My husband and I absolutely loved working with Chris for our wedding photos. Chris was very communicative and helpful through the whole process. Wedding planning and the wedding day in general can be overwhelming, but he was very attentive and had a calming presence. We are beyond grateful for his service and the photos turned out AMAZING!! Best Wedding Photographer Experience We Could Have Asked For!!!
We were fortunate to have Chris photograph our wedding, and I can truly say he was nothing short of phenomenal. Chris was responsive, reliable, and had an amazing ability to make us feel comfortable behind the camera. We did an engagement session with him (which he went above and beyond with flexibility for), and we instantly felt relaxed (which is saying a lot for my husband especially as he had never been behind a lens before!!). He had great suggestions of areas where we could take photos in order to get the vision we wanted for both engagement and wedding day photos, and he was also incredibly helpful in suggesting the best locations at certain times of day. After the engagement shoot, Chris continued to go above and beyond on wedding day. He kept everyone on track, brought such a calm energy to the day (which I really needed on such a wild day), and was everywhere we needed him to be throughout the entire day and night! There were several times throughout the night when I was hoping he’d be able to get a picture with us and a guest, and I looked up and he was there and ready instantly! I also have to give a shout out to his amazing skills with sunset photos – he was able to capture some of me and my husband’s favorite photos at sunset that we’ll cherish forever. Chris really went above and beyond for me and my husband, and gave us the most positive experience we ever could have hoped for on our wedding day. I would hire him again in a heartbeat for anything we might need in the future!!

Wedding Day Photographer
Chris did an amazing job of capturing the memories of our wedding day. He went above and beyond to find photo shot locations by arriving early to walk around our venue, and implemented all requests and ideas we gave him. He helped us stick to our timeline, while also capturing all the pictures we hoped for. The photos turned out so beautifully, with so many details captured perfectly. Absolutely love Chris' work!! He shot our engagement and wedding photos last year and did an amazing job. Every step of the way he was professional, responsive, prompt, and wonderful to work with. He expertly guided us through the photoshoots and gave us his advice on what we could accomplish in our timeline. By the time of the wedding, I had full trust in him that he would capture all the important shots and he absolutely delivered! I love how true to life his photos look...I grew the flowers for our wedding so it was really important to me that the photos reflected how they looked in real life.. and they definitely do! Chris doesn't waste time on hideous filters/weird brown tones that make the pictures look dark for no reason, which is one of the reasons I hired him. His photos are beautiful and timeless! It's been 7 months since our wedding and I'm still thrilled with the photos. I would happily recommend Chris to anyone getting married and I would hire him again if I ever needed a professional photographer!

The Only Choice for Wedding Photos!
I am OVER THE MOON with the incredible job that Chris did photographing our wedding. I will be one of many glowing reviews of Chris, but I can't help but glow over the photos he takes. Chris understands all the important moments that you need and want captured on your wedding day, and then he goes above and beyond to make those moments art that you will treasure for the rest of time. Some of my favorite photos are ones that I had no clue he was taking (or how he took them!). He does so much more the photograph your wedding - he captures the exact feelings, moments, looks, and memories of the most special day of your life. He captures all the important people and all the big moments as they are at their very best. Getting our wedding photos back was like reliving our wedding day over and over again - and that is one of the greatest gifts. Amazing work from a true professional photographer.
We cannot recommend Chris enough! Chris did both our engagement session and our wedding. We recently got our wedding pictures back and we seriously love all 1,064 of them! He captured every little detail and it was truly like reliving our special day! All of the feelings and emotions of the day were captured perfectly. We’re not sure how we’re going to pick out which ones to put in our album and hang in our home. We definitely understand the “ninja” reference so many others have made in the reviews… there were so many pictures that made us say, “how did he get that? I don’t even remember seeing him!”
We were looking for a photographer that took high quality, crystal clear, timeless photos. We got that and so much more with Chris. He was so professional, easy going, and helpful. When I tell you he’s amazing it’s because he’s such a kind hearted person, very understanding and very patient with me when it came to my big day decisions. Chris was always there for me with any questions I had since this was my first wedding I had many and he was always there to answer them for me. He was also very understanding to any changes so made before and during my wedding. He was the only photographer I had with over a few hundred guests and he was capturing every moment I hoped! Best Photographer!
Chris was very prompt to respond to my photography inquiry. When Chris and I met, I initially wanted a second shooter. Chris informed me that he felt confident that he could capture our day himself so we let him do his thing! Leading up to the wedding, Chris was always willing to answer any of my questions and even help with the timeline. The day of the wedding, Chris arrived on time, calm and collected, and even got started early! He knew some really great spots to go around our venue to take bridal party portraits. Being in front of his camera felt extremely natural. Chris knew that the reception was an important part for him to capture. We ran into a snag with food plates so our reception got started a little later than expected. Chris offered to stay an extra hour so we took him up on it. After the wedding, we received our album in about 2-3 weeks with 1,400 photos. The photos are simply breathtaking. He captured every emotion, all the perfect moments, all the little details, and everything in between. Choosing Chris to take your wedding portraits will be one of the best decisions you make for one of the most important days of your life!

