We were extremely pleased with Black Tie Djs. Dave, the owner, asked us about our event and had us complete a detailed form to describe the event and our music preferences, level of DJ interaction, etc. Very organized. He matched us with a great DJ, Russ. Russ had a great, deep DJ voice and was able to gauge the guests musical preferences with amazing flexibility and accuracy. He had song and song set selection down to a science. All of our guests danced the entire night, and we didn't even serve alcohol!

Book Black Tie and ask for Russ. No need to pay extra for a face-to-face meeting, just get the basic package and do a Skype meeting. It worked perfectly.

Brad McCormick was the DJ for the after dinner portion of our wedding and he did an excellent job. He was professional, responsive to our requests and kept the people on the dance floor. We've heard other Black Tie DJs two other times and they were great then as well. The company works with you to find the DJ that would be appropriate for your event; I highly recommend them

Black Tie DJ's was great! From the very first phone call they were able to answer all of my questions and provided me with information I didnt know I needed. The selected Matt Johnson for my DJ and he was great. The dance floor was packed for the entire night and everyone had a great time.

Black Tie DJs are awesome to work with. They make it so easy to book, plan, and pay. Everything is done through their online database which makes it super convenient when planning a wedding. I originally spoke with Dave Melton and he was so helpful with answering my intial questions. We ended up being matched with Eddy Bobby as our DJ. He was great. He was on time and played the perfect music for my guests. It was especially special when he played my favorite song ever (Dave Matthews Band, "Crush") for our last dance. I didn't even give him a heads up that it was my favorite song. He was also very interactive with the guests when he played line dances. He was overall a great DJ and I would recommend Black Tie DJs to anyone who wants a DJ to get the party started!

Our experience with Black Tie DJs was nothing short of oustanding. Dave was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. We had a lot of song requests that weren't listed in their library (including a song by Kermit the Frog), but he assured us that it was no problem to get them, and sure enough, every single one was played at the reception. Our DJ, Russ Reiff, was fantastic! He was not only a delight to talk to, but he went above and beyond to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted played and when, and he kept the reception going according to our timeline. What's more, my husband and his brothers planned to perform a song at the reception. Russ made sure they had the equipment they needed and handled the set up for them! The dance floor was packed all night, and many of our guests commented on how great the song selections were. To top it off, Black Tie DJs is VERY reasonably priced. But don't let the low cost fool you. These guys are top quality, professional DJs who will work to make sure your reception is a success.

Black Tie DJ's was AMAZING!!!! They request you fill out planning forms online - which is great, because you can do it at your leisure - we made multiple changes up until the week before. Our DJ was DJ Matt Johnson who did an absolutely amazing job!!! Everyone kept telling us they would love to hire him for a birthday party or any other event they have!!! DJ Matt was great to work with!! He had really great suggestions - like moving the toast to earlier in the night so the Best Man and MOH didn't have to wait around all night thinking about it! He also helped calm down our Ring Bearer who was getting upset about the possibility of not being introduced with the rest of the party. Matt did a great job!!!

Our DJ, Eddie Bobby, was PERFECT. He suited our crowd so well, and played great music all night. He also served as our Master of Ceremonies, and did a great job getting every "event" coordinated throughout the night so that no one missed a thing. At the end of the night, two of my bridesmaids went to him to request a song as the "final song," and he told them that he didn't have it... but he said he'd get it. Ten minutes later, he had downloaded it, and I got surprised with our special song for the final dance. He was great! Everyone in our family is still talking about how great the music was, and how packed the dance floor was the whole night. I've been to two weddings since ours, and the DJs didn't even compare. I was so pleased with our decision. My best friend got married two months before I did, and also used Black Tie, and she was just as happy as I was. We're two-for-two, and my sister has signed her contract with them for next June. Highly recommend this company!

I loved their planning form. I knew that I was going to get what I wanted! He played all the songs I wanted to hear, and everyone had a great time.

Amazing job! We had matt as our dj and loved him! He was such a jovial, great entertainer! Everyone loved him! He included all the important songs and placed them in the perfect spot during the reception. Dave also answered all our questions immediately. It was a perfect all-around experience!

