We got so many compliments about the food starting with the appetizers, entrees and late night pizza. Overall our guests were very impressed and many people said the best wedding they have been too. One guest even said this was better than the Castle Hill wedding they had just went to. So happy with our experience here. The best part is you can take your kids here in the future. It will always be there-

Perfect Wedding
My daughter had her vow renewal and reception at the Plimoth Plantation on July 31, 2021. Originally scheduled for June 2020, Covid changed our plans. Through all of the changes, the staff stepped up and were so helpful and supportive. The venue is beautiful. The ceremony was at the Peabody Pavilion, right on the water with a beautiful tent and stone fireplace patio.
We had several folks help us out (Liz and Erin in the office were there for all my daughters questions and were responsive, friendly and put us at ease). Our day of coordinator, David Sheehy, was nothing short of amazing. He was there for us from the rehearsal right until the end of the event. There were several wardrobe malfunctions (including the brides bustle button falling off, David was there and on his knees fixing it in a flash). He was also the king of dealing with the sassy bridesmaids in our group (they loved him as well).
All of the staff, bartenders, waitstaff (and the Pilgrims who joined us for cocktail hour - Suzanna Winslow and John Bradford) were incredible. I wish I got all the names, but Julie and Michael (servers) were standouts for me and my family. We had such a good time with them and they were amazing. One of the bartenders (I think known as Moose) who's name I forgot, had my drink down after the first one and made sure I never waited in line the entire night. They made excellent drinks and our family and friends were so impressed.
The food was outstanding from the cheese display and appetizers to the main course and cake, I've had several people tell me it was the best wedding dinner they ever had. We also had the late night snack (pretzels with dipping sauces and hot beer cheese - delicious). I would highly recommend the Plimoth plantation - we did shop other venues, you won't find a better deal or better people to make your special day amazing.-

Rehearsal Dinner at Plimoth Plantation
We had to reschedule the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding and Plimoth Plantation came to the rescue! We held our event at the Craft Pavilion with a view of Cape Cod Bay and the Pilgrim Village. The food was top notch delish and the staff was gracious and wonderful. The Event Coordinator, Liz, was very accommodating and simply lovely. I recommend this private and lovely venue for any event. The Craft Pavillion is perfect for a small casual wedding reception or any type of party/celebration event. We had a formal dinner for 30 followed by a casual drinks and deserts event for another 30 out of town guests and the size of the venue was just perfect - no crowding at all. We were able to set up cornhole boards for late evening entertainment. You can't go wrong having any event here or anywhere on the Plimoth Plantation property. -

I truly dont know why anyone gets married anywhere else. Not only was PP super easy to work with, but the location was beyond breathtaking. They made the process so easy and accommodated our every need. The chef even created a vegan menu for us which was INCREDIBLE. Liz, Diane, and everyone else- you were amazing.-

Such a dream!
My husband and I are soooo happy we went with Plimoth Plantation. We got married Sept 21, 2019. We lucked out and had perfect weather, and David, the most perfect wedding coordinator! We feel so blessed we got to have the experience we did at PP. Our ceremony was in the garden and the reception was in the Pavillon. Everyone raved that it was one of the best weddings they've been too - the food, the venue with the outdoor patio space - everything just tied together so well. Don't spend time looking all over - book here!!! Thank you SO much David!! -

So beautiful!
We got married on the river view next to the Peabody Pavilion at Plimoth Plantation, and it was absolutely gorgeous! The venue is perfect if you're looking for a venue with both outdoor & indoor options. Not only was the venue amazing, but so was our coordinator, David. He was so attentive throughout the whole process, and truly made our big day perfect. We couldn't have asked for anything better! -

Best venue on the South Shore!!
Plimoth Plantation is hands down the best venue in New England. I cannot rave enough about how incredible everything was; I was planning our wedding from out of state and found the process and communication to be amazing. Diane was so great answering any and all questions that I had during the booking process and any silly detail questions leading up to the date. David was incredible to work with; from intro phone calls, rehearsal planning and all of the day of details David and his staff were on top of it!! The food was out of this world; everyone has been raving about it since our wedding, the late night ice cream cart was so worth the investment our guests were beyond impressed. I work for a wedding venue in Savannah, GA and can honestly say that the Plimoth Plantation wedding packages are some of the best that I have seen during my 5+ years in the industry. I seriously hope that I have a friend or relative have a wedding here so I get to attend one as a guest; there is not a single thing that I would change. Diane, David and all of the servers are truly such a great team, you will not regret trusting them with you wedding day!Plentiful Events at Plimoth Patuxet Museums's reply:

