Beautiful and very tasty cakes!

I love cake and I'm usually so disappointed when I have other people's wedding/birthday cakes because they all taste the same: flavorless, waxy, dry. I found Martha at Artistic Cakes doing a deep dive on Wedding Wire and I'm so impressed. Martha was very easy to communicate with via email and I had my mom do the cake tasting since I live in Portland, OR and I was coordinating my wedding from afar. All of her cakes were delicious. We decided on doing a three tier cake with simple white italian frosting. The cakes were moist and so delicious without being too sweet. The frosting was the perfect amount. Martha was kind enough to lend us her cake stand and deliver the cake and decorate it with flowers from my florist. If you want your cake to be the star dessert, go hire Martha!

Amazing Service

Words cannot explain how grateful and blessed we are to have found Martha for our wedding. From beginning to end, Martha went above and beyond.

Martha is truly a wonderful person. She provided the best service of all our vendors. Sometimes it is hard to find honest vendors when it comes to special events, but Martha was so responsive and helpful during the entire process.

Her work was truly breathtaking. Her cake and cupcakes tasted amazing and so moist. EVERYONE was in love with how beautiful our cake looked! Her prices were also very reasonable. Can’t wait to book with her for our future events.

Look no further. Artistic Cakes is the best!!

Perfect Wedding Cake

We couldn't have asked for anything better! Searching for vendors for our wedding was starting to get overwhelming and finding Martha was such a huge blessing. She not only opened up her home to us for a cake tasting (we highly recommend this experience) but also explained all of her flavors of cake, icing, and fillings and made wonderful recommendations for pairings as we tried them.
Even when we picked the style of cake we wanted, she didn't hesitate to gave us additional design ideas and wanted everything to match our wedding colors. Throughout the whole planning stage, she made extra effort to stay in contact with us and keep us updated with her timeline (I can't stress how important this was as we had to keep trying to contact our other vendors as the day approached, which was such a hassle). She truly made us feel like we were an important family member to her and that she was trying everything to make sure our cake turned out the way we imagined it. And on wedding day she had the cake delivered and set up at our reception to perfection. It was such a wonderful experience all throughout that we will definitely be using Martha again for any future events we have.

Beauty and Taste of the wedding cake.

Wow what an experience, the cake was excellent in beauty and in taste. I would recommend Artistic Cakes/Martha Acosta to my friends and family or anyone who is looking for a cake. I had requested the top cake to be gluten free because of the bride and she loved it. Martha was professional and did everything she said she was going to do. I was so pleased with the service she provided and for making this a wonderful experience.

Truly fabulous

We had the best experience with Martha and Artistic cakes! Very professional, so creative with ideas. Quality ingredients, the tasting was so delicious, we had a hard time choosing! Delicious cakes! Smart tasting.

I'm so glad I found Martha on Wedding Wire. Due to covid, our regular destination wedding was canceled so I had to find a local cake vendor for our zoom wedding. This review is just for the tasting and I will post an update after the wedding, but I had to write this review because the tasting was delicious and smart at the same time. Because of covid, the tasting was more of a take home tasting. Martha prepared the various cake samples, fillings, and icings in some to-go boxes like the picture I attached. I've done other cake tastings and this one was the smartest method of cake tasting because we received a variety of cakes, icings, and fillings separately so that we were able to taste each combination and make a more knowledgeable decision. With other vendors, I had to prechoose the cake/filing combinations, but I'm not an expert on cake or filling so I was just shooting in the dark and hoping that Bavarian something was good (its not my taste). Other vendors also didn't let me tast icing variations, but Martha did! I get a headache with certain icings like with store bought cakes, but Martha makes this natural icing that is perfect. My fiance usually hates icing, but he loved the natural icing. By the way, the cake samples themselves were soo fluffy and delicious! It was difficult to just pick one combination so we increased our order from a one layer to a two layer cake with two different cake and filling cominations. Martha is a true professional and I would recommend her to anyone.

Update: I received my cake a few days ago and everything was perfect. The cake was here on time. It looked beautiful, and was incredibly tasty. I definitely recommend Artistic Cakes!.

Great experience!

My husband and I tried out several vendors before choosing Martha to design and make our beautiful wedding cake on 10.26.19. While other vendors were flakey and unreliable when it came to responding to our messages or setting up tastings, Martha was always incredibly responsive, friendly, helpful and very professional. We previously tried a well-known cake vendor for a tasting - Cake Studio of LA - and we were very disappointed with the tasting experience - the samples of cake were so tiny and we felt like we were rushed and not a priority. But with Martha, we were invited to her lovely home for the tasting, and she had an incredible amount of delicious pieces of cake, filling and frosting for us to try. She designed a gorgeous cake for us and even made two red velvet cupcakes for us to give to our daughters at the wedding. We highly recommend Martha!

