We had an incredible experience with Jenna and her team at Avant Gardenia. We had a very specific “vibe” for our day, but not a crystal clear vision when we came to Jenna. She took the time and asked the right questions to understand what we were looking for, and then perfectly brought it to life - from design to execution. She is an expert at her craft and also has high standards for who she partners with, which we really appreciated. She handled everything including our florals, lighting, and dancefloor. We could not have asked for a prettier day, and we received compliments on the florals from nearly every guest. We’ll remember this day forever and could not have imagined it without Jenna’s Midas touch!

Best vendor during my entire wedding process!!

Jenna and the Avant Gardenia team are absolutely incredible! Jenna was the best vendor I worked with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Jenna made me feel like I was her only client by how responsive and readily available she made herself. Her professionalism, personal care and attention to detail with every aspect of the reception (floral, linens, seating chart, chairs, dance floor, etc..) ensured that our entire vision came to life! I completely trusted Jenna and her expertise, and the end result spoke for itself. When we walked into the reception, my now husband and I were speechless! Our guest told us it was the most beautiful wedding they have been to and I owe this to Jenna and the entire Avant Gardenia team. If you are a future bride, work with Avant Gardenia and you will not be disappointed. Jenna exceeded all expectations and It was one of the best decisions I made throughout the wedding planning process.

Amazing florist - top wedding vendor recommendation!

Jenna and her team are amazing. I spoke to 15 florists when deciding which to work with, and Jenna/Avant Gradenia truly stood out from all the rest. From our first conversation, I could tell how perceptive, creative, honest and helpful she was. I could also tell how amazing her taste was! I worked with Jenna for about a year and a half leading up to our wedding, and she fully understood our vision, made great suggestions, helped us with linens decisions and executed everything beautifully. Our guests were amazed by the flowers and could not stop talking about them - the florals truly made an impact, more so than at any other wedding we'd been to. Jenna brought to life everything we'd imagined, but better. I am very particular, so this is really saying something! The quality and arrangement of the flowers, as well as the beautiful vases and candles really set Avant Gardenia apart. We were truly blown away and are so thankful to have worked with her and her team. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Stunning wedding florals and design!

Jenna and her team at Avant Gardenia created stunning florals that exceeded our expectations. From the gorgeous bouquets and church florals to the exquisite florals and table settings at the reception, AG brought our vision to life. We received so many compliments, including from guests who work in the floral industry. Jenna’s approach is very tasteful and collaborative. We contracted with Jenna about a year before the wedding and details kept shifting due to COVID. Jenna adjusted, suggested enhancements (such as complimentary linens) and then implemented the final design perfectly. We enjoyed the flowers for weeks afterwards as they were so fresh. Every other wedding vendor was also excited by our choice of florist since AG has such a wonderful reputation. Thank you Jenna and team!

Absolutely wonderful!

Jenna was so great to work with! She decorated our reception ballroom tables with beautiful floral arrangements at Hotel Baker and made all of the bouquet arrangements and boutonnières. She ensured that all of the flowers looked lush and beautiful, and came early the morning of the wedding to personally deliver them. She flawlessly executed the vision I had of classic arrangements of white roses and pops of blue (our accent color was a dusty, sky blue). She also decorated our wedding cake with cascading petals and it looked just beautiful. Everyone loved how the flowers looked and the variety of the votive candles and arrangements for the reception. Her services are very affordable and she is very responsive with emails and calls. We highly recommend Avant Gardenia for wedding services!

Absolutely blown away!

Jenna and the team at Avant Gardenia absolutely blew my expectations out of the water! We were referred to them my friends and I am so grateful we took their advice in going with this company. Jenna is incredibly responsive and professional on top of having the most creative mind of anyone I've ever met! I am quite possible the least creative woman alive and she took my vision and made it into reality. Walking into the ceremony and ballroom had me in tears. It was the most magical thing I've ever seen and guests were just as blown away and my husband and I. I already plan on using her for any future events we have! Highly recommend!!!

High-end, professional, and custom experience

We had the pleasure of working with Jenna and Avant Gardenia for our September 1st wedding and from the very first meeting we knew they were perfect fit! We had a specific vision in mind for our florals and Jenna immediately understood what we were looking for and brought it to life. Everything was customized to be exactly what I wanted and felt so unique. It is clear that Jenna is a designer and was always thinking of the big picture "look" of our reception. She even checked in with me the day before the wedding to make sure I would like it if a particular type of flower was included in the centerpieces. She was respectful of our budget and suggested repurposing some of the table centerpieces for the ceremony decorations which worked out perfectly. On the day of, the flowers were so fresh and continued looking wonderful for a full week after the wedding! Everything from set up to take down at the end of the night went so smoothly. By hiring Avant Gardenia you are truly getting a high-end, professional, and custom experience.