What a Day!
I don't even know where to begin....everything was wonderful! From the location to the food to the staff- nothing was short of perfect. David was our day of coordinator and a superhero. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to be married outside, but David executed our back up plan flawlessly. He made the entire night run smoothly. Our guests are still talking about how great of a venue it was and the best wedding they've ever been to (and we got married a month and a half ago!). I highly recommend Plimoth Plantation to anyone looking for the perfect day. It made us want to get married again just so we have an excuse to have another party there! -

4/2019 Wedding- Peabody Pavilion
Peabody Pavilion hosted 165 guests for our wedding.
David was a wonderful event manager during the 2 weeks leading up to our day, and on the evening-of. He put me at ease, took some of my planning load, and made sure I had checked all of my boxes. He is a professional. Our celebration was wonderful, thanks in big part to him.
The venue itself was excellent for our family and friends. The tent, with 18 round tables (about 10 guests at each) did not feel crowded. Our entertainment had plenty of space to set up in the building with bar and dance space. Also, plenty of room. The outdoor patio area was picture perfect with a seating area and roaring fire. The view of the bay, very pretty.
Cocktail hour and dinner service was wonderful, The food came out quick, hot, and delicious. Drinks were plentiful. Service was very good. Cake by the plantation partner, Veronica's Sweetcakes, was beyond delicious.
The grounds and building were clean and comfortable.
Plimoth Plantation offered us an exceptional value and gave us a fairy-tale evening. -

Best day of my life
Plimoth Plantation was a delight to work with. The people are wonderful, the grounds are gorgeous and the food was fabulous. My family and friends had a top notch time at our October wedding. I, as the bride, did not have to worry about anything. The staff made this day that I had planned for and toiled over for 10 months the easiest day of my life. I worked with Deb, Erin and my day-of coordinator (who's name I cannot remember right now) took all the stress out of this whole experience. BOOK THIS PLACE -

Absolute perfection
Exceeded expectations beyond belief!! The husband had to convince me to look here and it was the BEST decision we ever made! It was so fun hearing our family and friends say how they can’t believe their old field trip destination is this hidden gem! From start to finish Plimoth was a dream to work with. To start you can’t beat their food and beverage package, coupled with their absolutely stunning backdrops for ceremonies—which are hard to choose from because both are gorgeous—and the Peabody Pavilion reception space. Diane and your day of coordinator (shoutout to Alex!) make sure you are absolutely stress free leading up to the day! The group food tasting/Q&A were amazing and took the guesswork out of planning, I highly recommend attending to save yourself several emails:) The food is delicious, the bar beverage options are endless, and the bride and groom don’t have to lift a finger the day of—Alex took phenomenal care of us and made sure we stayed on track with the evening agenda. It was the PERFECT summer evening, cigar bar, fireplace, dancing and all. We can’t recommend it enough!! Thank you Plimoth for an unforgettable experience! -

I can't say enough wonderful things about Plimoth Plantation's wedding venue. Our wedding was on June 29, 2018, with the ceremony in Hornblower's Garden and the reception at the Peabody Pavilion. The garden is really like a secret garden. It was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. Erin, the ceremony coordinator, was great to work with. She got everyone organized and in-line and was super helpful. The renovations made to the Peabody Pavilion are gorgeous. We booked the site for the view of the river and ocean and the upgrades are outstanding (making it even more beautiful, which we didn't think was possible). David, the day of coordinator, was a major help. He made sure we ate (the food was delicious), always had a drink in our hand, and checked in every so often. All of our guests loved the food and the view. -

We had a dream wedding at Plimoth Plantation. It exceeded our expectations in beauty, service and value. We had our ceremony in the Hornblower Garden in July, and it was absolutely stunning; like an enchanted forest. The photos came out stunning. As for the service; everyone we dealt with was fantastic -- especially Diane and Erin. Thank you for making our decision so smooth! They were so organized and guided us every step of the way. Our guests raved about the garden and Gainsborough Hall, where we had our reception. The food, in particular, was outstanding. We are still getting compliments (we had the swordfish and the beef). Oh, and we 'rented' two pilgrims to socialize in-character during the cocktail hour. So fun! We are so grateful we could get married here, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a New England wedding!-

