Phenomenal!!

Kristen is an absolutely phenomenal photographer. She shot both our engagement photos and our wedding photos, and they are nothing short of perfection. More than that, she is the sweetest human being! We were very nervous about not knowing how to pose for our engagement session, but our fears quickly melted away when we realized Kristen is INCREDIBLY experienced, efficient, and can make even the most unphotogenic people feel comfortable and look stunning. Photography is one of the most important aspects of a wedding, and after our engagement session, I immediately knew I could trust Kristen with our big day; and she didn’t miss a beat. She captured every moment of our wedding perfectly, which is incredible with only one shooter. She was assertive in the best way and helped us stay with our timeline. She then delivered our amazing photos extremely quickly. Everyone I’ve shown our photos to has been blown away with how beautiful they are. Kristen made the process so stress-free, she was always very accessible, she loved hearing any ideas I had, and above all else, Bluefire Photography memorialized my wedding in the most beautiful way, and there’s no one I’d trust more!!

Couldn’t have asked for a better photgrapher

KRISTIN IS AMAZING. Seriously, if you’re looking for an amazing photographer with affordable options - she’s your lady! I truly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer or supporter during the wedding process. When our original venue shut down, she was super flexible & helpful with getting things figured out. I truly cannot express how grateful I am for her! We will 100% be using her for all our future photography needs!!!

She makes you look gorgeous

I hired Kristen in December 2018 for my wedding in Castroville, Texas. Kristen not only is a photographer but a Director. Things move so quickly on your wedding day, you need to get as many shots as you can. Kristen will get your money's worth of photography that will last a life time. Also, I have my own insecurities about certain angles and she always got the best shot of me. She made my vision a reality. She took shots that made me look gorgeous! People always ask who took my photos and I gladly recommend Bluefire!

I love her!

If I could have Kristen follow me around all the time to take my picture, I would. She's absolutely amazing. Not only is her work phenomenal, she's a joy to work with. My now husband and I are the most awkward people when it comes to taking pictures. Kristen gave us great directions and helped it feel less weird. She suffered through a 38 degree, 40 mph wind bridal session with me and the photos are AMAZING. And she was so professional, yet kind, at my wedding helping herd my family and friends where they needed to go. Book her and you won't regret it.

My husband and I got married on June 3rd, 2017 at Scenic Springs in Helotes and had the PLEASURE of working with BlueFire Photography!! Our photographer, Kristin Blue, I don't even know where to begin! She was such a pleasure to work with and helped make our wedding day an absolute dream! She brought out our personalities in the pictures and helped us create the shots we wanted! She always had a smile on her face and helped put us at ease throughout the whole process-
Not to mention she did all the heavy lifting helping us wrangle our entire family (63 members) for a group picture (not sure how you did it but THANK YOU!!!!). Again, I can't say this enough but I would highly recommend working with Kristin to capture those special moments of your day. Thank you Kristin for everything!!!!

I can't say enough about how great Kristin is! I would recommend her to anyone. She is lovely and personable, but also very professional. It was important to us that we didn't spend a lot of time taking posed pictures on our wedding day, and she captured so many amazing ones very efficiently. After looking at her website, I loved her work and wanted to book her regardless, but when I came to look at the price I was so surprised at how reasonable she is. I think it's incredible value for such an excellent service and end product. When I was getting dressed, we had some difficulty trying to get my dress to sit just right, and she even helped us to sort that out. All the guests loved her, too!

AMAZING photographer! Kristin is by far the best vendor we had at our 15 year vow renewal ceremony and reception. Frankly, she is better than the other photographer's I've seen used at weddings I've recently attended. She was so professional and personable, I loved her from the second I met her. Kristin made our day joyous and forever beautiful! And the photo booth she offers was a huge HIT with our guests! I can't wait to book her again in the future for other events. :)

I cannot say enough great things about Kristin!! From the moment we met her, we knew she was going to do an amazing job capturing our special memories. Kristin and her husband did a very good job capturing our wedding day. We didn't have a set place for our after ceremony pictures but were able to go to a park and she made it work! My bridal portraits came out amazing as well! I loved every single one of them. I highly recommend them to anyone in the San Antonio area looking for a photographer.