After getting minimal attention and lackluster ideas from one of the big name florists in Chicago, our wedding planner, Cindy Shanhotlz, recommended Avant Gardenia for our wedding at The Langham Chicago in June 2018. From the moment I met Jenna, the owner, I knew we had found a fit. She came very well prepared to our meeting, asked the right questions, and had a ton of awesome ideas and photos. We had a second appointment with her ~3 months before the wedding in which she set up centerpieces and table decor at her studio in St. Charles She was very receptive to questions, ideas, and tweaks I made during this process. Not once did I feel bad saying that I didn't like something and she was always happy to work within our budget and solve for what would look good but was also affordable for us. We ultimately spent a little less than what we would have with the big name group but we got WAY more for our money. Highly recommend Jenna and her team.

Avante Gardenia did an awesome job on the flowers for my daughters wedding in Chicago at the Art Institute, exceeding our expectations! Jenna is truly one of the nicest and most delightful vendors to work with in the Chicago area. As an out of town customer, there was nothing she wouldn't do to accommodate us. Her conceptual vision for Floral through execution is tasteful, sophisticated and one of the nicest in Chicago. On the night of the wedding, she was personally there at all sites to make sure everything was done perfectly and so elegantly. One of the best vendors we met and had the opportunity to work with.

Jenna and her team are artists. Literal artists. Everyone commented on how beautiful my flowers were. Jenna and her team were absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough about how beautiful my flowers turned out. Jenna took my vision, ran with it and turned it into a reality. Her team on site the day of the wedding were unbelievable! 30 minutes prior to the ceremony we had to move the location due to rain, they quickly moved everything, including all of the flower petals they had put down lining the aisle and brought it to the new location. It was such a relief to have them there to make the change and they did not miss a beat! I could not be happier with the way everything turned out!

The bouquets and centerpieces were beautiful. They also handled the drapery and lighting transforming the place from looking drab and boring to elegant and romantic. They were really accommodating to any last minute changes and adjustments and never gave us a hard time about it.

From the beginning to the end Jenna was AHMAZING. She gently guided my fiancé and I to help us hone in on our vision for our wedding. Jenna and the Avant Gardenia team did a fantastic job with our wedding florals! Everything turned out beautifully - we received so many compliments! I also want to say that Jenna was wonderful to work with. At our initial meeting, she immediately understood what aesthetic we were looking for and had great suggestions for how to achieve it. When our venue closed down 5 months from our wedding date, Jenna went above and beyond the call of duty with recommendations for alternate spaces and other resources. Once we were able to lock-down our new venue, Jenna graciously met with us again to re-do our plan and her proposal to fit the new space. For the floral with the new space, I didn't really know what I was looking for, but Jenna was able to read the between the lines and pulled up some images of floral that were perfect - exactly what I didn't even know I wanted! I highly recommend Avant Gardenia for anyone's wedding or event!

Jenna created BEAUTIFUL arrangements for our wedding. She understood our vision from our first meeting, which is why we chose her for our wedding. She had some very unique ideas that brought more creativity to our original thoughts, which we absolutely loved. I was blown away walking in to both the church and reception venues seeing the gorgeous flowers and centerpieces. Jenna was easy to communicate with and answered our many questions leading up to the day. All of the deliveries were on time, and everything went off without a hitch. The rentals were stunning as well and did not look ‘used’ as I had seen with some other florist we had met with. I would most definitely recommend Avant Gardenia for your wedding!

What can I say about this amazing designer!?
She was not only my florist but is my friend and I have had the pleasure of getting to know her and her business for the past couple years. I knew working with her would be a breeze and that she would give me everything I wanted and more.
Our first consultation she listened to my vision and gave her input which I loved. I trusted her expertise and advice and I am glad I did.
She not only creates bouquets and centerpieces, she is a designer and once you give her your color palette and theme, her ideas start flying! From the Jeff Leatham inspired centerpieces to the adorable polka-dotted piece for my place card table everything was unique and special!
I wanted my wedding to be one of a kind and it wouldn't have been possible without Jenna and her great ideas and advice.

