Roy was great

We initially hired Kelly, but due to a conflict in her schedule, ended up having Roy, her husband officiate our wedding. Roy was funny, charming, and made the ceremony a special experience. I really would recommend Roy or Kelly for your wedding. They were both professional, and empathetic to a nervous bride . Can’t say enough good things here.

Kelly is amazing!

Kelly was so nice and friendly! She recommended us to someone for our flowers and asked us if we needed anything else. The day of the wedding she was so kind and friendly. She helped to calm our nerves and she was very professional during our ceremony. Highly recommend Kelly!

Supported us every step of the way

Kelly's husband, Roy, was our officiant for our wedding ceremony. We met with him twice at their home office, once before booking and once about a month before the wedding, which was a great chance to get to know him and him to know us. They sent us tons of options for ceremonies so that we could choose the parts with worked best for us. He was a god-send at the rehearsal, where he and my venue coordinator ran everything so that me and my fiancé could relax. They have an extra charge to do the rehearsal, but it was completely worth it since their fees are not that high to start with. During the ceremony he was relaxed yet reverent, exactly the tone we were looking for. We had wanted a female to do our ceremony, but after meeting Roy we could see that he was not a man of the patriarchy, so to speak, and didn't make us feel uncomfortable in terms of assuming traditional gender roles or religious tones. Thank you so much Roy!

Wonderful to work with

Kelly was great to work with! She was extremely responsive and resourceful. Kelly had so many ceremony options to choose from, which helped us tremendously. Kelly also performed the ceremony so beautifully, we were very thankful to have her marry us!

A rattlesnake, some geese, and the perfect day to get hitched

My husband and I had our ceremony performed by Kelly in 2015. Sorry about it taking so long to write this review... I was uhhhh... washing my hair.

Kelly made this whole ordeal so simple for us. It was pre-marriage equality so we had to travel from Texas to New Mexico. She suggested a venue since it would just be the two of us and two guests, and we set up the date and time. Through Kelly we hired two witnesses and we got the deal done. It was a gorgeous sunny day, it was warm, there was snow on the side of the mountains, a rattlesnake was sunning on a rock, some geese were screaming at each other in a little pond, and I can't imagine a better day for it all.

Kelly is warm, generous, patient, and loving. I am so grateful to her for helping us make it through to the other side of couple-hood. Here we are, almost exactly seven years later, and she still crosses my mind.

Go with Kelly. You will be so glad you did.

We Love Kelly!

Kelly…what can I say about her. We just love her. She performed both of our ceremonies. We were officially married in April, in our living room, because of the COVID capacity restrictions. Our formal ceremony was postponed to September, and we decided to hire her for that one too. She asked ahead of time what color she should wear so she didn't clash with the wedding party, and I thought that was so thoughtful. I would have never thought of that. She was so lovely and professional; we felt her services were needed for both ceremonies we had.

She took the time to send us a wealth of vow options so we’d have somewhere to start. That was a life-saver for us. For the first ceremony we mixed and matched verbiage from the various vow options. We selected one of her vow options for the second ceremony, with a couple deletions, and she even offered to add to that verbiage to ensure it was an appropriate length. Her additions were breathtaking and perfect.

When she arrived for the formal ceremony in September at Tanoan Country Club, she hunted us down in the dressing room to check in and be sure everything was going well. I’m glad she did because I forgot a small detail that would have messed up the ceremony. She was kind enough to ask me about it to ensure things were in order.

Kelly was wonderful throughout our wedding experiences this year. If you can book her, you should! She is professional, efficient, kind and thoughtful.

Excellent experience

This is my very first marriage, so I didn't know what to expect, honestly. I was in charge of planning every detail of my wedding. I really had no guidance, no direction, no help at all. I found Kelly Atkin on line and decided to give her a try. She only had a TWO week notice but she took on the challenge like a trooper. Kelly was not only able to work with a short notice but she made our elopement something special and meaningful! She really helped to ease my fears/anxiety through this whole process. Kelly is truly a top notch professional and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND her!

Caring and comfortable!

Kelly was so relaxed and really made us feel comfortable. She met with us in her own home to discuss the different types of ceremonies she offered. I can’t wait for her to marry us!

From the moment we met Kelly she showed so much interest, not just in our relationship but our little family. She answered our questions and was always quick to reply to us when we had any questions. She made our ceremony so wonderful. The words, the readings she so politely asked to include....she was outstanding. I was more than happy with what she brought to our day.

Kelly worked incredibly hard to make our day special. Kelly helped us write an excellent ceremony that matched our personality. She provided us with a ceremony we will never forget. Our first draft was too short and she had the skills and knowledge that helped us make it into something much better. We also did a rehearsal the day before that was incredibly helpful.

