My wedding was August 1, 2025.
My experience with Catherine, is a moment I will never forget. She became more than just your “wedding planner” she became someone who takes you under her wing. First, she is most the beautiful soul you’ll ever meet, and she wants your day just as beautiful as you will be as a Bride!
Catherine and her team will go ABOVE and beyond for you. My wedding was something I will never forget and will cherish, love and forever be grateful for.
I walked into our reception room, and I immediately cried of happiness. Everything I pictured and told Catherine she brought it to life and made my wedding amazing. You will not be disappointed with Catherine and her team. If I could do it all over again, I would a million times.

Wonderful team to work with!
Catherine and Jenn are a wonderful and adaptable team who brought my husband, Ged, and I’s dreams to life on our wedding night. We can honestly say that without Catherine’s help in our planning phase, we would have been overwhelmed with due dates and meetings. Thanks to her, we got to the Wedding Day without a hitch. We hired Catherine and her team for Day-of-Coordination, but was always only a phone call away if we needed any help prior to the wedding. Once the Wedding festivities began, Catherine and Jenn coordinated with all of our vendors, seamlessly transitioning us from the ceremony to photoshoots to cocktail hour and beyond. They saved the day on multiple occasions and we are so happy to have hired such helpful and talented people on our special day. -

Amazingggg
Catherine is absolutely amazing, kind, professional, extraordinary, elegant, fun, down to earth, and she checks all the boxes for what a day of coordinator should be!
Catherine was a superb day of coordinator for my sister’s wedding and we decided to have her for our day as well. If you think you can do this on your own and stay stress-free. Stop right there! Wedding planning can be very very overwhelming, and on the day of your wedding, you do not want to keep tract of everything for it to run smoothly. Catherine will always be my go to person for ANY EVENT!
My family and friends are still talking about our wedding, and they’re all just so amazed & asking how did I have everything so organized. It was all Catherine. I did not worry about a thing on that day. She did it all.
Her attention to detail, even the minimum thing you can forget… she’s got your back. I know I drove her crazy at times but she never showed it and she knew just how to comfort me in moments of stress. She made sure vendors were on time, she made sure the venue had everything how I wanted it. And most of all she always reminded me that everything will be as special as I wanted. She made me feel like she was family!

Calling all brides, hire Catherine!! She is THE best!!
I think of myself as a Type A personality, a very organized person. I thought I could handle all wedding planning-related tasks. I was wrong. Wedding planning can become overwhelming for ANY bride! I can honestly say that I was able to fully enjoy my wedding day because I hired Catherine. Catherine was by my side throughout the whole day. She steamed my dress, gave me helpful tips on the best foods to eat while getting ready, she made sure I ate during cocktail hour, she checked on family members for me -- the list is endless. Catherine was SO professional, kind, and comforting when I needed it most. I cannot say enough nice things about Catherine - she is well worth every penny and then some!! I cannot thank her enough for all she did for me (my fiancé was so grateful too!). I will absolutely recommend and urge my single gal pals to hire her when they are engaged. We hired Catherine as our Day of Coordinator, but she also assisted us with planning prior to our wedding day. At first, I thought to myself, Do I really need a day of coordinator? Well, let me tell you, I was 100% relieved Catherine was there all day to help us. She made sure we had all our items, no one was left behind, that we ran on schedule, coordinated to ensure all vendors arrived on time, gathered all our vendors COI’s, and was there to help when one of my bridesmaids had a dress malfunction five minutes prior to the limo’s arrival time. And she also made sure I got a picture with my dog once I was ready, and this is a big win for me! -

A life saver
I met Cathrine at a friend’s event that she organized and was blown away with her attention to detail. Just meeting her she immediately got my vibe and even showed me the venue I ended up choosing right there! She was beyond helpful with keeping me on schedule with our wedding time line. Every recommendation she had I ended up agreeing with and wow did it pay off. Our wedding was a dream and the day of was so stress free. Cathrine is a boss and if you want to enjoy your event and not have to worry about organization she’s essential. -

