I was so lucky to find Josie through a friend of mine who hired her in 2008. When I saw the number of photographers to choose from, I had no idea where to begin and I was overwhelmed by it. It made such a difference seeing the wedding pictures that Josie shot of my friends wedding and hearing such positive things that I was already sold before I met her. When we met, she was so sweet and seemed so honest, I trusted her right away. She included an engagement session in our package and I love the pictures. I was nervous about being photographed but she made us both feel so at ease. It really helped on our wedding day having already worked with Josie. I am so happy that she was available because she captured all of my wedding in a heartfelt and artistic way. She also did a beautiful album for us. She truly seems to love what she does and wants to deliver the best product she can. We have no regrets, only great memories. To rate Josie honestly, I would need a 6.0 with Value for Cost.

If anyone tries to tell you that the cost of the photography package is in proportion to the quality of photographer/photography - they are so wrong. Josie, the business owner of Captured Events, loves her job and it's more about her clients and getting to take photos, than any price tag. Always generous and courteous, I found no fault in all of my interactions with the company or Josie. Contract was fulfilled in an extremely timely manner and she made the photo-taking part of my wedding day very stress free.

Artistic, classy, FUN, and professional are all words we can use to describe our wedding photographs. If you're looking for someone who can capture your wedding day at it's best, look no further:) We had Josie as our photographer and truly could not believe we found the photographer we had hoped for after search after search. We wanted someone who was easy going, artistic, affordable and NOT your average photographer, which there are TOO many of. We had no "posed" shots; all the pictures showed how incredibly special our day was. What we liked most about working with Josie was how natural everything was. Looking at our pictures, you would think we knew Josie for years. She has an amazing way of making your beautiful day, even more beautiful. We just received our album and everyone who has seen it has been in awe with her work. We can not say enough about how great our day was and how special Josie made it for us. Knowing you had your most memorable images captured in the way you wanted them to be captured without doing it yourself, says something about your photographer. She is truly a rare find and if you're lucky enough to find her, SNATCH HER UP!

Josie was absolutly wonderful. The pictures she took of our wedding captured every single emotion from all of our guests, and ourselves and the came out beautifully. She was not intrusive and had great ideas of capturing beautiful settings for our portraits. It was a pleasure working with her, and will love my pictures for years to come.

Josie Donatelli was great! Her flexibility and professionalism, combined with her willingness to work within our limited budget, helped to make my son's wedding a beautiful and memorable event that we will cherish for many years to come. The quality of her photographs, and suggestions were outstanding. I also could not believe the number of photos that she took throughout the evening ( over 800!!!!) Josie is a truly brilliant photographer!
Josie probably wouldn't want me commenting on her age, but I believe photography is one of those things that only get better with age.
Josie is an "old-school" photographer that relies on her instincts rather than high-tech gadgets.
To excel in Event Photography, the photographer needs to "see the future". Especially for Weddings where everything is fast paced and "moments" constantly come and go, the photographer needs to see the moment before it actually happens. If a "moment" is occurring and the photographer is not ready, by the time the camera is lifted to the face, the moment is gone. Josie is one of those gifted people who just "knows" when something special is going to happen. She already has the camera focused and ready to shoot half a second before that amazing smile, laughter, and precious moment. Sure, having a state-of-the-art camera with blazing fast auto-focus is cool, but it is no substitute for a pre-focused shot done by a good eye.
Josie is also amazingly flexible and will go that "extra mile" to make you happy. Talk to her and explain to her what you exactly want/need and she will make it happen.
I was so inspired by Josie that after seeing my Wedding Photos, I went and bought myself a Nikon DSLR and now photography is my favorite hobby!

Josie Donatelli is an extremely talented artist. She certainly found her calling in photography! She helped make our wedding a dream come true and I get to relive the day through her photos. She captured every moment without being intrusive. She captured every personality and every emotion of the wedding party and guests.
