Delicious cake and very professional
The cake came out amazing. She’s definitely a bit slower to respond but she gets everything right and really came through for our wedding. Our guests loved the cake and it came out exactly as I wanted. -

Tasty cake and cupcakes
I had one layer fir me and my husband to cut and 120 cupcakes five different flavors, and every flavor was to die for. Everyone was telling me how good the cupcakes were.

Beautiful Simplicity
Thank you Crystal for the perfect cake on our big day! We asked for something simple for my husband and I and big sheet cakes for our guests. She delivered this simple request in the most beautiful way - it shows her attention to detail and caring nature for every order. Cakes Creatively was wonderful!
Cakes creatively made us the most beautiful cake. The cake itself tasted amazing. We barely had any cake left over. All of the guests loved it. We also ordered cookies from cakes creatively for our wedding and those were just as delicious. I would highly recommend Cakes Creatively. The delivery was timely, the price was great, and the cake was even better. -

Crystal is so easy to work with and makes DELICIOUS cakes. Her European buttercream is to die for, and her cake was so moist and fluffy compared to other vendors we tried. On top of that, her gorgeous design was affordable and everything we imagined for our big day! -

From the very first time we met Crystal, she was so personable and attentive. We knew we were looking for someone like her to make our wedding cake...and that was before we tried her delicious cakes. The European buttercream was exactly the right amount of sweet and it truly made Crystal’s cakes stand out from the other ones we tried. We ended up doing a 3 tiered cake with a mix of flavors and fillings since we loved so many of the flavors. I wanted our cake to tie in with the rest of the fall themed wedding decor and so, Crystal decorated the cake beautifully with fresh flowers—it was a huge hit! -

I wish I could save everyone the time of choosing a wedding cake vendor / artist / baker. I started my search looking for the top reviews on different websites. Then I took those, and looked at the cake designs themselves - which helped weed out a lot. Finally, I took price into consideration. My now-husband and I tried 3 vendors on that short list, and were blown away by Crystal. She is the triple threat: Delicious cakes + elegant designs + affordability. Best choice in Columbus! -

Crystal created a beautiful - and delicious - cake for my client last weekend. She was a breeze to work with and she worked closely with my client to bring their vision to life. The couple offered boxed leftovers as a favor and there wasn't a single box left, it was that good! -

We had committed to a different cake vendor and had to back out with this company because the individuals were not responding to emails or delivering on their promises.
Chrystal was an absolute breeze to work with! She was prompt with her email responses and was able to address any issues that came up. My family and I were very impressed by her professionalism.
Perhaps even more importantly, her cakes are delicious and imaginative! Several of our guests emailed us (unprompted!) after our wedding to say that they had two slices of our cake because it was so delicious.
Chrystal allowed us to be inventive with our cake -- both on the outside and inside. We were very pleased with the final product! -

Crystal did a fabulous job! She was even able to incorporate a design from our invitations into the design of our cake. Her icing is the best icing I have ever eaten! Not too sweet but super creamy! -

Crystal was awesome to work with. We were on a budget for the cake and she listened to what we wanted and didn't push for things we didn't. She nailed the cake design we asked for and of course, the different flavors of the cakes we chose were so good (well, even the ones we didn't choose were good!). I only wish I was able to eat them all at the wedding! Thanks again for being part of our special day. -

Crystal was wonderful while I was planning my wedding! She always responded promptly and had so many great ideas for our cake! Our cake matched the venue and theme of the wedding perfectly! Cakes creatively by Crystal did an amazing job on the wedding cake, as well as the variety of cupcakes/display. From the beginning of setting up a time and place to meet over the Christmas holiday to delivering the cake on wedding day Crystal made sure we had what we wanted and needed. Chrystal is so easy to work with, very flexible, and not only provides an AMAZING and beautiful cake, but many helpful suggestions and samples! We also purchased the "bride" and "groom" chocolate covered (white chocolate for the bride) strawberries for the bridal party ~ and they LOVED it! Her prices are very reasonable and the cake was DELICIOUS!! My daughter and I "shopped" for the perfect cake and price, and I would highly recommend her to ANYONE! -