THE BEST CAKE AND CAKE BAKER EVER! look no further for amazing tasting and amazing service.

Martha is an absolute godsend! I could not have asked for a more beautiful cake and dessert table. The minute I saw the cake and dessert table I was blown away with how gorgeous everything looked. From my very first meeting with Martha she put my mind to ease and completely worked with my vision. Not only were her cakes beautiful but they are more importantly (in my opinion) so DELICIOUS! We choose the Almond Cake with Raspberry filling and Vanilla and Pina Colada filling. All of our guests kept complimenting on how moist and yummy the cake and desserts were. Martha is the BEST!

Artistic Cakes was one of the easiest and best decisions we made for my daughter's wedding in May 2019. I initially found Martha and her outstanding cake business on Yelp. All of the reviews could not be more spot on. She is incredibly responsive, able to create any vision you have in mind and delivers it all in five-star fashion. Martha had the bride, groom, and both mothers in for a wonderful tasting experience. It was organized, gave us a fabulous array of choices and delicious. She made great recommendations and offered us cost saving options. She was willing to work with the fresh flower idea that my daughter had in mind and made getting everything together so easy. Martha also loaned us a beautiful cake stand on the wedding day that made the presentation spectacular. She personally delivered and set up the cake and people could not stop talking about how beautiful and delicious it was. I will certainly use her again and highly recommend Artistic Cakes for any baking needs!

We decided to use Artistic Cakes for our Wedding, after trying the delicious cake at our cousin's wedding, and I am so glad we did! Martha was the absolute sweetest to work with and made the process so simple. The quality of her work truly stands out. She made us a beautiful show stopper cake that was affordable and delicious, and I am so grateful. My mouth waters just thinking about it! Martha is Amazing!

Martha truly has an eye and touch for creating amazing cakes! Initially, all ideas I came in with for our wedding cake were proven to be doable and Martha did not hesitate to incorporate her ideas and educate us on what was most cost efficient which was of true help! You can tell Martha absolutely loves what she does and is in the business to see her work flourish. She understands how much is already being spent on special events and provides really great pricing and QUALITY work. It was amazing to see how beautiful her previous creations were and continued to astonish us with our unique wedding cake creation. Another great plus is that you are solely dealing with Martha from start to finish and meet at her home. She is really good about keeping in touch and answering any questions you may have at any given time. Her immediate responses were greatly appreciated as we all know planning a big event leaves for little time to wait. I will definitely continue to refer to Martha for our special events and absolutely commend her amazing work and professionalism!

I would give Artistic Cakes 10 stars if I could. Mrs. Martha is exceptional in her level of attentiveness, passion and quality of service. From the moment we contacted her she made us feel we were in good hands and we were! She was collaborative, welcoming all ideas yet recommending what she thought best, which helped in the process. Between my vision and her expertise, she created our dream cake going over and beyond what we expected. The day of the wedding she came to the venue, set up the cake and helped decorate the table to make sure everything was perfect. Most importantly, the quality of the cake was outstanding! Our guests loved the red velvet with cream cheese filling in one tier and the white cake with strawberry filling in the other. The cream used for the frosting is delicious as well! Finally, the chocolate cupcakes were to die for with yummy chocolate chips in them. The added touch was that she decorated them with the “love” toppers and rose gold holders, which wasn’t expected yet greatly appreciated. It’s very clear Mrs. Martha loves what she does and that love translates into beautiful cakes, helping couples make their dreams come true!!!

If you want to have the most beautiful and delicious weeding cake you have ever had, then look no further. Martha is an amazing professional that made the process of selecting flavors, and design was so easy and enjoyable. Martha is kind, welcoming, and talented. It was difficult deciding what flavors to choose because they were all fantastic, fortunately Martha's experience and advice made it easier for us to select our favorites. Our final selection consisted of the following flavor combinations: Amaretto with Raspberry Mousse, Banana and Pina Colada, Chocolate with Strawberry Mousse, and Banana and Caramel. It has been nearly a year since our wedding, and our family and friends continue to compliment us on how amazing our wedding cake was. I also recommended Martha to a co-worker for her wedding cake and she also loved her cake as much as we did. The only reason we took so long to write this review was because we wanted to include pictures of our cake which we just retrieved from our photographer. Martha, a heartfelt thanks for the masterpiece you created for us. I hope you will continue to make all our future special occasion, and “just because” cakes for us.

