  Beautiful Peonies for My Daughter’s Alaskan Wedding

  Our wonderful daughter decided last summer to get married without much notice. She really asked for very little except all her family to be present and Peonies as her flowers. Despite myself growing up in Alaska, I had no idea that peonies grew well up there. After researching a couple of sites, I found that Bloomsbury Blooms was the place to get peonies in Alaska. I contacted Dallas and despite very little notice she said she could do the flowers for the wedding and reception. My daughter had a couple ideas about her bouquet but really we left the design up to Dallas. We were not disappointed. On the day of the wedding, she showed up when she said she would and was very professional. She quickly put the flower display on the arbor - it was so beautiful. She made arrangements for the table which were all beautiful and perfect for the space. But the bouquet was the best. It not only had peonies but she also added my daughter’s other favorite flowers - sunflowers which I had mentioned in passing. I can’t express how easy Dallas was to work with - she really listened and the flowers were perfect. The price was reasonable as well.

  She's the absolute best!

  Working with Dallas was the best decision we made in planning our wedding! She stuck with me through all of my crazy ideas and perfectly executed the colors and styles I was asking for. Despite changing our wedding date and the challenges of flower ordering and logistics in Alaskan winter, every detail from the installation and table tops to my bouquet, candles, plates, napkins, etc were thoughtfully taken care. Dallas is a master of florals and all things weddings! Choose Dallas if you want to have a totally stress-free wedding day!

Working with Dallas saved me and my husband so much stress and we got so many compliments on every piece of the wedding that she touched. Knowledgeable and experienced in Alaska weddings, there wasn’t one question we had that Dallas couldn’t help us with. It can be hard to decide how much budget to allocate to flowers and design but when you’re working with Dallas, you’re getting so much more.   Dallas made my wedding flower dreams come true! She understood my vision and far succeed what I had in mind.   Dallas with Bloomsbury Blooms was an absolute joy to work with. She is a true master of her craft and really helped me navigate our wedding. Going above and beyond being a florist, Dallas even acted as a liaison between me, the venue, and the DJ to make sure everything was set up and cohesive. My bouquet was gorgeous, fresh, and even made the shipment from Alaska to Idaho to be pressed into a frame so I can treasure it forever. Thank you Dallas and Bloomsbury blooms!

  Bloomsbury Blooms Read My Mind!

  Dallas was incredibly responsive, professional, and fun from the very beginning. After uploading a few visuals, she took it, ran with it, and completely blew it out of the water. I was speechless. Communication was absolutely perfect: not too much, not too little. Bloomsbury was the easiest vendor to work with, yet delivered the absolute best. It's also important to note she was able to get her hands on stunning fresh flowers in March in AK! The compliments we received on them were never-ending, and many of our guests left the night with armfulls of fresh and dried pieces that they still have on display in their homes, ha!

  Dallas will take your idea and turn it into a masterpiece

  My husband and I had a vision of what flowers we wanted for our small destination wedding in Alaska. Our wedding planner recommended Dallas. We had a phone meeting with her, and we knew she was the one who could make our vision come to life and fully execute it. She was very personable, easy to communicate with, and enjoyable to work with. She listened to what we wanted and did not want. Although we had a vision, we didn’t know how to communicate it or exactly what flowers we wanted. She worked some magic and was able to create what we wanted without us having to paint the entire picture for her. She made electronic look books for us to view her suggestions and ideas. The books were helpful for us to know exactly what she was talking about. She was accommodating when we had to reschedule our wedding to the following year because of COVID. She also worked with our wedding planner and came up with the most beautiful bouquet and table runner. She was able to make our vision come to life with all the local Alaska flowers and vegetation. It was so much better than what we imagined. She showed up on time the day of and created a masterpiece. It was really sad having to take it a part that night while cleaning up. Our guests raved about how amazing the table looked. Working with Dallas was great, and we could not be happier with how the flowers turned out.

I was perfect for my husband and I because we're both artists, and our ceremony was about the "art of marriage." Dallas' florals really made our wedding look amazing and unforgettable. She has an artistic eye for color, texture and design. We went all out with vibrant colors, but it was tastefully done with a limited palette. I also loved how her arrangements feel organic, as if she is a fiber artist weaving plants together. And, I appreciate her fresh, modern taste for table scape decor. Everything she did was unique and beautiful, and nothing was "cheesy" or cheap looking. She also had great suggestions and advice throughout the experience, which was much appreciated because we planned the rest of the wedding on our own (without a wedding planner). And finally, she went above and beyond to help us pick up tablecloths and pillars on the way to our venue, several hours away. Thank you, Dallas!