We were very pleased with our wedding cake! Our cake served up to 125 people and we were able to get 3 different flavors. The flavors were all amazing (strawberry almond, chocolate with peanut butter chunks, and lemon blueberry). The design was exactly what we had discussed and looked beautiful. The cake was by far the best cake we tasted and was very affordable. Crystal was very easy to work with and did an amazing job! All of our guests could not stop talking about how great the cake tasted. -

Crystal was fabulous to work with! From the beginning when we set up the initial consultation until the end she was professional and responsive. She resonded to all my emails quickly and worked with me to find a great style cake for our wedding. We ended up getting a 4 tier cake and cake pops and both turned out moist and delicious! Our guests were raving about them. The cake pops got eaten so quickly that I didn't even get to try one. Not only are Crystal's cake delicous, but the designs are great as well. I almost did not want to cut into it because it turned out so well. -

Crystal was awesome! She did a 3-tier cake for our wedding in November 2013, as well as a (surprise) groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner. It was a replica of Ohio Stadium & was a huge hit. I recommended her to a friend, who used her services for her wedding the month before mine. My friend opted to do cake pops, which were delicious and beautiful. Crystal was very accommodating and was able to meet us at a neutral location for the first tasting. She was very patient & allowed us to make multiple changes in the months leading up to the wedding, which my husband & I appreciated, since cake was the one thing we hadn't thought much about. She even called me the day before our wedding to check in & make sure the details were squared away. I highly recommend Cakes Creatively by Crystal! -

Crystal made my wedding cake and it turned out perfect! When I saw my wedding cake for the first time I cried, It was gorgeous! I never once thought I'd get emotionally over my cake while planning my wedding. Crystal did a fantastic job and was very easy to talk to. -

Crystal was absolutely wonderful to work with. I stumbled upon her booth at the first bridal show I attended and her cake was by far the best I had all day. You can't beat her prices either. She's extremely personable and my fiance and I really enjoyed our tasting...we had a LOT of cake and a lot of laughs. She delivered the cake on time and it was exactly how I imagined it. I highly recommend Cakes Creatively by Crystal...and the almond cake : ) -

Crystal was wonderful! Personable and creative! She makes beautiful and tasty cakes. I walked into my reception and was wowed by how gorgeous it was! The only thing I chose to eat at the reception was my 7 different flavors of cakes and they were all wonderful! My favorites: lemon blueberry and pumpkin! Cakes Creatively By Crystal was absolutely amazing! I was an out of town bride so selected all my vendors through reviews from other people and they were all 100% correct in the wonderful things I read about Crystal and her cakes. She was so easy to work with and you can't beat her price (she could charge way more so get her before she is super popular!!). We communicated through emails and she knew exactly what I wanted. The cake was one thing I never worried about. She was right on time with delivery and I never had to stress over anything with her. We had a fall farm house wedding and had chosen the Pumpkin, Vanillla Butter, and German Chocolate cake flavors with the buttercream icing. My guests loved every single choice! Especially the pumpkin!! It was a Huge hit!! People are still telling me how delicious the cake was and they have never had better! My husband is picky about icing and he said that it was a perfect cake. We are still eating it! I would recommend her to anyone!! -

Crystal made my dream wedding cake come true! The Mister and I did not want a traditional wedding cake. I wanted a strawberry shortcake and he wanted brownies. I found pictures of these ideas to share with the venders we met with. After repeatedly hearing that it would be next to impossible for my strawberry shortcake to last in the summer heat, we had our meeting with Crystal. She had no concerns about it so I put my trust in her. The cake did just fine, was beautiful, and tasted wonderful! She did a brownie tower for the Mister which was just as perfect. I was an out of town bride and found Crystal very easy to work with. She always promptly responded to my emails. Most importantly she was willing to work with us to make sure we got our perfect wedding desserts! -

My cake was Delivered On-Time and exactly how I had asked for it. No one else could come anywhere as close to the quality of cake I received for the Price. Absolutely Professional and anyone considering having any Pastries or Cakes done would be a fool to use anyone else. When I asked for last minute changes She was able to accommodate them without problem and above all , She really showed that she cared for my event and that everything would be perfect. A+++

I actually googled great cakes in central Columbus and cakes creatively popped up and I'm so happy they did! I figured I'd need to go set up a few different appointments to find exactly what I wanted taste and for looks but the second we sat down and started talking about my ideas she never said once that couldn't be done and even helped me narrow down my ideas - once it came to tasting her samples I knew she was the one! Her cakes are exquisite and I couldn't narrow the different number of flavors down and she said she could put 2 flavors per layer - it ended up so beautifully, tasted absolutely AMAZING! and she was right on time and I couldn't have asked for anything more! I can't wait to eat the rest in a year!!

