  Fantastic to work with

  Our reception was at the Contento Vineyard. It was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a tent or barn setting and it was both. Kathy was fantastic to work with. There was a tiny church in Hopland and she knew the caretaker and was able to get a key. It ended up being this tiny little white church, Little House on the Prairie style. It was perfect, and we ended up getting married there. Would never have happened without her. The whole team there is awesome and joy to work with.

  Kathy and the entire Brutocao family were so accomodating, helpful and pleasant during our wedding planning process and the weekend of the event. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went smoothly! We loved having our wedding there and recommend it to everyone!

  This venue is a dream come true . I got married mid October . And the view of the clouds and the vineyards changing colors is truly breathtaking. My guests were so impressed . It also makes decorating minimal because you don't need much with the gorgeous view you get. From the moment we saw it's knew we had to have it .   The Brutocao Contento Vineyards site was wonderful. It has the most stunning views and is perfect for an outdoor wedding. We had our ceremony on the lawn, dinner under the tent, and dancing in the open-sided barn. All of our guests thought the venue was just wonderful and well worth the trip.
  Kathy was very helpful in answering our questions and with scheduling time for us to visit the site in the planning stages.
  You get the site from Friday to Sunday which is perfect for the rehearsal dinner.
  Because it is in Mendocino County, the noise curfew is 11PM rather than 10PM in Sonoma or Marin County.
  You do not have to purchase their wine, you can bring in anything you want, although they do offer a great price on some wines for the event.
  There is not much for lodging in Hopland, but Ukiah has several hotel options and Mendocino Transit Authority was very reasonably priced for providing transportation.
  Our wedding was everything we imagined at Brutocao, I am so grateful that we found it.

  Brutocao was an amazing site! There was a wedding the day before ours, which made me a little nervous. I was worried about how everything would time out for the site being cleaned and set up for our ceremony and reception. The staff went above and beyond my expectations! We live in Colorado so there was quite a bit of coordinating involved. Kathy Richter was very helpful and always replied to my emails etc. in a timely fashion.

  I wish I could give Kathy and Contento Vineyards/ Brutocao 10 stars. They made our wedding truly magical in every way! First of all- Kathy was a gem to work with. She is so friendly and was the most responsive person ever, especially for a couple as super-detailed as us!! The venue is an absolute dream. Countless guests told us it was the most beautiful venue they had ever been to!! Pretty pictures do not do it justice- you have to visit to believe it- our jaw dropped when we got there. It has rolling hills of vineyards for miles, a beautiful and large white tent, and a big rustic barn for dancing!! We were even featured in StyleMePretty! I love also how the venue was a blank slate for us to design and build upon it as we wished- such as bringing in our own catering and drinks. We got an amazing deal on their wine as well (which was optional but I highly recommend it!). THANK YOU Kathy and team for making our wedding so dreamy and wonderful. :)

  This is an absolutely fantastic venue. The only issue is that it's pretty far north of SF/wine country, so people need to be prepared to travel and take traffic into account. But the venue itself was amazing and we still get compliments at how gorgeous it was. Same for the schoolhouse, people loved the venue and raved about it.

Kathy was always lightening quick to get back to me when I had questions, and she was extremely accommodating. The venue was perfect for what we wanted for a party (outdoors, bocce courts, a place for live music), and the cost was extremely reasonable. They make no stipulations about what caterers you use or where you get your alcohol. They also rent chairs and tables which came very much in handy. It's great that they are so hands off, but it also means that you will be running the show on your own unless you hire a coordinator, so that's the only thing to keep in mind.

  When you get engaged and begin looking for a wedding venue it gets a little discouraging when you see the cost of everything. We searched for the perfect outdoor wedding site that didn't cost a fortune and that allowed us to bring in our own vendors....and when we pulled up to Contento Vineyard in Hopland, CA we knew we had found the perfect spot. It was absolutely beautiful! The old barns, vineyards, large tent and the view of the rolling hills couldn't have been a better spot. It is almost unheard of to get a wedding site for the entire weekend in wine country especially for the price we paid. And to make it even better Kathy was excellent to work with and very accommodating. Every single one of our guest kept coming up to tell us what a beautiful spot we picked and that it was one of the nicest weddings they had ever been to. We have even had a few people recommend the location to a friend for their upcoming wedding.

  Brutocao Cellars - Contento Vineyard site is a fantastic wedding venue. It has a large capacity, easily fit our 150+ wedding. Beautiful setting on top of a hill in their working vineyard, with a spacious white tent and party barn for dancing. There is also a cute bonus bar, luxury (air-conditioned!) portable bathrooms and catering tent. The family run vineyard and wedding site went above and beyond our expectations in helping us create our perfect wedding day. They were quick to provide us with information on the site, local vendors, filled the freezer full of ice before the event and when we ran out were able to come up with more very quickly. The 3 day flat rate was perfect. We were able to relax when it came to our schedule and use the site for our rehearsal dinner and morning after brunch as well.