The team at Plimoth Plantation was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Diane kept in touch with us from the minute we booked the venue and David, our day of coordinator, really brought it home. He made sure to keep in touch with all of our vendors and made us feel at ease days before our wedding. On the day of, David made sure we ate and catered to our every need as the night went on. Even our guests are still saying what a pleasure it was to have him join us! Our guests also raved about the appetizers (get the stuffed mushrooms!) and main dishes served at the wedding. The venue itself is just beautiful with a timeless view of the Eel River and ocean just beyond it. 5 stars all around! Wish we could do it all again!Plentiful Events at Plimoth Patuxet Museums's reply:

Plimoth Plantation was the perfect venue! My husband and I had looked a bunch of other places and nothing else compared. It was rustic yet elegant. We got married in the Hornblower Garden and it was the perfect backdrop. We felt like we were in some secret garden. We took pictures in one of the villages, which was super cool and fun! We played games on the lawn and overlooked the beautiful water. It was perfect. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We had such an easy time working with everyone there. Diane helped us put everything together, David helped coordinate our reception and made it run so smoothly, and Liz helped make our ceremony perfect. Planned wedding from west coast but Diane was responsive and helped so much with every detail along the way. From general questions early on to final details leading up to our wedding, Diane and Erin were on their toes. Diane helped alot with setting up AV services. AV services were hard to contact and get answers from but she helped that come through and was gracious about extra charges they normally charge for booking AV services because of the long communication delays we experienced with the AV vendor!
Erin helped with reception details and made sure the reception ran smoothly during the evening! -

I cannot begin to explain how amazing my wedding day was at Plimoth Plantation. The entire venue is gorgeous. The Pavilion overlooks the water and the Garden is a stunning ceremony site. The food was awesome!! I was told by almost everyone that it was the best food they have had! Lobster mac and cheese was to die for. And on top of all that, the staff was so great. They treated the guests so well and were always there with anything we needed (scissors last minute, a sewing kit, any appetizer I hadn't tried yet, a drink whenever mine was empty!). I would reccomend this place to everyone! -

We recently had my daughters wedding at Plimoth plantation and I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. The staff was absolutely professional, courteous, and helpful. The food was out of this world and very high end at a reasonable cost. The ceremony was at Hornblower Gardens onsite and was so very enchanting and like a fantasy. The reception was held at the Pavillion onsite and comfortably hled 180 guests. The tent overlooks the field , river and ocean and was so scenic and charming. From the beginning stages of wedding planning to the very end was impeccable. -

I recently had my wedding at the Plimoth Plantation in the Pavilion overlooking the Eel River and Plymouth Harbor. From the first time I visited the Plantation and met with Diane, I knew that this would be the perfect venue for my husband and I. The Pavilion has the perfect feel of New England and the beautiful ocean view. Diane was amazing to work with and extremely responsive to all of our questions and guided us through the entire process. When the day of my wedding came, we were all very calm and confident in how the reception would go.
Our event coordinators Erin and Joseph knew every single detail of the day and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The food was amazing and all of our guests commented that it was some of the best food they had eaten at a wedding. The servers were very professional and polite. The view was beautiful and the staff at the Plantation set up our decorations exactly how we imagined. I cannot thank Diane, Erin, Joseph and the rest of the staff that were part of our wedding enough for making our day so wonderful and amazing. -

My daughter recently had her reception at the Plimoth Plantation Pavilion. From the time we signed the contract with Diane Cox until the end of the reception, everything was managed in a professional, caring manner. Any time we had a question or concern, Diane was very easy going and always put us at ease. She was very easy to work with. The staff set up our decorations in an amazing way. I was so surprised when I walked into the Pavilion and tent that evening to see how they had set everything up. The Hornblower garden where we had pictures taken was in full bloom and beautiful. Our event coordinator for the evening, Erin, and Joseph, were in contact with us throughout the evening to let us know what was going on and to see if we needed anything. The food was excellent. We had many friends comment on the food and that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. -

The food was stupendous - many of our guests commented on the food and the beautiful venue by the ocean. Our event Planner Erin and organizer Dianne were very responsive and attentive. The wedding was perfect! We would highly recommend Plimoth Plantation as a wedding venue for anyone. Debs and Dotty -