Amazing Wedding Photographer! Must Hire!
Chris did a phenomenal job photographing our engagement session and wedding day events. He was super kind and easy to work with. I was highly impressed with him and his work.
Chris communicated well with us throughout the entire process. We emailed often. He was always quick to respond to any of our questions. He conferenced with us on the phone ahead of our wedding. Chris was very organized, which made our wedding day run smoothly. We received our images very quickly!! (Our wedding was in early July, and we had our images by the end of July) It was evident that Chris was very knowledgeable about his profession. He handled our engagement session and wedding day carefully. He captured meaningful moments using excellent exposure/lighting. He is definitely an artist. The images he captured were unique, in the moment, individualized, and highlighted us as a couple.

We warned him about our big family with loud opinions and he managed all of that so professionally and with immense kindness that he was their favorite person by the end of the night. We gave Chris a large order to fill and he over delivered. We actually landed back from our honeymoon when we got the email our pictures were ready (very fast turn around time), we spent the long layover smiling, laughing and crying all over again…which is exactly what we were hoping for. We cannot speak enough of his thoughtfulness, patience, and even-keel approach which made us feel so at ease and helped us to stay present in the moment.

Photographer that delivers!
Chris was the perfect choice for our engagement and wedding photos. His professional and high-quality style of work were apparent from the beginning in the way he worked with us to plan the locations, timing, and sequence of photos for our engagement shoot. We did our engagement photos in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations and Chris executed incredibly well given the huge variety of lighting conditions. Moreover, he exhibited great creativity in the way he improvised several shots in an art museum, which produced some of our favorite photos. On our wedding day itself he was able to photograph all of the standard wedding images while also managing to discretely capture many unique moments. He was able to pose different groups for photos efficiently and yet naturally. Chris was professional, courteous, flexible, and kept an upbeat and positive sense of humor for the entirety of both sessions. We would absolutely choose to work with him again for another wedding or other professional photography needs.

Many Beautiful Photos
We went with Chris for our wedding at the recommendation of a friend and we are so happy with the photos! We have SO MANY photos that we love from our engagement session and from our wedding day. Chris’s use of the light and the surroundings makes a breathtaking result. You can tell from his work that he’s been doing wedding photography for a long time. I could not imagine having a different photographer!
From the start Chris was very prompt and professional. I felt confident in payment, booking, quality, you name it. Packages/pricing available were diverse and very accommodating.
I was looking for a photographer whose style was timeless. Definitely hit the nail on the head with Chris. We had an August wedding in 2021. Outdoor ceremony in a wooded area. Chris did a fantastic job with lighting which I know had to be difficult. Reception photos indoors were equally as beautiful. He also did our engagement photos, even with our kids and dogs in tow. (Thank you for your patience and willingness!) Poses suggested were creative without being forced and some perfectly classic.
I ordered a wedding photo book through Chris as well. Attention to detail was amazing and I can’t wait to have this memory so well crafted.
Again, I couldn’t imagine having anyone else capture our day!

