Amazing and understanding!

CakeWorks pulled through in the 11th hour for us. Prior to ordering from them we had the understanding that our reception venue would be providing the cake, but a little over a week before the event we find out that they, the reception venue, no longer have a person for the cake. Our coordinator scrambled and found CakeWorks would do our cake in the flavors we wanted and would have it ready for our event. Thank you CakeWorks, the cake is/was amazing, yes we are still eating it.

Yummy cakes!

Everyone loved our cake at our wedding. One thing though is our cake didn't taste the same as the cake in the cake tasting box so I was a little disappointed with that but otherwise is was still very good. To save money I recommend doing a small cake for cake cutting/photos and a sheet cake for your guests.

Incredible, beautiful desserts

We got our wedding cake and a selection of desserts from Cake Works for our wedding on April 30, 2022. From the second we decided to go with them, Cake Works helped to ensure that our wedding cake looked and—more importantly—tasted perfect. They also gave us the opportunity to come by the bakery beforehand, talk to someone to make sure all of our questions were answered, and try the different cake and frosting options.

At the actual event, everything was almost perfect. I say “almost perfect” because we actually ran out of desserts. We bought more than enough for our number of guests, and everyone had a lot to eat at dinner, so it really says speaks to how delicious everything was that there wasn’t a crumb left behind.

Everything was beautiful and delicious, and we are already planning to get another cake for our first anniversary.

Just the best wedding cake

Cake Works made the most incredible cake for our wedding! It was as delicious as it was beautiful! We could taste the island's feelings and love in the passion fruit cream filling and cake flavor!!!! Thank you again!

First off communication was professional and easy. We had little changes here and there for our cake design and size along the way. On the day, our cake was absolutely beautiful and our guests are still talking about how delicious it was! Thank you Cakeworks for adding such a special piece to our wedding experience!

First and Foremost I would like to express Our greatest Appreciation and Gratitude towards Chef Abi and her wonderful team at Cakeworks for creating such a Magnificent and Beautiful Artwork of a Wedding cake. As the Groom who was lovingly #VOLUNTOLD, LMAO and trusted to be in charge of this task I felt lost & had no clue on where to even begin. Thank Goodness Our Venue coordinator referred Chef Abi to my Wife & I. She was nothing short of being the Nicest, Welcoming, Informative and Friendly Person you can deal with. Chef made me feel comfortable and stress free, She was very professional, prompt and quick to answer any questions thru emails and phone calls. She was able to design, render& create My Wifes dream Cake as perfect as can be. Not only was it ridiculously Yummay, It was very Elegant, Pretty and Fitting for such a Blessed & Magical Occasion.

Thank you Cakeworks! We had a simple but very delicious cake for our wedding. The pistachio cake was amazing and the pistachio brittle was the perfect compliment. Everyone loved the cake and it's still being eaten (as opposed to being thrown out). Delivery was just as expected and they were very responsive and flexible when we were trying to figure out delivery times and last minute adjustments. Thank you again and try their delicious cakes!!

Btw the pricing was for a two-tiered cake plus a full sheet cake for guests.

We had a great time planning our cake and desserts with the team. They were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the process. The only thing that threw me off a little was that I ended up having to pay for an orchid plant to get flowers for my cake when I thought it should have been included already when the design was discussed. Other than that minor hiccup, the cake was delivered, it was gorgeous and delicious, and it all worked out in the end. I was very happy with everything and my guests enjoyed everything as well. I just wish I ate more cake that day...

CakeWorks created the surprise Grooms Cake for my wedding! My husband used to DJ and the cake was Headphones on top of a record, just how I imagined it. My husband loved the cake! They were so responsive to my request and the cake was AMAZINGLY good. Thank you so much!!!

I live in California and ordered a small cake for a party of 14 for my son's wedding at Roy's Restaurant in Hawaii. My contact was Koree. Very professional and helpful with making a decision about what cake to get. I chose the strawberry and cream cake which was beautifully made and very delicious. Thank you so much Cake Works of Hawaii.

