We LOVED LOVED LOVED working with Bario Neal.
We went to Bario for both of our wedding bands. The Bario team treated my husband so well - listened to what he did/didn't want and provided plenty of options for him to pick from. He was able to try on a number of styles and we never felt rushed through our appointment. He ended up with a very cool gold band that went through a special firing process so it's a little wavy.
For my band I was a little more indecisive (again, they were so patient!). I wanted to take advantage of the unique designs and gemstones that Bario Neal is known for so I ended up doing a custom design of a curved band. They were able to make the curve custom to my engagement ring (which wasn't purchased at Bario). The process was great - they did have to hold onto my engagement ring for a few weeks, but they created a 3D silicone mold of the wedding band for me to try before they created the final product.
We also added a couple of different sapphires to my band (sapphire is both of our birthstones AND we got married in September), which really made the design special.
All in all: a great experience, high quality jewelry at a fair price, and beautiful designs. -

My husband and I got married in Philadelphia earlier this month, and we used Bario Neal from beginning to end. To say we were happy with the service would be an enormous understatement. My husband had purchased jewelry from Bario before, but we went together in November 2021 to pick out an engagement ring, and it was such a lovely and emotional process. They were never ever even the least bit pushy. We picked out a gorgeous ring that I am obsessed with to this day. Bario also created a custom necklace for me made from an heirloom family diamond, and Taylor did an incredible job bringing my vision to life. We went back again to get our wedding bands, and they made the process professional and easy every step of the way. It feels good to know that we used a local, women-owned business that sources ethically - especially when we're talking about a large purchase that will follow us through the rest of our lives. We could not be more thrilled with Bario Neal and would highly recommend them. -

I didn't have much say in the engagement ring and he went for an expensive brand. When it came to the wedding rings, I particularly searched for sustainable jewelry makers. We actually found a local one, Bario Neal, who responsibly sources their gemstones and metals. Their pricing is also transparent on their website. I chose the Arco Curved Diamond Band that compliments my engagement ring, and my husband chose the Quill Band. We both went with the reclaimed platinum to reduce the environmental impact. -

So glad we found the Bario Neal showroom in NYC! The team made the process much less daunting. My now husband had never worn jewelry before and they made him feel comfortable and even excited about the process! They made his band and a custom band to compliment my heirloom engagement ring. We both love our rings and the fact that we feel good about supporting this company. Definitely recommend! -

Beautiful Wedding Band
We found our wedding band online on Bario Neal's website. I have really small hands and a very delicate engagement ring and wanted something that wouldn't overpower my hand. I also wanted the band to be able to be worn on it's own. Bario Neal's beautiful and unique designs were perfect! They event accommodated a one-day-early pick up after a change in my work schedule. We had a ring warming during our ceremony and received wonderful remarks from our family and friends on how lovely our rings are. -

In store (a cozy workshop/ showroom), they were very helpful in showing us the various options, trying them on and giving sizing advice. We had a short engagement, and our rings were ready for pick up in just under a month. -

Their work is beautiful, they are wonderful, and they are so generous with their time. I recommend them regardless but especially for folks who are looking for something a little "greener," as they use recycled metals and stones. They also do custom design. -

Bario-Neal in Philadelphia was the perfect choice. Anna and Page created the most beautiful custom bands for us. Not only are they super friendly and responsive, but professional and super affordable! I honestly cannot stop looking at my gorgeous ring! It is perfect! -

The company consists of two women, Page Neal (who made our rings) and Anna Bario, who are based in Philadelphia and really seem to be industry-leaders in terms of ethical and sustainable jewelery-making practices. Since our wedding, two sets of my friends who were very impressed with our rings have also hired Anna and Page for their wedding bands. Our wedding bands were incredibly complicated. We wanted custom rings made out of a stone we had found on the road in Spain that we couldn't identify but was important to us. The stone turned out to be an industrial bi-product that was extremely hard and difficult to work with. After numerous attempts and working on the project for many weeks, Page came up with a design that could incorporate the stone. The result is amazing. She was as dedicated to our bands as she is an impressive talent. -

We stumbled across Bario Neal by chance. We were going to get engaged and I had never wanted a ring and then at the 11th hour decided to check out some antique shops to see if I liked something. No success there, but then we just happened across Bario Neal and were fortunate they were able to meet with us on the spot without an appointment. I fell in love with the first ring I tried on and was sold by their ethical approaches and business model. We didn't even consider going anywhere else for our wedding bands. We had a great experience with all of their staff we worked with. -

My engagement ring was a custom design that came out beautifully. The quality of work is excellent and I love that I have a truly unique ring. The ring however does not fit properly despite being measured in their showroom. When purchasing a custom product, I expect the fit to be right and if not, the vendor to make it right, so ultimately the experience left me underwhelmed. -

Cracked Engagement Ring
Though I support what Bario Neal stands for and think they do beautiful cluster rings, I do not recommend using Bario Neal for your engagement ring. I have so much sadness associated with my ring because of using Bario Neal. My fiancé and I designed our ring based on a version we found in the store that I loved. It was quite similar to the original version; we just added an additional diamond and some pave diamonds. The ring was beautiful, but just 3 months after wearing the ring, I looked down and noticed a diamond fell out and the 14k gold was cracked! I was always very careful with my ring, and never wore it showering, working out, etc. We immediately took it back to our jeweler, and he said it was most likely a porosity issue with the gold. After Bario Neal observed the ring, they concluded the same - it was made with bad gold. Bario Neal needed to remake the entire ring. In addition to the remake, Bario Neal had to add additional structure to the ring, alluding to the fact that the initial ring was incorrectly constructed. When I asked Bario Neal why they needed to add structure, they responded saying it was not necessary but added to reinforce the pave stones.
My fiancé and I decided to use recycled gold for the first ring, since we were told that it was the same quality as Fairmined gold. Since the quality was bad the first time around, I requested to have it remade in fairmined gold just to ensure my engagement ring would last forever. After a week Bario Neal let us know they were out of stock for fairmined gold, and were not sure when they would get more. I assumed that since this is a huge part of their business, they must refill the stock quickly, so we waited a week to see when stock would be in. A week goes by, and we then find out that they have been out of fairmined gold since July, and had no idea when it would be restocked. My ring broke mid-November, so they have not had fairmined gold stock for months. I decided to give in a use recycled gold since I wanted to have my engagement ring for seeing family over Christmas.
Unfortunately the ring could not be remade in time for the holidays, and I saw my fiancé’s extended family and my family with no ring to announce our engagement. I also went dress shopping, venue hunting, cake tasting, etc, without a ring. We spent thousands of dollars on this ring that was supposed to be special and last forever. I am so sad and don’t know how to feel about this ring after the disaster Bario Neal has caused us.
I hope this helps other people make an educated decision before choosing their jeweler. -
