    Magical fairy tale

    I had no idea where to start! Towanna is family! She made my experience so magical! Her professionalism and customer service is uncomparable! Her knowledge of the wedding business is like no other. Contacts, pricing, caterers, makeup, DJ's, seamstress, you name it and Towanna can help. If you try her, you won't be disappointed.     My mom and I went to see Towanna one evening after work looking for a wedding dress. I cannot express to you how happy I am that we met her. It was great that she was able to have us come in at a later hour to see some of her collection - this worked out great for me with late work hours. Towanna was so professional and so kind to us throughout the entire process. Her store front was so comfortable and she made us feel very at home. It was also nice to have the place all to ourselves so we did not feel rushed. The prices on the gowns Towanna has are also very reasonable without losing any of the quality. I would definitely recommend making an appointment at BellaChic Luxe!

    My story is a little bit different than most, because I didn't understand how buying a wedding dress works - I thought you found a dress online, went to a shop to try it on, and then ordered it.

    I found the dress that I loved online, and then couldn't find a single store within 1000 miles that had one for me to try on. (It was a discontinued model.) I went to a lot of stores, trying to find one that was similar, and couldn't. One store offered to order me a loaner, which I was prepared to pay for, only to find out the manufacturer wouldn't send us one as a loan. My only option would have been to buy the dress, unseen and un-tried-on, wait 12 weeks for them to make it, then go try it on at the store. One thing that bridal shops will not do is take returns, so that meant I was potentially buying a dress, waiting for three months, and then if I didn't like it, I was out $1500 and would have very little time to find another dress.

    Enter Towanna at BellaChic Luxe, who told me that if I bought the dress and ended up not liking it, she would buy it from me, at the price I paid (including tax). She removed all the risk from the situation! So that's what I did, and the dress was perfect. If she hadn't made that offer, I would have been unwilling to take the risk and would have settled for a lesser dress. Thank you Towanna, for not making me settle, and for helping me get the perfect dress!

    I had a very detailed dress that needed a lot of alterations. The time, quality and attention to detail that was done on my alterations was simply amazing and beautiful. At BellaChic you receive one on one service and you are given time and attention to truly make you feel special as one should on your wedding day. After this experience I would never go anywhere else for a dress and alterations ever again, they are truly masters at their craft!

    Towanna is great to work with! She was very helpful in purchasing my gown for my May wedding and the dress came in with no issues. My family lives far away and was not able to attend the appointments, but Towanna stepped in and seemed to fill their empty spots with her fun attitude, smiles, and honest feedback. Her appointments are unique that she treats the customer with a one on one approach which makes it very personal and attentive without being pushy. The boutique is very clean and well lit with a modern and classy vibe. I would definitely recommend BellaChic to anyone for wedding dress and bridal party selections. Towanna will put you at ease during this stressful time with her honesty and integrity.

    I shopped at the Davids Bridal in Woodbridge, VA and the Alfred Angelo in Springfield, VA and let’s just say it was a big waste of time. The selection is the worst. The stores are packed ALL THE TIME and the workers at both locations aren’t as knowledgeable as what I felt they should be. Guess I had been watching Say Yes To the Dress too many times and wanted the Kleinfeld experience.

    Well my wedding planner (Raquel of Events A La Chic) suggested that I check out Bella Chic and I am so glad I did. Who knew this little jewel was right in Woodbridge, VA?

    hopping here is like shopping at a smaller Kleinfeld. Its appointment only which takes a lot of pressure off and helps minimize distractions. This was perfect because unlike the first few times only took my mom it was more intimate and really allowed us to enjoy shopping a lot more. The chic décor and ample selection of dresses makes this place just as unique and upscale as other boutique wedding shops.

    I am not an emotional person but I did cry when I found my dress. In fact when I started Towanna came up and hugged me and my mom. We were doing a group hug right in the middle of the shop and afterward had champagne. Dress shopping is a headache but Towanna made the experience for both my mom and I very memorable. Every young woman should be have that “Say Yes to the Dress” experience with their loved ones.

    Everything during my wedding planning process was smooth and easy, besides my dress experience. Regretfully my dress buying experience was the most difficult and stressful.
    When there was a delay on my dress (2 months delay), I had to reach out to Towanna (owner) to find out this info. She didn't offer any sort of apology for not letting me know or even for the delay.
    I went in for my 1st fitting and that went well and I ordered a veil which the seamstress said she'd custom make for me. I was scheduled a month later to come back in for my 2nd fitting. A few days before my 2nd fitting, Towanna emailed me with "I just wanted to update you to let you know when you come in on Saturday you will be meeting with my other seamstress. There will not be any additional charges to you." To me that just sounds like my dress is done and that the new seamstress will help with any additional alterations needed. NOPE. After some emails back and forth with Towanna, I found out that they had done nothing to my dress in the last month and I was coming back to do the same thing I did in the 1st fitting. Also no updates on my veil. Townanna made up many excuses for everything and never took the blame or accountability. I came in for my 3rd fitting and the dress thankfully fit well. No signs of a veil again. Towanna finally came out with the truth that her previous seamstress wasn't suppose to have taken payment from me for the veil and that she was a scammer - taking $ and not deliver service (EXTREMELY SKETCHY). Towanna eventually refunded me for what I had paid for the veil, which I appreciated.
    In the end, I was happy with my dress, but I am giving this boutique a 1 star because of their lack of [clear] communication, inconvenience to customers, and their deceiving ways of doing business. At some points I worried if the alterations would turn out OK. They made the time leading up to myself getting the dress very stressful and no bride should ever feel that way.
