Wonderful Photos throughout Hotel/Church/Country Club Wedding Day!

Randy at Crane's Photography is so creative and visionary and takes beautiful photos. We are so pleased with our wedding photos. He really knows his lighting, etc. and picked great spots for our outdoor photos. The two of us had beautiful first look photos by a lake, photos by an archway at the church, and had sunset photos at the reception - all of the solo couple shots are just priceless! He also took pictures of us hitting golf balls in our wedding dress/tuxedo since our reception was at a golf course (country club). He also captured many family portraits for us and we love these as well as our wedding party photos. We also used Crane's Photography's photo booth services during the reception, which was a big hit and the photos were so fun. The service was high-tech yet straightforward and the background looked great. Thank you for everything, Crane's Photography!

Beautiful, JOYFUL, Photos

I looked at a LOT of wedding photographers. There are a lot of people out there who do beautiful photos, but none really felt like a fit for us -- either the photo style was moodier/sexier than I thought we could pull off, or the price was too steep for the amount of hours we wanted to have the photographer available, or photos felt too “posed” and cookie-cutter. Then we found Randy. The first thing I noticed about Randy’s portfolio is that people were smiling and laughing. You’d be surprised how few photographers feature photos that look joyful! The second thing I noticed is that photos weren’t all the same; different couples had different looks and styles. I felt like I was learning something about the couple by their photos. When we contacted Randy, we discovered that his work was not only in budget, but that his pricing included a full day of wedding photos – no matter how many hours the day lasted! Our package included engagement photos, wedding photos, a small album, and we added a photobooth for the wedding day.

Our engagement session and wedding ended up being two years apart (thanks, COVID) and Randy did an incredible job with both! The engagement shoot gave us a great sense of how Randy works and got us accustomed with posing. What I most appreciated was the fact that Randy caught the moments in between the poses – where my husband and I were laughing with one another or sharing a special moment. For the wedding photos, Randy joined me a little bit before 9 am and was with us until the reception ended at 11 pm! He had a second photographer there during most of that time, as well. I really wanted to capture the joy of finally being able to be together with family and getting to celebrate. After nearly three years of being engaged, I was determined to make the day as stress-free as possible and just enjoy myself. Randy picked up on our joyful, relaxed mood right off the bat and gave us the photos of our dreams! Our photos are bright and colorful (although he picks wonderful photos to do in B&W) and full of laughter, big smiles, and happy tears. Every part of the day is beautifully captured, but we are especially fond of the candid joy in our reception pictures. He got such wonderful shots of our guests that we sent everyone a photo in their thank you cards!

If you want wedding photos that feel like you, your partner, and your loved ones, I cannot recommend Randy enough. He is professional, easy to work with, and so talented. We are so grateful to have found him!

Excellent Photographer

Wedding pictures was the most important accessory of my wedding day and Randy superseded all expectations. He has a very high level of expectation from himself, which is reflected in his professional, creative work. He was always incredibly punctual, professional and has a Very pleasant attitude. Every interaction with him has been pleasant, even years after our wedding date. We got our pictures in a timely manner, and when we needed extra time to compose our album, he was very flexible, pleasant and cooperative. I HIGHLY recommend Crane's Photography, as Randy was the best vendor we worked with on our wedding day.

Wonderful experience!

We had such a wonderful experience with Crane's Photography! Randy was available and thoughtful throughout the whole planning process and during our wedding day. He was involved in the planning of our timeline and offered recommendations to make sure we could get all of the shots we wanted. He also made our guests feel comfortable as he captured special moments throughout our ceremony and reception! We received our edited pictures in a timely manner and loved being able to relive our wedding day through Randy's pictures. Thank you, Randy!

What an amazing photographer!