Kristin Blue of Bluefire photography has been absolutely fabulous to work with! She corresponds in a timely and professional manner. My fiance and I met with her to discuss details and look through some of her portfolio, and her work is stunning! Her packages provide options for many photography visions. Kristin is BY FAR the best photographer out there! Not only are her pictures incredible, but she is AMAZING at what she does. My husband and I met with Kristin and knew within minutes of meeting her that she was the perfect photographer for us. We live almost 3 hours away from San Antonio, which can make it nerve-wracking and stressful while picking a vendor and working with them. This was not at all the case with Kristin. She was always accommodating and always willing to help us and answer any questions that we had. I never felt worried or concerned that we weren't going to get the exact pictures we wanted on our wedding day - she literally captured every moment we asked her to capture and so much more. I was extremely particular when it came to the family pictures after our ceremony - my husband and I both have large families and we wanted several specific pictures taken. To top it off, we wanted it all done as quickly as possible because we wanted to be partying and hanging out with friends and family at our reception as much as possible. Not only did Kristin accomplish this with flying colors, she got every single family picture taken PLUS a mini bridal session for me PLUS a session with just me and my husband done in 45 minutes - unheard of! She was also so wonderful throughout the day before the ceremony - she arrived hours before the ceremony to capture the getting-ready process, and these photos ended up being some of our favorites! Everyone complimented her and how nice and relaxed she was the entire time. We are still receiving compliments on how great our photographer was. She truly was a joy to work with and I cannot say enough great things about her. If you are looking for a wonderful person to work with, look no further than Bluefire Photography. Kristin is the greatest photographer and you won't find anyone better to work with on your special day!

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Kristin! She is down to earth, funny and very personable. Within five minutes of our initial consultation, I knew Kristin was our girl! She keeps it real, is straightforward and it is obvious that her work is her passion. My husband and I had such a blast working with her that there were times we couldn't stop laughing (also came out great in the photos since it was so natural). I was a little nervous about being photographed but I felt so comfortable with Kristin it was as if I had known her for years and was just hanging out with a friend! I could go on and on about how great she is to work with, but her work really speaks for itself. Her vision, creative edge, and skill that was evident in every photo really sets her apart from all the rest. I will be using Kristin for all of my future photography needs, and will be recommending her to everyone I know. As a matter of fact my made of honor loved her and her work so much that she just booked her for her upcoming wedding as well.

From the moment I first met Kristin I knew she was amazing! She was always very prompt with emailing me back whenever I had questions and was also very encouraging to set up and appointment and meet face to face when I was starting the process of searching for a photographer. She took our engagement photos, bridal photos and wedding day photos and was amazing each time! The day of our wedding was also great because she was so nice to help out with fixing my bustle when my bridesmaids couldn't remember how to do it. Overall amazing experience with BlueFire Photography and would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer! :)

Kristin Blue is a talented and innovative photographer. She is reasonably priced compared to other photographers (other popular photographers charge upwards of $3,500 and more for weddings) and her work is absolutely phenomenal. I could not be more pleased with my wedding photos! I am still in amazement at the quality of her photos, her ability to work with my large bridal party, and how she truly has an eye to capture those special moments- candid and posed. Kristin was working the entire night of our wedding to ensure that she captured small details, our guests, and our expressions. She is easy to get in contact with, flexible with your special requests, and extremely professional. I also liked that her photography contract is easy to read/understand. You will be happy you chose her for your special day!

Kristin is AMAZING! From the moment she stepped in the room she began taking photos. She even helped me hide my handwritten wedding vows :-). I just received my wedding photos and I'm floored they came out sooooooo good! Before I received my photos I kept imagining how they would turn out and they came out even better than I imagined. She really plays off your personality , getting the shots you want as well as incorporating her own artistic vision. I will definitely be using Kristin in the future for any photography needs my family may have. We met Kristin for a consultation at her home office and by halfway through the meeting we knew we wanted her to be our photographer. After viewing some of her work we fell in love with her artistic style. She was incredibly approachable and made the awkwardness of taking engagement pictures an unforgettable experience. This woman will fall off beams and scrape herself up trying out a pose she invisions you doing! She made our sessions so fun and was able to capture our personalities in her beautiful pictures. She gives great instruction on posing and positioning which may feel weird at the time but make you look like a model in the finished shot. She has incredible experience and we trusted her creative eye which resulted in the most amazing pictures we could have asked for. We love that she provided the copyright of all the pictures so we could do as we chose with them and were not stuck getting packages that some photographers offer. Kristin also recently started offering a photobooth which we gladly would have used if we had not already booked another vendor. Kristin offers a perfect combination of traditional and artistic shots to satisfy all tastes and we are extremely happy that we found her. We will continue to use her services in the future!

Kristin is great!!! She has great ideas and our wedding pictures came out great. Her prices for her packages are also very reasonable compared to those other over priced photographers out there. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family.

Kristin was amazing! I found her through The Knot. She does amazing work. She was very professional and walked us through everything. We loved Kristen's style when we met with her and reviewed the photos from other weddings. Since we are very newly married, we haven't received our photos back, yet, but the experience of working with Kristen was great. She was totally on top of things. She got all the shots we wanted, and best of all I know she got a ton of shots I had no idea about. Very, very easy to work with, very professional. Can't wait to see the photos!

We met prior to the wedding for engagement photos, to get us comfortable working together to be ready to capture the perfect pictures on our wedding day. Kristen built a great rapport with Mary so that on our wedding day Mary was very comfortable in front of the camera.

On the day of our wedding, Kristen capture the special moments with an eye of whimsy. Some of the best shots, i.e. the smiles, came with ease. Kristen knew the right things to say to get all of us laughing. Mary's personality was enlightened and her smile was captured beautifully by Kristen. We have a treasure trove of fantastic photos to remember our day with.