We were very happy with the way Reverend Kelly Atkin conducted our wedding ceremony and also the rehearsal on the day before the wedding. The importance of the rehearsal cannot be minimized. If we had not done the rehearsal, the wedding party would not have known what to do during the wedding ceremony, and it could have been a disaster. As it turned out, our wedding was as perfect as it could have possibly been.

Kelly’s services are very reasonably priced and the sample wedding scripts she provides are a very valuable tool that the Bride and Groom can use to make their wedding ceremony perfectly tailored to their wishes. We met with her two times before our wedding and she helped us finalize our plans.

We could not have asked for a better minister for our wedding.

Kelly and Amor Ceremonies were fabulous. Kelly was very helpful and supportive during the whole process and met with us before to review vows that would work best for us. Kelly Atkin with Amor Ceremonies was so great!!! As we all know, planning a wedding is crazy and there are some things that we wish we could have done differently or done without. However, Hiring Kelly was one of the smoothest, best thing we did for our wedding. Mainly hiring her to do both Rehearsal and Ceremony. She knew exactly what to do, was open for suggestions and had a great sense of humor when doing all of everything else she helped with. We wish we could giver her more stars then we are allowed to give. She was very descriptive and informative if we ever had questions as well.

We found Kelly Atkin on google search when looking for a person to marry us on a Sunday. She was flexible and reliable when we needed her to wed us on short notice. Very short notice. Kelly was very helpful. After we decided what we wanted in our ceremony, which was a mix of some of her sample ceremonies, she had enough experience to know that it was only going to be about 15 minutes. She had many suggestions which gave us the ceremony that we really wanted. It was a great ceremony and I would recommend a experienced professional such as Kelly from Amor Ceremonies.

Definitely recommend! Kelly was unavailable on our wedding date (my fiance and I of course waited until the last minute!) but thank goodness her husband Roy was available. He was extremely easy going and a funny guy. He was very professional, showed up on time and spoke the vows that my fiance and I had chosen as our own. Roy and Kelly emailed us all of the vows that they had and told us we could pick and choose, mix and match, etc. to find what we were looking for. Great people for a great price!

Kelly is the absolute best choice in all of Albuquerque. She is top quality, professional, flexible, and quick in her responses. She has a ton of material to help guide your ceremony in any direction you desire, and was extremely helpful in designing ours. She was a major part of making our big day special! Kelly Atkin from Amor Ceremonies is a delightful person and a wonderful officiant. From the first communications she was great to work with - she was very responsive by phone and email, and accommodating throughout all the planning. Kelly offered lots of ideas and suggestions for us to be able to craft the perfect ceremony and vows. Her price was so reasonable and right in our budget. She was a calming presence before and during the ceremony, and expertly handled the less-than-ideal weather with the threatening storm, and the balloon fiesta traffic near the venue. I highly recommend Amor Ceremonies by Kelly Atkin as your wedding officiant!

Kelly with Amor Ceremonies is absolutely the best there is. She helped us create a ceremony that completely matched us as a couple and was a wonderful help by recommending other vendors that we needed. Kelly also worked really well with our last minute decision to have a interpreter translate the ceremony with her for our Spanish speaking guests. The night before our wedding my husband and his family suffered a tragic loss and we were forced to cancel at the last minute. Kelly worked with us and our Wedding Planner to reschedule on a later date and was very understanding and extended our contract out to the new date. She went above and beyond to help us. She is just simply amazing; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. Thank you Kelly!

We chose this officiant based off of a google search for the area. It was a great choice! The officiant was reasonably priced, and allowed us full control of how the ceremony played out. We are a very hands off couple, and we wanted someone who could be trusted to show up, perform a ceremony we chose in advance and help us with the details after the ceremony was completed. Roy Ricci was amazing for all of those things. The night before the wedding, somewhere after 8pm, I realized I hadn't touched bases with the officiant to confirm their presence the following afternoon. I shot them an email due to consideration for the time of day hoping to touch bases the following morning. I got a phone call less than 30 minutes later that put all my last minute fears to rest. I highly recommend this company for your wedding ceremony needs!

Being from out of town, finding an officiant for our wedding was kind of a scary ordeal. I wanted to make sure they understood us and what we wanted from our ceremony. After contacting Kelly, she took the time to send us multiple options for our ceremony and even helped us create one more to our liking. My spouse and I wanted as he had adopted children and we could not marry in our home state. My spouse contacted Kelly to set up everything over the phone as we would be coming to New Mexico. She and her husband (who expertly provided photography) and her mother who served as a witness were fantastic. She chose a beautiful place on the University of New Mexico campus. To say Kelly was amazing is an understatement! She was the first person I talked to when I first started planning my wedding. I had bits and pieces of ideas and she helped me connect the dots. Kelly was awesome. We had a unplanned small wedding at last second and she made you feel very comfortable. She gave us ideas of where to get married, and guided us through the process. Shes open to anything you want to do and doesn't force anything upon your hand. The price was reasonable too. And she was easy to book since I called her not even a week before our wedding!