We absolutely loved working with Randy! We previously hired a different photographer for an event previously in the year and regret not having gone with someone of Randy's caliber from the beginning. He captured our wedding just as we had hoped, the emotion, minimal staged shots, artistic perspectives and scenes. In addition, we had Randy do an engagement shoot for us in Chicago - and again, he was great. We had multiple changes of clothes and several locations we wanted to use and he accommodated us for all it without any complaint. To top it all off, he sent us a hand-written note along with our photos (a great personalized touch)! Randy truly loves what he does - and he's a great artist, we are very happy we were able to work with him! We can't recommend him enough!

I can't say enough about Randy and Crane’s Photography. You can easily tell he puts his heart into all of his work. He is just a truly amazing photographer with a very talented eye.

You need to hire Randy!

My husband and I used Randy from Crane's Wedding Photography for both our engagement & wedding photos and can't say enough positive things. It was one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding day. His attention to detail can not be met. Randy is so hard working, punctual, professional and kind. He almost felt like a member of the family on our wedding day. We had so many gorgeous photos from our event that the most difficult task was selecting which ones we would frame. I had a list of several locations in the city I wanted to capture and he was able to get all of them; even recommended some I hadn't even thought of. I can't recommend him enough.

Impeccable Wedding Experience

My wife and I hired Randy for our wedding last Spring after consulting with a handful of photographers. He seemed professional and the large samples of his work that he displayed seemed flawless.

Come wedding day, his composure and guidance helped allay many of the concerns associated with what could've been a nerve-racking day.

I never really understood the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words" .... until I saw our photos from Randy. Every single image tells a story, is full of emotion, and brings us back to the happiest day of our lives. We booked Randy 2 years in advance, (before I even shopped for my wedding dress) because he so talented! I am so thankful we worked with Randy and his team, we have an abundance of authentic and genuine wedding (and engagement) photos we will cherish forever! *Side note, we are not photogenic people at ALL, and don't usually like pictures we take. I have no idea what he does behind that lens ,but Randy made us look and feel amazing! On top of all of this, he (and his lovely assistant Gigi) were fun to be around on the wedding day!

Randy with Crane's is fabulous! We chose Randy based on his work from our friends' wedding, and we could not have been more pleased. He was so easy to work with during the planning process, and he was very thorough with instructions for our schedule the day of our wedding. Randy has such a great personality, and he made us both very comfortable on our wedding day. He was able to capture intimate moments without making us aware that he was there taking pictures. The process of taking our photos was fun, and everything just seemed to flow easily. We LOVE the results and our photos! I would absolutely recommend Randy with Crane's!

Randy over exceeded our expectations for our wedding photos. We met for about an hour a couple of months before our wedding and he saw our vision. Not only did the pictures turn out beautiful but our entire bridal party had a blast as we strolled through Chicago for our photo shoot. Additionally, we stayed perfectly on schedule and arrived at our reception exactly as planned! I cannot recommend Crane's enough, the photo booth was also one of the highlights of the wedding for our guests.

Randy was hands down the best wedding photographer! From the beginning, working with Randy was easy - he was responsive, was excited and funny, had lots of creative ideas for our day, and understood what we wanted for photos (both candid and posed shots). His pricing was transparent, which was refreshing compared to other photographers we met with. At our first meeting, my fiancee was set at ease (and he had not been at any other wedding vendor meetings). That alone made the decision to work with Randy obvious. Our engagement photos looked beautiful, and our wedding day photos are amazing! Randy made all of our guests laugh with his easy sense of humor, and put me at ease as I got ready - it was like he was a member of the bridal party, even helping pin on my dad's boutonniere! He got great action shots of my husband and I dancing and some intimate moments during the first look where we didn't even realize Randy was there. After the wedding, Randy was very quick to return the wedding photos - within the promised 6 weeks. Our wedding album came in the stated time frame also, as did our photo video montage - both turned out exactly as we hoped they would. It was reassuring knowing as the bride, I didn't have to worry about my photographer. I'd recommend Randy and his team for all brides!

