Delicious and beautiful!

Amy was so great to work with! She worked with us to create a small cake for our COVID wedding last year and the larger cake for our reception this past weekend. Both cakes were absolutely delicious on top of being beautiful! The cake tasting was such a fun experience and Amy was a joy to work with. All of our guests loved the cake and I cannot recommend her enough! My husbands grandmother told everyone about the cake in advance of this year because she loved it so much from the previous year!

Unique & Tasty Flavors!

We tried a few other cake companies prior to landing on Amy Beck Cake Design and her cake was definitely the tastiest! We had an in-person tasting and her charismatic personality and moist cake/unique fillings sold us!
2 Tiers were:
Hazelnut Cake - Salted Caramel - Chocolate Ganache
1 Tier was:
Almond Cake - Passionfruit Curd - Elderflower Buttercream
We had 50 guests at our wedding and only consumed 2 tiers. All of the guests RAVED about the cake! We were able to save our top tier and freeze it for our anniversary. I provided Amy with photos of my vision from Pinterest and she was able to replicate it 100% with the help of my florist (floral) and Etsy (cake topper).

Beautiful & Delicious!

Our cake was AWESOME! Pre-covid, my husband and I had a different idea for our cake that we worked on with Amy. When we had to change our plans from a 175 person wedding to a 35 person wedding, Amy was super flexible and worked with us to design a new cake that was more fitting for our smaller wedding at our new venue. It was absolutely beautiful! It was perfect for our venue and was absolutely DELICIOUS! Our top layer was devil's food cake and the bottom layer was almond cake. Everyone was raving about how good it was for days after the wedding. We highly recommend Amy Beck Cake Designs, and hope to work with her again in the future because her cakes are seriously SO good!

Delicious Cakes!!

I have had Amy's cakes at my nieces weddings and loved every flavor. Not only were they delicious, the cakes were beautiful!!

Amazing cake! Excellent vendor

Amy and team were amazing to work with! We had ordered our cake in November for our July wedding. The tasting process was easy and delicious! The cake turned out just the way we wanted it! Guests were raving all night about how delicious the cake was!

Amazing!!!

Classic Wedding Car was the perfect ending to our amazing wedding. Our grand exit from our reception ended as we climbed into one of their beautiful classic cars. We were made to feel like royalty with champagne and a personal chauffeur to our hotel. Classic Wedding Car worked with us and provided a perfect image of what we imagined our wedding would look like. They were flexible and very professional at all times and got us to our hotel safely and in style. We would definitely recommend Classic Wedding Car to anyone who is looking to add some gorgeous flare to their event.

Master of Her Craft

There are so many words to describe the amazing experience I had working with Amy - she is kind, thoughtful, relatable, and on top of everything else A COMPLETE MASTER OF HER CRAFT. During the planning process, Amy was easy to communicate with and completely understood my vision. Our tasting experience was intimate and exciting. It took place in her cake studio which is more like a showroom, with beautiful cakes adorning the windows.

When I walked into the reception and first saw our cake , I was floored - it was a true work of art with countless, beautiful sugar flowers. Our cake was absolutely STUNNING to look at and it was DELICIOUS. We received SO many compliments the entire evening, and for weeks beyond, about both the design and taste of our cake. Thank you so much for being part of our team and sharing in our special day with us, Amy!

Highly recommended!

Working with Amy was one of my favorite parts of my wedding. She completely custom designed our cake by combining ideas from a million different inspiration photos and we could not be happier. Amy gets to know you as a couple so that she really knows your vibe/style before suggesting design ideas. She is available every step of the way to tweak her ideas, work on options to keep cost down, and sends you detailed plans with hand sketched mock-ups. During our tasting she whipped up a completely new type of cake filling on the spot at our request. We cant thank her enough!

Professional and fun

Amy was such a pleasure to work with. We wanted a fairly simple yet beautiful cake and Amy gave us just that. It was beautiful!!! And most importantly it was delicious!! So many people commented on how good the cake was. Amy also added in a little fondant version of our dog which made cutting our cake so fun when we saw that! Amy is professional and fun to work with. Amy Beck Cake Design was a pleasure to work with. We had a vague idea of what we would like, simple. Not much to give a person to go on. Not only did I have the most beautiful cake, but the cake taste as good as it looked. I wanted a cake that uniquely reflected the Starry Night theme of my wedding. Amy Beck knocked it out of the park with the custom designed cake. I highly recommend this vendor.

