Chris is a beyond amazing photographer. A highly professional individual, Chris was there to capture every last detail. We felt like we were back in the midst of our wedding while looking through our gallery. It's rare to find a photographer for which you could turn almost every shot into a "mantlepiece" shot but Chris truly fits that deion. On top of it all, you'll hardly notice he's there. There were so many moments and expressions that I didn't realize he was there to catch but was so glad that he did.

We had a very non-traditional wedding (two grooms), and Chris was great to work with. He's very professional, down to earth, and, most importantly, takes wonderful pictures. Our event was laid-back, and Chris was everywhere he needed to be to capture important moments. The weather was dark and gloomy, yet his outdoor shots look lush and beautiful.

We felt like he tailored his services to fit our needs, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Chris was the photographer at our wedding on August 27th, 2011 at Willow Harbor Vineyards in Three Oaks, MI and he did an AMAZING job!! We can definitely say that he went above and beyond what we had ever hoped for. We chose Chris based on location, his reasonably priced packages and his great website and blog showed his photojournalistic style. We were blown away at the quality and artistic edge he put into every photo. He could tell how to rearrange or rotate people to get the best lighting and avoid weird shadows and his ability to catch amazing candid moments was insanely good. Chris has a super kind, easy-going personality which worked really well with giving direction and meshing with the group. I truly appreciated his help throughout the day as he helped to keep me on schedule (but never made me feel rushed) more than anyone else! His editing was impeccable too, knowing which photos to make black & white or provide an aged effect, we couldn’t have been happier with the end result. Chris was able to capture priceless moments and took so many pictures, it was a blast reliving the day by going through his proofs. Speaking of proofs, we got them back SO fast! We got them back in less than 2 weeks after the wedding, which shows how dedicated and hard-working he is. The icing on the cake was the beautiful video he put together using several favorite photos and putting them to music. His creativity shines through in everything he does. The cherry on top of the icing on the cake would have to be the gorgeous case our disc was sent it. It was amazing-looking and super professional. I have been raving about him since the wedding and recommend him to anyone, local or not. He is an awesome photographer and we hope to use him again in the future!

Chris has a great eye and his modern style outperformed our expectations. While he captured the classics without a problem, his shots come with with a style and look that can't be reproduced by just anyone. He is a pleasure to spend time with, something that is probably more important than you currently realize. He was able to get in for the close ups and direct our large wedding party without hardly being noticed. We had to make last minute changes and he adapted on the fly without a problem. He has a great balance of directing and letting it happen naturally. He turned around the pictures quickly and they truly tell the story of our day from start to finish. It's like being there all over again. I can't recommended Chris enough! He is worth the money. Call before he is booked up! Do it! Now!

Words/reviews cannot express how amazing Chris is. He is not just a photographer, but an artist. The photos he took of our wedding were incredible and we would highly recommend him to anyone. The line about being a ninja is definitely true. We found ourselves continually saying "I don't even remember seeing him at that moment" or "How in the world did he get that shot?!" From the very first meeting all the way to the delivery of our cd he was extremely professional, prompt at responding and very attentive to our needs and questions. Chris is an all around great person and we are already looking forward to working with him again in the future.

We are so happy that we chose Chris as our photographer. He really listened to what we wanted and gave us that and so much more! Guests at our wedding commented that they hardly noticed him, but he captured all of the moments of our special day. Chris McGuire was referred to my by a friend. I am so glad that I listened to her! Chris was more than willing to work with my husband & my needs for our wedding day. On the day of the wedding it seemed to be the hottest day of the year yet Chris & his assistant were around every corner capturing even the smallest details. I was so impressed with his turn around time. I had all of my edited photos within 2-3 weeks after the wedding. The photos were so beautifully edited. THE BEST!!! We could not have been more happy with our choice! First, he was professional from the very first phone call to the delivery of our photo CD. We were impressed by his responsiveness and attention to detail in his presentation and service. Aside from exhibiting shear awesomeness as a business owner, he really went above and beyond our expectations of wedding photography. Not only did he capture the basic wedding photos in an innovative approach, he also captured moments of the wedding in a stealthy manner (see previous review regarding "ninja"). When my husband and I were reviewing our photos, we would often say "when did he take that?" or "how did he take that photo". We couldn't have been happier with his photo documentation of our event. If we could have given more then 5 stars for value, we would have. Chris' photography was worth every penny!

Chris McGurie did an excellent job with both our engagement session and our wedding. He thought of some different techniques and posses that looked great. It slightly rained on our wedding day and he new of a great spot to shoot that could still capture our love and the moment. I found Chris when I saw his work done at a friend's wedding. Even though I live in Indianapolis, he was willing to drive down from Kalamazoo to photograph our wedding. He was incredibly professional and "stealthy". During the ceremony and reception, we hardly knew that he was there! This is incredibly valuable in a photographer--especially when we saw the moments that he captured. They were the ones that I wanted to remember forever--loving glances, hilarious dance moves, a moment that made us chuckle to ourselves--all the cheesey good stuff you want to remember from your wedding. We had our pictures back within a month and a half of our wedding and they were incredible. The composition was flawless and he worked great under some unfortunate conditions. We had an evening winter wedding so outdoor shots were few and far between but that did not hinder his talent in the slightest. Chris is wonderful to work with--flexible, educated, and has a unique eye for timeless yet contemporary photography. You could NOT go wrong with this guy.

I only had three months to plan a wedding so I had to act fast. I searched for photographers in the area and stumbled upon Chris McGuire Photography. I had looked at a variety of other pages for photographers but they didn't seem to stand out or all the pictures seemed very posed. I wanted someone that not only took great pictures but could tell a story when you went through the albums. Just by looking what Chris had done I knew he had what I was looking for in a photographer. I met with Chris and knew immediately I wanted to work with him. Whenever I had questions he would always get back to me within a day and was up front about what all his services included. There were no hidden fees and I loved the fact that he gives you a cd with all your photos and the rights to these photos.

Chris managed to get everywhere at the wedding...but without people really noticing him. When people suggested picture ideas he would do it without hesitation. My bridal party was telling me throughout the entire wedding, " I love your photographer!" He also worked well with all the other vendors. I got my pictures back about a month and a half after the wedding. He did give me a few "teaser" photos a day after the wedding. My pictures turned out AMAZING! I honestly could not be happier with how everything turned out. Any bride I run in to I will not hesitate to recommend Chris McGuire for photography.

Christopher McGuire provided the best quality photography I could have ever imagined. Not only is he professional, he is fun, energetic, and very creative. His talented eye for artistic photography is what had made my favorite wedding memories last. He always returned emails and phone calls within the hour, was never late for any meetings, and always very clear and precise with questions or negotiating our picture package. On top of that, he was so kind and easy-going while trying to direct posed photos. My wedding party was HUGE (8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen) and he was great in dealing with a large group. Chris's ingenious skill of capturing special moments on film has enabled my husband and I do be able to remember details of our wedding that we weren't able to experience or just simply couldn't remember. He is the only photographer I would ever recommend to anyone--and I recommend him to everyone!