Jenna from Avant Gardenia designed the flowers for my daughter's wedding and reception on November 1, 2014. One thing I really wanted for our wedding was beautiful flowers! I had a vision of the colors and types of flowers I wanted for everything, but didn't know how to it it all together. When I met with Jenna, she helped me put that vision together perfectly! On the morning of the wedding, Jenna delivered the bouquets to my mom's house where my bridesmaids and I were getting ready and they were the most beautiful and classiest arrangements I had ever seen! One of my bridesmaids made the comment that "those came straight out of a magazine"! The church and reception and cake were all decorated just the way I could have only imagined. Jenna helped make our vision come true and was wonderful to work with! You definitely get what you pay for with Avant Gardenia!

Jenna and her team did a wonderful job on our November 2013 wedding. I didn't have a very clear idea of what I wanted the flowers to look like, I just knew that I wanted the room to feel warm and inviting. Jenna was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to and questions that I had. Our flowers completely blew me away! Jenna did a fantastic job of using the fall colors I knew I wanted and crated visually stunning centerpieces, bouquets, and our place card table was just breathtaking! Overall I was completely happy with the flowers that we got and the price we paid for them. Flowers are expensive, but Jenna's quote was right on par with the other quotes we received and she was willing to work with us to make our budget work! I would recommend Jenna, and Avant Gardenia to anyone planning a wedding, or other event needing flowers!

After getting engaged in October, my fiance and I knew we wanted to get married as soon as possible. We set the date to Nov. 30th knowing that this would limit our options as far as venues, photographers, florists, etc. Another florist actually recommended I get ahold of Avant Gardenia. I spoke with Jenna on the phone 2 weeks before my wedding despite her having two other weddings on my date. She asked detailed questions about my vision for my wedding- winter, woodsy, and white. I received a quote, made some changes on my order, then confirmed delivery time. When I saw the flowers (centerpieces, boutineers, wristlets, bouquets) on the day, I was amazed. Jenna totally understood my vision and made it into something beautiful and very creative. The detail and personal touches cannot be matched elsewhere. It is two weeks past my wedding and I am still looking at photos DAILY of the gorgeous flowers that Jenna provided for my wedding - Please let that be an indication of how amazing she is at her job.

I've always known that I wanted peonies for my wedding because I can't imagine anything more beautiful and I had multiple florists tell me that it wasn't possible since I was getting married in July and they are a spring flower - but somehow Jenna made it happen and they were better than words could describe. My bridesmaid dresses were royal blue and I wanted the girls flowers to be various shades of pink and coral, but these were colors that you couldn't dream up - So bright & bold and they popped perfectly against the blue.

As for my boquet, it was one of the prettiest things I've ever held - I cried when I saw it because it was just right and I felt the same way about all of Jenna's work from the decor at the church to the centerpieces. She's amazingly talented but beyond that, a joy to work with and you can tell she truly cares about her clients. I would recommend her to anyone!

Oh my gosh! I cannot say enough about Avant Gardenia. I knew I wanted a lot of flowers and that I wanted them to be a focal point of the wedding...I just never imagined they would turn out as beautiful as they did! Our centerpieces were stunning as were our bouquets. Jenna was amazing to work with...I felt like I was talking to a friend. She was so accomodating! I have already recommended her to friends. Thank you so much Jenna and Avant Gardenia. Our wedding was perfect!

Hands down - Jenna exceeded all of our expectations. She jumped in with less than two months before the wedding when we had NO idea what our vision for the wedding would be - and delivered something beyond what we could have imagined. We told her we wanted something that wasn't traditional "wedding" and that we liked structure. Our guests couldn't stop taking photos of the tablescapes saying that it was by far the best wedding floral they had ever seen. Jenna's ability to articulate structure and softness to compliment our style and the amazing venue was a demonstration of true talent.

Our experience in working with Jenna from the first phone call to the execution of the wedding day was top notch. Jenna was very professional, and her vision and artistry provided the smoothest part of the planning process. My daughter was over the moon with her bridal bouquet. My husband and I used Avant Gardenia for a few occasions - my bridal shower, our Cambodian wedding, and our wedding reception at the Hyatt Lodge. From the start - Jenna was so fun and great to work with. We met one time to go over what we wanted and what we didnt want (more so what I - the bride - wanted :) ). Jenna was a blast to work with. We sat and chatted about all of the possibilities and finally got a gret idea of what we all wanted.
The day of our weddings ( we had two - a Cambodian on Friday and a Catholic and full reception on Saturday) and all of the flower were outstanding! Jenna showed up on time (and super early) for both events ready to go. All of the flowers - from the gift table to the sweetheart table were outstanding. They were fresh, full and had the best color. My wedding was in October so I chose purples, greens, and ivorys and it was outstanding. My boquet had these great full purple colors- my flower girl had a little green flower ball - and my ring berrer had a bring green flower pillow! The centerpieces were even better than what i had expected. Even my guests commented on the different pieces throughout the ballroom.
When you work with Avant Gardenia - your expectations will be met more than you would ever expect. They are professional, fun, and deliver only the best. Avant Gardenia will MAKE your wedding!