It’s all in the details!
Planning my wedding with Catherine was like planning your wedding with your most productive and brilliant best friend that grew up with you. She has so much experience in the industry and she gets it. My wedding was exactly one year ago, but as we rewatch the wedding video and re-live the day, I can’t help but think “‘my God—- I could not have done this without Catherine!!!!!” At first, you think things may start off slow because it’s practically a year away, but as the months approach, you get hit with a serious dose of reality. There are so many details, moving parts, and elements that have to work together. Then…. the DAY OF!!!! If you think you can plan a wedding yourself, go ahead. But at the very least, Catherine holds her weight in gold by being the ultimate DAY OF coordinator. As well. With all the things that popped up on the day of my wedding that were completely outside of our control (i.e bad weather, moved ceremony inside, bridesmaid dress zipper popped, fire alarm, baby wagon broke, etc etc) Catherine handled all emergencies like a true professional. I had no idea these things were even happening and I was stress free. Catherine helped me bring our personality to every part of the wedding and we are eternally grateful that she was our wedding coordinator. I would have a vow renewal in a few years just to have her plan the whole thing! She is detailed oriented, appropriately intense and extremely comforting. Thank you Catherine! -

Happiest Grandmother
I cannot thank Catherine enough for creating a masterpiece for my granddaughters Sweet 16! This event was very special for me. I wanted the best for her, and that is exactly what Catherine delivered.
I researched other event planners prior to finding Catherine. Their work was no way comparable to Catherine’s nor was their passion. She truly takes a vision and brings it to life. This was such a memorable event for my granddaughter, and I cannot thank her enough for all her hard and talented work! -

Absolutely Breath Taking!
The event I am writing about is my daughter's sweet 16 (which was basically eqivalent to a wedding). I cannot tell you how amazing Catherine is. She is the true defintion of talented! I remember walking in our venue and crying tears of joy with the work she did. Not only did the adults comment about how fabulous the decor was; the 16-17 years at the party were blown away! Not only is she an event planner she is so compasionate too. My mom is such a "nervous nelly." She wanted more than anything for this day to be special for my daughter. Ever since being diagnosed with heart disease, she is worried she may not see my daughter get married! Catherine was so calm and patient with her. Trust me, I did the research on event planners, and you are not going to nowhere get better than this! If you truly want your special event to be memorable I more than highly recommend Catherine Scerbo LLC. for your next event! -

I was luck to have found Catherine Scerbo Events,LLC. I used her for my daughters Communion. I wanted a candy table for the party and she did everything I wanted and more. I heard about Catherine through a friend. I told her my vision. After one phone call, I instantly knew that we needed Catherine. She had so many great ideas. The moment we met Catherine we knew we would have a beatiful event and she didn't disappoint. We had a very clear vision of what we wanted and she made it happen. If you are looking for perfection on your wedding day... choose Catherine Scerbo Events to help all your wedding dreams come true. I found Catherine's company online and I am SO happy I contacted her. She first did the "cherry blossom" candy buffet at my bridal shower and all my guest were blown away. She also did my wedding invitations, programs, menus, reserved signs, favor tags, custom escort card table design, and SO much more! I also hired Catherine to help coordinate the events on my wedding day. We had countless meetings and emails to plan out my special day. Catherine and her assistant Robyn made sure EVERYTHING ran smoothly. They contacted all my vendors and confirmed all my details. They even gave me a detailed timeline of all wedding events. I had about 20 boxes/ baskets of stuff to display throughout my catering hall and Catherine Scerbo Events made sure everything was where I wanted it. I did not have to worry about a thing on my wedding day because I knew Catherine would make my vision come to life. I will miss working with her... and I already can't wait to use her help to plan my next event. :-) -

I can not say enough about the services I received from Catherine Scerbo Events. Catherine did the most amazing job for my daughters sweet 16. She is professional, and a perfectionist who is not satisfied until everything is perfect. The complements I have received about my party have been amazing and I have had two guests ask me for her number. The candy buffet was beautiful and delicious.. and the room that Catherine designed was absolutely gorgeous!!. I could not be happier with the services I received. Catherine (NJ Candy Buffets and FYEP) is awesome!! I sent her an inquiry because I wanted to have a spectacular candy buffet for my guests' favors. Not only did she exceed my expectations and create the most amazing candy buffet I had ever seen in my life, but she also made beautiful menu cards, favor tags, and escort cards to complete my Fall themed wedding. Cathy was awesome! Because of our crazy busy schedule, we wanted a planner that will basically handle everything and anything about the wedding. We found just that with Cathy. Her attention to detail was phenomenal - from the invitations to the overall design were all fabulous! All the professionals that she recommended was great to work with as well. Our wedding was above and beyond what we expected. All our guests are still talking that it was the best wedding that they have attended. She was always available whenever I have any questions, thoughts or concerns. Love, love, love her! -