I don't know where do begin or how to describe the best tasting cake ever! Not to mention the design for my wedding cake. Martha is truly the best cake decorator around. Our experience with Martha from Artistic Cakes was beyond excellent. From the moment we first went to cake taste we could tell Martha was a professional and takes pride in what she does. She helped us choose the cake that best suited our budget and preference. Her cakes are very rich in flavor and also look SO beautiful. Our guests raved about how good the cake tasted. Her customer service is top notch. She dealt with us through the whole design and flavoring of the cake and was professional, so friendly, and patient the whole time. I've been to plenty of weddings and always look forward in partaking the wedding cake but no cake has ever gave me that wow factor- that long lasting desire of wanting more. But MY wedding cake was exactly that- I wanted more. My sweet tooth wanted more so I ate our top tier that was supposed to be saved as a tradition for our one year anniversary but that quickly was not the case. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. I might have a little regret not saving it cause I wish I had some at this moment. The wedding cake was a HUGE HIT, the guests loved it and I've already recommended Martha because that's how light, moist, and naturally flavorful it was as well as the presentation and price is reasonable. Martha is the sweetest and does not disappoint, just like her cakes! I am a happy girl and best. decision. EVER. I'm excited cause now I have a go to cake lady for future events. I'm so happy and lucky I found Martha and you will be too! She will bless your wedding cake, I hope she makes cakes forever!

Martha's cakes are gorgeous and utterly delicous. She is local, flexible, super easy to work with and very kind and accommodating. Prior to finding her, we had conducted a tasting at a high-end cake studio in the valley. One that specializes in over-the-top elegant looking fondant cakes. The cake at the other studio was not very good and Martha's cakes were much more aesthetically pleasing and super tasty - a huge hit with our guests. Her rates are also low and very fair. We basically let Martha know the style of cake we wanted (art deco), had a tasting of too many delicous flavors to choose from, and put the rest of it in her hands. The results were amazing. Thanks Martha!

(Note: In addition to the tower cake pictured, we also had a couple of sheet cakes included to feed all of our guests. Multiple flavors was yet another bonus.)

i planned everything long distance, but my parents interacted with martha- Martha was incredibly professional and flexible, and made my vision come to life better than i expected. She also provided other mini desserts in addition to cake which were beautifully presented, tasted amazing, and very budget conscious (although they looked extravagant). I wouldn't change a thing!

Martha at Artistic Cakes gave me a pinterest perfect cake. She was so easy to work with and was very helpful with the entire process, not to mention very reasonably priced. I received (and am still receiving) so many compliments on how beautiful my cake was and more importantly, how delicious it was. Artistic Cake's serving sizes are generous and we still ordered slightly more than we needed - I was shocked at how little cake was left. Our guests were going back for 2nds and some for 3rds! Martha is the sweetest person ever!! My husband and I became vegetarian after hiring her to make our cake and on the day of the event she surprised us with our very own vegetarian cake! Wow, It was such a pleasure working with Martha. She truly did an amazing job! From the moment my husband and I met with her we knew we were in good hands. She was very professional and very easy to work with. Her tastings were fabulous! We had a hard time choosing the flavors so had to choose more than one.Our cake had red velvet, chocolate/caheta, strawberry and pina. We are so happy with her presentation, outta all the vendors we dealt with on that hectic day, she was the best one yet! I can honestly say that our cake turned out better than what we expected. My husband and I recently got married last month. Martha was recommended to us by my husbands brother who's wedding cake she did for them as well. It was the best decision we ever made. We had so many different choices to choose from and believe me it was hard a decision because everything was so delicious. We had a masquerade wedding so I was able to give her my ideas of what we wanted when it came to the design of the cake. But really let her have fun with it. The cake came out amazing, the added mask to the cake gave the cake a pop. And the taste was fa nominal. I recommend Ms. Martha to those having upcoming weddings and or any event. Martha is absolutely amazing. She is such a pleasure to work with and treats you like family. Upon meeting her we instantly felt comfortable and like we could trust her to ensure our wedding cake was everything she promised it would be. We loved our wedding cake and as did our guests. We highly recommend her champagne cake with a strawberry French filling. Delicious!!!! Her cakes are moist and beautiful. We went with a three tiered cake and had a sheet cake in the kitchen as well. The flavors we went with were a champagne cake with a French strawberry filling, a lemon cake with French raspberry filling and a double chocolate cake with a cappuccino filling! All three tiers were everything we could have hoped for and more. The cake tasted just as it did at our cake tasting. We could not be happier. Thank you Martha for making the wedding cake of our dreams!

