Erin created the most beautiful and DELICIOUS cake for us for our wedding day! She was easy to get in contact with prior to the wedding. We had a phone consultation to discuss our vision, and we were able to try the cake flavors prior to deciding which flavors we wanted for our wedding cake. On the wedding day, the cake arrived on time, and it was absolutely beautiful (exactly how we pictured). It was also SO good. Delicious affordable wedding cake
I am wayyyy over due in writing a review for Erin. She baked our cake for our wedding on 9/4/22 in Brooklyn, CT and her work is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND DELICIOUS. My husband and I wanted to support local businesses throughout our wedding journey and Erin's business fit that for us. Our tasting was at her home and learned that she bakes everything on her property.
Erin took the time to understand our vision and present us with options. We decided on a three tiered naked cake with strawberry, lemon, and raspberry filling. All of which were well complimented by our guests. The best part was how affordable Erin was, since we didn't want to spend $500+ on a wedding cake.

The owner is pretty gosh darn amazing for being so flexible with so little time. Then the cherry on top was getting the presentation down exactly to what we dreamed the cake to look like… oh and taste like! The guests were looking for more! Try the lemon!!! Best wedding pies!
Erin was so easy to work with! I got to meet with her months before the wedding to discuss my choice of dessert. I threw her a curveball and wanted her to make mini pies for our wedding since it was right around Christmas. HER PIES WERE TO DIE FOR!!! My guest absolutely loved them, some of my guests even had more than one! For our wedding favors, we asked Erin to make chocolate chip cookies, and let me tell you they were delicious. I highly recommend the Chocolate Rose Bakeshop.

I don't consider myself a cake person but after our tasting my now husband and I were arguing who got to finish the remaining bites. Every flavor was delicious. The quality of work was outstanding. The cake was exactly as we wanted, if not better.
Erin was so easy to work with. Even though I feel like I messaged her 100 times she always replied back professionally and kindly. The whole experience far exceeded our expectations and the pricing was extremely reasonable. I couldn't recommend Chocolate Bakeshop more!

Our Wedding cake by Chocolate Rose was exactly what I envisioned! Erin did a phenomenal job sculpting mountains onto our white buttercream cake. My husband was pulling people aside and showing it off all night before we cut into it! As beautiful as the cake looked it was just as delicious ! We were able to have the different layers as different flavors and our guests enjoyed being able to chose what slice of cake they wanted. We got nothing but compliments all night! I ordered cupcakes for tasting and then ordered our wedding cake. We had 2 tiers of yellow cake with strawberry filling and 1 tier of yellow cake with raspberry filling. Erin is absolutely amazing! She made us the wedding cake of our dreams and was so amazing to work with. My fiancé likes chocolate and I like vanilla and she was able to make a cake with both flavors! Our guests raved about about amazing our cake looked and tasted. Her frosting is particularly out of this world. From the start Erin was very responsive and helpful with all of the questions and ideas I had. We decided to do a cupcake tower which turned out beautifully and the cupcakes were to die for they were so flavorful and moist. All of the guests were raving about the cupcakes. We also did the Venetian Platter with eclairs, Italian cookies and fruit tartlets. Of of which was delicious. Erin did such a nice job preparing the cupcake tower and the desserts we had. Erin at Chocolate Rose Bakeshop was very easy to work with and her cakes were delicious. For our wedding we opted to have a small cutting cake and two varieties of cupcakes and our guests raved about everything.
There are many flavor combinations available and Erin offers sampler packs of the cupcakes so that you can try a variety of them and decide.
On the day of the wedding everything was delivered and set up the way I had requested in plenty of time. Erin does wonderful work and is very reasonably priced.

The cake was so delicious. My guests loved the cake. It was so easy to work with Chocolate Rose Bakeshop. This was the least stressful transaction of our wedding. We tasted samples that were all delicious. We were able to taylor our cake to our tastes and have different favored tiers. We choose to have our own topper and we were given specific dimensions on what to order, it was helpful. I placed the cake topper on the cake table the night before. When I saw our cake on our wedding day I was so pleased. I would definitely recommend them. The cost was reasonable. I will be using their services in the future.

Erin from the chocolate rose was AWESOME! She let us sample some of the most delicious cake I have ever tasted. There were plenty of voices for flavors and fillings and she was very accommodating to all of our needs. She even suggested that for the top of our cake we do both flavors so we could have both on our one year anniversary just like we did the night of our wedding. There was one minor detail that was overlooked with our cake which was the filling on one of the flavors. HOWEVER... Erin was very apologetic and quickly offered compensation in the form of a cookie platter for the holidays or an anniversary cake. I was EXTREMELY satisfied with her customer service and I can't say enough about the cake itself absolutely delicious. Thank you for making our special day even more special.