It was so hard to choose a photographer. When I met Randy I knew he was the one that I wanted for my big day. He took the time to meet with me in person to go over all my questions that I had. He was so knowledgeable and he is dedicated to making your pictures look absolutely amazing! He even does a timeline for your big day, so everything can run smoothly without having any stress! Simply amazing Photographer. A year and a half ago we were searching for the best photographer for our October wedding as we knew this would be one of the most important parts of our wedding. We searched for weeks until we finally came across Randy and Crane's Photography and the minute we reviewed his portfolio I knew he had to be our photographer!

We had the pleasure to have both Randy & Gigi shoot our wedding, which was the most beautiful day of our lives. We cannot begin to thank Randy and his team enough for being a part of our special day and for helping to capture each memory from it. They were incredibly helpful during the planning process. They had all the details down and gave us confidence that we were working with the right photographer for our big day.

We also want to thank them for helping both John and I to break out of our comfort zones. As we know, it is sometimes hard to be yourself when you are excited to get married and when you are taking pictures in front of others. They really pushed us to show our love for each other and excitement for getting married. This really shows in the final wedding album we received. The team captured the the huge amount of happiness and love we were feeling the day of. They also captured who we truly are individually and as a couple. We are also so happy that we were able to have Randy and his staff with us the entire day and that there were two photographers there to capture the moments.

We are in love with our pictures and are so happy we have the memories to share with others for years to come!

Our photographer Randy was absolutely AMAZING! We met Randy on a few occasions before our big day - we set up our engagement photo session, did our photo session at The Grove in Glenview and met the last time to set-up wedding day timeline. Randy was so knowledgeable about creating our timeline and it went off without a hitch! From the "first look" to end of the reception (a 10 hour day!), Randy was on top of it and seemed to be everywhere all at once! We had the chance to hop around Chicago and take pictures at multiple hot spots, Randy is is personable and made our wedding party laugh, he had so many great ideas for photos, but was also sure to take our ideas into consideration.
The photo booth and props at the reception were hilarious, we love that we have a take home album to hold onto photos of our friends and family forever! We had the most wonderful day and are so lucky to have had Crane's Photography capture every minute of it - we just received our photos and they are stunning!!!! We are looking forward to the next step of creating our wedding album, another great feature of Crane's Photography!! Thank you, Randy!!

Randy and his second shooter Gigi were absolutely amazing! Randy impressed my dad and I as soon as we met with him because of his passion for what he does. He takes so much pride in his work. Randy did such an amazing job capturing the love, fun and joy at our wedding. He is so professional and personal at the same time from the moment we met him. He goes above and beyond. He talked with us prior to the wedding and created a day of getting ready agenda that we were able to distribute to family and the wedding party- this helped us so much. And then, it rained, so plans had to change! Randy had a great plan C in mind and we trusted him. Not only is he able to capture such wonderful pictures, he also truly cares about the bride, groom, and wedding party. We had a fantastic experience with Randy. He is incredibly easy to work with and responsive. Whenever we had questions or needed adjustment, he really listened and made it happen without any problem.

Randy did both our engagement and wedding pictures. We are happy with both. He made suggestions on how to pose and which angles were best for us. He made taking pictures fun and enjoyable.

The final product came out beautifully. He made our wedding memorable. I highly recommend Randy.

My husband and I first met with Randy to have engagement photos done. We had not set the wedding date at that time so we didn't book him right away for the wedding, but after we got our engagement photos back (which was very quick), we were so happy with them we knew we HAD to have Randy photograph our wedding! Randy was so easy to work with and very responsive. We had a second photographer, Gigi, for our wedding day which was awesome! We have so many wonderful shots that could only have been captured with having two photographers. Gigi was able to take pictures of the guys getting ready while Randy stayed with the girls. Randy was so helpful with giving us tips and tricks to make sure the pictures turned out amazing! We love that we were able to purchase the digital negatives so we can use the pictures however we want!