If you ever go to Hawaii and need a cake Cake Works is a must!!!!

Cake Works was recommended to us by our wedding planner at ABC and we could not have been happier! Our beautiful three-tiered wedding cake was a huge success with our guests. For the design, we had white buttercream with spatula marks and cascading orchids and greenery. It was gorgeous.

Did I mention the flavors were amazing?? The pistachio flavor was such a hit that we had guests take the remaining few pieces home to Mazatlan, Mexico and Seattle, Washington! Thank you, Cake Works!!

The cake was gorgeous! The design went above my expectations and looked beautiful. As a bride, my biggest fear was my food allergy to gluten, I was so worried I wasn't going to be able to enjoy my wedding cake but luckily Cake Works served a gluten free devils cake and it was the best cake I have ever tasted. At the tasting they were professional and willing to made any ideas I had come to life. They were super nice, understanding and prompt.

The most I like about cake works is that they respond and work very well and closely with the costumer and they call and confirm delivery date time and address what tops it all time on deliver was right on time!!! Love it! Cake was ono and I would love to order from them again!!

Our wedding cake and dessert bar were amazing as evident by the lack of leftovers after the wedding! I managed to sample a macaroon at the wedding and a chocolate covered strawberry afterwards. We also served an assortment of mini cupcakes and macaroons. Also our lilikoi flavored wedding cake was beautiful and from what I tasted during our cake cutting, it was delicious! Thank you Abi! I can't wait to order more delicious cakes and desserts from you!!

We are very pleased with Cake Works! Allise helped me all the way and she patiently helped me out no matter how many times I changed my mind on the cake design. I had the following below for our wedding:
2-tier cake for cutting :
Top = 6" haupia coconut cream cake w/ mint green fondant top tier with small bundle of sugar flowers (i.e. single blush pink peonie and two smaller sugar flowers) at the base.
Bottom = 9” mocha macadamia cake w/ blush pink fondant bottom tier with mint green real ribbon border.
½ sheet cake (strawberry guava) for guests

We found CakeWorks through The Wedding Cafe Hawaii. They offered a coupon for free wedding cake sampling, so we decided to do it. We had an appointment/consultation with Allise. She was very friendly and helpful. We only showed her pictures of what we wanted for our wedding cake once. She wrote everything down and on our wedding day, the cake we imagined was there.

Allise was very easy to work with. She made sure that we were able to get the wedding cake of our dreams. She also responds to emails in a timely manner even though she is a busy woman. We are glad that we chose CakeWorks to do our wedding cake.

I am extremely happy with Cake Works Bakery. I had to place a last minute request for a small wedding cake. It needed to be made in less than 1 week. I was given their name and number and I made contact with Daniel.

He was more than helpful and beyond patient with me. I’m in California so this was a long distance coordination effort and would be sight unseen for me. It took a little time, but all the details were finalized and the cake delivered to the restaurant that coming Saturday.

It was a complete surprise and delight to the Bride and Groom (who had not ordered one). They and their guests were amazed and impressed to have such a lovely, delicious cake for the celebration.

I can’t thank Daniel and all the fine people working at Cake Works for all their help in making it all possible.

Cakeworks did an amazing job! We wanted a fun cake that resembled our love for World of Warcraft, a video game my husband and I play. Cakeworks designed a cake that went above and beyond what we imagined, and it was so delicious! Thank you, Cakeworks!

Cake works made the most amazing cakes for my wedding, that my guests could not get enough of. I told them what I was after and showed them one picture, and the cakes turned out better than the picture. The flavour was amazing and I wish I could have kept them forever because they were so cute. Luckily I took a lot of photos :)

We were very pleased with Cakeworks. They were very responsive over email and my multiple mind changes! Our order was not very large, however they were always fast in responding to me, and delivery was perfectly on time. The cake was amazing - and everyone especially loved the Coconut Cream cupcakes!

Our wedding cake from Cake Works came out simply beautiful!!! We sent them a photo of the Chinese and Japanese characters we wanted to use on our cake and they were able to place them!!! Our cake was not only beautiful but it tasted amazing!!!!

