My husband and I chose to have our wedding reception at the Courtyard in Carolina Beach in October 2014 and knew that we would receive remarkable service for our event. We chose the Courtyard primarily for the services they offered and the comfort of knowing that if our dream beach wedding would have been rained out we were able to move the ceremony inside to the banquet rooms. Thankfully we did not have to and we were able to have our special day out on the beach, but the security in knowing that we could have moved was what sealed the deal for us. We worked with the Event planning staff specifically Brittni Harding. She was amazing to work with and helped us with every detail of not only our wedding, but especially the reception. That was another reason we chose the Courtyard, because we knew that their service was pretty much turn key. The only thing we had to worry about organizing was telling the venders we used for the chairs and arbor on the beach when and where to set up. Brittni took care of everything else. I would highly recommend this venue for not only the impeccable services we received and the special treatment for our special day, but also for the uniqueness of the location, and the beauty of the venue location.
The Courtyard by Marriott was the perfect location for our May wedding. Our ceremony was on the beach directly in front of the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful getting everyone lined up for that and making sure all of our guests knew where to go. Our cocktail hour was located on their patio which was a great setting. Reception was in the ballroom. Every decoration I had was set up in the right place, I can really tell they went above and beyond to ensure every detail was right. If something went wrong I wasn't made aware of it and couldn't tell either way. The staff was unbelievable! My husband and I had food served to us even though we chose the buffet option. Our drinks were always full. Britney was great to deal with in the planning process, she answered all 100 questions I had and was very helpful getting our room block together. The food was absolutely delicious!! Their chef is great and he was very helpful when we had to choose our menu at our tasting. Overall it was the perfect experience.
Brittni was amazing! Words cant describe how awesome she is. My wedding went amazing and if there was a problem I had no idea. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was perfect. Thanks!

Brittni Drake and the rest of the staff at the Marriott made my wedding day absolutely perfect. They were helpful in ways that I wasn't expecting and I would not have had or done anything differently! If I could give a rating higher than 5 I most definitely would! It was perfect!
The Courtyard Marriott in Carolina Beach, NC was absolutely the best choice for our wedding. Brandy and Abby are by far the most organized, flexible and helpful people to work with. Them, along with the staff at the Marriott made our day wonderful, beautiful and smooth. They even had a togo plate sent to our room for after the reception. It was perfect. I am incredibly grateful...so is my husband! Without Brandy, I'm sure I would have been a total basketcase!
Brittni helped my fiance and I with envisioning and preparing for our upcoming wedding. She took the time to walk us through each part of the reception including set up, alternate plans and how she will orchestrate the reception to ensure that it will be smooth and problem free!
Brittni was awesome to work with! She was very nice and organized, helped make the day so much smoother. Brittni was very willing to adapt with moving cocktail hour inside due to rain. The Marriott was very beautiful and very clean inside and out. I was beyond speechless at how delicate Brittni was with my details- I have to say I am very particular and quite frankly a perfectionist. I was very worried that the my attention to detail would be overlooked but I was astonished at how amazing Brittni took even the littlest details to mind. She did a fantastic job with everything from guiding the ceremony smoothly (we were running a little late- she did not rush us or make us feel pushed down the aisle), she moved cocktail hour inside due to the chance of rain (which I appreciated not having to worry), her team was very professional and I felt as if all the important decision that go unnoticed were taken care which was nice not having to worry about.
My family and husbands family lives in Maryland but my parents own a beach house in Kure Beach- so it was very difficult to complete all our task 400 miles away but Brittni did a fantastic job working around it. The only thing I would complain about was parking- the parking at the Marriott is for Hotel guest only and wedding guest were required to park in gravel area in front of Marriott but we did not know until rehearsal that the parking lot was owned by the county- which means they charge to park until 7 pm (it was only a few dollars but still very annoying when you pay all the money to have a wedding there)
Have been working with Brittni and she has been great. Even as she was preparing for her vacation, she ensured that we got all the information that we needed to select our reception location. Great property, location and amenities.
Overall great experience. We were very happy with our decision to have our wedding at Courtyard by Marriot. One minor issue was though there was plenty of beer, not enough was kept cold thus causing some guests to drink some less than cold beverages later in the evening.
I cannot say enough about the Courtyard. The staff was wonderful to work with and they made our wedding day beautiful and stress free! The staff set up all of my decorations just as I wanted. I was planning on having family help with decorating but the hotel took care of everything. I worked with Brittni and she was incredibly detailed oriented. She left no stone unturned. Just as my husband and I were going to the buffet for dinner, Brittni was there with our food so we didn't have to get up.
When we first began planning our wedding we were concerned about the food. You never know if the food will be good when a hotel is catering. When we went for the food tasting we no longer had concerns, the food was delicious. We choose the chicken and mahi and both were outstanding. Our guests even commented on how good the food was.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience! We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone getting married.
The hotel was a great place for our wedding! Brittni Drake was absolutely wonderful to work with and was so patient with us the months before our wedding. She always took the time to answer our questions and meet with us when we came in from out of town. The ballroom looked amazing and everyone that stayed at the hotel thought it was great. It was a little pricey overall but we loved it! The food by the chef was also fantastic and everyone talked about how good it was! I wish the staff setting up the ballroom would have been a little more on top of things and they did not get started until late in the day, which had us a little worried but it turned out great. We love staying there and plan to stay there again in the future.