We absolutely loved working with Amy. We wanted something different and non-traditional and she executed our vision with perfection, beating all of our expectations. My wedding cake from Amy from Amy Beck Cake Design was PHENOMENAL! I cannot say enough wonderful things about my wedding cake! Working with Amy was a delight, and she helped bring my dream come true! I came across Amy’s cakes during a Chicago bridal walk, and I instantly knew I had to have her design my cake. She based my cake off of the intricate lace designs on my dress, and they couldn’t have matched any better! It was even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! The tasting was a blast where my husband, mom, and I got to match different frostings to different cakes! Our cake that we saved for a year later truly tasted just as delicious as it did for our wedding! I loved Amy’s cakes so much that she designed for me a Chief Illiniwek cake for my husband as a surprise for our rehearsal dinner! Her work is pure perfection and art, and I absolutely cannot wait to have her design and create cakes for future special occasions!!

Not only was Amy’s service professional, she and her staff were very attentive and creative and we were more than pleased with the outcome. The design and taste of the cake was beyond what we could’ve imagined. All of our guests throughout the night raved about how delicious and beautiful the cake was. Amy designed our four tiered wedding themed sports cake which represented our favorite Chicago sports teams. The attention to detail on the team's logos, colors, and cake topper were amazing! My experience with Amy was absolutely amazing. She is a true professional--responsive, organized, and also extremely kind. I should note that I have never loved cake, but she made me fall in love with it! Our guests are still talking about how good the cake was, and it was a work of art as well. I would recommend her to anyone! The only downside is that there were no leftovers after the wedding--too many people asked for seconds!

We had an amazing experience working with Amy Beck Cake Design for our wedding. Vanessa was so helpful in guiding us through the tasting process, and we loved that we were able to use two flavor/filling combinations (which I enjoyed both of at our reception)! They even allowed us to ship our custom cake topper directly to the bakery for safe keeping and to eliminate any need for us to make an extra trip. The finished product matched our vision (and venue) perfectly! We highly recommend Amy Beck to everyone!

We cannot say enough about Amy Beck Cake Design - We contacted them with ideas for the ultimate dream cake and they hit it out of the park...and within our budget. It was absolutely delicious and gorgeous. They also helped design and then make the most adorable golf bag groom's cake - it was SUCH a hit. The best part of all was how easy and fun and kind they were to work with. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Now, the CAKE! It was breath taking! I couldn't believe how BEAUTIFUL it was! It was way more than I had expected! It truly went above and beyond my expectations. It was worth every single penny! My cake was very high quality and very detailed from top to bottom. 'Til this very day I still get so many compliments and questions about my cake. It was a master piece! I didn't want to cut it lol the flavors were yummy! My husband & I were very pleased with the flavor. I still have the top tier as a memory.

As soon as we did our tasting with Vanessa, we knew Amy Beck was going to be the ones to design our cake. I came to Vanessa with a specific design in mind and Vanessa assured me the cake would be the vision I had dreamed of. Throughout the entire process, Vanessa offered suggestions such as our cake topper to make sure it fit the look I wanted & was extremely easy to work with! When I saw my wedding cake on the day of the wedding, I instantly ran to my photographer to make sure they took tons of pictures & looked for my husband to tell him how perfect it looked! They had put my precise vision into something absolutely perfect! I should also mention besides the design it was absolutely delicious! My friends are still telling me how awesome my cake is. I would HIGHLY recommend Amy Beck & Vanessa for an incredible wedding or special occasion cake!

Choosing and meeting with Vanessa at Amy Beck Cake Design was one of the best experiences I had planning my daughter's wedding. Amy Beck has a beautiful shop in an old building full of cake designs, decor and samples. My daughter, her fiance and I met for the tasting. We had so much fun trying several combinations of cake and frosting. Vanessa talked with my daughter about the design, she sketched it out and delivered the cake as promised. I thought the cake would be a minor part of the wedding reception, but it was one of the centerpieces because it was beautiful. It tasted as wonderful as it looked!