Jenna did the flowers for my wedding in October. She far exceeded my expectations. What she delivered was beyond anything I wanted. In working with her, I discussed using more texture over color and she delivered exactly what I wanted as far as a vision I had in my head.We had a lot of black and white in my wedding, with little pops of purples and greens. She was able to pull the colors of the wedding together perfectly, but I also felt that the style of the bouquets, the choice of flowers, and kales, and artichokes all really reflected my style. So there was more to it to the color, she added a whole other dimension with her use of shape and texture. Her eye for design is really unique to her. The flowers were one of the highlights of the wedding, but I also loved the props she used which really pulled everything together.
On top of that, she's just a great gal. I love her personality and spirit. You won't just want her to do your flowers, you'll want to be her friend too.
No hesitation on recommended Jenna for your wedding. She's the best.

Jenna did the flowers for my daughter's wedding last month which was a
formal tented event in our backyard. We met with her and several other
florists a year ago and she won our vote hands down just based on her
personality and her grasp of the vision we had in mind for the venue
(rustic chic, beautiful but not formal, elegant but unstructured...and it was a black/white wedding with just little pops of color). She did a fabulous job and exceeded our highest expectations. She used flowers we loved plus a lot of unusual elements (baby kale, artichokes) and was even able to score some french anemones for my daughter's bouquet which are not in season in the fall. Not only is she a true artist, she is a great businesswoman. She always returned calls and emails in a timely manner, she was professional and accommodating (bringing her accessories over so we could actually see what she would be using) and she incorporated many of our personal items into the table settings perfectly. Her prices were also very reasonable, coming in several thousand dollars less than other vendors we had interviewed on the north shore. She's friendly, charming and very easy to work with and she has an ability to bring your dream to life.
I recommend her without reservation..you'll love her!

I cried when I saw my flowers- they were the most beautiful out of any wedding. Jenna of Avant Gardenia made dreams come true with our flowers and decore for our event. She took my ideas, colors, and thoughts and made them not only real- but a fairy tale wedding. Her professionalism, creative process, and her communication with me was impecable. I couldn't have asked for a better florist!!!! Her pricing was great, her staff was great, and she her self was at the end of the event cleaning up. I really cannot say enough about Jenna/Avant Gardenia. If you have the chance to work with her, I would recommend her. I just LOVED the flowers for my wedding. They were amazing. I met with Jenna and she helped shape my vision. She sent many detailed revisions (my fault for being indecisive) and was very responsive and helpful. Many of the flowers that I loved were not in season but Jenna created the same look with the flowers that were in season and when I saw them for the first time, I didn't even care about the types of flowers I really wanted. Trust me - hire Jenna!

There is absolutely nothing negative I could possibly say about Jenna & Avant Gardenia. Most brides know that planning your wedding can be a bit stressful ;) Jenna was the stability in my wedding planning. Jenna combined her professional knowledge and her one on one experience in a way that helped me in ways a bride needs while planning. The floral arrangements spoke for themselves, the guests at my wedding were in awe over how beautiful everything was. I have already had two separate people ask for Jenna's info and its only been 3 months since my wedding. Jenna was fantastic!! I love flowers but putting a wedding together is a whole different thing! Our Wedding was at the Chicago Botanic Gardens..so you can imagine it's hard to make such an impact in such a beautiful setting...but Jenna was able to pull it off!! I am extemely late in writing this, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I love Avant Gardenia! For my wedding in October of 2010, I had been working with a different florist who just wasn't "getting it" I was referred to Avant Gardenia and had 1 meeting with her, in a starbucks, for 1 hour, and fired my other florist! Jenna got me from the very beginning and I loved the way everything turned out! I refer all of my bride friends to her! If I could do my wedding all over again, I would have pulled money from every other aspect of the wedding and just blown the room away with her design. She is innovative, creative, and very knowledgeable of her trade. Oh and she's really nice too! So, if you haven't booked with Avant Gardenia, call her ASAP!