My cake was far more beautiful and delicious than I could have ever imagined. It was exactly what I wanted despite not giving tons of directions. I simply showed a few pictures, described what I liked and didn't and she took it from there. We had 5 different flavors and each one was fabulous. My favorite was pumpkin and my husband loved the red velvet. Everyone raved about our cake. We didn't save our top layer as we plan to get a fresh cake next year for our anniversary. She was flexible and friendly, and we were so impressed with the final result! All of our guests commented on how the cake wasn't dry like a lot of wedding cakes are. Cake was the last vendor that we dealt with. We aren’t cake people so it was the last on our list and I’m thankful that it was. We weren’t in a rush to hire a cake vendor so we took our time researching the best price quote with the quality of the product. I came across Cakes Creatively by Crystal and set up an appointment. Although we aren’t cake people I knew that if I was going to eat cake it was going to be what we like. Crystal made the most amazingly moist lemon cake that I’ve ever had and we hired her right away! She makes the best cakes! I wanted something simple that looked homemade. Nothing fancy just fresh flowers and icing along with our custom cake topper. When we walked into the reception room as it was still being set up my eyes went straight to the cake. It was so beautiful!!!! She took what we wanted and made it even more exquisite! Not only was the cake beautiful it was delicious! For two people who don’t like to eat cake we had a few pieces! Everyone at the wedding was raving about how delicious our cake was. Several people had multiple pieces! The cake was moist and the icing was the perfect balance to the sweetness of the lemon cake and strawberries. Crystal was so wonderful. With delivery and a cake stand rental we still came in under budget! I know if we ever have to order a cake for a special occasion we will use Crystal again. She is a delight and I can’t wait to work with her again in the future! -

Heard many times at the wedding, "One of best cakes I've ever had!" My daughter asked for a specific theme cake and they worked closely with her to give her exactly what she wanted. From our first meeting with her to working with her prior to our wedding, she took care of all the details, and knew what she was doing. We didn't have to worry about a thing with the set-up. The only reason I gave a 4/5 for flexibility was because she only meets with you in Reynoldsburg, which is on the opposite side of Columbus from where I live...however, it is well worth the drive. -

I would recommend Cakes Creatively by Crystal to everyone getting married! We did a cupcake tower with a small cake as the top tier. The set up and display was amazing and sooo cute! We did 4 flavors with small and large cupcakes and they tasted great! Everyone loved the flavors and with the small cupcakes were able to try a few flavors. When I first met with Crystal I knew I was going to hire her for several reasons: 1) The cake samples were delicious and she had a wide variety to satisfy any taste. 2) Her design profile was excellent! I'm certain she could do absolutely anything you wanted. 3) She is an amazing person to work with. 4) The price was incredibly reasonable. We sat down for our initial appointment and in less than 30 minutes she was able to hash out everything my now husband and I could possibly want for our cake. My guests are still raving about how delicious the cake was and since several guests couldn't make it we thought we would have tons of leftovers...we were wrong. Every last piece was eaten! Aside from taste, her design was amazing. I sent her a photo of my dress and I wanted her to take some of the lace components for the piping design. Her design was spot on! I had no doubts or concerns when hiring Crystal she made me feel confident in her services and she delivered an amazing product. I hired Crystal simply because not only is her cake the best, she herself takes pride in her work and wants to ensure you are completely happy. Crystal had so many options for cake flavors and so many beautiful designs. We went with a simple scroll design on a 4-tier round cake with a couple sheet cakes in the back. Crystal added fresh flowers to the cake and it looked beautiful. The flavors were amazing! Usually I do not like wedding cakes--the fancy flavors end up tasting too sweet and dry to me--but Crystal's cakes were moist, delicious, and fun! I loved how many options we were given with flavors. We also wanted gluten-free cake for a few VIP wedding party members and loved that Crystal could make one for us. We received many compliments on the cake. It was also in the 100s the day of our wedding and the cake frosting looked beautiful the whole time! I'm so excited to eat our anniversary cake! -