  My husband & I had a destination wedding on 7/10/21 in Moose Pass, AK. Dallas really helped us bring our vision to life and so much more. Our flowers were truly stunning!   Dallas was an absolute joy to work with. She was extremely communicative. She made the planning phone calls and email exchanges actually fun. For her artistic creations, I thought her prices were incredibly reasonable.
  
  I was over the moon with how our flowers turned out. I had a few ideas/tangentially related schemes that she synthesized into a beautiful vision. Our guests raved about our table arrangements (my family members still talk about the display bowls, an afterthought for many florists I assume...but I don't think anything is an afterthought for Dallas!)
  
  I could not have dreamed up a more perfect bridal bouquet. My bouquet cleverly complimented my bridesmaids' dresses (who would have thought to do that?) and made our photos pop. In addition to its beauty, my bouquet was sturdy enough to survive my dad's side by side driving for our pre-wedding photo shoot and my uncoordinated bouquet toss at the end of the night.

  My now husband and I recently traveled from Florida to Alaska for a small destination wedding and Bloomsbury Blooms crafted the most BEAUTIFUL floral crown, bouquet, and boutonniere. The floral crown was so elegant and feminine, and I felt like a beautiful woodland fairy with it on :)! The bouquet and boutonniere were also stunning, with an unbelievable mixture of flowers and greenery with texture and rich color. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined. Thank you, Bloomsbury Blooms!!!!

  Dallas at Bloomsbury Blooms was so fun and easy to work with from the first phone call to the wedding day. She captured the look I was going for perfectly. Everything she put together exceeded my expectations. The flowers were absolutely stunning!!! I highly recommend Bloomsbury Blooms and would definitely order from her again in the future.

  When I started the process of looking for a florist for my June 2016 wedding, I knew within seconds of viewing the Bloomsbury Blooms website that Dallas would be my gal. Her unique arrangements and obvious passion for using locally grown and foraged blooms really impressed me. She has been very professional throughout the planning process and always very responsive. She worked with me on coming up with a floral plan to achieve the vision I had while still staying in my budget. Her arrangements and bouquets were absolutely beautiful. She really listened to what I wanted and nailed the execution. I am amazed how her arrangements transformed my pretty bare wedding venue space into a treat for the eyes. She was very easy to work with, she has great taste, and everything turned out 10x better than I anticipated. I wouldn't trust any other florist when it comes to creating one of a kind floral arrangements. Her work is the best and she provides a full service by customizing your colors and style, bringing supplies, helping to set up, and being available if needed.   I was immediately drawn to the style of Bloomsbury Blooms and had to hire Dallas after I'd seen her work at another wedding. Dallas was so pleasant and easy to work with. Our bouquets were gorgeous and exactly how I had envisioned. The boutonnieres were amazing. I wanted to incorporate mini wooden surfboards in the boutonnieres and Dallas added her touch and brought my idea to life. The groomsmen loved them. I wish I had hired her to do the centerpieces too instead of doing them myself. Leave the flowers to a professional! I would hire Dallas again in a heartbeat.

  I had an emergency flower situation. The woman I was supposed to get my flowers from to do DIY bouquets had a family emergency and left the state a WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING!! I was in a panic, I had the worst emotional breakdown. I took a quick poll from my friends to see who'd they recommend in the Anchorage area. I took one look at the website for Bloomsbury Blooms and wen't ''no way her arrangements are to nice, she won't be able to fit me in, she will be to busy" I called and said I have a flower emergency. She said "what day is your wedding and what do you need?" Just like that I had the MOST beautiful peony and hydrangea bouquet. All my groomsmen had boutonnieres also. I was so impressed. She was truly amazing, and her arrangements are better than anyone else in Alaska when it comes to boho/rustic/romantic floral arrangements.

I walked in after checking out her website and with my personal taste, LOVED her work. We had no rigid color scheme for our wedding. Just very green, fresh and light. My only requests to her were to incorporate olive branches and a peony in my bouquet, with fresh herbs on our bistro tables scattered about for guest seating. Beyond that, I asked her to use her judgement to fill in areas with lush greenery and floral arrangements. She worked in conjunction with out wedding planner and they did an absolutely amazing job. The first time I saw the room was when I walked down the aisle... and I was and am a very happy woman. THANK YOU DALLAS!