The specials vows couldn't have meant more to us even if we would have written them ourselves. My wife and I could not have asked for a better officiant than Kelly! We live in Texas and came into town just a few days before the wedding. Kelly was able to meet with us on short notice, and gave us great advice on how to iron out the logistics of a same-sex ceremony. We just had a small ceremony with close family at my grandparents house, and I'm not kidding when I say things were crazy up until the minute we walked down the aisle. Kelly didn't seem phased by that at all, and reassured me that no matter what, everything would be beautiful, and it was! We chose one of her ceremonies, changed a few things here and there, and added our own vows. Even though we had no time to have a rehearsal, she did her best to ensure everything went smoothly. And even when they didn't, it just gave us some added laughs, which is never a bad thing.

All and all, Kelly was absolutely lovely and helped make what started out as a hectic, stressful morning into a beautiful afternoon that we'll always remember.

Kelly was absolutely amazing! Due to a scheduling error I was left with no one to perform our service. I called her 1 week before my service to see if she was available for my wedding and after our first conversation I was actually glad that the mistake happened! Finding Kelly was worth the scheduling headache and I only wish it had happened sooner so I could have called her sooner. Not only was she available she went above and beyond anything I could have imagined to make sure my partner and I had a special day. All the little extras she did without being asked were further proof that our service was in the hands of a professional who actually wanted to make sure our day was filled with as much love and happiness as it could be. Kelly was absolutely wonderful to work with! She is very professional. I appreciated how helpful she was in offering advice for our ceremony and helped us work create a ceremony special and unique to just my husband and I. It meant a lot to me to have an officiant that let us create our ceremony instead of be told what to do. I would highly recommend Kelly to anyone!

We were very pleased with Kelly's services. She had quite a number of options to choose from regarding the wording for the ceremony. Kelly was very professional and a delight to work with. We highly recommend her for your wedding ceremony!

Kelly suggested the UNM Duck Pond. It was perfect for us. Ours was a simple ceremony with a few witnesses. Yet, we had several strangers stop to celebrate with us. Thanks so much for helping to make our wedding day unique & special.

Kelly and Amor Ceremonies were very helpful and flexible. They provided witnesses and were very flexible when we asked to move up the ceremony time by an hour. Value for the money was excellent. We requested a very short ceremony since we are having a more elaborate one next year and Kelly was very accommodating.The paperwork was completed correctly and efficiently. They had some suggestions for venues which was also helpful coming from out of state. We highly recommend them. They certainly make it easier.

Kelly was absolutely fabulous. I was the busy bride and needed things to be non-complex and working with Kelly made things very easy. She also gave me suggestions for a Limo and Flowers which were helpful.

We contacted Kelly from Houston, Texas to make all the arrangements ahead of our arrival in Albuquerque. We only wanted to get legally married since Texas does not yet allow same-sex marriages. Kelly suggested a ceremony in the city park and it turned out great. Kelly put us at ease and performed a beautiful ceremony, she even provided the whitnesses, Both Ernie and I are grateful for having found Amor Ceremonies and meeting Kelly and her mother. Will be recommended other gay couples to contact Kelly should they want to get married.
It turned out to be a very memorable and special day for us and something we never thught we would get to do having been together for over 30 years.

Kelly was simply amazing. She provided the perfect place and setting for our most magical day. The ceremony was heartfelt and spiritual.

Thank you, Kelly, you are awesome!!! Kelly's ceremonies are so great, she let us pick from a list of different ceremony styles & let us tailor it to fit our situation. She also included my step sons and made it fun for all of us. I would not change a thing, the ceremony was so beautiful and made just for us. She's a great person & I would not have had anyone else be our officiant.

We could not have been happier to have Kelly preside over our wedding! We really appreciated the fact that she had many ceremonies that we could choose from but was open to the idea of mixing and matching until we had exactly what we wanted. We aren't a "write your own vows" type of couple but we wanted a ceremony that conveyed how we felt about each other and Kelly gave us just that. She was very professional and answered all of our questions promptly. Kelly is great and we are glad we had the opportunity to work with her!

Kelly was wonderful! I am so glad I found her online! She WANTED to do business with me and was flexible with all of my wedding arrangements. She volunteered to drive to our location, referred a beautiful setting to be married at, presented us with 2 witnesses (since we were from out of town) and composed our vows...all for an affordable and fair price. It was worth the trip from Kentucky to be able to be married LEGALLY by Kelly, who treated us with the utmost respect and shared in our joy from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend using Kelly if you want the perfect "Officiant" for your wedding! In fact, as we were getting our marriage license signed at the County Clerk's office, we passed out Kelly's business cards to other same-sex couples who were looking for someone to wed them.