My sister and I met with the owner of CakeWorks in Hawaii. She was very nice and professional. We tasted some wonderful cakes, and came up with 3 different cupcake flavors with a 6" tier. They delivered the cake to our venue on time, and it looked just like we had discussed. My husband and I were very happy with our cupcakes and cake, and they all tasted so good. Everyone enjoyed the little cupcakes, especially the kids :)

Chef Kathi recommended this service for me and well what can I say. The cake was absolutely delicious, especially the Haupia Coconut Cream and the Lilikoi! I am leaving out the Chocolate one just because I am not a chocolate fan in general but everything was truly delicious. We also chose the design and they made the cake exactly as we wanted. Couldn't be more happy with our wedding cake!!

This cake was simple and elegant, absolutely lovely flowers! The lilikoi flavor was the best, and the cake itself was so moist. I always wanted delicious wedding cake more than pretty, and I got both.

It was about a month and a half before the wedding and I still needed a cake. In a panic, I started emailing several companies to see who could make a cake for me for that day. Cakeworks was one of the two places to respond back. I went down to their shop and tried a bunch of the cakes they could make and ALL were DELICIOUS! It was not even an issue that my wedding was less than 2 months away. They let me customize whatever I wanted and delivered exactly on time. The cake was as beautiful as I pictured it would be and tasted great! Whenever I'm in the area, I still like to stop at their shop and buy a couple of cupcakes. :)

Our wedding planner used Cake Works for our wedding cake and cupcakes, the cake was vanilla bean with chocolate filling, YUM! so light and fluffy, it was gone in no time! The Cupcakes were chocolate with buttercream icing... to die for! Thank you so much!

I was really particular about the cake we had and what I wanted it to taste like. I didnt want your typical "bland white wedding cake". Abi and her crew at Cake Works went completely over and above my expectations! I sent them a picture of a cake I wanted and honestly? as detailed as it was...I figured it would be out of my price range. Not only were they they most reasonable of all the bakeries I contacted..but when I saw my cake at the wedding...I almost cried. It was truly...perfect. It looked EXACTLY like the picture and the taste?! OHMYGAWD!! It was by far the best tasting cake I had ever had. My guests all have raved and raved about how delish our cake was. One of them headed to their bakery the next day to purchase cupcakes. They also did the CUTEST grooms cake for my new hubby. He LOVES carrot cake and they did an adorable beach themed cake for him. He took one bite and said "this tastes just like the one my grandmother made." He was beyond thrilled. Their service was awesome and Debbie answered each and every email quickly and with all the information I might need. We will be back for an anniversary cake ladies :)

Cakeworks was a life-saver. When our original vendor told us a week and a half prior to our wedding that they could no longer do our cake, we were in a panic. Trying to find someone with the design aesthetic, flavor of cake, and, more importantly, time to do it was daunting to say the least. Cakeworks accommodated us with a tasting without a scheduled appointment and produced an amazing end product that all our guests loved. The two types of Lilikoi flavors(Blueberry and Lemon) were amazing; light, refreshing, and so appropriate for our Hawaii wedding. We highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely loved my wedding cake from CakeWorks! My husband and I had a small, intimate destination wedding and ordered a 6" red velvet cake for our family which was to be delivered at a reception dinner. CakeWorks was one of only a few bakeries I found that would even consider making and delivering a cake that small. They delivered it to a local restaurant on time, and had it refrigerated until we were ready for it which was very helpful. The cake looked and tasted exactly like I hoped it would!! It was decorated beautifully and tasted amazing! The CakeWorks staff was very helpful via e-mail and always responded quickly. Given the opportunity, I would definitely use CakeWorks again!

My *new* hubbs and I ordered a simple, 2 tier guava and french vanilla cake... YUM! The service was fast and friendly, the design simple and elegant. We were able to provide our own accent ribbon, and provided extra flowers from the florist to add some color to the simple white fondant frosting. The cake was delicious and was a big hit for the guests. The pinkish color of the guava layer even matched our coral color :) Overall, two thumbs up and five stars!