I contacted Erin about a smash cake, and cupcakes for my daughter's first birthday party. I sent a picture of what I was looking for, along with the color scheme. She told me she could do everything I was asking for. she gave me a price quote, and I had to double check to see if she gave me the right price. She assured me she did, and I agreed. when I went to pick up my goodies, I absolutely fell in love. The colors were spot on, and the cake was SO cute, and looked exactly like the picture I sent her. The cupcakes were nice and moist, and the frosting was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and there wasn't too much. Her professionalism and attention to detail is phenomenal.
I have used her on several occasions, and she has not let me down.
The cupcake tower & topper for my daughters bridal shower not only looked amazing but tasted delicious. We were so pleased with her creativity and attention to detail we also ordered the wedding cake and favors for the guests knowing we would not be disappointed. We told Erin about our idea for the Cinderella fairytale themed wedding and she not only suggested ideas, she followed thru, making sure we had nothing to worry about with the cake & favors when the wedding day arrived. We were not disappointed!! The cake was as unbelievably gorgeous as it was tasteful.

I was referred by a friend so I never went there my friend handled everything. Cake was for a 50 th birthday party she did an amazing job cake was exactly like photos of the object that I sent to her. The details of every little thing was a huge bonus. This small bakery does big things!!!! I had a very intricate filligree design for my cake and was turned away by 3 other bakeries. So happy I found Chocolate Rose. She didn't even hesitate when she saw my design. She's a very talented baker. Aside from appearance the cake also TASTED BETTER than any of the other tastings. Erin's cake was even more beautiful that what we envisioned! And delicious too. We loved working with her, and were more than satisfied with the end product. She was the only cake vendor that we talked to that was straightforward with pricing, when no other vendor would be clear with us, which was extremely helpful during planning and budgeting. Her services are professional and affordable. She is a master of her art, and I'm thinking we should get a small replica cake for our anniversary! Thank you Chocolate Rose Bakeshop!

The Chocolate Rose Bakeshop provided us with the most beautiful wedding cake! My mom and I had made lace doily flowers to go on a traditional frosted 4 tiered cake. I supplied them with the flowers, ribbon, cake topper, and a photo of what I wanted the cake to look like and they did the rest. The cake turned out better than I could of hoped for, taste wise and looks. The guests loved the flavors, spice and cream cheese frosting (bridal cake) and red velvet with cream cheese frosting (grooms cake).

EXCELLENT! All I had to do was provide a picture of the cake I wanted and she made it perfectly! Not only was the cake beautiful and exactly how I pictured it; but it also tasted delicious! The cake was moist and the frosting was not too heavy. Highly recommend this bakeshop to anyone!

We got a grooms cake and 2 wedding cakes from Erin. We had a traditional American cake and a tradition a Mexican tres leches cake. Mall the cakes she made were amazing and beyond our expectations! She took our ideas and made the cakes look finished and beautiful and the taste was out of this world! We had so many compliments!!! She had the cheapest price when we picked her but she was above and beyond the best value!!!

We used Erin for our wedding cake in September. She was very easy to work with which was good since I changed the design of our cake after agreeing to another one. Erin was also the most affortable place we looking into. We had her red velvet cake and everyone said it was the best red velvet they have had! We would highly recommend her to anyone.

Erin is so creative a true artist with pastry.
All of my guests were amazed with the creativity and they were extremely happy with the flavor of the cake. “It melts in your mouth”.
She has done large cakes and even cupcakes from several events for me.

Chocolate Rose Bakeshop does an amazing job! Our wedding cake was exactly what we were looking for and absolutely perfect, beautiful and delicious. They faciliated working with the florist to get real flowers for the cake, which made things easier for us (much appreciated!). The chocolate dipped and decorated Oreo's favors were a huge hit. Adorable and so good that people were actually going around scooping them off of the tables. We use Chocolate Rose for our birthday cakes as well and they always exceed expectations and deliver with creativity. Highly recommend!

Our wedding cake was beyond what we expected! Our cake was phenomenal! Everyone thought it was a gorgeous cake and done amazingly! We had a plan of doing a story of our life up until the wedding, Erin came up with wonderful ideas and put it all into a 3 dimensional cake! I have never seen anything like it! I have never been to a wedding where the cake went immediately with people asking for more,until my own wedding. It was amazing. It looked stunning, and it tasted like HEAVEN. Our only mistake is that we didn't get a bigger cake (and we over-ordered as it was!). The cake stops here. Do it. You won't be sorry.