For our wedding, we decided to do cupcakes with an invidual cake on top for myself and the groom. It all turned out beautiful and people loved the different flavors of cupcakes we had. They were all gone by the end of the night! Crystal sent us a drawing of what the cake would look like and was perfect in the end! We loved all the colors and she was great to work with. -

Crystal was so easy to work with and her cakes are fabulous! She did our wedding cake and it was so wonderful. We were able to meet with her ahead of time and taste all her flavors. The final product blew us away. She is wonderful! -

Crystal was very accomodating from the first contact to set up a time and place to meet over the Christmas/New Year holiday to the delivery on the wedding day. The cake was beautiful as well as the variety of cupcakes that we had and the set up of the cupcakes was awesome. The cake/cupcakes were very fresh and delicious!!

Cakes Creatively by Crystal was awesome to work with! At our first meeting she brought plenty of cake types to try out. Once we decided what we wanted she was welcome to any changes in our order up to 2 weeks prior to the event! She had an amazing flavor for fall- pumpkin spice!! We were more than thrilled with the decoration as well. She did exactly what we asked for! I would definitely recommend her to anyone. -

Final cake was gorgeous and delicious! Would definitely recommend. You are responsible for returning cake base if you use hers so make sure you have arrangements soon after wedding to return because that was the only issue that came up for me. Great price for the value you get though! -

Crystals created a beautiful cake for my wedding. She was flexible when we made changes to the cake as well. The cake was delivered on time and was delicious. The only thing I was not excited about was her responsiveness in emails leading up to my wedding. Other than that she was great. -

Crystal helped us out a lot while planning our wedding by knowing and understanding what we wanted so well. During our planning process, my husband had moved out of state for a new job, and I had remained behind to finish my college degree before joining him. Planning something like this from two different states was a nightmare, and we were often unable to meet with our vendors together if at all. Crystal got a handle on what we wanted right away and needed very little coaching to make it a reality for us. The cake was delicious and beautiful, and I can't wait to have some more next year! The cake was also budget-friendly for us, and crystal had us pay in 3 installments. We knew what all of the installments would amount to and when they would be due before we signed the customer contract with her. -

Let me start by saying my cake was designed beautifully. She was able to recreate the picture I gave her wonderfully. My only disappointment was that it was not the right color. My cake was supposed to be a champagne or tan color. It was actually pink. With wedding colors of Burnt orange and Chocolate Brown, the pink did seem a bit out of place but the beauty of the design made up for it. The flavor was average, it didn't appear to wow anyone as much as the design did. Over all I would say it was "ok". I would recommend her but with the caveat of mentioning my own experience. -

Let me start out by saying... DELICIOUS!
My husband and I are not really "cake people"... We were considering not even having cake at our wedding, but decided that for the guests, we would go ahead and get a cake. I heard about Crystal from a friend who is using her for her wedding in November. By her tasting alone, she highly recommended her. We ended up getting a small cake to cut, a grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner, and cake pops. Let me tell you... these cake pops were amazing!!! People were raving about them, and as weird as this sounds, my Dad found a leftover pop still in the cake stand when he was cleaning the next day, and said it was still moist and delicious! The grooms cake was great as well - my husband is a hunter and she created a 2-tier cake: the bottom was camoflauge and the top was a tree stump with our initials "carved" in, completed with fondant deer antlers on top. So grateful for her work!!
The only reason I didn't give her a 5/5 is because she typically only meets with you at a Panera in Reynoldsburg, which wasn't very convenient for us. I'm sure that if we were in a bind and needed to meet with her somewhere else, she probably could have made other arrangements - she seems to be nice enough to do that for her clients, but we just sucked it up and went to Reynoldsburg :) -

Disappointed
This vendor came highly recommended to us by friends that used Cakes by Crystal for their wedding. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t great. I felt like she was extremely hard to get a hold of, and when I did was not clear or precise in her email communications. I arranged to pick up a cake tasting box, but I (by fault of my own) had not seen the email in time that day to make it to the shop before it closed. I called in the next morning to tell the store front (which is a coffee shop) to let them know i was coming to get the box later when i got off work. I drove 45min to get the cake, only to find out the tasting box was thrown out because she thought I would be there earlier. Super bummed and disappointed overall -