We love our cake and everyone exclaim how beautiful it looks. I really wanted a beautiful and fancy 5 tier cake. However we know that we only wanted to save the top tier and use the bottom tier for our cake cutting ceremony but I didn't want to spend so much money on a 5 tier cake if we are not planning on serving it. The staff at cake works was able to make it happen and i got want I wanted. Our wedding cake was beautiful and no one at our reception realize that the 3 tier in the middle was faux cake. And not to mention our real cake was delicious! Overall: awesome work!
Tip to brides: If you are planning on not serving your cake but only wanted it for decoration and cake cutting, make sure to let your cake vendors know what you want.

AWESOME!!! There is nothing they cannot accomplish! I went into their store with a recording of a wedding cake I've SO dreamed of even before my husband and I decided to get married. Unfortunately, the recording was on a good ol' VHS. Abby at CakeWorks managed to find a VHS player and sacrificed her vacation day to watch and analize my 6 tier wedding cake and made my dreams come true. Not only that, but I went back to the store a month before our big day, with a sketch of a grooms cake I wanted to order. The result . . .it definitely exceeded my expectations, and my husband and his friends were extremely excited as well.
I tuely believe that CakeWorks is a "cutting edge" cake shop which specializes in cake sculpting and decorating to dazzling new hights. OH, don't forget . . . thier cakes are very yummy, and everybody at the store is very friendly as well.

I emailed her a picture of the cake I wanted and she was extremely flexible to work with (a great relief since I live and South Korea). My husband and I were able to come in less than a week before the wedding to do a cake tasting to pick out the flavors. The cake turned out BEAUTIFUL and tasted soooo good! I got 2 different flavors white butter cake with passion fruit filling and strawberry guava. YUM! I highly recommend Cake Works!

Cakeworks did a great job with our cake! I explained to them the simple cake I wanted, dropped off toppers and some roses for decorations and the cake came out just as I had imagined.
Plus, not to mention their cakes TASTE good too! We had red velvet with buttercream frosting. Yum. We only had 2 real layers and the bottom was fake, but you couldn't tell. Guests were actually disappointed that they couldn't eat more cake.

My wedding planner coordinated the cake for us, but it was absolutely beautiful, and most definitely the best tasting wedding cake I have ever experienced! The cake arrived a little early, so they held off delivering it to the site for a bit, but the cake delivery person was very accomodating. Once the cake was set up, it was absolutely beautiful! Better than I expected. The best part though was the fact that it tasted so good! Even the fondant (which is usually pretty much inedible) was delicious!

Cakeworks did a wonderful job on my wedding cake. I only wanted a simple cake with a ribbon I provided around each layer, and it was very nicely done. The most important thing to me was that the cake actually tasted good! And it was very yummy! We had 3 layers, dobash, haupia, and carrot. I waffled back and forth about the size of the cake to get, and they were very nice about my indecisiveness. They are by far, the most reasonably priced as well.

This is the former Mary Catherine's bakery. Our cake had guava, lilikoi and haupia layers, and every flavor was delicious. My family ate all of the extra cake in the week after the wedding. We emailed some sample pictures to give an idea of what we wanted, and the result was exactly what we had asked for. The cake prices were reasonable as well. We definitely are happy that we went with them.

Although I live on the East Coast, and my wedding was in Hawaii, Cakeworks was very convenient to work with. They were very responsive to my phone and e-mail requests and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. I sent Cakeworks a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like, and it turned out just right. The red velvet and mocha macadamia flavors were absolutely delicious.