Our DJ was Eddy Bobby and he was fantastic. He played all of the "right" songs and we only had 3 songs on our must-play list. It was like he knew us for years! He got everyone dancing and having a blast. Many guests commented on the excellent choice of songs played. He called me a few times before the wedding to check-in and go over the reception schedule and touch base to make sure I felt comfortable with everything. I would highly recommend Black Tie DJs.

Eddy Bobby was a fabulous DJ and kept the dance floor full all night. We got many compliments on him from our guests for his music selection. He was a great master of ceremonies without having to constantly be talking in the microphone. My family and I are very glad we got him as our DJ!

We chose Black Tie DJ's after a friend told us of what an amazing job the DJ did at her sister's wedding. And... they followed suit at our own! Brad was our DJ and he was awesome. We wanted someone to make the necessary announcements but not be too cheesy, and he wins! He was able to have the night and our guests move in those certain ways when you need them too, he was able to set the tone, and he got people moving when it was time to move. All seamlessly, without visible effort.

When I first started planning the wedding I thought that I would be planning out the entire playlist because it was something I thought I would need to do to ensure the tone of our evening was right. I was obviously a crazy person for thinking I would have time for this and... that's why you hire a DJ! From our chat and the few key songs I had picked out (introductions, first dance, father daughter, and a few key ones that Matthew and I knew we wanted to hear) Brad was able to come up with the perfect songs all throughout the evening.

Everyone loved the music during dinner, it gave off such a great vibe. And the party was rocking on the dance floor all night. We had such a great time and the entire evening went so smoothly. Brad worked with our other vendors to create a seamless evening. Fantastic job and thank you!

Black Tie DJs was recommended to us by a relative who used them for her wedding reception. Although we had some trouble selecting songs on the online event planning form, we were able to send a spreadsheet directly to Andrew (our assigned DJ) and had a couple of pre-event calls to make sure everything was in order. We had a special request for the introduction of the wedding party and Andrew worked with us to make sure we supplied him with the correct type of music files. The music selection was a really important part of our reception to us, and Andrew gave us some good advice on the order of songs. At the reception, he did a great job serving a master of ceremonies and was able to play almost every song from our request list. Our guests all had a great time!

Eddy Bobby was the DJ we chose for our wedding on Saturday, 6/11/2011. He was fantastic! Easy going, relaxed, professional, and just overall a good guy. He had everyone dancing at our wedding. He did an exceptional job balancing our requests and picking selections of his own based on our guests and the feel of the party. Since I had already met Eddy Bobby at a bridal exhibit, we set up a video conference/chat online so my finance/husband could have the opportunity to meet him prior to the wedding. We received a discount for holding our meeting online as oppose to an in person meeting. Another plus.

I did plenty of research before meeting Black Tie DJs, and found Black Tie DJs' rates were by far the best. What really attracted me to them was their online capability. We could request all our songs and compile our playlist through their website. We could also upload our schedule, pay our bill, even sign our contract online. It's easy to use, and it made my life so MUCH easier.

I highly recommend Black Tie DJs. They have a variety of DJs to choose from. My husband and I are in our late 20s/early 30s. We found Eddy Bobby was the guy for us.

We hired Brad McCormick from Black Tie DJ's for our wedding and he was great. We wait until 2 months before the wedding to even book the dj and didn't schedule a call with Brad until maybe 1 month before because our schedules were just so crazy. They have a great website so that you can really customize everything that you want to hear. List top 15 "must play songs" Top 15 "do not play songs", Top 15 "try to play" etc. We also gave Brad a list of songs that we would like to hear for the cocktail hour and dinner portion and he really followed our wishes. We also had a very specific intro song and announcement song that he was able to do seamlessly for us.
All of our wedding guests have been telling us all summer that our DJ was so perfect for our wedding and no one could stop dancing because the songs kept getting better and better. Brad was really great during the reception, if there was a song that i wanted to hear at a specific time, he was really receptive and did exactly what I asked.
I would highly recommend Brad and Black Tie DJs to any bride and groom.