Catherine was spectacular! Helping my husband and I plan our wedding w/o any stress. With both our busy work schedules she and "for your event planning" made our wedding and complete fall design come to life. My wedding day was nothing but a "Wonderful Fall Wedding".....exactly what I dreamed it would be and more!!! I cannot express to you how much I loved her attention to detail and expertise in helping me w/everything and I mean everything. She deserves the only award for being the Wedding Planner of 2010;)
I would recommend for your event planning to every bride who thinks just looking for your perfect dress or venue is the only stress you'll have planning your dream wedding. Contact Catherine asap because she can get the job done;)

The best decision I made during the time of my wedding was hiring Cathy as my planner. She is professional, creative, and very easy to work with. I think about my wedding all the time and how perfect everything was that day. Without Cathy's help I know it would not have been such a wonderful day.
Cathy did so much for my wedding, one of the things was the candy buffet, my guests enjoyed it so much it was beautiful and I'm very happy I decided to have this as part of my reception.
I would definitely recommend Cathy to any future bride she is a pleasure to work with and she will definitely make your vision for your special day come true. My wedding was more than what I had ever imagined and the whole wedding planning and day of was stress free thanks to Cathy. Not only did I hire the best person to help me with my wedding but I also met a truly amazing person who puts her all into everything she does. I don't want to know what my wedding would have been like without Catherine's help, she was so great, made everything easy for us, and everything looked fabulous. I had my typical bridal pre-wedding panics, and she was always quick to put my mind at ease. On our wedding day she set up our candy buffet, and it looked a thousand times better than I had imagined! She took great care of me that day, too, making sure I ate, was having fun, and anything I needed, she did. Catherine even noticed the 2 minutes I was sitting down with some friends, saw that something may have been wrong, and came to me to see what was up. I told her nothing was really wrong, just taking a rest because my feet were killing me. She quickly went to my table, got my bridal slippers, and brought them to me. What a relief!
I can't thank Catherine enough for all of her help, like I said, I don't want to know what my wedding would have been like without her. I can't recommend her enough! -

I used Catherine, founder of For Your Event Planning, on my wedding day for "day of coordination". Although her main duties were only taking place on the actual day of my wedding, Catherine was wonderful to have in the weeks leading up to the wedding. She was always available for questions and she had two meetings with me prior to the wedding. She came to both the ceremony site and reception site to discuss day of strategies and how I would want things designed to ensure everything would flow as smoothly as possible. The week before the wedding she also called to verify with all my vendors that they would be there, what time and any details I gave her to go over with them. She gave me very helpful documents to organize my materials and made it so simple for me during the most stressful time of planning a wedding!
On the day of my wedding, I was stress free because Catherine and her assistant were there to take care of all of the details. I did not worry about one thing, literally! They made sure everything was perfect! One of the biggest reasons I needed Catherine was to set up my reception site with my centerpieces because they were not being delivered by a florist. They did a great job and placed all of the other small details (personalized napkins, favors, signature frame, cameras, etc.) around the reception wonderfully. She was there to the very end and even though my hotel was right next to the reception site (walkable distance), she gave me and my husband a ride in her car because it was getting cold. She was very attentive and not expensive at all for the two of them working the entire day for me. I would recommend her over and over again and would not hesitate to use her in the future for other things if I needed the help. -

I had For Your Event Planning create a candy buffet for our wedding, and it was amazing! My guests haven't stopped talking about the candy buffet. Catherine had wonderful ideas, and was quick to respond when I sent her an email. Also, she linked the candy buffet to our movie theme so it was a hit! In addition, I received day of coordination from For Your Event Planning. They helped me when I discovered that my garter belt was missing. I did not want to miss out on that opportunity so Carla and Catherine made me a garter belt using materials available. They saved the day, and we were able to include that tradition during our reception. The service was outstanding, and the end result went above and beyond what I expected. Thank you For Your event Planning for all the memories you created for our wedding day! -

I think about my wedding day all the time. It was beautiful!! The ceremony and reception were fabulous, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Catherine did such a great job preparing everything for our day and selecting the perfect professionals. She was very detailed, organized and creative. The Candy Buffet was incredible. I don't know what I would have done with out her and her team.