First off, Martha is like your favorite auntie. She's super sweet and gives great hugs! =) But more importantly, her cakes taste deeee-licious! They're super moist and just so good. She uses all natural ingredients...you can tell her cakes are of the best quality ingredients and she loves what she does. My husband and I got married this past May 2016. Many people say they don't care about their cake because at weddings, "no one eats cake anyway". Uhhh...are you kidding me? My husband and I LOVE cake, and we ALWAYS have cake at weddings (and not always the best, either, I have to say). We're so glad to have found Martha through a colleague. Her cakes are moist, the fillings/mousse/creams are so tasty, and she's just such a genuine and nice person. She's also replies to emails pretty quickly, which is always a plus in my books. Thank you, Martha, for such a delicious cake! Can't wait to order a whole cake just for the two of us when we hit our 1 year anniversary (although I'm trying to find other reasons to order cake from her before that).

If I could give more that 5 stars to Artistic Cakes, I would! We went to 6 other tastings and there was always something missing. Artistic Cakes was the final tasting we attended and our most difficult decision was which flavor to choose! Honestly every single flavor of cake, filling and frosting is delicious and the cake was moist and flavorful.. Not only did they provide a gorgeous cake with several flavors all of which were delicious, their price was half of what we were quoted at other bakeries.

****This is something that is so important when you are looking for a cake that no one really tells you about... the delivery and set up of the cake. I was impressed that Martha goes to the venue to make sure the cake is set up perfectly! The other bakeries I went to either charged extra to go and set up the cake or they sent someone else to do so and in some cases they put it in a box and a delivery service sets it up.

Martha treated us like family, she was so helpful in every way. She helped us decide how much cake we needed and how to do that while staying within our budget. I really cant say enough about her. She is extremely easy to work with, personable and she obviously takes pride in her work and wants her customers to be happy.

Dont waste your time going to other bakeries. Artistic Cakes will give you the cake design you want, it will be decisionl

My only suggestion would be to get more cake than you think you need. They say you should get 1 slice per person, however our cake was so delicious there was not one single piece left over.

Artistic Cakes was not in the same area as my wedding, but her prices are completely reasonable that even with the delivery free, it was the best choice. Plus, the cake is AMAZING! Don't hesitate to book Martha or you'll lose an opportunity to have the most amazing baker make your cake. I've used Artistic Cakes for several of my weddings and when I say the guest are standing by the door asking for extra pieces of cake, I'm not exaggerating. Better late than never. I had Martha make a cake for my nephews wedding. Martha had us first come over and taste the different cakes and icing. Everything was all set up and waitting for us when we arrived . Martha was very warm and friendly and share with us her own personal ideals. Everyone at the wedding really enjoyed her cake. She even made a seperate on for the groom. I will be using her again and I will also recommend her to all my friends. My son is still to this day talking about good her cakes taste.

Martha is amazing. She really talks to you to understand your vision for the cake, and tries to maintain the desired budget. We spent a couple of hours with her, because I was so undecided on how I wanted the cake, and I never felt rushed or pressured. She is very easy to get a hold of and is flexible in terms of payments. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have found Martha to create our wedding cake. From the start, Martha was super sweet, professional, personable and flexible with our cake tasting. Choosing a flavor was super hard, as all her samples tasted AMAZING. We opted for the yellow cake with strawberry filling. In regard to the design of the cake, we weren't too sure what we wanted. We wanted something simple and elegant. Talking to Martha and going through her book of amazing creations definitely helped narrow down our choice. We found Artistic Cakes by trying a wedding cake at my friend’s wedding. One taste of Martha’s moist, decadent champagne cake and we were hooked. We had to have one of Martha’s cakes for our wedding. Upon meeting Martha, she was warm, personable and very passionate about her craft. After our cake tasting, we ended up choosing the almond cake with strawberry mouse filling, champagne cake with strawberry mouse filling, red velvet cupcakes and fruit tarts for our dessert table. Martha was a treat to work with and is very professional. She even set-up our dessert table with her beautiful gold dessert stands to match our motif. I can't say enough wonderful things about Martha!! She made our vision come to life from the cake tasting where she was very knowledgeable and patient about explaining flavors and creams. The hard part was narrowing down a flavor! We chose Amaretto with mango mousse filling and amaretto with strawberry mousse and when we found out that Martha could make tres leches cake (my husband's favorite) we were so thrilled. She made it with strawberry mousse, a special request, and my husband loved it! I went out of my way to make sure he got his tres leches slice. We were so happy we had leftovers because we took some cake to a bbq the next day and all my family had cake and they loved it again! My uncle went to visit another uncle, his brother, in Tijuana the day after the wedding so our wedding cake made it all the way to Mexico and he loved it as well. She made our vision even better. Our cake was so, so beautiful and we received so many compliments on it. Martha went with our crazy ideas to do ombre from white to dark blue and she made this beautiful tree design on it. It was even better than we envisioned. My husband and I were so happy when we saw it at the reception. It was a delicious work of art. You will not be disappointed with Martha, she is the best!