We really wanted a castle cake for our fairy-tale wedding. She worked really closely with me so she could make what we wanted-- She was awesome. I also am, allergic to wheat and she made me a layer of "chocolate decadence" which was wheat-free. Before I found her, I wasn't able to find anyone who would make us a castle cake for a reasonable price and who would give me a gluten-free (wheat-free) cake. I love her. I LOVED MY WEDDING CAKE! Unfortunately, we weren't able to taste the cake flavor prior to selecting it so we relied on recommendations from many chat groups. We selected strawberries and cream and it so extremely delicious! The cake looked EXACTLY like the photo we sent them and I have no complaints whatsoever (our cake was extremely simple to begin with, so I don't know what they could have messed up on, if anything). The ordering process was done over the phone and via emails and responses were very timely. We ordered a two tiered 6" and 10" cake that was not served to our guests since we had a dessert spread included in our lunch buffet.

Abigail is very delightful to work with. Being a groom, I was a little apprehensive about the planning for the big event. One small mistake can be catastrophic. When we met with her, she spoke to both of us equally and I got to add some input which led me to have a great cake experience. She was able to recreate the same kind of elegant flavors that I'd experienced as a boy in Europe. Who knew such talent could be here in Hawaii? When we changed the cake to match the new bouquet arrangement, she moved seamlessly in that direction, changing the colours and some details of the design. We loved our cake. I took in a photo of what I wanted my cake to look like because they didn't have any samples photos in their photo book, and it turned out perfectly. And, even better, the cake was SUPER scrumptious. We over-ordered on the size to make the cake look pretty so should have had at least 50 pieces leftover. But our guests loved the cake so much everything completely disappeared by the end of the night. My only regret is that I was so busy I didn't get to have a second slice. Two years later, I'm still dreaming about our cake. Yum!

We ordered the Passion Fruit with mandarin oranges and the coconut- both were great! the cake was so moist and flavorful. I made some changes to the design of the cake a few times and the designers were more than accommodating. They listened to exactly what I was envisioning, but also made suggestions on how to make the cake look even better. The look and taste of the cake were both unbelievable. I absolutely recommend them and will be stopping by on our next trip to Honolulu!

I lived in Honolulu for about 2 years and discovered this place just by walk in one day. I bought the strawberries n' cream cake and the first taste I was hooked for the rest of my time there. I bought different cakes from them just about weekly I was so addicted. Unbelievable texture and flavor. I have never had more fluffy creamy perfect cake. Nothing has ever topped it since.

I hired Cakeworks for my wedding on January/2012. I am from Canada, so did not have the chance to go for a taste test or meet them prior to my wedding day. I just had to keep my fingers crossed that everything worked out! I was pleasantly surprised by our cake when I saw it at our wedding reception- it was beautiful, just what I was hoping for! The best part was when we actually got to eat it!!! BEST cake I have ever had!! We had chosen both red velvet and strawberries and cream for flavors. Both were amazing! I'd have to say the red velvet is definitely my favorite! I'm so sad that I live so far away and can't order more cakes from Cakeworks! They were very reasonably priced as well! Definitely recommend!

Had my daughters destination wedding in Hawaii at the JW Marriott over Thanksgiving.I had to arrange everything from afar.Abby was wonderful to make suggestions for flavors.I sent a e-mail picture of a cake, I wanted her to copy.I was very worried about the long distance arrangements,holiday weekend etc.

Lovely wedding cake! Everything I dreamed for. Made for a great setting in the reception area, and great photos by all who took photos of the cake. The taste was not the best, but wedding cakes are never the best tasting cakes. It's more about the look. This company has much better deals than other wedding cake bakeries in the area. It cost several hundred for the cake, as opposed to nearly a thousand. Would recommend this outfit to anyone.

I went to see Cakeworks just 6 days before my wedding. They listened to exactly what I wanted, a naked cake, rather than a traditional cake with fondit, and they also helped me with a flavor profile that was not too sweet. I am untraditional in that I don't like sweets, strong frosting, or chocolate. Even though that was the case and we were working on short notice, we had a fantastic cake. Guests at the wedding even commented that the cake was delicious.

The cake we ordered from Mary Catherine's was a beautiful green concoction with three different flavored layers. The daisies were fresh and pristine, and the cake was a hit with the guests.

Just a quick note: all of the information about Mary Catherine's is correct, except they were bought out. The new owners, who renamed the bakery Cakeworks, did a stellar job.

