My husband and I and our guests stayed at this hotel after the wedding. They were so nice and used their shuttle to transport us from the hotel to the venue before the ceremony and back to the hotel after the reception. It didn't cost anything and was great because we had an open bar.

Ann and Sarah were so accommodating and helpful when planning my wedding at the newly renovated Cliffbreakers! They went above and beyond to make my day everything that I hoped it would be and more. When I signed on to Cliffbreakers back in January of 2018, I was a little nervous because it was still a construction zone; however, I fell in love with the passion and care that the staff had for what they do and was put at ease. All of my guests were in awe at what they saw too! Great staff, service, food, and atmosphere!

The team at Cliffbreakers was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process of planning our wedding. Brandon was extremely responsive to all of our many questions. Anthony and Brandon were there during our event ensuring everything went smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or team. The hotel was gorgeous and the scenery can't be beat. I highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding!

The staff at Cliffbreakers was amazing. Holly and Brandon from the sales team did a great job of going thru all the details beforehand. They made sure all the notes were correct, were open to changing anything last minute, made sure there was enough staff to accommodate, and never put a sour face on. They were such a pleasure to work with. On the day of the event, our captain was Anthony. He did a great job at communicating and delegating tasks to his waitstaff. His waitstaff was amazing! My wedding was on New Year's Eve and they never made us feel that we were taking them away from their holiday. They were so accommodating and welcoming. We had so many little things that were going on that could have been a nuisance to others but they all helped and did it with a smile. They helped alternate favors on the tables, make sure all the chairs were straight for the ceremony (I am very specific), bring in new tables to setup NYE horns and hats, pull the balloon drop at midnight, and light fireworks in zero degree winter weather. We also were running about a 1/2 hour behind after the ceremony and though I am sure they might have been a little flustered in the kitchen, you never saw anyone from the Cliffbreakers staff bothered by it. They did a WONDERFUL job at executing our wedding day. They were so committed to making it the best day of our lives. Thank you!

I had my wedding here on the day after Thanksgiving. The beautiful winter decor went so well with my wedding. Our contact for this place was amazing and during the reception the manager was always available for us whenever we needed something. I have nothing but positive things to say about cliffbreakers.

We had a beautiful 5-star wedding! Cliffbreaker's was AWESOME!!! The service was impeccable! The food was delicious and they were sooo flexible and accomodating with last minute decisions and changes.

Had the best wedding experience you could ever want! Loved the deck overlooking the river, made a great spot for conversation and pictures. Very elegant and made our wedding look rich even though we didn't have to spend much.

We had our wedding at Cliffbreakers and it was a great place. We initially chose it because we saw decent reviews, it was cheap, and also extremely quirky. From our first meeting there, we fell in love with the venue. From the very friendly and enthusiastic general manager, Didier, to the fountain flown in from Florence, to the antique French furniture, to the hidden passage behind one of the mirrors, this place had lots of personality and quirks. Unfortunately, during our planning process, we had a lot of hiccups with the event planning staff, all of which have now been let go. Once we communicated our issues to Didier, he immediately stepped up to help us and make sure our day went smoothly. He met with us for several hours going over the wedding, called the chef for a tasting on the spot, upgraded our room to the best in the house, and was nothing but accommodating. In the end, the day went very smoothly without a hitch, all thanks to Didier. The reason I would give it 4 stars is because of all the trouble we went through initially, and also because the wrong vegetable dish was served at our wedding. By the way, the bacon wrapped honey drizzle dates are to die for.

We chose Cliffbreakers for our reception venue and, overall, are pleased with the service provided. Up until the final stages of wedding planning, our wedding coordinator was very responsive and went a long way to help us plan what elements we wanted. Toward the end, I had to initiate contact to make sure Cliffbreakers was paid on-time, and then on the day of, our reception space was not set up. We came to set up 3 hours after we were told we could come in, and the event from the night before was not torn down yet. It was a very large event, which we definitely understand, but all we received were excuses, and no one could get a hold of our wedding coordinator. In the end, we all rallied together and got the event set up, and luckily, guests didn't seem to notice or care about any errors (some tables did not have the right number of chairs at them, our head table chair set-up kept getting mixed up). Cliffbreakers did offer something to make it up to us, which we appreciated, but our wedding coordinator passed off his duties to someone we had never worked with before, which was odd. In the end, I suspect the bar package was either not advertised or executed correctly, and one of the dishes appeared to be off, but our guests said it was beautiful wedding. I would recommend Cliffbreakers to a friend with the caveat that you be very organized and willing to initiate discussions with your coordinator because they will not ask about all the little details for you... our reception went so well, in part, because our photographer and DJ worked together so well coordinating everything else (I highly recommend both of them—Holly Johns Photography and Jitterbug Events).