Martha Acosta is hands down one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, which is a great basis for making wedding cakes. She is patient and has an amazing eye for decor. And the best part? Her cakes taste better than anything you'll get at Porto's because she uses the freshest ingredients around. Martha is AMAZING! I love cake and chocolate so when we were planning our wedding I was loving the cake tasting process. We had narrowed it down to two cake shop options that we were satisfied with but nothing special. Then a friend recommended Martha. I finally found the perfect baker and the most incredible cake I've ever had!

We emailed her to see about her prices, availability and to schedule a tasting. She promptly responded. We paid a fee for the tasting but it went towards our cake fee. For the tasting we drove to her house in Azuza, CA and fully enjoyed the cake tasting. She is very knowledgable about cakes, baking and decorating. She has two massive books of cakes that she has done over the years and she remembers every detail from each and every cake. Martha takes her time with you and answers all of your questions. She helps make the cake of your dreams come true.

Martha is a delight to work with, professional, friendly, creative, energetic lady and knows a lot about cakes:) We had 190 guests but we ordered extra (like 60 extra slices) so that my husband and I could have lots left overs to eat after the wedding. Everyone loved Martha's cake so much that there were no leftovers. I was so sad because for months I was dreaming about her cake. Luckily we had a slice of cake at the wedding. We had three flavors: double chocolate cake with cappuccino filling, double chocolate cake with raspberry mouse filling and double chocolate cake with english toffee filling. Our favorite is the cappuccino filling but they were all very good.

A few days after the wedding we had several guests and our DJ ask who made our cake. We recommended Martha to three guests that are getting married and our DJ.

I plan on working with Martha in the future for any birthday, anniversary or any big events where I need a cake. Azusa is not close to Los Angeles, but her cake and her lovely personality are well worth the drive. I'd recommend Martha to anyone who needs a cake!

Let me just start by saying that Martha was a wonderful person and so helpful in every which way. The cake was so marvelous that it actually looked unreal.(that's how good her design and style was) The cake itself was delicious(we had banana/no nuts for the actual cake with natural icing. Fillings we choose were pina colada/top tier, raspberry mouse/middle tier, strawberry mouse/lower tier) Again I can just go on and on about this place, but trust me when I tell you that this is the place to go for all of our future events. Not only for us, but for all of our friend/family.

Again I would highly recommend anyone near(we had to drive about 50 miles) or far to get anything from Martha. She is just a 100% perfectionist and I tell you that you will not be disappointed with anything that she does. Martha was absolutely wonderful to work with. The cake was beautiful and delicious - we had guests asking for seconds! I couldn't have asked for anything more. Martha is lovely, and she truly cares about her work. For the tastings, she had the cakes and the fillings separated so that we could mix, match and customize to our liking. She made recommendations on what goes well together, and explained the differences between the fillings. She was very honest about quality and taste. When she showed us photos of her previous work, she remembered exactly which couples the cakes were for - it felt so personal; she really tailors each cake to the couple she is working with. On the day of the wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing. Martha was extremely punctual and set up the cake herself.

When we were in the process of searching for a bakery and doing cake tastings, our biggest priority was for the cake to taste good. I know that seems obvious, but it actually wasn't easy to find! We did 3 tastings (Martha was the third, and we stopped there!), and the first two were with very reputable companies in LA. We found those so dense and sweet that I could barely eat more than a couple of bites. And we thought, well, if we're spending this much, the guests better eat the whole cake!

So I scoured the Internet, reading reviews and found Martha through the hundreds of glowing reviews. She definitely exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a cake that is not only as delicious as it is beautiful, but also very reasonably priced.

And even if you are not in Azusa, it is definitely worth the drive! I recommended Martha to a friend immediately after our first tasting, and she will be creating their wedding cake as well!

Martha is like the fairy godmother of cakes. She took my dream wedding cake and made into a reality. My wedding cake was beyond gorgeous. It was one of the biggest highlights of my wedding. I can't thank her enough. I knew she was special when I first met her. Her grater than life personality and willingness to do whatever it takes to make your dreams come true is what made me choose her as my wedding baker. Once we finalized the details of the cake, I gave her 100% control of the dessert table.....I don't do give up control.....EVER!!!!! But I trusted her from the very beginning. I knew she would deliver and she did. She is and always will be my baker for every event. I now offer anyone I know to buy their cake for any event because I know it will not impress at a crazy reasonable price but it will taste AMAZING!!!!!!!! Let me tell you the pina colada is to DIE for!

