karen's work made our photos look absolutely amazing! we were all very pleased with her work. i definitely recommend covergirl brides!

Karen is a hair & makeup magician!! She did the hair and makeup of myself, my 5 bridesmaids, my mother and helped to tame one of my flower girls crazy hair and everyone looked amazing! I had a beach wedding and she was able to keep my curly hair under control in the high humidity. We received numerous compliments from total strangers as we were walking around and we photographed beautifully. A HUGE PLUS is that Karen came to us. We were able to wake up and relax in the comfort of our suite while getting ready. This is so much better then piling into a car to have to go to a salon. Although your dress is what everyone notices first, your hair and makeup is like the cake topper and finishes off the look. Karen did an awesome job and I would recommend her to anyone in the area!!

I was not happy with this vendor due to a variety of reasons - lack of communication, punctuality, and overall service.

Terrible! I'm not sure why Karen has so many positive reviews. She double booked my wedding with another one. She showed up more than 30 minutes early to try and have us done before she had to attend another bridal session (and I asked her if I was the only bride when I booked and she said I would be). Because she was in a hurry, my bridesmaids and I were ready really early and had to wait around all day not messing up our 'dos.
My mom got her makeup done and they didn't listen to her at all about what she wanted. It looked terrible, so my mom took another shower and re-did her own look (which was a LOT better... she looked tired before). My bridesmaids hair could have been done better. The girl and guy she brought with her to do hair didn't have suggestions that would look good or any pictures or anything. I was expecting someone who does hair for a living to have an idea of what would look good with certain hair types and what wouldn't.
The prices seemed high as well. She just used MAC makeup and even asked us to bring our own mascara and lipstick. I felt like I could have bought the same makup and done a similar job.

Karen was AWESOME!!! I could not have been happier with my choice of Cover Girl Brides for my wedding hair and makeup. Karen is so incredibly talented and really has a knack for knowing what will look best for a bride- I could not have been more pleased.

I loved how Karen listened to what I wanted to look like for my portraits and on my wedding day- and she was able to give me suggestions to enhance my vision. It turned out AMAZING!

It also was nice to have one person that was doing both my hair and makeup- this was really convenient for the portraits and my wedding day. After seeing my bridal portrait photos, several of my bridesmaids also wanted Karen aned Cover Girl Brides to do their hair and makeup for the wedding... and Karen was super easy to work with when I needed to add on more girls.

Booking Cover Girl Brides is one of the best wedding planning decisions I made... and I am hoping to use Karen again when I need hair and makeup for another special event!

Karen did my hair and make up along with my bridesmaids and matron of honor. She transformed all of us so beautifully I was stunned. The airbrush make up was amazing and wouldn't of looked as gorgeous in my pictures or in person without it. I would recommend her to my sister. I would book her again any day.

Karen was wonderful to work with. She came to the house and did hair and make-up for our group. I thought 9:00am was going to be too early since we were getting married at 3:30pm but it allowed us to have fun and not be rushed at all. I didn't know about the fake eye lashes but went with them and loved my hair and make-up. I would definitely use Karen again. She was real down to earth and by the end of it was just one of the girls!

Cover Girl Brides was one of my favorite vendors to work with in the planning of our wedding. Karen and her assistant were very friendly and professional and did a fabulous job on our makeup and hair. Our wedding was in August so she recommended airbrush makeup and it was one of the best decisions I made for the day. The makeup lasted through the long day and night and looked incredible in pictures. I would highly recommend Cover Girl Brides for any special occasion.

Not many vendors do both hair and makeup. It was so nice to work with Karen because she came out to my venue to do my hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party. She is so friendly and easy to work with. She is a licensed cosmetologist so she knows what she is doing. I would highly recommend the airbrush makeup. It was definately worth it!

Karen was awesome! All of the bridesmaids looked beautiful. She was very patient and understanding of what we wanted done. The airbrush was a huge hit and I definately recommend it. It is such a benefit that Karen can come to you vs. having to have all of your girls trek to a salon down the street!

Karen did the hair and makeup for me, my mom, and my matron of honor for our wedding. She accomplished beautiful, remarkable transformations on all three of us. She was pleasant, courteous, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process. My mom, who is often uncomfortable with a new stylist, was totally at ease with her. Karen's knack for choosing just the right colors and just the right styles for each of us was uncanny. All three of us were totally amazed by how beautiful we looked and felt. My now-husband was speechless. I have never felt as knock-out, confident, beautiful, regal, stunning ... insert any positive adjective you can imagine here ... than I did as a result of Karen's work. She is truly an artist. I recommend her to anyone who wants to look more than just "pretty" on their wedding day. Why be a 7 when Karen can make you a 10.

Karen did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup and my mom's makeup on my wedding day. As someone who doesn't usually wear a lot of makeup, I was a bit nervous that I'd look too heavily made up and unnatural (she wanted me to try false lashes, and while they take a little getting used to, my eyes looked stunning in the end) - I'm so glad I trusted Karen, as she is a real pro! She really knows how to enhance your natural beauty and make you look your best in photos. Her prices are very reasonable, especially compared with some of the salons. Choose her to do your hair & makeup - you won't regret it!

As a former Miss America competitor and SC local and I am well acquainted with the best of the best of the SC beauty community. Karen is by far the best choice in her area for wedding hair and makeup. She is extremely talented, fairly priced, reliable, and professional. She was a must for my wedding. My only regret is that I didn’t meet her sooner. She would have been an asset in my pageant competition days.