Amy was wonderful to work with. She was very creative and always kept our budget in mind. She provided a beautiful, delicious 4 tier wedding cake as well as a very "custom" grooms cake. The grooms cake had 4 different themes and each tier represented something different. Purdue University, Chicago Cubs, Crown Royal and a Reese's candy bar. Her flavores were all excellent and I had many people comment on how delicious the cakes were.

My cake tasting with Amy Beck was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning and her cake was unreal!!! My mom and I had such a blast tasting all her delicious cakes - and our wedding cake was as beautiful as it was tasty. I came into the tasting wanting a "funfetti" cake, but wound up going for the red velvet/cream cheese frosting (hands down the absolute best red velvet I have ever tasted - NOTHING like a boxed red velvet!) and a layer of the carrot cake, which is what I ate on our wedding day. A word about the carrot cake - it is absolutely DELICIOUS and although it's not the most traditional wedding cake flavor, our guests went nuts over it and Amy Beck's version is INSANE. Everything she offers is delicious. Her team also matched some of the watercolor flower details on our invitation and it was just beautiful. Even on a super hot August day! You can't go wrong with Amy Beck's cakes!

I found Amy using Wedding Wire and went to 3 different cake vendors before selecting her to do my wedding cake. The experience was wonderful from the cake tasting to the final product. She was incredibly responsive and worked with my budget. The cake was amazing and we couldn't wait to try it on our wedding day. We got 2 different flavors and it was a hit at the wedding.

We used Amy Beck Cake design for our wedding at the Drake Hotel in May of 2014. The tasting experience was so much fun - all delicious! I had sort of an odd request which was confetti cake. They completely nailed it & the guests even a year later are talking about our wedding cake and how fun & delicious that was. The decor on the cake was stunning. It was a white frosting with gold foil pained leaves draped from the top to the bottom. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Definitely recommend.

Not only the best looking cake you'll ever see, also the best tasting! I used Amy Beck for my wedding. She made a custom wedding cake that was identical to my wedding dress, the detail was flawless!! Her and her staff also made a French bulldog cake for my husbands grooms cake, it was unbelievable how much the cake looked like our dog!! Our guests are still talking about how awesome the cakes were and how good they tasted. I can't say enough good things about Amy Beck and her staff!!

From the moment we met Amy our experience was perfect. We first met her at our venue tasting and as soon as we tasted her cake we knew we had to book her. OMG, I don't know where to begin. We had our tasting with Amy Beck and absolutely loved her energy and passion for what she does. You could immediately tell that she was born to bake beautiful cakes that taste absolutely amazing. Our wedding was October 12, 2014 at Drury Lane in Oakbrook, IL. We went to 4 different cake vendors, but we were blown away by Amy. The cake tasted absolutely amazing at the tasting and I trusted her to do a fabulous job. Well, Amy went above and beyond. I think it is difficult to exceed a Bride's expectations, but she truly did. The cake was phenomenal. Although, it was out of our budget...it was worth EVERY penny. We purchased a four tier cake. The top two tiers was Pecan cake with pecan cream cheese; third tier was hazelnut cake with alternating layers of raspberry buttercream and hazelnut buttercream and the fourth tier was devils food cake with altrenating layers of chocolate ganache and salted caramel butter cream. I also wanted a bottom decorated fake tier to give it that extra glam and I must say that the cake was GORGEOUS, absolutely BEAUTIFUL and was beyond delicious. All of our guests asked us where we ordered the cake. It was so good and so beautiful. I even called Amy the next morning to personally thank her because that is how impressed I was. She wasn't there, but I must call her soon. Amy, thank you for an amazingingly beautiful delicious cake. Oh, it was so beautiful I asked the venue if they could keep it out longer before cutting it. :-)

Amy Beck Cake Design made our wedding cake and it was awesome - well-decorated and delicious. This was impressive for a number of reasons. First, my husband and I have very different cake ideas so we had Devil’s food cake with alternating layers of pecan cream cheese and cream cheese and Almond cake with alternating layers of hazelnut buttercream and chocolate buttercream. The whole thing was awesome. Also, I HATE fondant but Haley advised us to have it for the integrity of the cake design and promised that even my fondant-hating self would like her fondant. And she was right - the fondant was amazing and I became a convert.
Haley was a dream to work with and really "got" who we are and what we wanted our wedding cake to look like. When I saw it for the first time I was speechless. I knew my cake would be gorgeous, but didn't know just how wonderful it would be.
Also, everyone was commenting on it and how it was so DELICIOUS!!! Amy Beck Cake Design provides excellent service. You won't be disappointed!