I doubt anyone could have made our wedding cake any better. We wanted something very particular - a laptop. Not just a fondant laptop on top of a cake but 2 full sheet cakes put together to look look an open laptop. With each key a separate brownie on top of the cake. Not only did it look just like what we sent her but it was absolutely delicious. Everyone at the wedding absolutely loved the look of the cake and the taste. Perfection!

We actually tried 3 different bakies before deciding on them. The actual cake was better then what we had at our tasting and she provided service above and beyond what we ever hoped for. Everything came in on time and we were treated in a very professional manner, I would recommend advantage bridal to anyone. I made my appointment and went to it. She sat down with my husband and I and we were able to pick what we wanted and how we wanted it. My cake was so beautiful that at my wedding reception no one wanted to touch it because they thought it was the most beautiful thing they had ever seen. It tasted great too.

Ordering our invitations through the Chocolate Rose Bakeshop was easy and fun!! We found ther perfect invitations and didn't have to deal with any of the ordering! I can't even begin to describe how wonderful my wedding cake was. I had talked to a couple of other vendors before this, and the prices were outrageous. I brought my pictures and ideas to Erin, not really being able to see what it would look like, as it was a mixture of different styles and colors I had found. The price she came up with was great, and the end result was simply amazing! I would never imagined it would come out as beautiful as it did, and I didn't even have the ever so talked about fondant icing! She really did a great job. And it tasted so good too! I had the lemon cake with strawberry and cream filling. My husband is not much of a sweets/cake person, but even he couldn't get over how good it tasted!

I have known Erin's baking abilities for years now and when it came time to marry there was no other choice. She listens and pays attention to detail. She came through with exactly what we asked for and the cake was even more beautiful than I had expected. To top it all off, the taste was fabulous. The "cake lady" took a swatch from the bridesmaid's dresses and matched the frosting to it. Her website and method of selecting cakes is very user friendly. The cake was included in the price of our package with Wright's Mill farm but the value and presentation were flawless. Although, I do wish that we were offered a tasting by Wright's Mill. Not that it didn't taste good but because I feel that is one of the fun traditonal experiences a bride and groom should get to do.

Erin from the Chocolate Rose is amazing! We have used her for many years, she used to make my birthday cakes when I was a teenager, so it was only second nature that I would have her make my wedding cake. We booked Erin a year in advance, and I was a crazy Bride, and changed my mind on the appearance of the cake I want to say 3 times, Each time she would just make the change, no questions why, totally willing to make it possible. Our cake was beautiful on our Wedding day, we couldnt have been MORE happy. We just did a simple square white cake and then we put green orchids on the different layers. It was beautiful!
Erin also made a Groomscake for my Husband. He had always wanted a 3-D cake of Fenway Park...so we did that, I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg for it, but it was extrememly Reasonable. The ONLY problem that we had with Erin, was a miscommunication I guess you could call it. The Groomscake was supposed to be delivered at the rehearsal dinner location, and NOT the wedding. It turns out for some reason it was delivered to another venue and that venue just accepted this cake, having no idea it wasnt for them, and so the Groomscake was missing for the rehearsal dinner. We called Erin and got no response, and I was mildly freaking out. I called her the morning of the Wedding day too, because I was nervous she was hurt or something, and that possibly there would be no wedding cake as well. Turns out it was some sort of mix up, and the cake was at the reception. Erin had been in another state I believe with her family, and so that is why she wasnt answering the phone. After all was said and done, it turned out wonderful, even though we didnt even eat the groomscake yet, we are having a dinner party in a week where we are going to defrost and eat it. Erin also offered us a free anniversary cake for our anniversary next year, which is a sign of a wonderful Vendor! Thank you Erin!

I had a vision of what my cake would look like, unfortunately my vision wasn't the same as my fiance. However Erin helped us come to a compromise and the cake was absolutely stunning. from what I did taste of it, it was delicious. We went with cupcakes for our guests, vanilla with a raspberry filling and chocolate cupcakes with a peanut butter filling. eating more than one cupcake because they couldn't get enough. she is very reasonable with their prices and very accommodating to help you make your dream cake come true.