Chris was absolutely fantastic to work with! After changing our venue to our home instead of a "typical" venue due to covid, I was worried that our pictures wouldn’t look right, but boy was I wrong! Chris was able to make it look like we were in a forest even though we were in a small grove of trees on our front lawn and our pictures were amazing! He was able to capture small details that I had forgotten about and it was great being able to reminisce on our wedding day. He was able to not only capture great pictures of us, but also great pictures of our ceremony and reception venues. He was incredibly professional, showed up early, and let us call or email him anytime with any questions we had. We wanted to start off by saying that we were a little nervous about booking a photographer that we didn't use for our engagement photos, we didn't know if we would click with the photographer, if they would understand us, or capture the right moments while making us feel comfortable. With that being said Chris was AMAZING to work with from the start. He was able to work with our budget and walked us through his customizable packages to ensure we got everything we were looking for. We chatted for over an hour going over details and just getting to know each other and by the end of the call, we knew we wanted to book Chris for our wedding. He was always there to answer questions and helped us build out our wedding day timeline which was great! He even was able to accommodate our last minute request to add a second photographer (who by the way was also amazing!).
Now to the actual wedding day....Chris couldn't have been a better sport. Our wedding ended up being 105 degrees and our ceremony was outside. We had a bridal room to get ready in but there was no air conditioning (which threw a wrench into the getting ready photos I had planned)! Everyone should have been miserable but the laughter didn't stop and Chris helped everyone feel comfortable and managed to find multiple locations around our venue to get the most beautiful shaded photos. We have no idea how we are going to pick our favorites because Chris delivered SO MANY amazing photos, both in the moment and the typical posed photos.
During the ceremony and the reception, Chris and the second photographer were like ninjas. They got some really cool angles and when sharing the pics with family and friends, no one could figure out how they managed to get some of these pictures without being seen! We had more than 5 people approach us at our reception just to compliment us on our photographers, saying they were just the best to work with, they blended into the crowd and made everything feel so natural. We could not recommend Chris enough! We are over the moon happy with our photos and our overall experience with Chris from the time of booking all the way through to the picture delivery.

Beautiful photography from a responsive local photographer
Chris was absolutely amazing. To start, he accommodated our complicated schedules to schedule a beautiful family engagement session (second marriage for both, 4 kids in sports between us, life is hectic!). Chris was extremely easy to work with and super responsive. He made sure to capture all of the special moments. His editing was REMARKABLE. I can't get over how beautiful our wedding photos turned out. I absolutely love them. I'm not sure how I will ever decide which prints to get enlarged and hang in our home because their are so many amazing photos to choose from. His photographer was so fantastic, our wedding venue chose one of the pictures of us to be as their main photo on their website. Best photographer around!

Chris did an excellent job photographing our wedding day! He arrived early in the day to capture candid shots while getting ready, both for the bridal party and groomsmen. He seemed to be everywhere at once, managing to get pictures that I didn’t even know were happening! Our wedding party portraits turned out phenomenal. Chris did a great job of coordinating everyone for posed shots while also taking transition photos that truly showed everyone’s personalities and emotions. He was also able to capture our ceremony from all angles. We got plenty of pictures of our vows and ring exchanges while also getting photos of our guests’ reactions. With both the groom and I having large families in attendance, family portraits required lots of organization. Chris made sure to include all of the shots that we wanted, doing so in a timely manner to make sure that we were able to spend as much time as possible with our guests. Given the unusual circumstances of 2020, many of our wedding plans were constantly being evaluated with the changing pandemic guidelines. Chris did an excellent job of communicating with us regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed to make our wedding as normal as possible. Additionally, our wedding day ended up being extremely hot and humid. Chris did a great job of working with everyone to keep the outdoor shots as quick as possible to get everyone back inside. Furthermore, Chris did a great job of changing plans even last minute. We had planned on sunset photos followed by a sparkler exit. However, it became cloudy and started thundering just before sunset. Chris was able to incorporate the stormy background, giving us absolutely stunning shots with the lightning strikes behind us! We were able to finish the shots just before it began pouring down rain. Chris was also able to capture the energy of our guests during our reception, giving us photos of cherished moments to forever look back on. Overall, Chris exceeded all of my expectations. Even months later, I am still blown away by how amazing our photos are. Chris played an integral role in making our wedding day memorable, and I would highly recommend his photography services.