In addition, Kristen helped me (a self devowed non-computer person) to download the digital images she provided. Even when the event was done, she has continued to help us get and make use of the fabulous photos she took on our day. In my opinion, Kristen's personal touch, her knowledge and working compatibility with our DJ, and her focus on customer service went above and beyond to capture our day and to provide memories for us to treasure for a lifetime.

Bluefire Photography was instrumental in the success of our wedding. Mother nature decided that it had to rain on the big day(It was an outdoor wedding). Even with this dilemma, Bluefire Photography was still able to produce beautiful pictures.

Kristin Blue of Blue Fire Photography, was the best vendor I had for my wedding. She was very welcoming at our initial visit and we immediately signed with her. She was very considerate of many factors, even the time of sunset for that date. She was very hands on, and took lead in other roles of our wedding process such as assisting my maids of honor and me with our dresses and making sure we were on time with the ceremony. Kristing was great during our bride/groom wedding photo shoot, which took place the day of the wedding! She was friendly, had charisma, and a smile the entire 6 hours. There weren't any limitations when it came to her snapping the perfect photo from the perfect angle, including getting down and dirty on the pavement to capture wonderful angles only a professional photographer would see. Her package and unique metallic photo wrap gift is definately one of a kind, another reason that makes her stand out from all the rest. I would recommend her to anyone for any occasion. We absolutely LOVED her!

This was by far the best vendor I booked for my March 24, 2012 wedding. I saw Kristen's pictures online and fell in love with her work before seeing her prices and meeting her in person. She is a brides personal savior. I was recommended Blue Fire when I was looking at ceremony locations. I met with Kristen about a year out from my date and she was filling up quickly. She kept in touch through the year and even recommended the hotel we ended up booking for our reception. I wanted to make sure we got all the "usual shots" but on a crunched time frame in 2 locations. I didn't have a day of coordinator so I was counting on Kristen to watch the clock and make sure we got in everything by our 9:15pm departure.

Kristen was a savior. She was on time and got right to work. She could see I was a nervous wreck and she quickly calmed me down. We got all the right poses made it to the limo on time. We ended up being 5 minutes early to the ceremony. Kristen immediately got my flower girls and ring bearers in pictures and posing since she knew the kids would quickly lose interest after the ceremony. She had everyone laughing and got some creative shots. I wanted some shots in my skates since roller derby is such a big part of my life. Kristen nailed my vision and let me be a more adventurous bride. I cant wait to see the final pics.

When we arrived at the reception Kristen took charge getting some great downtown shots. Kristen kept time on toasts, first dances and cutting the cake. Before you know it we were making our exit. Kristen was the best decision I made and I recommend her to EVERY bride I meet.

I just received my photos, and I was impressed by some of the interesting angles Kristin used which resulted in very beautiful shots. If you are a bride on a budget, I would highly recommend her. Don't forget to have a rain contingency, because photographers can't get their equipment wet! We had to move our ceremony indoors, but were still just as pleased with our photos. Kristin was able to use her creative eye to find great places for our shots, and we were so appreciative of her help!

Kristen was just terrific!! Very professional, courteous and a very good photographer. She work with not just with our wedding schedule but our work schedule as well. THere a couple of times we had to re-schedule due to weather and work conflicts and she was most accommodating. We would recommend Bluefire to one and all. I can say that the quality of Bluefire's posed group pictures is excellent, though we didn't always like some of the enhancements she made to the pictures. Her coverage of the reception, however, was inadequate as there were many people she did not get pictures of. The main reason I would not recommend her to others is her attitude. For example, when asked by the groom's family, the aunt who officiated, to take a picture of their table, her response was that she was busy, and that picture never was taken. Another example, I asked her to be sure to get a picture of the couple dancing. It happened to be my nephew, dancing with his sister. She rolled her eyes at me, and informed me that she knew what she was doing. As the mother-of-the-bride and the person who paid half the bill, I feel that I should be able to ask her to take a picture or two. She was rude, not only to me, but to others. There are other photographers out there who would do just as good of a job, without the attitude.

It seems that everyone who has left reviews on this page, has had a great experience with Bluefire. However, my husband and I hired them for videography services for our wedding and we were no so lucky. I am not one to complain, but we were extremely disappointed with Kristen and outcome of our videos. Not only were the videos poorly put together, but we had to wait 6 months after our wedding to receive them. That's right, we waited half a year when the contract clearly states that editing will take about 12 weeks. Every time I would express my concerns to Kristen, she would take at least three or four days to respond. And when she finally did, her responses were always very short and sometimes, quite frankly, she was rude. Like I said, I am not the type of person who complains about every little thing. In fact, this is the first time I have felt compelled to leave an online review. I just thought if I could save another bride the disappointment and heartache, the time I spent to share my experience with Bluefire would be worth it.