The event rooms are very nice and the balconies are perfect. The food was really good and the hotel rooms were decent. If you're planning to have a wedding here, please pay attention to the details every step of the way and make sure everything is how you want it as many mistakes did happen during our wedding planning. Make sure to ask about things several times as they do not remember everything. Also, make sure you don't leave any valuables laying around during the reception as the employees stole several of our things.

Cliffbreakers has some very lovely ballrooms. I fell in love with the chandaliers and the huge decks overlooking the river right away. The reception itself turned out beautifully, and the staff during the event were wonderful and very responsive, the main person in charge (I really wish I remembered his name) was excellent and constantly asking my husband and I (and my mom) if we needed anything. The food was also delicious!!!!! My complaint with cliffbreakers is with the event planner I was given, Mark. He kept us waiting over an hour for an appointment once, and he did not seem to care much about my wedding, perhaps because I was not putting down as much money as some of his other clients. Some of the things he said he was going to do were never done. It is also hard to get into your ballroom to decorate, because they book things in the same room the night before! So, many of my family guests who were staying at the hotel had to help out and decorate our ballroom the morning of. The hotel-desk clerks also were not responsive...they accidentely overbooked that weekend and gave away a bunch of our blocked rooms! Overall, Cliffbreakers is a BEAUTIFUL place to have your reception, and I was happy. The few complaints that I had were probably just due to two or three workers at the time.

the view of the river is breathtaking from the outside deck. the food was fantastic , but the set up was not what we had discussed and agreeed on. the arrangement was not great for 200 people to get dinner in a timely manner. but everyone was impressed. the theme was around the world too much food to imagine,,chinese, italian, caribian, greek..... most of the knight was spectacular!

do not agree to do an open bar with all of the guest dinners. if they are under 21 demand a soda tab

We blocked rooms for our wedding almost a year ahead of time. With 8 months til our wedding we received an email stating that the hotel is now sold out for the weekend and hopefully that didn't put a hinderance on our weekend.... When asked if our room block filled up if we'd get another block as promised, we were told no as it's now "sold out". So we have well over 200 guests with about 80% of them coming from out of town and now we need to find another hotel that's close in proximity, which is the whole reason we booked this place. It's very frustrating and the customer service has not been that great!

I started to write this review out and realized I could write a book on how awful this whole nightmare over the past year and half was to plan. Plain and simple, wedding planning is stressful. Cliffbreakers made this experience 100x worse. This is a day we can never get back. We went thru 3 coordinators and had to start over every time because the previous emails "didn't transfer". We have no pictures from our sweet and fruit table because they didn't keep the room closed until they were supposed to. Some people were trashed by the time we got there because they let them in early. The food was so late, very important family members had to leave. Food was dumped in the kitchen so people got leftover food from another wedding, which was inedible. They had the heat on in the room at the END OF MAY. Which we didn't find out until again, very important family members had to leave. I could go on and on and on. Just do yourself a favor and DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE. The place itself is beautiful. The management is terrible. The coordination is terrible. The communication is terrible. This is a day we cannot get back. When we think about the reception, this is what we think of when we think of Cliffbreakers.

They made our wedding the most stressful day of our lives. Uncooked steaks, no a/c. Waited hours to have our cake cut. The only reason we got it cut, was I the groom had to get the event manger. Any place that makes your bride cry is a place to avoid. Don't make our mistake.

Our 150 person group will never ever return to this once fine establishment. You now have the absolute worst GM we have ever worked with in the last 25 years of putting on our events. Two of our guests were robbed tonight and instead of defusing the anger of being violated he poured gas on the flame and then pulled the biggest bone head move and threw our entire group out on the street. The police were called and we made a report of theft. I would never ever allow this nut job to be in charge of anything again. Face it you do have thieves working there, fix it before it's too late to save the business.