I can't begin to describe how awesome Chris is at his job. To be honest you can tell it's not even a job for him, it's a calling. He is an unbelievably talented photographer. You won't find a better Photographer!
My husband and I couldn't thank Chris enough for the effort and AMAZING pictures/ moments he captured at our wedding. With Covid-19 and a storm messing with our plans he rolled with the punches and helped us have a truly amazing day! I still can't figure out
how he was able to be in so many places at once to get all the pictures he got!

Everybody Loves Chris 😁
Hands down the best! Chris is an amazing photographer, the kind where you don’t have to worry about what kind of weather is going to be there for your special day. We had a December wedding and got married on a cloudy day and the pictures turned out fantastic! He takes what may seem like an ordinary background and makes it something amazing, words from my husband exactly. He even captured priceless moments during the reception and you can just feel the energy that was in the room that night by looking at his pictures. He’s such a calm and flexible man who can ease the nerves of any bride. Do yourself a huge favor and choose him as your photographer!

Chris is the absolute best! He is very professional and amazing at what he does. He goes above and beyond for his clients and my husband and I are in love with both our engagement and our wedding pictures. I am so glad we chose Chris McGuire to capture our wedding. He is a very talented photographer and I'm so happy with how our photos turned out. He was very professional and punctual. It was clear to me that he came prepared and focused. Chris helped me tweak our itinerary which I appreciated. He also helped to keep things moving along smoothly during the day, especially during the family and bridal party photos. He was very assertive when leading our group. He really respected our vision and seemed to grasp what we wanted out of our wedding photography. I was super excited to receive sneak peeks a few days after our wedding and the full collection in less than 3 weeks! I highly recommend Chris! Wonderful job!

Chris Captured Everything!
We are so thrilled by the photos Chris captured, both posed and candid. We were especially pleased by how easily he was to work with before and on the day of the wedding. I have observed photographers who were grouchy and demanding and cast negativity on special events. I have also observed less than professsional behavior at a few weddings. Chris was somehow VERY layed back, very professional, AND was able to get every picture we planned in advance. Trust us, you will not be disappointed in him or his work!

Chris is excellent-book him!
Chris did a phenomenal job on our wedding day! He worked tirelessly all day to capture every moment- we got lots of comments about how impressed our guests were that he was "everywhere" throughout the ceremony and reception which was awesome. Right away, he put my husband and I at ease. Chris was friendly, calm and professional. You can tell that he really has a wonderful eye. We've only gotten our sneak peeks back so far because our wedding was about a week ago, but we've received so many compliments on how stunning those are. We are so happy with them and can't wait to see the rest. We'd recommend Chris to anyone in a heartbeat!

The Best Ever
Chris was everything we wanted in a photographer! It was so important to us to have a photographer that could catch the candid moments of our wedding day. We chose Chris because of his ability to catch those moments that can’t be caught in posed portraits. He definitely did NOT disappoint. I had several people comment that they weren’t even aware our photographer was there-that’s always impressive! AND he got us our pictures back way sooner than we expected! We HIGHLY recommend him!!

Amazing Photographer
Chris is absolutely wonderful to work with. He captured our engagement and wedding beautifully. We truly had so much fun getting to know him over the course of our wedding planning process, and by the time the wedding rolled around it was like hanging out with an old friend. He has an unbelievable eye for making any space or location look amazing and is very honest with any questions and suggestions to make the most of your shoots. He also makes you feel so comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which was a huge factor for my husband, who isn’t the biggest fan of being in the limelight. The hardest part is going to be picking which photos go in our album- all of them are amazing!

Fall Wedding Turned Into Winter Wedding
We had other Photographers in mind before we chose Chris McGuire Photography. Once we saw his work and met with him, we decided to hire him and it was a great decision. Chris was very patient and flexible with us when it came to wanting to pick the perfect colorful Fall day for our Engagement Session, and the shots turned out awesome. He was even more accommodating on our Wedding Day. What was supposed to be a beautiful Fall November Day, turned out to be a Cold Snowy Day and yes, we got married outside in the snow! Chris and his assistant rolled with it and captured the moment beautifully. We highly recommend Chris McGuire Photography.