My daughter was just married at the Plimoth Plantation. The marriage ceremony was held in the Hornblower Garden and the reception was in the pavillion down by the Eel River. The whole event was extraordinary. The garden site was magical. The folks that put together the seating and garden care truly did care about this most important event of a life time. The people at the Plantation really get that.
The Creative Gourmet people were patient, caring and flexible. They understand the pressures, confusions and anxiety of this event and the crazy mother's and brides.I appreciate their guidance and calmness they posses.
The whole team from the folks that take care of the gardens to the team at Creative Gourmet made this the most precious moment of my life. Words can never express how beautiful a event they put together. They created magic.
Thank you everybody there. -

On May 23, my husband and I were married in a private ceremony in Negril, Jamaica. We wanted to come home to MA and celebrate with our family and friends. We chose the Peabody Pavilion at the Plimoth Plantation to have our reception on July 31, 2010- site unseen. Living in Texas and doing all the preparation online via email and on the phone was so easy! Diane Cox and Amy Eufrazio made everything seamless- from the food, the bar, the equipment, to the floral/band/cake recommendations... We never second guessed our decision!
The only thing I have to say it that the pictures on the website do not do it justice! When we arrived, we realized just how beautiful the venue and property truly is!!! The room was a gorgeous indoor pavillion and an outdoor tent along a beautiful river. It was breathtaking. Parking was right outside the door and the bathrooms were within the facility itself.
The event staff was unbelievable- catering to our every need/whim. They set up the tables/decorations with minimal explanations needed. They were always making sure we were okay and enjoying ourselves. They were flexible when we wanted to push dinner back a little to ensure all our guests had arrived.... They exceeded ALL of our expectations and I would refer the facility and staff in a heartbeat!!!
Food at weddings is generally decent- but the food during the event was amazing. All the guests kept raving about how great it was- how the meat and fish melted in your mouth like butter. We chose dinner stations rather than a sit down meal-and I would DEFINITELY recommend the food. Some guests mentioned following around the appetizer servers to ensure they could eat more appetizers! It was really comforting to know the guests were so happy (and well fed)!
I can honestly say that I would NOT change a thing- the venue, the staff, the service, the view, the food and the overall value was perfect! July 31, 2010 is a night we will never forget. Thank you Plimoth Plantation and Creative Gourmet for sharing in our once in a lifetime memories!!! -

I have to say that to this day we still receive compliments about the amazing food that was enjoyed at our wedding. We choose the Presidential Package for our event. Our meal choice was the Filet w/Scallop Bernaise Sauce, Pecan Encrusted Chicken w/Maple Cream Sauce and the Roquefort Potato. The food was absolutely amazing. The function room is stunning at night. It's a simple elegance with the hard wood floors and wrought iron fixtures. We upgraded to chocolate brown satin linen overlays and it was beautiful. Diane Cox is a joy to work with and very accomodating. The grounds are beautiful. Our guests had many compliments. -

I absolutely recommend Plimouth Plantation as a venue for your wedding. It seemed like an odd place at first since the last time I had been there was on a 6th grade field trip but I have to say, everything was of extremely high quality. The food was sensational, the decor - gorgeous and the help was incredible. A+++++ -

I just got married at Plimoth Plantation on 8/28/15, and I can't say enough amazing things about this venue. We were married in Hornblower garden, and had the reception at Peabody Pavilion. It was absolutely beautiful; everything I dreamed of and more! There are so many amazing things to be said about this venue. Diane, Karlene and the entire team at Plimoth Plantation are second to none. They're sweet, responsive, professional, and overall amazing. They are always ready and happy to help every step of the way - they even provided emotional support! I can't tell you how meaningful it was to get personal emails from Karlene and Diane with some of the kindest words I had received during the wedding planning process. They really eased my mind and made me feel like everything would go off without a hitch - and that it did! This venue is absolutely beautiful, and at a very fair price. Our guests were completely blown away; I've received so many compliments on how stunning it was. Overall this venue has it all - it's absolutely beautiful, fairly priced, and the staff make the entire process even better. Do yourself a favor and visit Plimoth Plantation before you make your final venue choice. In my opinion, the photos simply don't do this venue justice! Take it from a very happy Bride :) -