I recommend her to EVERYONE. I promise you, you will NOT be disappointed. Brides have enough stress planning and doing and making, don't let your cake be one more thing to worry about.

We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday and got Artistic Cakes to do the cake and cupcakes. Martha was very professional and we had a great time planning with her- from the taste test to the design of the cakes and cupcakes. When I got to the venue an hour before the event, the set up was ready and I was very happy to see a very beautiful display of cupcakes and cake. Martha was very flexible and accommodating with the colors and cake and cupcake decorations. The guest loved the cupcakes! The cake was so pretty some guests thought it wasn't real ;) The cake and frosting was very delicious. Guests were asking who made them. Thank you Martha!

Martha was very personable and professional!!! The cake tasting was fun but the cake on the day of the wedding was MAGNIFICENT!!! The details were delicate yet intricate and the cake was DELICIOUS!! I can't tell you how happy I am with Martha's work! She made the most gorgeous/delicious Tiffany & Co cake for our engagement party. I literally cried when I received it, it was perfect! In LOVE with Marthas cakes! She designed our wedding cake and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was stunning and people thought it was fake! Not only was it stunning it tasted delicious! We went with her Rasberry filling and it made my tummy oh so happy! Every single guest raved about the cake. We had a sheet left over and people were asking if they can take some home.

Marths is very attentive and gets every detail down. She is quick to respond to emails and calls. She works with your budget and suggests ideas that you would have never thought of. She also gives you options as to what she could do in place of something else or where to get things (brooches, flowers, etc) that could be within your budget. She is truly the best and I will deff keep in her in the books for our next event!

Martha's experience and flexibility was the perfect match for us. She takes her time in knowing what is it that the couple wants. Her attention to detail and her passion for great looking and tasting cake was a hit at the wedding. We got a carrot cake with piña colada filling and it couldn't have tasted better. We were really lucky to have found her. Her personality also made this part of wedding planning enjoyable.

My Wedding happened within 2 months. Coming down to the wire I forgot to order my cake. A friend suggested Martha because her cakes were amazing. Really what can you do with CAKE. Well, I trusted my friend contacted Martha and I ordered my cake unseen and not tasted by me. She made EXACTLY what I wanted simple and elegant with the colors of my wedding. The taste of the CAKE WAS AMAZING!! I had no idea cake could taste so good and to top it off, the price was about $500 less than what I thought I was going to have to pay for over 100 guest. I still have not met Martha, even though she traveled 30 miles to deliver my cake and put the topper on, but I can tell you her cake and the value you get for that cake is value plus!!

Our experience with Martha was amazing! Martha is so sweet and she really took the time to make sure our wedding cake was perfect. I am so pleased with her professionalism and her kindness. I originally found Martha on the wedding wire and I was a little hesitant at first because I didn't know her, but I saw all of her ratings on the website and I figured I would at least see what her services she would offer. When I first met Martha, she made me feel so welcomed and had a sense that I knew her for many years even though we were strangers. She is the most down to earth person you will ever meet. Her prices are amazing and willing to help you in anyway as if you were a personal family member of hers. Her designs are gorgeous and on top of that I got so many compliments on how the cake was so delicious. Mind you my husband and I are not cake people at all by any means, and her cake was delicious. I would absolutely recommend Martha to anyone and everyone that is out there, you will be making a mistake if you don't go with Martha. I'm trying to find reasons like birthday parties or other events just so that I could use Martha's services again. Martha is not only a great cake maker but most importantly an overall great person. Couldn't be more please in the choice we went with Martha.

Our cake/experience for our wedding could not have been more perfect. Martha was extremely kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The cake was decorated beautifully and was so delicious that we will remember it forever.

Not an exaggeration: When you enter into the world Martha “artistic cakes” it will leave you mind blown. Martha is the type of vendor that will go far and beyond for you. She takes great pride and confidence in her art that it makes you feel like she is making a wedding cake for her own wedding. She uses high quality breads, fillings, and crèmes. Nothing less than perfect!

My guests were mind blown by the fact it was a real cake due to how beautiful it appeared! When they tasted our wedding cake they praising the symphony of taste and textures. Many were saying how it was the best cake they have ever tasted. Those known for not having a sweet tooth asked for seconds! What I loved about Martha compared to other vendors is that she was always available for questions through email, text, or phone call. She is open to designs, different flavors, and is budget friendly.