Chris was absolutely amazing. He was very responsive to my many emails, he worked with me to create a package that included everything I needed and in the budget I set! My family (and myself) couldnt believe how amazing he was on my wedding day! He seriously seemed to be in all the right places at all the right times. Chris shot our August 11, 2018 wedding and did amazing! I was initially worried about how many angles Chris could get because he works without a second shooter. But he blew us away with how easily he was able to move around everyone and still get amazing shots. He does the work of 3 people and without creating a distraction! I looked at some of the photos he took from our ceremony and I cant even remember seeing him in the places he took some of the photos. He was that good.
He was so easy to work with and didnt mind staying over when we realized we needed more time at the end. He was also kind to and worked well with the videographer we hired. Only having worked with each other at one other wedding, they moved around each other so fluidly and made it look seamless. I would definitely recommend Chris shoot any event you want documented. He did our wedding and I would absolutely have him shoot any maternity photos, anniversary photos, and family photos we have!

My husband and I have never really been super comfortable in front of the camera, but Chis was incredible and made it a very enjoyable experience! His experience definitely drove the wedding shoot in the right direction. He knew exactly what we wanted without us having to direct him. Adding Chris to our vendor team was by far one of the best decision we made when it came to planning our wedding. We decided to go with the engagement photo and wedding photo package, and I'm so glad we did! The photos are truly incredible and our entire family has treasured having such beautiful images.
Beyond taking incredible images - from the lighting to the clarity, etc. - Chris has such an eye for capturing the "personality" of a couple. I felt like the photos were a reflection of us. It is also true that he is a real "ninja" on the wedding day! I barely noticed him, but he captured everything! Even some of the funnier things that happened that day.
We are so thankful to have had Chris there and HIGHLY recommend him!

As an "out of town" bride, I really needed a photographer I could trust, and I am so glad I found Chris! He was so easy to work with throughout the entire planning process and on the day of, and was extremely responsive to any communications.
His way of photographing as well is perfect - he captures very natural and candid moments. Nothing was staged, awkward, or forced. When we got out photos back we were so excited to see SO many that we had no idea were captured or taken, yet looked so good! The photos we got back were STUNNING. His ability to see something relatively mundane and make a beautiful photo come to life out of it is really impressive. Throughout the day he let us take quick peeks at the camera, was very encouraging, and really listened to what we wanted. I could not thank him enough for giving us such beautiful photos to look back on for years to come!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Chris! We had engagement photos and our wedding photos done by him and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Chris was always very responsive to all of our questions and was flexible with everything. Our original engagement photo date had bad weather and he rescheduled to the following morning to accommodate us (we live in Detroit but had our engagement photos done and had our wedding in Kalamazoo). We did a ton of research on photographers and we are more than happy with Chris! Our engagement photos turned out amazing and our sneak peek of wedding photos was perfect!
We got our wedding photos back this morning, and we cannot stop looking at them! There are over 1,000 for us to look at from all throughout the entire day and Chris perfectly captured every single aspect of our day (from getting ready, to the ceremony, portraits, and reception photos)! The photos are amazing, and we could not be happier! It was great to look back on the day, and see all of the photos that Chris captured with so many different people from the wedding. Chris also made a slideshow for us that is a couple minutes long that is easy to share with everyone and highlights the entire day!

"Your pictures are full of life!" That's our favorite comment on our wedding photos from our Feb. 2017 wedding in Battle Creek, MI. We live in Chicago and were concerned we wouldn't find the style/quality of photographer in a smaller market that you find in a larger city. We also wanted more photo-journalistic, capturing- the- moment style, and less of the classic/staged wedding photos. Everything about Chris and his assistant were wonderful: creative, professional, helpful, patient, organized, and collaborative. Chris is very responsive too - from answering simple questions (and lots of them!) to working with us one-on-one after the wedding to design our wedding album. Chris was an absolute pleasure to work with, worth every penny (get the extra hour - trust us!!) and went above /beyond to capture the best moments throughout our wedding celebration. We did a lot of research when it came to photography for our national convention in Michigan in 2016. Chris McGuire Photography was by far our top choice. Chris has a unique eye for creative angles while utilizing lights, backdrops, the audience and making a banquet full of 300+ people seem artistic! He was great to work with - setting up meetings in advance to review the shot lists to ensure we got everything we needed from photos of the set up before the event, to candids during and even outside photos of the building. He edited photos on-site so we could post a few during the actual event each day which made us more creditable than posting a phone pic. After the event, Chris hit our quick turnaround for obtaining the edited photos. His software is easy to use for downloading images and the photos were gorgeous! We were incredibly pleasure with our decision to go with Chris McGuire as he was top class in ever category - friendliness, professionalism, quality, uniqueness, turnaround, editing and overall value! Highly recommend this company!