We used Amy Beck for my sister's wedding in 2008 and I recently used her for my wedding in June. She is extremely talented and does a fantastic job!
My sister had done a cupcake tower in 2008 and they were delicious! My wedding cake was three tiered with cascading orange petals on the side. It looked beautiful! She was able to recommend the color scheme and it turned out great.

Amy Beck is so good at what she does that you'll hate her for it. I don't say that lightly. We went to a few local wedding cake producers before having our tasting with Amy, but she blew them all out of the water. In fact, after our tasting with Amy Beck we thought it would be smart to further our comparison by still visiting other wedding cake vendors and after every single one we said the only thing that we could, "Darn you Amy Beck, your cake is so good that you ruined any other cakes for us."
USE AMY BECK! She's worth every single penny. She's kind and welcoming and an absolute artist. She'll make your day beautiful and delicious.
Cake wasn't a priority for us when we started our vendor search. Amy made it a highlight of our wedding.

We had Amy Beck make our cake. Amy was very nice to work with. She had so many options for cakes design wise it was hard to choose. She had just as many flavor combinations which were all amazing. We used Amy Beck for my sister's wedding and then again for my wedding last week. We had two completely different looking cake designs, and both turned out beautifully! Amy was a pleasure to work with from day 1 and clearly understood and executed both of our visions with 100% accuracy.

Not only did the cakes look great, but they tasted by far better than any wedding cake I have had and also on par with cakes you would buy fresh that day from any good bakery. In fact, I would say it's better than any bakery because her flavor choices in cake and frosting were so different and each so good, it was very hard to choose what we wanted! We ended up doing alternating layers of a chocolate bourbon cake with peanut butter frosting and carrot cake with cinnamon ginger cream cheese frosting, both were amazing! We also had to use fondant on our cake, at first we tried to avoid using fondant as we have tasted fondant at other weddings and hated it, but Amy's fondant was definitely a pleasant surprise and we had no problem using it to get the look we envisioned. We received more compliments than we could count about the look and taste of our cake, and we couldn't be happier.

Amy's quick communication, honesty, and ability to grasp what we wanted was absolutely flawless. I would highly recommend using Amy Beck.

Amy Beck Cake Design provided us with a delicious and beautiful wedding cake, plus a smaller version of the wedding cake (1 tier, decorated like the cake) in a gluten free version. I, the bride, and some of my wedding guests unfortunately have to eat gluten free, but we weren't missing out on anything by eating Amy's delicious cake!!! I went to the cake tasting with my daughters -- and we choose the Chocolate Bourbon with raspberry, the middle was lemon with raspberry and the top was carrot cake with cream cheese -- WONDERFUL. We had a Chicago themed wedding - and of course, wanted a Chicago themed cake. Then to complicate matters, I choose not to have a groom's cake but an unusual cake topper - a truck! I took photos of my fiancé’s truck (his pride & joy that he built). Amy replicated the truck & logos to the tee! She even asked for a photo of us both and she did our heads popping out the truck windows -- it was better than I imagined and OMG -- did Amy deliver. I would love to post a photo of this cake that Amy did -- unbelievable. I was hoping Jim would love it -- and he did. We had the ceremony on the Kanan and before the ceremony he went to take a look at the cake -- he was totally blown away. He was calling everyone over to look at it -- and then when he was called to go upstairs for the ceremony -- he kept saying "come here you have to see this cake -- it's unbelievable!" Not only was the cake fabulous -- it tasted great as well. I've had wedding cakes before that were not meant for human consumption -- and this was delicious!! Received so many compliments not only on the design but the cake itself! Thank you Amy!! You definitely out did yourself on our cake. Being that I am a cake connoisseur, well, at least I think of myself as one, I was very involved in picking out my cake for my wedding day. I went to 6 different bakeries to taste cake! (The best part about planning a wedding!)

Amy Beck Cake Design was our last tasting, and we were floored with the deliciousness of the cake. We tried all sorts of cake flavors and frostings; Amy Beck was there with us along the way informing us of various flavor combination's. She was very helpful, nice and down to earth and super easy to work with.

