    Amazing cake

    Mitsy’s cake: tasted so go good . The red velvet was my favorite!!
    My guests kept asking who made the cake and I recommend them to Misty. It was a beautiful cake ,it tasted specular .

    So cute and soooo delicious!!!

    Misty was so easy to work with! We made a decision on a cake less than 2 weeks before the wedding and she was so flexible with us!! She has so many unique flavors to choose from and they were delicious! We went with a white cake and an apricot filling! She was down the street from our venue in Fallbrook and delivered the cake and cupcakes for us. Our florist worked with her to flower the cake and when I finally walked into the reception for our entrance, our desserts looked incredible! She was reasonably priced which made our decision easy. Thank you Misty!

    Misty is amazing and so are her cakes! She was very easy to coordinate with and was able to have our initial meeting last minute. We wanted a very unique but fun and delicious cake at our wedding. We got the whole package! Misty really listened to what we wanted and was able to bake us our dream cake. All of our guests loved it! From the taste to the way it looked, we had many compliments. We had some leftover cake that we were still eating a week after our wedding. It was just as moist and delicious as it was on our wedding night! We had to reschedule our original wedding date due to Josh's deployment, but Misty was able to make our cake for our new date. She is very easy to work with. We definitely recommend Briarmist Cakes to anyone who needs a cake for any event! You will not be disappointed!

    We had Briarmist make our wedding cake. It exceeded our expectations! The cake was a beautiful work of art. In fact, some of our guests thought that the cake was fake. Not only was it stunning, but it was so delicious! We were lucky to get a taste during the cake cutting, because there was not a single slice left by the end of the night.

    Misty is extremely professional. My husband and I were planning the wedding from out of state and she was so kind to work with my family in town to deliver a cake better than we could have ever imagined. Misty you are truly gifted! We are eternally grateful for your services. We highly recommend Briarmist Cakes services!

    Misty was great! Her friendy demeanor made working with her easy. We reside in Florida and she was very flexible with our travel dates to schedule a cake tasting. The cake was fabulous!! Our guests ate still talkin about it! The flavor and design exceeded my expectations by far! I highly recommend Briarmist for any occasion.

    Thank you Misty/Briarmist Cakes for making the most beautiful wedding cake of all! Absolutely gorgeous down to every detail! Everyone was thrilled. During our first dance, I looked over and saw the cake table and just was so thrilled! It was just so magical and went so well with our fairytale wedding! I loved the flowers and the colors and how you were able to duplicate the cake from the cover of the Weddingstar magazine I carried around for an entire year!     PERFECT! What a beautiful creation! She really did take a simple enough idea and make it something special. We got a ton of complements on how classy and original our cake was. Even the people who worked the venue told us they'd never seen a cake like that. We're thrilled with Misty. She was easy to work with and really helped us pick a cake that was perfect for the theme and our personalities. Perhaps more importantly the cake was so yummy. It was tasty and moist! Briarmist really is something special. We couldnt be happier!

    Misty was wonderful and her cake is mouth watering! Not only did my cake look like something out of a magazine, it also tasted good too! She nailed it in terms to making it look EXACLY like I wanted! The negative reviewer must be "extra picky" - because my cake was wonderful... I would definately recommend Briarmist cakes!

    I loved my wedding cake. My husband and I were most excited to go cake tasting when planning out wedding. Misty from Briarmist was the first stop for us. She offered us a variety of cakes and fillings to taste. My husband is a chef and when he walked into his kitchen he was very impressed by the cleanliness of it and how organized it was. The cake also impressed both of us. We have been to many weddings where the cake does not taste good. We loved every flavor that Misty offered us and settled on a Devils Food with strawberry filling on two layers and white cake with strawberry filling in the middle. We loved the cake so much that the morning after the wedding my husband and I ate the whole top layer which was suppose to be frozen until our one year. I will go back to Briarmist for future events. I will recommend Briarmist to any bride. You will not be disappointed.

    Our wedding cake was included with our venue package and Briarmist was one of the vendors that was available to us.
    We enjoyed our cake tasting and thoroughly loved our cake on our Wedding Day.

    Briarmist offers a wide selection of flavors for wedding cakes, and from our tasting experience we can tell you that they're all delicious! We went with the apricot flavor which was very refreshing and tasty, and the guests loved it! Regarding the cake design, there doesn't seem to be a limit to what Misty can do! She can make the most elaborate designs or keep it simple - it's completely up to you! If you have an idea for a design, she'll happily hear you out and have a discussion with you. We would definitely recommend Briarmist to anyone looking for wedding cakes in Temecula/San Diego!

    Our cake was beautiful and delicious! Misty had some very creative ideas and executed my vision perfectly! Her cakes aren't the cheapest in town, but they're definitely the best! Her cakes are full of flavor, very moist and simply beautiful.