We hired Erin with Chocolate Rose Bakeshop after we tasted her creations and were thrilled by how delicious they were! We wanted a simple wedding cake (chocolate hazelnut with vanilla butter-cream frosting; no fondant; simple decoration) and Erin made us the most gorgeous cake we could have imagined! Three tiers, and beautifully decorated with little "pearls" throughout the cake, it was also incredibly delicious! We took the leftovers home and my husband has been munching on it each night. We heard from so many of our guests that our cake was amazingly flavorful, light, and moist which is exactly what we were hoping for! Erin worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted and we truly were blown away by 1. how gorgeous our wedding cake was and 2. how delicious it was! I find wedding cakes to be beautiful but generally not very tasty, but ours was so delicious! If we ever need another cake or baked good for an event, we will definitely go back to Chocolate Rose.

Best Wedding Dessert!
Chocolate Rose Bakeshop was one of the best choices we made for our wedding day. We were married on 7/15/22. Erin was recommended by our venue, Stonehurst. We are from NY and were able to schedule a tasting on one of our visits. We were a bit hesitant because we are not big on cake. However, once you taste Erin's cakes, you will forever be a cake fan. We ordered a variety of pastries that came with a small cake and a small order of cupcakes. The lemon raspberry cake is amazing! And, her pastries (fruit, lemon, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate raspberry truffle) were the most delicious part of our wedding. The flavors are just so balanced. I wish we lived closer so we could order dessert from her all the time. Thank you so much for adding so much sweetness and beauty with your desserts. It helped make our day so perfect!

I think our initial tasting somehow got messed up as I didn't choose any flavors to try but rather she had 4 of her most popular ones made to taste. I think it was my own fault for not knowing how a tasting went but anyways the cupcakes were absolutely fabulous! Oh! Did I mention that they delivered to our venue for free AND gave us a 6" cutting cake for free?! We were able to choose the case, filling, and frosting for each type of cupcake and I loved every single concoction that we had her make. Being able to choose the cake, filling, and frosting made it a fun experience in ordering. They all worked out so deliciously! Although the experience wasn't what I had in my head for what I thought it'd be, I'm very glad we went with Chocolate Rose.

Erin is very talented and will work with your vision. Erin is very responsive to online inquiries and gets back to you very quickly. My husband and I were very pleased with the tasting we had with Erin and couldn't wait for the big day to come to see her creation.
I also had Erin make a groom's cake for my husband, it was a Patriot's Logo, with the Red Sox B included as well. Everyone loved both of our cakes and I can't wait to delve into the top layer on our 1 year anniversary!

This the second time we have had her cakes. She does a wonderful job. My daughter in law choose a spice cake just like my daughter the taste was wonderful she added a thin layer of Chocolate raspberry filling it added a nice addition to the cake. The only problem was I never got to finish the cake due to visiting all the family and guest.

We got our wedding cake, groom;s cake, and favors (chocolate covered strawberries) from Chocolate Rose Bakeshop! She went above and beyond our expectations! Everyone loved the cake so much...we only had four small pieces left!! Definitely recommend her to anyone getting married in CT.

Erin's decorating skills speak for themselves- just check out her Facebook page! She was recommended by our caterer, and the moment I saw photos of her work I knew she'd be able to make the wedding cake of my Pinterest dreams. The cake tasted amazing and looked stunning. She even put together a groom's cake in the shape of a WWE Wrestling ring that stole the show. Her pricing is extremely reasonable for the amazing product you receive!

The cake was good, however our cake topper "was too heavy" and fell and broke. There was never a conversation about how "heavy" a cake topper should be. I do not know when the cake topper fell, but the cake had some spots messed up. Word to the wise: check out heavy your cake topper is before buying and check to see if the cake can hold it.

We had to use Chocolate Rose per our venue. We decided on cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake. The venue up-charged us so we paid $4 per cupcake and they were just okay. We asked for a certain frosting design and sent pictures over but on the day of they were just traditional boring-looking cupcakes. We also went with red velvet as a flavor but it did not have cream cheese frosting which was a disappointment.

Great presentation. Horrible on the inside!
I spoke with Erin to request a special cake for my husband's 60th birthday / retirement. I sent her the design which came out perfect. Unfortunately the cake itself was terrible. Crumbled upon cutting , it literally fell apart. No flavor it was the worst cake I had ever tasted! My husband loves cake and I wanted a bakery cake instead of store-bought for his special day. I sent her 2 PM's.. No response. It has been over a week now. None of my guests ate the cake. It ended up in the trash. I am so very disappointed not only in her professionalism but also her product.

Do not use this service. The fondant wedding cake that Erin delivered was unusable. The fondant was wrapped around the cake instead of draped over it. No attempt was made to even close the seem that was left. Huge air bubbles, lumps and cracks. No response from owner when complained. No wedding cake at my daughters fantastic wedding. Very disappointing. Photo says it all.