We decided on the Devil's Food Cake with Creme Cheese Filling and Chocolate Ganache frosting...decadent! It turned out absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing. Guests couldn't stop talking about the cake and even months after the wedding I still hear how wonderful the cake was!

She also did a fabulous cake for one of my friend's son's 1st birthday party.

I can't wait to use her again.

My husband and I had such an amazing experience with Amy Beck from the beginning. She was great and responsive from the first time we spoke via email. She was by far the easiest vendor I had to work with.

We met with her to discuss wedding cakes, cupcakes and to have a tasting. Everything at the tasting was so delicious, it was hard to choose. Amy even made up a couple more samples of frosting for us to taste, when we asked for a couple different flavors. She was so helpful when we were choosing pairings of flavors for the cupcakes. We ended up with Red Velvet, Passion Fruit and Chocolate Bourbon. Amy was able to make all the different flavored frostings look the same, so the cupcakes would all match. And created different shades of pink candy flowers to go with my wedding colors.

The day of our wedding, the cake and cupcakes were beautiful! The cake was amazing! And all the cupcakes were so delicious! We received so many compliments on both the designs, they were gorgeous with little pink candy flowers on them and the flavors!

We were so pleased with everything from Amy and so happy that we chose her for our wedding cake and cupcakes! I'd recommend her to anyone I know for cakes and cupcakes!

Our wedding photographer took about as many pictures of our amazing Amy Beck cake as she did of us! And they're some of our favorite photos from the wedding. We had heard great things (many good reviews on Yelp!), and were not at all dissapointed. When we met Amy, we had some very vague ideas about what we wanted: square; three layers; blue flowers; not over-the-top. Amy listened intently and then started sketching right away in front of us. She's a pro. She's inspired. It was for us. She didn't even need an eraser - we loved it (and my wife and I are extremely picky people). Then we got to taste some VERY delicious cake and fillings, which was a much more difficult process, because we loved a lot of them. We settled on a different flavor for each layer: pistachio with raspberry, red velvet with cream cheese, and chocolate with chocolate butter cream. Yum!

Amy Beck did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding cake and I would recommend her to anyone! We went to three different bakeries for tastings and by far, her cake was the best tasting. She looked at the pictures we brought in, the invitations and the color swatch for the bridesmaid dresses and immediately started sketching out an idea. I loved this, it wasn't like the other places we went where we could only choose a pre-set design out of a book.

The day of the wedding, I had so many people come up to us and rave about the cake. Most of them saying they went back for more so they could try all the different flavors (we had three different kinds).

My expectations were completely blown away and we really could not have asked for anything more. Amy was incredibily nice to work with, the cake looked fantastic and tasted even better.

Amy Beck was AMAZING. I really appreciated that every time I called or stopped by, I interacted directly with Amy, not another employee. Her cake for us was an artistic masterpiece. It completely exceeded my expectations. It was absolutely the showstopper centerpiece of our reception. I think that it has been tagged on facebook in my wedding photos by our guests more than I have!
You are missing out if you don't use Amy Beck for your wedding cake.

Amy was great to work with. I told her what I wanted for my cake design, and on the day of my wedding, it was exactly what I had envisioned.

The cake itself was DELICIOUS. I had several guests tell me it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. Having a beautiful AND tasty wedding cake is hard to find, but Amy Beck did an amazing job.

I'd recommend her to any bride!

After hearing Amy Beck's name several times throughout the wedding planning process, my fiance and I decided to arrange a consultation with her for our wedding cupcakes. Not only were we blown away by all the delicious cake flavors we tasted, but we were also blown away by Amy's incredible creativity! Inspired by our invitations, she created the most beautiful replica for our top tier, along with a tower of equally beautiful cupcakes, which our guests RAVED about all night (and even after the wedding!). We absolutely could not be happier with the end result, and we would recommend Amy Beck to any bride in a heartbeat!

I recommend Amy Beck for your wedding without any reservations! She was extremely flexible and accomodating with tasting appointments, which was very important to me as my work schedule can stay pretty crazy and unpredictable. Her cakes actually tasted amazing...not just good for a wedding cake, but Amazing for cakes in general. And, they were beautiful, creative, and perfectly executed! I had guests all night tell me not only that the cakes were lovely, but that they were the absolute best wedding cake they have ever had. The only negative thing I can say is that there was not much left over for me to enjoy!!