We had the opportunity to work with Chris for our summit event and he was great! He was easy to work with leading up to the event, took outstanding photos during his time there that really captured the details of the day and he had great follow-up getting the pictures back to us. Although his specialty is in weddings, he is clearly a talented individual and has diversity to be able to serve many other events.

Chris played such a special part in our wedding. He’s truly a master in his craft. We connected with him after discovering that all of our favorite photos online from our venue were his from prior weddings. He was somehow able to catch those special moments you didn’t think anyone could capture! One of our favorite moments was about halfway through our ceremony where he came up and asked “need a quick break”? We went up to the roof of our venue just as the sun was setting and managed to capture some of our favorite photos of our wedding day.
Chris also shot our engagement photos in Chicago - which also turned out AMAZING! We were pretty clueless on how to best pose and set up our shots. Chris helped guide us every step of the way and somehow managed to capture incredible moments from a couple who typically looks horribly awkward in posing photos. If you’re looking for a photographer who’s a real professional and incredibly kind and easy to work with, your search can stop here. We can’t thank Chris enough for his contribution to our wedding!!!

We love all of the pictures that Chris took of us! We had engagement photos as well as wedding photos by him. He came to MSU for our engagement photos and Saugatuck for the wedding. He is very professional and responsive to communication in person as well as online. His style is candid focused - and because of that we have some great photos that we wouldn't have gotten from a more "posed" type of photographer. [We also have the classic wedding photos and family portraits]. He is easy going and fun to work with. On our wedding day I forgot he was there for most of the day which made it a relaxed atmosphere. We got a sneak peak of the photos within two weeks and got all of the pictures within 6 weeks. He does have photo services available where he can print photos, create photo memorabilia, and photo books. We chose to create our own photo book because I enjoy creating them myself. Overall he did an excellent job and I would recommend him!

5 stars is not enough for Chris. He is amazing! By far the most beneficial thing Chris did for us, was have an hour long conversation the week before the wedding. It really helped us put together the final timeline of the entire day. It allowed him to know where to be and when. It also helped keep all of us on track. He knows what works and what doesn't. He was respectful of my ideas, while giving other options to consider. Chris is extremely professional and FAST! We had him on a VERY tight schedule and he ran around getting as many of the pictures as he could that I requested. There were only a few "fun" shots I had on my list we didn't get and that was only because we wanted to be done. He was ready to keep shooting! He has great ideas on locations in town and at our venue, since he seems to be everywhere! The candid photos he caught were just as amazing as the posed pics. If he didn't like a shot, we would try it again.
Check out his website. The photos speak for themselves. I wanted to recreate a few of his AMAZING shots, and he was very open to the idea - they turned out great! It also lead to some new pose ideas, and I love those just as much.
He was able to give us a preview of 5 photos the week after the wedding. The turnaroud was quick and photos were perfect.
Overall, Chris captured EVERYTHING. You Rock!

From a set-up and planning perspective, he was great to work with: clear, up-front pricing, flexible to meet via phone and in-person, and pleasant to interact with overall.
From a work quality perspective, I couldn't he happier. I prefer the "organic moments" rather than posed portraits, which Chris delivered.
From a work style perspective, Chris was flexible and accommodating. We asked to include a videographer on short notice, and Chris was able to work with her without issue.

