  I am a wedding planner, and this priest was fabulous to work with. He answered all of the couples questions pre-wedding, and explained the process to them. He showed up on time, and was very clear and concise during the wedding ceremony. He was very organized and engaging. I highly recommend him.

  Definitely Recommend!

  I would definitely recommend Bharat Uncle for any of your ceremony needs. He was extremely helpful explaining every step of the process and walked us through everthing we needed to do from prep, to marriage license to the ceremony. He speaks very good English as well.

  Knowledgable & Entertaining Pundit

  Bharat Uncle was a delight to work with. He was able to seamlessly integrate my Punjabi husband's and my Gujrati families' cultural requests while following through a Hindu wedding ceremony. He did all this in English and Sanskrit so all the guests could understand. He made himself available to us and our families on numerous occasions to answer questions, provide insight and offer explanations as to why each step of the ceremony is conducted. I give Bharat Uncle my highest recommendation to couples seeking a Hindu Pundit for their wedding.

  The Absolute Best Indian Wedding Officiant!

  Bharat Uncle was an amazing officiant for our wedding! He did a great job working closely with us to go through all the steps & making sure we properly understood all the different traditions & pieces of the hindu ceremony. Our wedding was a mixed race wedding ceremony so he also did a great job working with my now wife that she was comfortable with the various steps of the ceremony.
  
  We also received a lot of praise & plaudits from our guests for the ceremony – Bharat Uncle made sure to explain each of the different steps of the hindu ceremony to our guests so they could follow along and understand the meaning behind each of them.
  
  All in all, he was so easy to work with & I would recommend him to anybody in New York that is needing of a Hindu Priest!

  Highly recommend Bharatkumar Jani

  We could not have chosen a better maharaj for our wedding. Bharat uncle is excellent! He creates a very calm atmosphere which is needed amongst the wedding chaos sometimes. He explained the rituals very well in multiple languages and he accommodated both families in upholding traditions. Many of my non-Indian friends were able to fully enjoy and understand the wedding ceremony because of Bharat uncle’s explanations and guidance. Highly highly recommend for not only weddings but all religious ceremonies!

  Highly recommend!

  Bharat Uncle was such a great officiant for our wedding this past summer! He went through all of the steps for the vidhi during our planning process to make sure that traditions from both families were incorporated. He made sure that my husband and I understood the meaning of each part of the wedding so that we could really feel the importance of what we were doing on the day of. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing during the ceremony and that was because of Bharat Uncle's nature and personality, which we really loved. I would highly recommend him!

  Officiating of the Indian Wedding of Priya and Paul by Bharatbhai

  Bharatbhai gave a glowing performance explaining the Indian ceremony so well that all guests, including the younger ones, paid attention. He gave background as to the reasons for the traditions and peppered the explanations with humor that kept everyone totally riveted.
  I believe I, as father of the bride, bonded with Bharatbhai, and as he explained to me, his intentions for performing the rituals is to get the younger generation interested in our customs by giving a logical reasoning for them.
  I have many Nieces and Nephews that over time will be getting married and I know they and their parents will be asking Bharatbhai to perform the rituals for them.

  Best Hindu Priest!

  Bharat uncle made our wedding very special by explaining the importance of different rituals that are done during the wedding! His explanations were thorough and meaningful adding value to our our ceremony and making it fun for wedding guests especially who are not familiar with Hindu traditions. He was super professional, organized and flexible made sure the entire process was stress free for the family and the couple. He coordinated with the DJ and the live musicians to make the ceremony go by seamlessly. We definitely recommend him as he will make the wedding ceremony special with modern references from the ancient scriptures to make them relevant!

He explained everything so thoughtfully and beautifully. He is very eloquent and well spoken. He adheres to the timeline strictly, which is extremely important for Indian weddings. He is also excellent in making people understand the meaning and importance of the Hindu wedding ceremony in a simplistic and effortless way. He provided a list of everything we needed for the ceremony. He did an incredible job including ALL our immediate family members into the ceremony!!! He was so organized and engaging with the audience too. He definitely made our wedding ceremony special!

  Bharat Uncle officiated our Hindu wedding in April 2021 -- from the start, he was incredibly kind, responsive, and professional, taking time to meet with my spouse, I, and our parents to go over the details of the ceremony (not once, but twice due to COVID!). His English translations are perfect and funny, and kept our guests engaged during our 1.5 hour ceremony. We got many compliments on the ceremony and are so grateful he was our officiant! Thank you!!

  Wonderful Officiant for Interfaith Service

  Priest Jani officiated our interfaith (Hindu/Jewish) wedding this past fall at Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson (and on Zoom). He delivered a beautiful service that was in equal parts heartfelt, educational, and entertaining.
  
  As a Hindu-Jewish couple, we knew we wanted to have a single combined ceremony that celebrated both families. We knew there were overlapping traditions but couldn’t figure out the right way to create a cohesive service (at around an hour). Priest Jani not only helped us to seamlessly fuse the two religious traditions, but also brought more knowledge on both religions than either family had. In addition to helping us create a beautiful service, he did an amazing job of setting aside time with both our families to ensure that everyone felt their traditions were included and honored.
  
  As mentioned the service itself was wonderful and many guests reached out to us after the ceremony to tell us how much they admired his delivery.
  
  We can’t recommend him more highly if you’re looking for a Hindu priest to officiate your interfaith ceremony.

  Amazing Wedding Pundit

  Bharatkumar Jani did a phenomenal job marrying my husband and I. He had to merge Punjabi and Gujarati traditions together and did so seamlessly. He explains thoroughly and concisely all of the traditions in English and adds lots of humor throughout.

  Excellent Hindu priest

  Mr. Jani did a wonderful job performing the Hindu ceremony at my daughters Indian-Korean fusion wedding. He was knowledgable, professional, and humorous at times! He conducted all the important elements of the puja within an hour which was critical for us as we had a tight schedule and timeline. I would highly recommend him!!!

  We are not strictly practicing Hindu or Christian couple however we wanted a wedding where both heritages (Hindu & Christian) would be respected. Our initial discussion with Mr Jani was very honest and he was very open to the idea of type of wedding ceremony we wanted.
  
  His ability and ease at navigating complex family dynamics clearly showed his experience. We appreciated that he focused on meeting needs and desires of parents but he always kept our wishes as top priority.
  
  We had an in-person meeting with him along with our parents where he explained every detail of the ceremony.   Amazing Hindu Priest

  Our wedding would not have been the same without Bharatkumar Jani! Priest Jani was an incredible choice and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts for marrying us in front of our 300+ family and friends. Ever since initial conversations, communication and coordination with Priest Jani was easy and perfect. Priest Jani explained each piece of the Hindu ceremony to our guests in a beautiful and meaningful way. We are so grateful and so happy.

  Amazing ceremony

  I wanted something different from any of the Hindu weddings I have been to, for several reasons including that my husband is Jewish, and I am so glad that I looked beyond recommendations from family and friends to find Priest Jani through Wedding Wire. He clearly takes great pride in creating a Hindu ceremony that is tailored to the bride and groom. He had several calls with me and my family to make sure that our Telegu traditions were incorporated, while also making sure that the ceremony was engaging for our guests. Many of our guests told us that it was the most engaging Hindu ceremony they had witnessed and that they appreciated Priest Janis explanations in English of each component of the ceremony, interjected with humor. I highly recommend Priest Jani!