I absolutely loved my wedding cakes! I saw Amy at a bridal show and out of all the cakes I saw and tasted, hers drew me in immediately. The cake on display was so me. We made an appointment for taste testing--everything was wonderful! We tweaked the cake we saw a bit and we added a groom's cake that looked like a mummy (we had a Halloween wedding). Everything was so tasty and beautiful and we had so many wonderful compliments from our guests! I am very happy that we chose Amy to help make our day so special!

Amy was a pleasure to work with. She took our dream wedding cake and made it a reality. The cake looked amazing, and more importantly, it was delicious! The price was also good for the quality of the cake. She even made the top tier gluten-free for me! It was so great to be able to eat my own wedding cake.

There is no way to even come close to describing how absolutely wonderful Amy Beck of Amy Beck Cake Design is. The first time we met with Amy we absolutely loved her. We had our parents with us in addition to our wedding planner and Amy took the time to address each individual person's concerns and ideas. She was so patient with us and had such wonderful ideas. We felt so comfortable with her. Our cake was absolutely breathtaking. We asked Amy to incorporate design from my wedding dress as well as our own personal motif that we had designed into the cake, and she could not have done this better. We had a 5 tier cake, with each tier a different flavor combination, and Amy incorporated cascadng stephanotis flowers in different shades of teal blue (our color). She also made an AMAZING groom's cake in the shape of Southpaw (the Chicago White Sox mascot) for my husband and he could not have been more thrilled. In addition to the breathtaking design of our cake, the cake was absolutely delicious. No one stopped talking about it for weeks after the wedding. We love Amy Beck Cake Design and plan on coming to her for all of our future events. We strongly recommend her.

We wanted it all for our wedding cake it needed to look amazing but taste fantastic too. Amy Beck completely delivered! We were blown away when we tasted her cake and fillings and butter cream. AMAZING!

We had 3 different flavors each one was wonderful
Top and second tier: vanilla buttercake with raspberry
buttercream
Third tier: Coconut cake with key lime pie buttercream
Bottom tier: Chocolate bourbon cake with hazelnut
Buttercream

We discussed designs with her and she was very helpful with what would look good. She took some of the designs that were a part of our day and incorporated into the cake.
I LOVED that it was square, but also the layers were varying heights! BEAUTIFUL AND YUMMY!

Her cakes are not cheap, but we found it was worth it!

Amy designed our wedding cake. We went through photos together, showed her what we liked, then she made sketches incorporating details and our own requests for design. It was the most gorgeous cake, and it turned out so much better than I even hoped it would. The guests made so many positive comments about how creative, beautiful and delicious this cake was, and even the photographer must have taken 20 photos of it. Amy was easy to work with, friendly, creative, and excellent at her job! The cake was delivered on time and she took care of the details. The cake was one of my favorite parts of the wedding - would recommend her to anyone!

Outstanding work! Amy is a pleasure to work with. Her cakes taste wonderful (we did a vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream, then a layer of almond with almond buttercream), and they are truly breathtaking. She designed our cake from scratch based on various pictures that I showed her...it was perfect. The colors were spot on, and the artwork was flawless. And, as already said, the cake was delicious, too. In fact, it was so good we weren't able to save our top tier for our first anniversary...we ate it the night after our Sunday morning wedding! I'm already planning on having Amy make a scaled-down version for our 1st anniversary.
You can't go wrong with this vendor - highly recommended!

Amy is not only delightful to work with, her cakes are amazing!! We met her at a wedding show a year before our wedding, but fell in love with her and her designs and immediately scheduled an appointment and booked her just as quickly. We really enjoyed working with her and were beyond thrilled when our wedding cake was delivered...it was beautiful! I recommend Amy to anyone getting married or looking for a cake for any occasion. She's definitely worth every penny!!

Working with Amy was fantastic from start to finish. During our tasting, she was very collaborative in helping us find something that was right for us--very tricky since my wife and I have essentially opposite dessert tastes.

Once we found a cake flavor that worked well for both of us (almond!), Amy was extremely helpful in advising us on what flavors of buttercream would complement it the best, how many tiers, etc. Amy was also very accommodating when we requested that the almonds in the cake be ground up more finely, so that the cake wouldn't be crunchy.