It's so hard to pick a photographer, and I picked Crane's based off a friend's wedding photo from probably over 12 years ago. But my intuition paid off. I. Could. Not. Be. Happier. Randy captured the details of my wedding in the most beautiful way. My friends shared stories from the day and lo and behold there they were, captured in his collection. I couldn't believe it.
I have over 1000 and am happy with every one. They helped me relive moments I didn't know happened or moments I never want to forget.
Plus he's an exceptional value in my opinion. I highly recommend Crane's to anyone.

We hired Randy for our wedding on April 30th. Due to bad fall weather, our engagement session was the month before the wedding. We were out there for about 2 hours. He was very fun to work with and was also great in providing us instructions so he could capture the best moments. My mom was in town that weekend and he was able to sneak in a few shots with her in them too, which meant a lot to me. After we saw the album, we were really excited to see what he would do for our big day! Randy showed up at the venue well in advance of the ceremony so that he could capture the ladies getting ready and all of the small details before the craziness would begin. His second shooter went to a different location so she could capture all of the guys getting ready, which I thought was great of her to do. Throughout the day, they both worked hard to memorialize everything about the day. At times, that proved to be more difficult than others because our wedding party was so big. When you add family on top of that, well, let's just say they did a great job trying to corral all of us in for the formal photos. It rained all day that day and we were not able to get outside to take any shots at all. I was a little bummed about that but a week or so after the wedding, Randy contacted me and suggested we take photos downtown. My husband and I were both thrilled that he offered to do this for us and took him up on it! We received our album recently and it included all of the outdoor shots that were so fun to do. I have to say that the final album online is huge. There are so many pictures that we are really going to have a very hard time deciding which ones to use in our printed album. I would recommend Randy to anyone looking for a photographer. He is really great to work with!

We are so happy we decided to book Randy for our wedding! We had a fantastic experience. We had an engagement photo shoot first, which was helpful to be able to get comfortable with each other. The pictures were amazing, and the photo book was absolutely beautiful. Randy was great to work and communicate with leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, he was professional and very friendly with my family and friends. I was impressed with how he took charge and was able to get all the shots he needed. I received several compliments from my guests about how well he interacted with everyone. We just received our photos a few weeks ago, and they are stunning!! We love them so much! It has been very difficult narrowing down which to put in our photo book because they are all beautiful! We can't thank Randy enough for perfectly capturing our day. We are so excited to see our final wedding album!

Randy was AMAZING to work with. He was very personable, warm, down to earth and energetic. My Husband and I both feel lucky we met him! We got together several times before the wedding , and he was incredibly helpful in helping us figure out what what we needed for our event and how they would fit in. When our wedding day rolled around, it was one aspect of the event we could feel really comfortable with knowing our photography (and our memories) were in such capable hands. Randy brought a different eye and different perspective to the photography, and it was great having. We knew that everything was covered and not just from one perspective! During the ceremony, he blended in effortlessly and we didn't even notice he were there. Afterwards, he did a great job capturing the events of the day, and not just from the sidelines... Randy was right there in the thick of it on the dance floor! You can tell he really loves what he does, and thats great to see. We love the photos and the memories he helped us preserve. From the very first sit down with Rado we know we wanted to work with him for this special time. When we met at his offices to discuss he couldn't have been more friendly and professional. We were shown examples of his previous work as well as the wedding albums he would create if we chose that package; all the examples were beautiful.

We decided that night during the meeting that we wanted to work with Rado and his team. Our package included engagement photos that we took downtown one afternoon/evening. Rado already had amazing locations picked out that he took us to throughout the city to snap some great shots of us in the city. The pictures were developed and delivered quickly and we couldn't have been more impressed, Rado did a great job capturing the grandness of the city while keeping it personal.

The weeks before the wedding was when we were really thankful we booked with Rado. Those crazy weeks were a little less stressful with the help of Rado and his team. We were given a detailed schedule of the wedding day which eased our anxiety even more.