I hired Cathy to be my Day of Coordinator about a month before my wedding. I was stressing out about the details and knew that I didn't want to be worried the day of my wedding. I wanted to be able to sit back and have fun.
Cathy was an absolute PLEASURE to work with. She was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to stay in contact. We had two lengthy in person meetings in addition to a few phone conferences (not to mention many e-mails) in the month leading up to my wedding. She completely put my mind at rest. It was such a relief to know that I had someone taking care of everything that I wanted and in my vision. She took notes on everything and had a very clear idea of exactly what I wanted for my wedding (not what she wanted for me). Cathy did a great job coming up with a day of timeline and making sure everyone was on time and on task.
I also hired her to do a Candy Buffet which was gorgeous and huge hit!
She is probably the vendor I would recommend the most out of all the ones I hired. -

I loved working with Catherine! She was very professional but she also made me feel she was personally invested in my day. She put together the most amazing candy buffet for my Halloween wedding. I booked For Your Event's day of coordination package for my wedding on August 9th. The package went way beyond just "day of", including several meetings before my wedding to work out every little detail of the day, a visit to my venue for the final walk through a few weeks before, calling all the vendors that had been booked to verify expectations/arrival times and so much more! I would definitely recommend Catherine to anyone planning their wedding, she and her assistant really made my day stress free and i was actually able to enjoy every minute since she arrived at the venue early to set up all of the little details that i had planned, i really could not imagine my day going anymore perfectly! -

Catherine is very professional and an expert in wedding planning. I trusted her completely and appreciated that she paid attention to details and was responsive and helpful during the planning process.
On the wedding day, I was kept worry-free and that's exactly why I booked a wedding day coordinator (if there were issues, then Catherine or her assitant approached others/vendors about it and I was none the wiser). At the end of the evening, all our items from the reception and bridal suite were packed and ready to go and that alone is worth the price of the services. Who wants to pack up stuff after a night of dancing and fun?! I certainly would have forgotten something, but this was taken care of to the last detail. For this, I recommend anyone hire a DOC, and Catherine is perfectly capable for this duty. -

We let her go....
I have time today.
We booked our wedding venue in January 5, 2019 and I was going back and forth if I wanted to hire her full service. We chose her A La Carte event designing and gave her 50% deposit on February 20, 2019. Our wedding was October 15, 2019.
Just so you know now before you read the whole review, WE LET HER GO and lost our 50% deposit. I was very straight forward with her and when I had my now husband to fire her, she told him she didn't know I was upset. When we actually fired her, she left a nonchalant voicemail and text with no formal apology.
ORGANIZATION & COMMUNICATION:
The first thing I noticed was she was disorganized and I did not feel like she valued our business. I observed that she didn't write clear notes and I always initiated a follow-up for everything. For example, 3 months before the wedding, she thought I was only going to have 80 guests when we told her from day one we were have 150. Another example, I needed to know a quote for a design idea and I gave her more than extra time to get a quote but still waited for a long long time. All we did was wait for her! So much so that it was 3 months PRIOR to the wedding and NOTHING was done. She won't VOLUNTARILY communicate what it was that was prohibiting her from following-up with us. She would always use the excuse that she was getting too many messages from other brides and my message got lost. Yes, something personal did happen in her life and I understood that but as a business woman myself, I would have sent a formal email to ALL CLIENTS letting them know what is happening. We didn't feel like she conducted her business communications well, especially after forking a 50% deposit early on.
RESOURCEFULNESS & CREATIVITY
She definitely was not the most resourceful when it comes to ideas and didn't negotiate prices. All the quotes were out of this world ridiculous. I initially wanted to fill the place with white balloons, that was gonna either cost 12K, 10K or 9K. Then we wanted streamers on the walls and ceilings which will costs 25K. Me and my husband are artists and we needed someone to think outside the box. She is not that type of planner. She was not after my heart when it comes to my vision and decoration ideas. She didn't pay attention to what I've said REPEATEDLY. I told her I didn't want flowers anywhere and no table runners and no girly, frilly things. She tried to fit us in the COMMON BRIDAL box time and time again so she can do what she's done for other brides over and over again. It was absolutely frustrating repeating myself. We were VERY CLEAR from the beginning, we didn't want the basic and common wedding ideas and we urged her to think outside the box. I figured if she was proud to be creative, she can handle it..... clearly, no.
WHAT WE ENDED UP DOING
My husband, friends and family, especially my mom, did ALL of the decorations. It was stressful but I would rather do that than continue working with her. We didn't care about the deposit because she was stressing me out because of her lack of just basic business skills.
Who knows, all these might be a business strategy so we can hire her for full service but if I can't even get a text back.....