Plimoth Plantation was the perfect venue for our fall wedding. At first, I wasn't sure about booking at Plimoth Plantation, the place every kid goes for a field trip to see how the Pilgrims and Indians lived in 1600. If you have this same doubt you need to give the place a chance. We looked at the location in January, it was not set up, but I could tell this was the perfect spot for us. It is separate from all the historical "stuff", and it’s beautiful. We held our ceremony and reception in the pavilion area. The pavilion had a grassy area and looks out to the Eel River; you can also see Plymouth Bay off in the distance, perfect for photos! All the staff we dealt with were so nice and professional. Diane Cox in the office was always there to answer any questions I had and Erin Allard made sure my day went off without a hitch. Oh, and another important factor, the food, it was AMAZING. People could not stop commenting on how good it was. I loved every moment of my wedding at Plimoth Plantation and I am so glad we had our wedding there. -

Plimoth Plantation is such a gem for weddings. Diane Cox is extremely easy to work with, and she was willing to work with the both of us. They held a wedding tasting for all the summer weddings and it was very helpful and delicious! We had chicken francesce and filet mignon and everything was cooked perfectly. Apparently, the baked brie and cranberry was amazing according to some of my guests. The crab cakes were to die for! They have their own chef, and the meals are very affordable. The packages include open bar, which was a huge money saver. Erin was our event manager the day of, and she was so easy to work with. All the staff made sure we were completely taken care of.
We got married in the Hornblower Garden, which is absolutely beautiful. Like a secret garden. We had the reception underneath the tent/pavilion along the water. It was great. We also had a brunch the day after, and the food was amazing, especially the french toast casserole. It was a great experience all in all. -

Absolutely amazing
Where do I even begin!? Our wedding At Plimoth Plantation was nothing short of perfect. We had a River View ceremony with our reception in the Peabody Pavilion. The grounds where absolutely gorgeous. With the pavilion, tent and outdoor fire place area, there was so much space for our guests to enjoy. Our coordinator was David. He went above and beyond to make our evening special. He was always at the right place at the right time. We felt very confident with his services. (Our rehearsal dinner was also held at Plimoth Plantation, which was another perfect evening that David helped us with.) When our food came to our table David came to us to let us know and urged us to sit and enjoy, and boy did we. The food at Plimoth Plantation is absolutely delicious- my husband and I received many compliments throughout the night from our guests. Some guests even said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding! My husband and I would have to agree! I don’t have one negative thing to say about our experience! Diane Cox, the event coordinator is very informative and prompt when answering emails. -

Our guests are still ranting and raving!
Plimoth Plantation checked off all of our boxes when it came to the perfect wedding venue! We lucked out with a beautiful day so we were able to have our ceremony in the Hornblower Garden. I recommend the bride come down from the hidden staircase, it was an added bonus to be able to watch my guests enjoy themselves and see the procession while no one knew I was up there, a grand entrance for sure! The venue could benefit from having some more signs to direct people as a handful of our guests had problems finding exactly where to go, its a hidden gem in more ways than one! Our reception was held in the Peabody Pavilion which was also gorgeous and added a whole new atmosphere. They recently built a stone patio and fire pit are that extends from the pavilion towards the water, my guests immediately flocked there after dinner. It was beautiful. The venue is multi-dynamic in that your guests can enjoy themselves out on the dance floor or hang by the fire pit to enjoy or hang by some of the conversation tables that were scattered along to be a part of all the action, there was truly something for everyone. The food was amazing and the bartenders kept up with the demand of 170 guests with ease.
We were shocked with how reasonable to price was too! All of their packages were inclusive meaning that you didn't have to worry about hidden costs and they all even included open bar! This was important to us because my husband and I both knew if open bar wasn't included we would probably add it on in the end and then have to adjust out budget. We worked with David and he was great, he made sure that the fire was going all night, that we stayed on schedule, and the night went on without a glitch!
My only warning would be to couples to not get too anxious with the venue planning timeline. Once you book the venue you really don't have much communication with them until right before the wedding, like a week or two out. They're responsive if you have any questions but this is something they do all the time so trust in that but I did find myself a little stressed not having much information until it was almost 'go time'. I would also say they could expand more on their food tasting. They only have one food tasting a year for all of the couples. There were plenty of appetizers and sides to try however there was only one beef, one chicken, one seafood, pork, and vegetarian to try which made it tough to decide which chicken or what not to choose when you had nothing of them same to compare it to. I have been to other food tastings with friends and definitely see some room for improvement there.
All in all I would recommend Plimoth Plantation 10 times out of 10. It sounds cliche but we still have guests coming up to us and saying that our wedding was the best they had ever been to and that is thanks to the staff!Plentiful Events at Plimoth Patuxet Museums's reply:

I contacted PP in April of 2017 to book an August wedding in 2018, They were already completely booked for Saturday weddings which speaks for itself. I decided to use the venue for my daughters bridal shower and I'm so happy we did. It was a beautiful spring day. We looked and booked the venue in November of 2017. I found the initial coordinator I worked with to be vague in the emails. I would shoot a few questions and only 1 would get answered then I would have to resend. She told me she would answer and finalize everything close to the date. I sent an email out to her 2 weeks prior to the event which came back to me stating she was on vacation. Her return to work day was 4 days prior to our event. I had a serious of things that needed to be address 2 weeks out. The contact person she gave me in her email, came back as an email demon. This was on a Friday Holiday WE which really was upsetting to me with no knowledge of any of this. I called on Tuesday and spoke to Liz who answered ALL of my questions. She was wonderful and instantly restored my faith in PP. Tracy and Erin were also amazing and so easy to communicate with. I have to give extra stars to David the day of coordinator and wait staff. He was so accommodating!!!! I was so nervous and he picked up on it and was so helpful. PP met my expectations and beyond. I had no idea the beautiful lights would be up and on and, or all of the recent remodeling with all the plantings, fire pit and patios. The food was hot and excellent with gorgeous presentation. The guests raved about everything, some even said it was like a wedding! Thank you Plimoth Plantation for making my daughters bridal shower beyond AMAZING!!! -

Plimoth Plantation is a hidden gem. My husband and I wanted something on the water but couldn't find a venue in the high summer months on the south shore. We came across Plimoth Plantation and knew instantly we wanted to be married here. The garden is stunning and very romantic. The tent sits right on the water, organically beautiful. The staff is wonderful and the food is unreal. We had the most amazing wedding and could not have visioned it elsewhere. Thank you Plimoth Plantation for creating our dreams! -

I am so happy we picked Plimoth Plantation as our venue. The Plantation is such a unique and beautiful place to have your ceremony and reception. The food was fantastic. All of our guests raved about the dinner and drinks. Not only was the food delicious, they gave large portions.
Our ceremony was originally supposed to be in the Hornblower Garden. But due to rain concerns, we moved the ceremony to the lawn along the Eel River. The last minute change was handled very easily by our event manager, Erin. Our reception was located in the Peabody Pavilion which is a gorgeous spot overlooking where the ceremony was. The reception was wonderful, and the staff were always attentive and kind. Erin was great in managing the reception and handling all questions and vendors. I would recommend the Plantation to anyone looking for a beautiful spot to get married. The value for what you pay was unbeatable in all venue's that we looked at. -

Loved this venue!
We got married on the river and had our reception at the peabody pavilion. We loved the rustic vibe but with the ocean and water views; the flowers and landscaping was also amazing. The food was 10/10! We are so appreciative of all the hard work that went into this wedding, especially with the constant changes that occurred during the planning process due to covid. Thanks to the team there for all their work - 10/10 recommend! -

The food was wonderful! This is all our guests talked about after the wedding! We had our reception here and our guests had the chowder bar, shrimp cocktail, and shrimp wrapped in bacon, (we missed it because we were off getting pictures take), but heard it was great! We made it back in time for the main course. We had a station set-up of lobster macaroni, chicken and roast beef. My favorite was the lobster macaroni, it just melted in your mouth! We had our ceremony onsite at the garden and we used the pavillion and tent area for the reception. The only one downside was some little beetle type bugs that came out after dark. It caused some of our guest to leave early. Besides that, the day was perfect with a nice cool breeze from the water. We couldn't have asked for a more better day. -

We were SO happy with this venue. It was just simply the perfect day. We were married in the garden and had our reception in the pavilion. Friends and family are still talking about how magical the whole place was. We had Karlene as our day of coordinator, and she was fabulous. They were very very attendive to us, I was never without a drink and I had a personal attendant (!) who was right there to answer my question or address something before I could even get the sentence out. My only complaint and reason for not giving this wonderful place 5 stars was the planning process. They have a strange set up where you are only allowed to speak with the general catering manager until about a month or 2 before the wedding, so none of your particulars get addressed until that point which was nerve racking. Our day of coordinator was very flexible but I cant say that as freely about the general catering manager. That small frustration was WELL worth this place however, and the best part, it was by far the most reasonably priced venue. We went there, fell in love and were so happy that it was also our best option financially. I HIGHLY recommend this place. IF you are bride that is very particular and expects to have every need catered too, maybe not the best option for you... otherwise, we HIGHLY recommend. oh and the food was amazing, guests raved about the food! -