Martha provided us with at beautiful cake for our wedding. We had a 3-tier cake with 2 different fillings in the main cake and 1 additional flavor for the sheet cake. From the beginning Martha was very quick and responsive through emails. Additionally, she was very flexible for in-person meet ups. For my cake I wanted a nature inspired cake and Martha took the images I provided her and combined all the elements I liked from each. Also she worked really hard to provide us with the best cake within budget and she very straight forward with how much things cost. Everyone at the wedding said that the cake was delicious, generous portions and the cake was very moist. I even had people attempting to go for 2nd for cake.

Artistic Cakes was an absolute Godsend! Despite our short notice, Martha provided an absolutely beautiful cake for my wedding. From the moment I met Martha, she was a pleasure to work with.

What is so notable about Martha was the time frame in which she worked to provide our wedding cake... She crafted a beautiful cake on such short notice, and after meeting her, I didn’t have a single double about the cake that I was to receive. Delivery was prompt and the cake arrived in perfect condition. Martha helped set up the cake and even helped resolve table issues. The cake was the focal point of the room (besides the bride and groom of course). It was beautiful. Martha is truly passionate about what she does, and does her best to ensure the customers are happy. Cake tasting with Martha was a great experience also.

I highly recommend artistic cakes- Martha is professional, and vivacious! Not to mention her cakes are absolutely delicious, look beautiful, taste is great, and the price is less to half the cost of other bakeries. She made us the perfect cake and it was exactly as I had hoped for. All around A+ and 5 stars, I highly recommend to future customers and especially any bride to be.

We were super happy with Martha and her services. She is very professional and such an artist. From the first time I contacted her through email, the cake tasting, follow-ups and my wedding day, we felt very comfortable and trusted that she would deliver nothing but excellence. We never once felt nervous about what the finish product would look like. My wedding cake came out so beautiful and it was so delicious. My guests really enjoyed it that they devoured the whole thing. I had an outdoor reception and the cake held up very well through out the evening. It looked so beautiful and classy. Martha is the best! I am so happy that we went with her. I planned my wedding from another state so it was very important for me to have good communication through email, text, and phone. Martha was so easy to contact. Believe all these reviews. You will not go wrong if you hire Martha. My cake was both beautiful and delicious. I got multiple compliments from family and friends that it was one of the best cakes they had at a wedding. My brother-in-law who is very critical was the first to compliment how delicious the cake tasted. That really meant a lot.

Not only is Martha a wonderful person, but you can tell she loves what she does. My first phone conversation with her lasted about 1 hour as she described the different types of cakes and icing. I knew that she was the one to bake my cake after that phone conversation.

Don't waste your time with other cake vendors. Her prices are affordable and the customer service is more than 5 stars. I'll be hiring Martha in the future for special events and referring her to others if they need a special cake or desserts.

When I first met Martha, she was warm and inviting. This is the first time I get married and wasn't quite sure what to do or what I wanted. I gave Martha my ideas of how I envisioned my cake and she helped me put it together. Martha was eager to give her recommendations and ideas and really helped me put the perfect wedding cake together. Every cake she make is personalized and unique for every client. She truly lives up to the title of Artistic Cakes and puts her heart into anything she makes and works with all budgets. She brought my dream cake to life and tasted absolutely amazing. She uses top quality ingredients and a variety of flavors. She had my guests asking for more cake. I would recommend Artistic Cakes to ANYONE. I am not living in LA but my husbands family is from there so we had our wedding there. Unfortunately I had to do all my planning via email and phone calls but working with Martha made everything so much smoother. I literally sent her a picture of the perfect cake I wanted & as I sat down at my reception at the bridal table I looked across the room and saw the most beautiful cake ever. I almost cried at how perfect it was. I couldn't be more thankful for such an amazing cake. It received so many compliments of looks and taste! It was truly wonderful!

Martha was so professional and helpful in creating the perfect wedding cake for us. We had a music-themed wedding, and I had told her I liked the idea of having piano keys on our wedding cake. Martha was absolutely amazing to work with. My wedding was on June 7th, 2014.

She did such an incredible job with our 7 tier wedding cake! My guest are still talking about it! Soooo many of my guest have told me they had 2-3 servings that night and family and friends are dying to order from her. Martha has already gained customers with my family. My mom loved her cakes so much that we hired her for my Brother's baby shower cake 06/21, which by the way was a total success! Martha is just such a sweetheart and has incredible talent for baking!!! Her cakes just have amazing flavor and are so moist and delicious!! & Martha is so flexible and definitely will do whatever it takes to make your vision a reality. My husband and I absolutely loooove her cakes. She has definitely earned her way into our new family baker. :)

Martha is nothing short of a miracle worker with cake. My wedding was just a few weeks ago at the Nixon Library and we ordered a 4 tier cake - vanilla cake with raspberry mousse filling and a frosting to die for. Martha's cake is super delicious everyone is still talking about how beautiful and scrumptious the cake was!! So many guests told me it was the most beautiful and delicious cake they have ever had at a wedding!!