Hire this guy :) One of the things (as a bride) you will realize after its all done is how many details, people, and moments you didn't get to enjoy quite as much as you would have liked. The day is packed & you can be on sensory overload. Looking through the pictures Chris took of our wedding was absolutely the best experience ever. I felt like I was reliving my own wedding & saw so many amazing moments that I had missed or just caught a glimpse of during the actual day. Chris does more than just take photos of the cake & the rings... he captured a million emotions from all of my guests. I could not be more pleased with his work! Chris McGuire Photography was one of the best investments for our wedding. When we first met with Chris he impressed us. He showed us samples of his work and samples of the albums. (His albums are gorgeous!!) Chris has so many great ideas on location in Kalamazoo if you’re looking for outdoor pictures. We wanted to have a variety of pictures so he recommended the Nature Center of Kalamazoo and he took gorgeous pictures of us there along with pictures at our ceremony/reception. He coordinated with the Nature Center to make sure the location was available. He is very organized and he called the week of to make sure he knew what pictures we wanted/timeline of events. Chris is so easy to work with. There was no pressure on us. He let us have our moments together and captured them perfectly. We got our pictures 6 weeks later with access to the website. He took so many amazing pictures that it is really hard to pick the top ones for our album. HIGHLY recommend Chris McGuire Photography. Extremely professional and as my title states STUNNING pictures.

When I started wedding planning I knew that wedding photos was not something I was willing to compromise on and I am so thrilled that we found Chris McGuire! I did a LOT of research on photographers in the Kalamazoo area and while the pictures on Chris's website were stunning I wasn't convinced that he could work his magic with me and my husband until our engagement pictures. He worked with us to choose a location that fit our personalities and had all of the elements he needed for great pictures and we were absolutely amazed by how great they turned out. We had several phone calls before the wedding to talk about day of details, shots that I was hoping for, and locations close to our venue that would work for bridal party photos and I was completely at ease on wedding day. 6 weeks after the wedding our photos are already ready for us to view online and we couldn't be happier with the results. Chris's ability to capture the spontaneous personal moments from the wedding is pure magic and the more formal photos still managed to look like us only better! Looking through the photos you would think he cloned himself to be everywhere at once because he didn't miss a thing! Chris was a pleasure to work with and exceeded our expectations beyond measure. My husband and I live in Arkansas and had to plan a wedding in MI. I looked at thousands of reviews and Chris not only had tons but none of them were negative! To good to be true? More like the best decision we ever made. Chris took the time to talk me through every package he offers, updated my package every time I changed my mind, emailed me timeline examples, showed up early to look around the venue, and is so nice and personable! We got the pictures back and oh my gosh! They are amazing!!!! I had a huge goofy grin on my face the entire time I watched the slide show! Chris captured every feeling and moment that I could have ever asked for! I am beside myself with how amazing all the pictures are! As I looked through our gallery I felt like I was living through our wedding day, I laughed and cried all over again! I LOVE my wedding photos, and I'm so happy! I am the happy bride from my (Sunday) Wedding, July 12, 2015.
I had researched photographers online, for many months, and by far Chris McGuire's photos stood out to me. (I just had to have his talent, and I'm so glad he was available for our wedding date).
To capture a "once in a lifetime" day, you want nothing more than someone that you feel at ease with. To surround yourself with such an easy going, and professional guy, with great skills, is priceless.
Chris is a super sweet guy, so easy to work with on the day of, and very prompt responding via email.

My husband and I are so happy that we chose Chris McGuire to be our wedding photographer! We can't imagine a better person to have captured all of our special memories from the day. He was so invested in making sure that he knew about all the details of the day, so that he would be ready to take pictures of everything. He was so easy to work with and made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. Even my husband, who doesn't always love his picture being taken, often forgot that he was being photographed and we ended up with some of the most amazing pictures!!
We live out of state so Chris was excellent at meeting us the first time over Skype to introduce himself. He also talked to us many times on the phone during the planning process, about not only our wedding photography, but also weddings in general. He was able to give us advice about other local vendors that he would recommend and how the timeline of the day should go. He was able to provide us with so many extra tips and pieces of advice!
He also was amazing at getting the pictures back to us sooner that we would have thought possible. We got a few sample pictures just a few days into our honeymoon and got the rest about 5 weeks later! We couldn't be happier with how they turned out. We absolutely love our pictures and especially love how he always captured the memories in a natural way, with nothing ever seeming too posed. We plan to print up a ton of them and also give some pictures away as gifts. He also makes amazing photo album keepsakes of the day and we can't wait to get one of those either!
Overall, we couldn't have been more happy with our decision to use Chris McGuire as our wedding photographer! We loved working with him and would strongly recommend him to any other couples looking for the best wedding photographer around!