For us, Cake Works created a first for them - a Taj Mahal cake. Abbie responded to my calls and emails promptly. We back-and-forthed until we were both satisfied with the product and price. I would advise placing the order at least a month ahead of time so images can be shared until it is just right. I think there was just enough time to get the job done. Our friends were talking about the taste and image of the cake long after the party.

I ordered a groom's cake, cupcakes & a 2 tier wedding cake for my son & daughter-in-law's wedding. Upon our appointment visit, the service was super. Nothing else was needed until the day of the event. The cake was delivered and set up as planned. It was nice. Colors were exactly what bride & groom wanted. We were a little dissatisfied with how the cakes were decorated. We were hoping for a more elegant look with the fondant decor and more of a thin layer of fondant on the cake. The cake parts and frosting were delish though. My son & daughter-in-law celebrated their 1st anniversary and the *top cake was still perfect!! Cake and all!! It was fondant outside with white cake/fresh strawberries inside. It was just as fresh as on their wedding day!!
*Keep top cake in original box then completely wrap box with saran wrap/cling wrap a few times around and under. Store in freezer. Day before anniversary, unwrap box & place in refrigerator to thaw over night. Take out about 30 minutes before serving.

I found Cake Works on theknot.com, like I did many of my vendors. My photographer was also pretty stoked when he saw that I chose them for my cake! They took all of the ideas that I had from several different cakes and were able to integrate it into one! My paperwork and emails did seem to get lost in some transition that they were going through, but over all, the cake turned out perfect (and all over my dress and in my nostrils at the wedding).

This cake was soooooooo delicious! They didn't call back for a few days, hence the low rating, but our planners swore their price and taste was the best in town, so we went ahead and place our order. We ordered their lilikoi cake which was amazing, back home we don't have tropical fruit so it was nice to experience something tropical like this! yum yum!

I ordered to cakes from them. One for my wedding cake and one for my parent's anniversary which we were also celebrating at the wedding. It was a great price and you can't beat it anywhere. The only thing is that they were late in delivering it the day of my wedding. Other than that, considering that I had ordered simple cakes, there wasn't much to mess up on.

I got married on 8/7/16 in Kualoa Ranch, it was a destination wedding. Based on reviews and pricing, I went ahead and booked Cakeworks. I worked with Leilani. She responds through emails in a timely manner. Honeybook is their main form of communication and payment. Being that it was a destination wedding, I sent Leilani pictures of what I wanted my cake to look like. It was going to be a simple look because I knew I was going to add some fresh flowers and my own decorations to the cake.
Prior to my wedding, I did a cake tasting at Cake Works with my Maid of honor and we chose 2 flavors: Strawberries and Cream and Lilikoi Lemon. Both tasted great! Unlike some reviews, we had unlimited tastings and we were not charged a $20 tasting fee.
Cake Works pricing was reasonable. I ordered a smooth champagne fondant with white monogram D on a 3-tier 2-flavor cake serving about 50 people. They do charge on delivery depending how far the wedding venue is. They don't charge on how many flavors you want on a cake. I loved how the champagne color and the monogram D turned out. The flavors turned out delicious and we received compliments from our guests. My only caveat since my wedding was outdoors, the heat and humidity caused the 2nd tier on my cake to tilt a little to the right. Other than that, everything else was beautiful.
I recommend Cake Works. I can't really judge them on creativity because I gave them a picture to follow. However, their service, tasting, pricing, and flavors will not disappoint! Mahalo Cake Works!

Our cake was divine! I had a picture in my mind and the folks at Cake Works made it a reality. They dove in to a style of artistry they hadn't tried before (ombre airbrushing) and they nailed it! Our cake was demolished in just a few minutes with guests enjoying 2nds and even a few going back for a third slice! It was so moist and absolutely stunning. Thank you!

The cake was delicious. We had 3 tiers, mocha macadamia nut crunch, red velvet, & chocolate haupia. Although we didn't want fondant, I'm really glad they recommended it. We had our wedding & reception outdoors, so I didn't have to worry about it melting. I know most people don't like fondant, but it wasn't too bad and if you don't want to eat it, it is very easy to eat around. They even have cupcakes, very yummy!