The day of the wedding was a breeze. Rado met with me and my bridesmaids early AM at the salon while one of his additional photographers met with my fiance and his groomsmen where they were getting ready. From then on it was such a pleasure working with both of them. We didn't even know they were there at times, allowing for personal moments between family members, friends, bridal party, etc. but at the same time capturing those moments for us to cherish forever. The actual ceremony was photographed amazingly. We were married outside with beautiful fall colors behind us that Rado incorporated to every picture, taking advantage of the colors and setting sun. I wish I could say more but the limit won't let me! It was such a joy working with Rado and his team and if we did it all again we wouldn't change a thing, thank you Rado!!

Working with Randy was such a great experience. We are getting married in Cincinnati next fall, but both my fiancé and I live in Chicago. Since we met and live here, we really wanted to take our engagement photos here. Randy was so flexible and easy to work with. He even let us take some pictures with our dog who is not the easiest to photograph. Randy made the whole experience easy and painless. We decided to have our pictures taken in Lincoln Park and he made sure we took pictures in all different places. Even after our photograph session, Randy was quick in getting us our pictures. We loved them so much!! He was worth every penny and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

We worked with Randy and he was amazing! Throughout all our photos, my entire wedding party was saying how amazing he was! He's the type of photographer to lay in a puddle if it will get him a great shot of your wedding. For us, he was climbing down an embankment with lots of overgrown weeds. We had him travel to Peoria, IL and even with the travel fee, he was still below budget and cheaper than Peoria, IL photographers. He's incredibly upbeat and great to work with.

Where do I even begin - RADO is AMAZING! We did our engagement photos with him and the wedding day - we just got married this last Friday, but he sent me sneak peeks of the wedding and they are incredible photos! Rado was with us the entire day and made me feel super comfortable from the getting ready photos to the last few on the dance floor at 11pm! He brought his assistant who was equally incredible to work with the groom and groomsmen during the time the I was getting ready with my bridesmaids. Both Rado and his assistant were professional, punctual, and got every photo I had dreamed of and more. I didn't even have to ask him for certain photos he already knew.

Judging from our engagement photos - which were stunning, I am super anxious to get our wedding photos back because I know they will be even better. Can't wait to re-live that whole day!

For close to five months we searched and searched for the perfect photographer. Literally you name them, and we sat with them, over 15 major photographer companies in Northern Illinois, and Randy by far blew the others away. We knew what we wanted, but couldn’t find it. After getting the run around at the “big name” companies, meeting with sales people and not the actual photographers, getting duped into signing a contract not knowing we had to purchase an album (ah yes the old album pitch at the end of the spiel that cannot ever be excluded out of the price trick) in order to get our pictures copy right released to us, and all these different packages “to meet your needs,” that once all said and done realizing you flew past the bronze, silver, and gold packages to find yourself in debt on the “platinum package” to fit your special 4 hour wedding with an amateur photographer …. A WEDDING… that these companies and sales people have no RESPECT or PASSION for because they think they can pick out of a line-up of photographers who “fits” your personality and needs! I get it, it’s a business but seriously try to show some sort of compassion towards the people that want nothing but the best for their very special day, other than dollars… and more dollars! So After meeting with Randy, we instantly knew that he was the photographer that we wanted for our wedding day. He listened very carefully to the type of pictures we wanted, and openly shared with us his previous work. He made us feel very relaxed when we were making decisions, and he NEVER ONCE tried to pressure us into a package that we didn’t want or couldn’t afford, even when it came to the photo album. He traveled to Chicago where we had an amazing day taking engagement photographs. Finding a wedding photographer is a tough task! You spend a lot of time looking at websites and reviews and they all start blurring together and you wonder if you'll pick the best. I feel so lucky that I found Randy and Gigi and their crazy-good photography skills!!! They are so down to earth and right away we all got along so effortlessly. They photographed our wedding at the Nature Museum in downtown Chicago and helped us navigate through our long and chaotic day. They patiently advised us with timing and were a positive presence throughout the whole day. All proofs were beautiful and delivered ahead of schedule. I just received my wedding book and I am totally in love with the artistry used to create this fine art album!! I cherish the pictures that they took of us and tear up every time I look at them. If you are engaged and planning a wedding my only advice is to book them for your date quickly.

