This is the owner of BKB Photography. After nearly ten years in the wedding photography business, holding a stellar reputation in the wedding world, published in top magazines, award winning - I have never had a complaint nor a client like this. Anyone who knows my studio reputation and who has worked with my studio knows we go above and beyond for all of our clients. What this bride has forgotten to write about here is that there are two sides to EVERY STORY.

What Mrs. Paula Childs has failed to report are the facts, instead she has decided to go online and write a poor review because she is unhappy with her poor planning of her wedding. She has complained about each of her wedding vendors from her cake maker (Cottage Street Bakery), florist (Flowers by Mary) and caterer (Sumptuous Catering). Mrs. Childs hired a livery transportation company to pick up her wedding party (including me) to take us to her beach ceremony. Her transportation was nearly 2 hours late! Leaving us with no light to work with for her beach ceremony or portraits. What she has also failed to tell you in this bad review is that her own husband announced to guests and myself he did not want to get married to her because of her bad attitude, he also did everything possible not to have his photos captured at the wedding.The police had to become involved (police report on file) and my studio has had to hire a lawyer due to the assault she caused at me on her wedding day. She became belligerent, drunk and out of control at her wedding, got in my face and attacked me - this was after her ceremony on a rural beach in P-town where her husband became out of control as well and told me to leave - he said, "I would give you a ******* tip **** leave, I don't want anymore photos!" Continuing to do my job as a professional, knowing that certain images needed to be captured, I expressed to Ms. Childs that is was important to capture images of her and her husband - and that we were over contract; at this time she got in my face, threatened me and said "You think you are ****** coming back to my house to take photos - you are NOT getting in that van *** YOU!" This assault took place for over 15 minutes. She left me on a rural beach with no transportation in the DARK nearly 8 miles from my car with no cell phone reception. Luckily the justice of the peace (Justice Judy) witnessed this entire situation and drove me to my car and safety.

I am a true professional, have a great attitude about my job - and my clients rave about the personalized service they receive (as you can see in my reviews and my work). I would also like to add Mrs.Childs wedding was August 6th and she received her high resolution digital files within two weeks turn around time from her wedding date - like every other client at BKB Photography. Unfortunately for my studio, this particular client (who has received notice from my attorney to stop slander and to stop prank calling me in the middle of the night - we have a unhappy situation to deal with - the truth is she is not unhappy with me - she is just UNHAPPY. I wish everyone the best, but this bride takes the cake for a bridezilla - my first in 10 years!

1. Contracted for 5 hours - small wedding 20 people - I stayed 6.5 hours. I did not hold them responsible for this fee. This did not include my travel time from my studio which is 3 hours each way.

2. Mrs. Childs announced to me three weeks prior to her wedding that it was the Pan Mass Challenge Bike Race and that I should take the ferry to P-town. She said due to the traffic issues and the small size of her wedding, she would change the timing of the event to help accommodate my transportation b/c she wanted BKB to capture her wedding. After researching the ferry - the ferry schedule would not work for us as the last ferry leaves P-town back to Boston for 730pm. Like each bride at our studio, we work with our clients each step of the way to prepare a schedule of the wedding day. Later, finalizing Mrs. Paula Childs wedding schedule she refused to accommodate the schedule as promised. We offered to refund her total deposit and help find a local P-town wedding photographer at the same caliber due to the traffic issues. Since Pan Mass Challenge bike race proves to be serious traffic challenge with more than 5,000 cyclists riding to the Cape, I made sure I was on the Cape grounds with plenty of time to spare making sure I was there and ready for the wedding day.

I assisted Mrs. Childs in getting dressed, buckled her shoes, got her toilet paper, champagne, helped guide the processional at ceremony - which is NOT in my job deion, but I believe as a wedding professional - having done hundreds of weddings in my career- that a wedding day is the brides day and to help assist in any way possible to make the process comfortable and easy for all parties involved.