It all started months ago when I contacted Martha via email. Right away she emailed me back and we were able to schedule a meeting. Martha is super flexible and we were able to meet on a Sunday at her beautiful home. She had a store front but was closed on Sunday's and was kind enough to open her home to me on a Sunday. At our first meeting I felt as though I knew Martha for ages! She really knows how to make you feel special and her enthusiasm for what she does and your event will make you want to work with her right away. The quality of her cake, frosting and fillings surpassed all the other vendors I went too and she was the third vendor I scheduled a meeting with. On top of it all her pricing was fabulous - she was able to give me a great quote on the cake and I was very surprised at how it compared to the other vendors but this is because Martha is such a smart business women and she knows how to keep her overheads down and pass the saving on to her customers. She is also very, very generous - she gave me so many freebies that all other vendors wanted to nickel and dime me for.

I really cannot say enough about Martha and her cake quality. There is no one else that can combine such beauty in a cake with an amazing taste that you and your guests will not forget. I promise you that Martha is the BEST choice for a cake supplier that you will find for your event.

Thank you Martha for the gorgeous cake you made that helped to make our wedding day beautiful and memorable!! We love you!!

Martha did a great job on my wedding cake. I asked her a simple cake yet she made it very special on my big day. It was very beautiful cake, it's appetizing and so yummy. Martha did our small wedding cake and 200 cupcakes for our wedding, and did an awesome job! Her cakes and cupcakes with custom fillings are amazing. She will work with you to get what you want. She doesn't do this all to make money.. She genuinely cares about her clients. We actually placed multiple orders from her and she was always on time and ready for us. I can never thank Martha enough for the beautiful wedding cakes (yes, I had more than one cake). I can not speak highly enough about this lady, she's absolutely wonderful. I contacted Martha 2 months before my wedding (I should have done it 6 months before!) and she was so accommodating and so flexible. I knew immediately I wanted to work with her, she is so passionate about Looking at the cakes, you would think she would charge so much more, but no- her prices were so reasonable. After tasting the cakes, I wanted to pay her more! I liked Martha's cakes so much, I've ordered 2 birthday cakes from her already and I'll continue to get her cakes from now on. I love Martha, she's absolutely a delight to work with and her cakes not only look great, they're delicious as well.

Martha not only baked our cake and cupcakes but also did the delivery and set-up. We opted for cupcakes rather than a typical cake, with a small cake on top of the main tower that we used for the cake cutting. The cupcakes and frosting were very tasty, and she did some cool artistic touches including sugary sprinkles on the cake that made it look like it was covered in sparkling crystal beads. Martha was easy to work with and responsive to emails. She met with our moms to do the tasting since we weren’t in California until the week of the wedding. Paying Martha to set-up her own work may cost a little more, but it is well worth it to ensure that her work is appropriately displayed. The table and cupcake tower set-up was beautiful and with all of the other aspects and items that have to be set-up at the reception, it gives peace of mind knowing that you have someone dedicated to ensuring the cake table looks perfect.

There are only three words that need to be said: Martha is amazing!

My husband and I live on the East Coast and our wedding was in Pasadena, CA. Since we didn't really have the time to fly to the West Coast to sample wedding cakes, I thought I'd check out a few reviews on Wedding Wire and see what people recommended.

Right off the bat, Artistic Cakes caught my eye. I looked at their website and decided to email Martha and asked if it was possible to make a wedding cake within our budget (~$200). Within hours I got a response. She offered me different options and asked me what concept I had for the cake. I sent her a picture of what we had in mind and told her that she was free to do what she wanted, as long as it was simple and stayed within the budget. I, honestly, didn't care what the cake looked like, but the pictures on her website were enough to convince me that I didn't have to worry about it.

She was so responsive and asked questions. She was quick to offer suggestions and always made sure to confirm details with me before she did anything. Once we signed the contract, I completely forgot about the wedding cake until she emailed me a day before the wedding just to let me know that the cake was done and that it was all good for delivery the next day. Mind you, I hadn't even seen the cake, so you can imagine our surprise when we arrived at our reception and saw this amazing cake! It was a beautiful, simple, three tied cake and it tasted amazing! I totally recommend the cheesecake filling. After the cake was served, everyone was telling us how fantastic it tasted and how elegant it look. It was just perfect.