    Amazing cakes at a great cost. Designed straight from the pictures that I wanted. Many flavors to pick from, very professional with delivery and set up!

    I was reccomended to Misty by the Grand Tradition. The cake she made for our wedding was perfect. She made it just how I asked and it was delicious. Everyone loved it. She is friendly person, professional, and the cake arrived on time. I would reccomend her to anyone :)

    We worked with Misty and she was so helpful. We were in and out so quickly at our first meeting and we had exactly what we wanted. We tasted some of her wonderful cakes and made our decision... we loved our cake and are so happy to have worked with Briarmist.

    I found Briarmist Cakes on Wedding Wire and was very pleased with our cake. We worked with Misty and she delivered exactly what we wanted. Everyone raved about our cake and how beautiful it was as well as how good it was. It was great working with her and would definitely recommend her to any of our friends.

    I used Briarmist as my cake vendor because my reception venue works exclusively with them. I brought a photo of a cake I really liked into Misty's [the owner/baker] shop and she was immediately enthusiastic about it! Even though she didn't have the specific flowers that appeared on the cake, she assured me she could recreate them. Sure enough, the flowers looked perfect on our wedding day and the cake itself was beautiful. It tasted great, too! :) My only complaint with Briarmist was that when I was trying to touch base with her in the weeks before the wedding, her mailbox was often full, so she wasn't available to discuss the cake with me. In the end it all worked out though, and that's what matters!

    We hired Briarmist to make our wedding cake. I brought Misty (the owner) a picture and she was able to make the cake look identical! It was so beautiful. However, she was very hard to get a hold of since she was in the process of moving shops. I expect that's probable better now that she is working out of her house. The only other reason for the less that 5.0 rating is the taste of the cake. I've never had fondant before so I don't have any comparison, but the fondant that was on our wedding cake didn't take very good. After my husband and I had our one taste during the cake cutting, we didn't want any more. It was even hard to swallow that one bite. I've since asked around and most of our guests agreed that the cake wasn't good. They just scrapped of the fondant frosting. But that was the only issue with the cake. It turned out beautiful and I don't think any other vendor could have made our cake as beautiful as Misty did.

    I was hoping that I would not have to write ANY negative reviews for my recent wedding; however I felt that after my experience with Briarmist Cakes, future brides needed to be warned to avoid the same outcome. My husband and I had tasted at several bakeries, and when we went to the tasting at Briarmist, we were thrilled with how delicious the samples were and placed our order feeling confident that our cake would be spectacular. About a week before the wedding, I get a phone call from Misty (the owner) about the final payment for our cake that my husband had already dropped off 2 weeks prior. I didn’t appreciate the “attitude” of her call either, but let it roll off my back since I had so many other things going on. She had misplaced the check and later found it on a shelf in a bag. On our wedding day, I was mortified to see that the vintage cake topper I had purchased (Barbie and Ken Wedding Day) had been punched through the fondant and Ken was leaning sideways, almost completely falling off. This was because Misty dropped the cake off and left, not sticking around to properly put the topper on (who knows who ended up doing it). When we cut into the cake…it did NOT taste anything like the cake we tasted at the bakery. The fondant was WAY too thick and the cake was dry. To my horror, one of my good friends said “I know that you would be honest with me about this, so I wanted to be honest with you and let you know this cake is pretty awful.” I then began to look around the room and saw one person literally take a bite and discreetly spit cake into their napkin. Nobody ate the cake, and we were left with almost an entire cut cake. We were disappointed, and I made sure to contact Misty right away to find out what had gone wrong. She did not return my email, so I called her to discuss this situation. She was immediately rude and defensive. She was speaking over me, and telling me that “there was nothing wrong with my cake” and “her cakes are delicious.” I then told her that I was not there to argue with her whether or not SHE thought the cake was good, we were not happy and I would like to resolve this matter to both of our satisfaction. Her response? “THERE IS NO RESOLUTION TO THIS.” At that point, I hung up and contacted my venue to take further action. It was only AFTER the venue spoke with her that she sent me an email and said she could not figure out why we didn’t like the cake and that she spent several hour s hand cutting the decorations for our cake (which was not the issue at all). The outside of the cake was exactly what we asked for and beautiful, so it is a real shame that she decided to behave this way instead of offering any type of solution. She was rude, unorganized and unprofessional. Again, this is unfortunate because this was not the type of treatment I expected from someone who supposedly has such a great reputation. At the end of the day, I had a wonderful wedding I guess there are other things that could have gone wrong. The cake was a big disappointment, and I still don't know what went wrong, but I hope my review saves other brides from having the same experience I did. It was the most important cake of our lives, and we hated it.