Our colors were dark purple and light green. I know nothing about flowers but Jenna put together amazing arrangements for us while keeping us in budget! We had high and low centerpieces. Both were unique and memorable. We wanted minimalist decorations at the church. What she put together was so beautiful without being overpowering. Jenna also made a complimentary floral arrangement for the alter in memory of my Grandmother who passed away a few months before the wedding. And to top it all off the flowers lasted weeks after the wedding! Really loved working with Avant Gardenia!

Amazing, gorgeous and WOW! Those are the words I heard from all of my guests when they saw my table decor and flowers. Jenna did a great job. Our whole family was so happy with Avant Gardenia. Jenna was extremely professional, easy to work with and everything was beautiful.

Since I live in Denver I had to do most of our planning over email, which I was initially worried about it, but she made it very easy. I emailed her my visions, by style, and my budget. She worked with everything. She was also very helpful and honest with her opinions on all decor (linens, menus, colors) it was extremely helpful! She took time to meet with my at my reception site to discuss decor with the event director there and came to my parents house a few times to pick up some of the items I was supplying.

The day of the wedding she was punctual, calm and happy. Everything you want from a vendor on your wedding day. The following morning when my husband and I got to my parents house for a morning after brunch, all the flowers and decor had been delivered to our house by Jenna from our reception site. It was great to be able to use them again for the brunch.

The best thing I loved about her, was that I knew she wanted to please me. She wasn't a huge floral shop where i was just another person that needed flowers for that day. I also felt like a I could trust her and her opinion.

I got so many complements on my flowers, they were one of the best parts of the wedding. We had a fall wedding and Avant Gardenia really captured the essence of fall with earthy arrangements of oranges, reds, yellows, and greens. I saved my bouquet and it dried beautifully. I cannot even begin to describe what a beautiful job Jenna did on my flowers and center pieces at my recent wedding. Every single person in the room (including both my photographers) were in awe of Jenna's work. I am beyond impressed with her talent and her professionalism. She was also on time, and delivered everything in perfect condition.

Jenna is also great at helping you choose your flowers and arrangements. Her vision of the room was more than I could ever have imagined. It literally took my breath away when I walked into my wedding reception. Which is exactly what should happen to every bride on her wedding day. It's been a few days, but so many people have seen pictures from my wedding, and have demanded that I tell them who my florist was!

I would for sure use Avant Gardenia again for future services.

We used Avant Gardenia for our floral on our wedding day and had such a great experience! I met Jenna Sprengel through friends years ago and was excited to potentially work with her for our wedding. I sent my inspiration boards over in advance of our first meeting and could tell from our first conversation that she just got it. She was great to work with along the way and took our vision and brought it to life. It all turned out more perfectly than I had even imagined! Jenna has a fantastic eye and our wedding reception was like a dream with the most beautiful flower arrangements and rich greenery, surrounded by warm romantic candlelight. The bouquets were amazing, too, and held up great throughout the day. The floral on our wedding day took my breath away and I would recommend Jenna and her team over and over!

The flowers for my daughter's wedding were beyond anything I could have envisioned in my head. From the 1st meeting with Jenna, my daughter and I knew Jenna wanted to create just what the bride wanted. Our guests were amazed by the beauty of the arrangements at their table. I was so happy to be able to pamper them in this way. I managed to give away almost all the flowers by the next day. Being that many of the guests were from out of town, it was a challenge to make sure those who lived locally would take some flowers. Locals were happy to accomodate.
My daughter's bouquet was breathtaking. The bride took every advantage to hold her bouquet for pictures. The bridesmaids just loved their bouquets as well. The guests couldn't stop talking about the beauty of the flowers that complemented their dresses.

We hired Jenna to do our personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, etc) and a couple of arrangements for our ceremony. She was very flexible and patient with the many emails I sent changing my mind and making additional requests. Her prices seemed pretty average for the quality of work. Our bouquets were beautiful and the boutonnieres/corsages looked very nice as well. My only slight complaint was with the alter arrangements we had her do, which were on the small side and not quite what I was expecting. However, overall I think she's a wonderful florist and would definitely recommend her.

Jenna is so talented and has such wonderful ideas. We changed our overall idea multiple times, and she had no problem with it! She continued to be open to changes and was always suggesting new ideas she thought would work well. Everything came together so beautifully and she was very efficient. Definitely would love to work with her again!

Working with Jenna at Avant Gardenia was my favorite part of planning my wedding. We met early on in the planning process which is when Jenna really helped me create a vision for the wedding (I didn't have a planner). She has great ideas and an real overall passion for floral. Our bouquets were gorgeous and I received a number of comments from guests on our custom created centerpieces. Great vendor to work with!