Our cake was beautiful and delivered on-time. We had a two-tier cake with fresh flowers. I'm not sure if all cake vendors do this, but in order to get an appointment/consultation, I had to give a non-refundable $25 deposit that could be used toward the cake purchase. Luckily, I've had one of their desserts before and planned on going with them. Otherwise, I might not have been willing to pay the deposit if I was still shopping around for other cake vendors.

My cake turned out beautifully and tasted great. They did exactly what I wanted. The wedding coordinator did most of the communication with them, so I didn't have to really deal with them directly. But they had no problems either. They of course let us try the flavors ahead of time when we went in the store - no appointment needed. I would recommend them as a cake vendor.

I chose this bakery because they were quick and offered competitive prices for beautifully designed cakes. Through them, I chose a simple white cake which a floral designer friend of mine decorated. It turned out perfect.

Our 3 layered cake was absolutely beautiful. The Lilikoi with fresh blueberries was amazing. The red velvet and guava cake was unfortunately dry. A bit disappointing considering it was a bit pricy for the cake.

My initial cake vendor was Satura Cakes but they unfortunately closed their business a few months before my wedding and so I had to scramble to find a good replacement.

Cake Works was recommended to me and I decided to go with them based on some positive feedback that I heard.

My cake design was pretty difficult so I am not faulting them entirely for not meeting my expectations. I would say in terms of artistry, they are not very strong but with taste, it was great. For people with complex cake designs, I would recommend to probably go with another vendor.

I specifically requested for a water fountain cake and Abby of Cakeworks said that they can do it for about $800.00. I went with them, instead of going with my other choices. I went over the paperwork/order receipt that Abby of Cakeworks wrote up and it was clearly noted that there is to be a water fountain.

When I finally saw my cake during my wedding reception, there was NO WATER FOUNTAIN to be found! Apparently, Abby from Cakeworks had mistakenly forgotten about the most IMPORTANT factor that I specifically requested. I was furious and completely disappointed, as this was a once in a lifetime event for me.

It took me a couple of days to calm down, before I could call them up to find out what happened to my cake. Apparently, Abby told me that they can refund me for the water fountain charges, only. That's it??? Are you kidding me??? I told Abby that I wasn't satisfied with her solution and that she'd have one day to think of a better offer.

The next day, I went in to Cakeworks and Abby agreed to provide me with a $370 gift certificate that I can use at their establishment within the year. I figured that was a better deal than what she originally offered the day before. I could have been a cold hearted you know what, but I had just gotten married and it's my Husband that completes me... not some wedding cake. So, I warmly accepted Abby's offer and left Cakeworks in a gracious manner.

Seriously, if you're going to get your wedding cake from this place... I strongly suggest that you stay on top of them like white on rice. Otherwise, their cakes and pastries are delicious.

Cake turned out the way we wanted it, after we could get them to take our order. Had trouble initially convincing them to answer the phone and then that I was serious about purchasing my wedding cake from them. However, on the day of the wedding they did a really nice job setting up the cake at our reception venue and the cake looked really good. It tasted pretty good too.

I hate to be the bride who leaves a bad review but I have to be honest! I had the most perfect wedding and the only thing wrong was the cake. It looked beautiful! 5 stars on looks alone if thats all you care about. But it was the most dry, flavorless cake I've ever had. Which is a huge deal for me because I loveeee sweets and it killed me to see the cake sitting on all the tables uneaten! I could just tell that none of the guests liked it and I took one bite and felt the same. Not only that but they mixed up the flavors on the cake tiers, so my guests ended up getting the special flavor I picked for the groom and I to have as the top tier. This was extra upsetting because I clarified this with Koree extensively via back-and-forth email about how if I couldn't have red velvet on the top then I didn't want a top tier. I know not everyone even likes red velvet which is why I didn't chose it for my guests. Too bad because it was a beautiful cake, I just wish it had tasted like it.