We got married in the Hornblower Garden and had our reception in the Accomack Room. Though it was too early in the spring for a full-bloom garden, the landscaping was fresh and beautiful for our day, bright and green, with fresh flowers beginning to bud. Chairs were provided and set up, though any extra decoration was our responsibility. Our reception in the Accomack room was wonderful -- it was the perfect size for a group of >50. The staff helped with some decorating, though we had a big group of family/friends who "took over" on the more time-consuming stuff (lights, centerpieces) earlier in the day. Amy, our coordinator, checked with us a couple of times during the night to see if we needed anything, but otherwise the staff was unobtrusive and on top of things. Creative Gourmet did a great job with the food -- I've heard horror stories -- and been to weddings myself -- where the dinner is merely "okay" or downright awful -- NOT SO at plimoth! Our meals were served piping hot and done to perfection. We, and our guests, had a great time that night and a big part of that was the setting and friendly staff at Plimoth. ALSO weddings in and around Boston, MA can be pricey and finding a nice place can be difficult -- Plimoth Plantation is *very* reasonable and we had no problem booking our date! (our approximate price listed included the meal, dessert and cake cutting, reception hall, garden, dance floor that had to be brought in separately, linens, and an open bar). -

Plimoth Plantation was a very nice place to have our wedding ceremony. We had it under a tent overlooking the ocean. It was a beautiful day. However, I was very disappointed in the responsiveness I received from the sales staff at Creative Gourmet. They never made any attempt to contact me to start the planning process. I had to hunt them down. It seemed like they would never return my calls/emails. Though, I do have to say that the banquet manager did a great job. When we met with her, she really eased our concerns and made our day very nice. Plimoth Plantation was nice, in that, they were very flexible with our menu choices. We wanted to have somewhat casual food, and they made it possible for us. We had a great time! -

Needs improvement
Although my wedding day was the most special, and wonderful day for me. There are some things that happened with Plimoth Plantation that I was not impressed with. The facility is beautiful. They were wonderful to start with. They answered all my emails and questions, it was great. We finally get to meet our coordinator, with plenty of time before the wedding. A little over a week before the wedding my coordinator told me she was scheduled for another event that night and had to re-assign me another coordinator. I was not an over the top bride, my details were minor, but I was still uncomfortable with this because I had not met this person, she was not an on-staff coordinator for Plimoth Plantation. I expressed my concerns, and we scheduled a meet and greet . I wanted to know the face of the person I should be looking for at the wedding. I went to the meet and greet, and the person couldn't be there, she had a knee injury. Now, I'm concerned - is she going to be okay for the wedding? Why wasn't I made aware of this before I came here for the meeting? We did a conference call, and everything seemed OK. She was nice over the phone. Then we get to the ceremony. My transportation ran late, so my 5pm start time ended up being around 5:15p. My Ceremony was exactly 9 minutes long, and we immediately started taking our pictures in the garden. So my allotted ceremony time was 30 minutes - 5pm-530pm, cocktail hour 530-630 . We started taking our pictures , and then at about six pm another family came into the garden. I had someone ask why they were there, and they had a six pm scheduled rehearsal. On my wedding night. I tried to move on and ignore the fact, because I technically paid for the garden until 630. The family is hovering, making me feel very awkward, then a woman came up to me told me to hurry up with my pictures because they were losing daylight.. I'm appalled at this point, trying to stay positive, but feeling so discourage I ended up leaving the garden and stopped taking pictures. I tried to tell the coordinator for my ceremony how upset I was about it, and she blamed it on me being late. Which 1. wasn't my fault, and 2. not even true, with my ceremony being 8/9 minutes long. I look at my pictures now, and I can just see where my frustration started, and I can see that I did not get as many as I wanted with my husband. Although my day was obviously the best day of my life, I did not feel like a priority to this venue. When we tried to tell them how we felt, the apology was insincere and felt like my problems were almost swept under the rug. I hope that something like this does not happen to someone else on the most important day of their life. -