One of the best decisions I made for my wedding was hiring Crane’s Photography. Randy and Gigi really helped along the way with planning the timeline and kept everything organized on the day-of. They brought the happy and 'can-do' attitude along with their cameras and caught every smile, every little detail, and every laugh. The photos from our engagement and wedding came out better than I could have ever imagined. It will be sooo difficult to choose our favorites for the album since they all turned out perfect :) The talent behind this team is beyond words. I could not have asked for a better photographers or better service on my wedding day. Randy and Gigi captured each moment PERFECTLY!!!. What I love most about their photography is that it truly told the story of our day from start to finish. You can trust them to capture every moment and detail. They split up during certain parts of the day so that we could get pictures of both the bridesmaids and the groomsmen getting ready. Randy got stuck on the party bus with us, while Gigi captured all the decorations and details of our reception hall before our guests arrived! :-)
As a bride you will spend most of your wedding day with your photographer and you want that person to be fun and easy to get along with. Randy and Gigi are friendly, professional, and so much fun to work with. They make everyone feel comfortable and look great. I recently had my wedding at Promontory Point in September this year but I booked Randy 1.5 years before my wedding because I knew after doing my research and meeting up with several photographers that not only is he talented but also super friendly, flexible and has great ideas. I can't tell you how happy I am with Randy's excellent photography work.I absolutely love my wedding photos!! Everyone commented on how beautiful my pictures came out. Randy captured my wedding with a mixture of candid, formal, and just gorgeous scenic pictures with my wedding party. Even though it rained on and off I still had 1200+ pictures. Amazing work!!! We can not say enough wonderful things about Crane's Photography and our photographer Randy. He did such an amazing job with our pictures we get compliments on our photo slideshow all the time. Photography was the most important part of our wedding so I did my research and booked Randy as soon as we had a date picked. I have to say you get what you pay for and we got more than I could have ever imagined with Crane's Photography, absolutely worth it. The work they do is simply amazing. Our engagement pictures were beautiful. Randy was so good he even told me what pen worked best for our guest book. We didn't have a videographer but Randy did such an amazing job capturing every moment that I don't even wish we had. We even did a mini trash the dress session at the beach which was so much fun and he got such great shots I only wish the water hadn't been so cold or else I would have jumped in the water. We used Rado as my photographer for my Chicago wedding this past June. Our pictures turned out beautiful, I have no complaints. He was with us all day, starting early morning till the end of the night. He was great and so easy to work with too, I had a big wedding party, and we were strapped for time in between my wedding and the ceremony which I was really worried about, but there was no problem, he got all the important pictures I wanted and so much more. I love all the pictures, but my favorites are the photojournalism pictures he captured, they tell the perfect story of our day. He has a lot of talent. Also, the turn around on our pictures was great, we had our pictures within a couple weeks, and before we got home from our honeymoon he had posted his favorite pictures (edited) from the day. I am so glad that I had Randy as my photographer! From the very moment I met him, he was kind and accommodating! He never took longer than a day to reply to any e-mails. He took our engagement and wedding photos and every picture came out amazing! Although the posed pictures were great, I felt that his true talent came out when he would take pictures on the fly. We were very happy that we chose Rado as our wedding photographer. He and his assistant took many great photos that captured the joy of the day. We love the contrast and bright colors of all the images. The editing felt minimal and natural. There were so many wonderful shots. He was very professional and very easy to work with. Rado was amazing to work with! I spent months trying to find the right person for our wedding and was really looking for a great photographer that was personal and that I felt was sincere. Rado definitely has those qualities. He was very willing to do what it took to get a great shot and did a great job with the family portraits. I was very happy with our pictures and the album turned out great! I would recommend Artois Photography for your wedding and plan on using him in the future!