I am still struggling to decide which ones to have printed because there are so many great choices. Having Chris as our photographer was one of my best wedding decisions I made. He made our day so easy and in the days leading up to it. Thanks Chris for your hard work and for capturing our beautiful (somewhat windy) day!

Chris is amazing. From the moment we first met and said hello to him to the last minutes of our wedding day, he made this experience a lifetime memory. Chris felt like a long time family friend and not just someone we hired to take photos. When we ran into many unexpected events out of our control from last minute venue changes to family emergencies and Chris was always more than willing to make things work for us with no hesitation at all. His communication, professionalism, EVERYTHING was 100000%. He exceeded our expectations way above and beyond. Our engagement photos and wedding photos are beautiful. His work is one of a kind. I have a passion for photography, so I spent a lot of time scouring the internet and interviewing potential wedding photographers to find the right one. We decided to go with Chris McGuire Photography because his portfolio was stunning and he was very knowledgeable (and not to mention easy going), and our expectations were beyond exceeded.
I have many positive to things to say about our experience. First, his professionalism was top-notch. Chris and his assistant showed up dressed nicely in black and were extremely polite to my friends and family. He let us 'act naturally' and therefore we have so many amazing candid shots in our wedding album. When we needed to move 200+ chairs on the fly so that we could get the perfect shot, Chris and his assistant were the first ones to lend a hand. They also did SUCH a good job of capturing us in the moment at the reception - I never knew he was there! Also, he had a plethora of very expensive professional equipment strapped all over his body along with lighting equipment that he navigated around like a ninja. Impressive.
Second, the pictures are such a beautiful reflection of my memory of our wedding day. The quality is, again, top-notch. They are clean, crisp, clear, perfectly exposed, with such minor processing. Though, beyond the photos being technically nice, they tell such a true story of our day and not a single moment was missed. You can't put a price on that.
And last. Our estimated turn around time to get the photos back was 8-10 weeks, which is pretty standard from my understanding. We got ALL of the images back in less than one month!!! I was blown away. They sent us a very nice personalized disc in a custom jacket, too.
Bottom line, your wedding photos are the only thing that will allow you to relive the best day of your life. The whole thing seemed like such a blur, so I am beyond grateful to have such an exquisite record of that day in my personal history. Thank you so much Chris!

I contracted Chris McGuire about 7 months prior to my wedding. He responded to my inquiry within 4 hours, and immediately included his price list and package options. He made sure to follow up with me within the upcoming days asking if I had any questions, and was more than willing to work with us and our budget.
During the planning process he sends very helpful planning sheets with examples of day-of schedules so you have a clue on how much time to allot to pictures.
We did not do an engagement session, so the first time meeting Chris was the day-of. He was open to Facetiming two weeks before the wedding just to go over some details and get to know each other.
The day of he was incredible. He showed up an hour early just to scope out the location. I did not have a first look spot picked out and he sought this out for me and coordinated the whole thing. He made sure we stayed on schedule without being overbearing at all. Was very professional, easy going, and courteous the entire day. He was even open to showing us some of his shots throughout the day - which some photographers do not do.
He brings an assistant who is primarily there for lighting. I've been in other weddings and no professional lighting or reflectors are used. Chris used these on 90% of this photos, and you can tell the difference.
He said his usual turnaround time for edits is 8-10 weeks. We had ours back in 4. It included over 700 shots. They were AMAZING! Better than I was ever expecting - and I had high expectations. He didn't miss one shot that I was hoping to get, and did an impeccable job at capturing our special day. I am so happy we chose Chris as our photographer, and hope that many other couples do the same!

Chris was amazing from the first phone conversation we had! My fiancé (at the time) and myself live over 16 hours away from Kalamazoo MI, (my hometown) where our wedding was to take place. This being said it was very important to us that we found the right vendors that could make our wedding day vision come true! We wanted a photographer that was more into moments than poses, someone who's pictures would tell a story for years to come and most importantly someone who was open, honest, flexible and creative. Chris was all of the these things! It is without reservation that I recommend Chris McGuire Photography.