The eventually result was a tiramisu-inspired cake with delicious cappuccino/almond flavor that both we and our guests loved. It was really, really delicious--and we couldn't have put it together without Amy's help. We are counting down the days until we can unfreeze and try it again in a year!

Amy Beck Cake Design was so fun and easy to work with. Amy was really flexible when scheduling our tasting and initial consultation and really worked with us to clearly understand what we wanted. The top tier of the cake was Gluten Free, half chocolate, half vanilla with a mint chocolate chip filling, this tier was so good, you would never know it was Gluten Free. The other tiers where chocolate with a chocolate filling, almond with a raspberry filling and pumpkin with a cream cheese filling, perfect for an October wedding. I was disappointed at the end of the night when there was no cake left only to discover it was because our guests were asking for seconds and thirds of the cake, unheard of for wedding cakes! We hope to be able to order a cake similar to our wedding cake for our one year anniversary!

Amy did a grooms cake for me - my husband loves Mark Knopfler so I gave her a picture of a signature guitar. Everyone thought it was so cool! Not only did she replicate the guitar, but she replicated his signature on there! VERY NEAT! My tasting was a lot of fun - I was keeping it a secret from my husband so I went there alone and had a great time tasting and a hard time choosing! Amy helped me pick out some great combos of cake/frosting - Yum! I loved the laid back atmosphere of the tasting and knew that I was in good hands - Amy obviously knew what she was doing and all around me were these beautiful cakes they were making for other events. I was overwhelmed with how stunning these designs were. My cake was beautifully presented at the reception and I couldn't have been more pleased. I got a lot of compliments on it!

Unique, Delicious, and Outstanding Cakes

Amy Beck was a wonderful vendor for us. We wanted a different take on a wedding cake - lots of flavor and a bright, deconstructed design. She did an amazing job. The flavors that she had really popped, and she was more than willing to work with us on unique fillings (we requested a red current preserves - no problem). The cakes are truly delicious, not dry or dense, and the frosting is light and not supersweet (Italian, not American buttercream). Best of all, she executed our funky, colorful designs perfectly from just a few pictures and a description of what we wanted. Her communication and artistic eye is stellar. Highly recommended!

I was referred to Amy Beck Cake design and from the moment we started our cake tasting appointment I knew she was the one to do our wedding cake. Not only do her cakes look beautiful but they taste amazing! We were able to select a few of her previous designs and customize for the look we were wanting to do. We loved how you could mix and match different flavors and when we inquired about a flavor she didn't have-
she took the time to see if she had it and brought it out. She was patient with us during the cake tasting process as we asked questions to determine our final selections. We received so many compliments at the wedding on the beautiful look but also how great the cake tasted. Our flavor combination of devils food cake with salted caramel and chocolate buttercream was a big hit!

The cake Amy did for our baby's gender reveal party, a 3-tiered cake with superheroes and princesses, was AMAZING!!! We only told her our favorite characters, and let her come up with the best artistic style. The cake perfectly tied into our theme, and the guests were raving about it. Not to mention the taste. Lots of people had multiple slices. I had enough to take home as well, which made my preggo self very happy!! I still get happy thinking about the chocolate devil’s food cake with Salted Caramel buttercream...mmmmm!!!

We used Amy Beck for our wedding cake. We had a 3 tier cake with two flavors (almond cake with raspberry and chocolate ganache & passion fruit cake with passion fruit butter creme). Amy was great to work with and clearly has a passion for her craft. She will work with you on what price point you want to be at for your cake...like most things in the wedding industry prices can be a wide range. Amy worked with us on what we wanted to spend, & the look and we ended up with a delicious and also beautiful cake. She was also helpful on guidance for a cake stand and what would be ideal. I can't wait till our anniversary to have the almond cake!!

Amy did a great job designing our cake and incorporating details from my dress into the flowers on our cake. She even helped us find a cake stand to rent when I couldn't find one I was looking for online. The cake tasted fantastic, and we received lots of compliments from guests. Would definitely recommend her cakes.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious - really moist, light, and flavorful, which we hadn't always found to be the case with tasting cakes (including, to be honest, the tasting cake from Amy - probably because she was nice enough to ship it to us in New York). We ordered German chocolate, and it was a huge hit with us and with our guests. And, of course, no one makes a more gorgeous-looking cake. All-around great experience; thanks, Amy!
