I worked with Victoria yesterday at my bridal consultation at Bijou Bridal and I was SO pleased with the service that I received. After a horrible experience with a chain bridal store I was skeptical about trusting anyone else when it came to finding a dress that was perfect for me. I decided to give Bijou Bridal a shot because they are located close to me and I read some really good reviews. I did not feel pressured to make a sale and I was happy to know that my consultant was working me with and only me at the time of my appointment and not trying to balance 5 other brides who also had appointments. The dresses were very neatly displayed and the store was very neat and clean also. I purchased a dress that was absolutely gorgeous and I am happy to know that my dress is an exclusive to Bijou so I will not see it anywhere else! I cannot wait to walk down the aisle in my Bijou original. Thank you :-)
I recently shopped at Bijou Bridal in hopes to find my wedding gown and although they have a large selection of dresses, I left somewhat disappointed and decided to buy a dress elsewhere. The consultant let me pick out the gowns, which some brides may appreciate, but I would have liked more guidance and direction as the dresses look very different on a hanger. The store was very busy and there was hardly room for my mom & sister to sit and see me in the dresses. I think the biggest downside for me was the condition of the sample dresses - I found one dress I really liked from the couture collection so it was a bit pricey, however it was so hard to envision the dress as new and without stains and pulls all over it because the sample was in such bad shape. The explanation that I received from the consultant was it was an old dress that practically every bride tries on, which was a major turn off! I think the store & sample gowns could really benefit from some updating. Although the consultants were very friendly, they also did not seem very knowledgeable about the gowns and I was not able to have the same consultant from my first appointment.
We worked with Alison @Bijou yesterday for my daughter's wedding gown. She was a wonderful consultant. She was so helpful, no pressure, took her time with us and gave us the dream wedding gown experince I had hoped for my daughter. Gorgeous gown and accessory selection.
Found my dress!!! LOVE LOVE my lace dress. Huge selection there. I felt welcome and NIna was very helpful and patient with me. I fell in love with the second dress I tried on but was nervous to commit and they were patient as I tried many others on before coming back to number two! The dress selection was vast and the prices were varied in range. Plenty of dresses at a reasonable rate. I also purchased my veil! The set up was spacious and allowed for my mom and sister and niece to feel comfortable. We were not rushed at all and Nina was not pushy at all. Love my dress. So happy I went to Bijou!
They have lots of beautiful dresses and options. After trying on over 20 dresses at about 7 other shops, I was glad I walked into Bijou. Although, their prices are a bit high, their dresses are one of a kind.
My bridesmaids and I had a great time shopping for my wedding dress back in February 2014. I would recommend that shop to any bride looking for a fabulous "say yes to the dress" type experience.
Bijou had a huge selection of bridal dresses, from all different price ranges. After looking at several different shops (with less than stellar customer service), I was so happy to find my dress at Bijou. Their staff was extremely helpful, from the dress consultants on to Pat, my seamstress. My dress came in on time and I was very lucky to work with Pat who gave me all the tips about my dress. Not only did she fit my dress perfectly, but she gave me tips for how to walk, dance, and sit in it. She even showed me how to carry my flowers so I could show off the great parts of my dress. I received such great personal service and would gladly recommend Bijou!
I bought my wedding dress from Bijou after checking out 2 places before. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and the staff there did a wonderful job of helping me.
I never had any issues- after purchasing my dress- they called me right after it came in and scheduled my 1st fitting. My seamstress was AMAZING!!! She really made the dress to fit me exact and made me look great on my wedding day.
Thank you for such professional service and for making my wedding day the day I dreamed of!
The staff was great in helping my find my wedding dress. The alteration experience was even better. I loved my tailor, she treated me like a princess, and even taught me how to walk in the dress. She was a great mother like presence, which was very important to me since my mom could not be there.
I found a gown at Bijou that I loved and purchased it. When it came in, it fit very differently than expected because I am quite smaller than the sample size was. At first, I felt a bit uncomfortable speaking about the fit of the dress and my dissatisfaction, but Bijou did an excellent job reading my needs and supporting me until the dress fit in a way that was more comfortable to me. I left the store loving my dress and excited to marry my husband while wearing it. I'm so thankful for their patience and kindness as I walked through this part of my wedding day!
My seamstress is absolutely amazing! I am a bride from out of town and when my flight was delayed causing me to miss my first fitting, Bijou was flexible enough to be able to squeeze me in the next day and have a seamstress come in just for me. Nicky is so attentive to my style and needs as a bride. She is making all of my requested alterations and was very quick and thorough. I absolutely cannot wait to wear the dress of my dreams thanks to Bijou!
It was super easy for me to make an appointment by email, which I really appreciate. During my appointment, all of the staff was very nice, helpful, and professional. It only took trying on a couple dresses to find the one, which I credit to the woman who helped me. She really helped guide the appointment and kept me from getting confused by too many options! The dressing rooms are a little tired looking, but nice enough and the main area is very nice looking and comfortable for anyone you bring along.
I purchased my wedding dress and had alterations done at Bijou. They have dresses for many budgets, I was actually happily surprised at the cost of the dress I ended up with. Initially, I was on the fence with my dress, unhappy that it had spaghetti straps but otherwise loving everything about it. My consultant checked with the designer (Casablanca) and for a reasonable fee they were able to order it with thicker straps which made the dress exactly what I was looking for.
My alterations were a bit pricey, but I chose to have them done there for the convenience factor. The dress fit perfectly on the big day so in the end it was worth it. I didn't shop around so I can't compare what it would have cost elsewhere, to be fair. I do wish they did fittings on weekends - by the second or third trip finding time to go after work was a pain since I don't live close by.
All the staff was very friendly!
I ordered my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses from Bijou. Everything came out beautifully and the staff was wonderful to work with. Highly recommended!
This was the first bridal store I went to and it was such a great experience I had a difficult time staying very long at any of the other stores I visited. I appreciated the one-on-one service with my bridal consultant- she was great! I'm not the type to make a quick decision so she happily made another appointment for me to try on the dress again at a later date to be sure of my decision. The dress took a full eight months to arrive in the store, but my seamstress easily made sure that I had four complete fittings. The dress fit absolutely perfect on my wedding day thanks to my seamstress. All and all a good experience.
I had a terrible experience at Bijou. I was shocked since I had read so many positive reviews.
First and foremost--there was practically NO service. The consultant made no attempt whatsoever to point out dresses that she thought I'd like. When I was disappointed that they didn't have any with sleeves, she chuckled and asked if this was my first time shopping for a bridal gown--as if dresses with sleeves don't exist or something. (I assured her that no, it wasn't my first, and yes, I've found dresses with sleeves.) I tried on one dress to be a good sport, and she did a terrible job at clipping me in. She even commented about how it "looked droopy" because it was too big. If she had spent more than 5 seconds clipping me that wouldn't be a problem.
Second--the dresses are all old and dingy looking. Maybe I would have found more I liked if the samples were in better condition, but as they were they were not appealing. Overall the store doesn't seem high-end or "nice" at all, which is bizarre since the dresses are thousands of dollars.
Third--poor selection. The dresses all seemed to be the same type of style. In one section I saw like 5 dresses with the exact same lace. They didn't have anything at all in the style I prefer (more demure, with cap sleeves or shoulder coverings).
As others have noted, you can't take pictures.
Long story short, I left after trying one dress on. Bridal dress shopping is supposed to be fun--even if you don't find "the one." But Bijou was very unpleasant and I left feeling demoralized.
