Joseph Flores was our officiant for our wedding ceremony. He is great! David and I did things a little more untraditionally that our family is used to. Joseph was great in helping us get what we wanted for the ceremony. He was very responsive when we tried to communicate with him via e-mail. He completely catered to what we wanted our ceremony to be like. He was also very organized and flexible with us. Our family and friends like to joke around a lot. He really handled everyone well at the rehearsal and still managed to conduct the rehearsal effectively. We felt like we had known him for years! He made the ceremony emotional, spiritual and fun all at the same time. We can't say enough about him. We highly recommend him.

Finding the right officiant was my hardest decision throughout the wedding planning process. I could not find exactly what I was looking for, and it turned into a stressful search. We wanted a ceremony that was somewhere between civil and religious, and the ability to write some of our vows/have general input on the ceremony. I was surprised by how hard it was to find all of that in one person. Somehow I was fortunate enough to stumble across Joseph. He was truly a blessing. He met with us ahead of time, really got to know us and wrote a beautiful, unique ceremony tailored to us. If I could give him more than five stars, I would!

From our first phone call, Joseph immediately put me at ease. He is organized and knowledgeable, but also very easygoing. At our first meeting, he demonstrated that he was prepared, excited and cares deeply about what he does. He has a huge heart, and genuinely cares about his clients. He was always prompt and prepared for emails, phone calls and meetings. As far as the ceremony goes, he can provide as much or little structure as you want, and will work with you until you have exactly what you want.

On our wedding day, Joseph performed a thoughtful, warm and unique ceremony using our own words, stories and thoughts. He has a great presence and very professional appearance. Our friends and family thought we had known him for years! He went above and beyond for us, and we will never be able to thank him enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect! I highly, highly, highly recommend Joseph. Call him and end your frustrating officiant search. He is the one!

We are deeply appreciative to Joseph Flores for the wedding ceremony that he custom crafted for us. From the first moment we contacted Joseph, he has demonstrated generosity and an uncommonly enormous heart. In fact, this is what made him stand out among the other officiants that we interviewed. However, we hired him based on his love for what he does, commitment to us, and the trust he inspired in us. These qualities were evident by the time he took to get to know us, answer questions, read my blog, go out of his way to get a diagram of the venue, visit the venue and take pictures, lead our families through a great rehearsal ceremony, and support us as we decided how to handle our vows. Throughout all of our dealings Joseph was always on time, always returned phone calls, and I could always tell that he had prepared in advance.

For someone so organized, I was surprised that Joseph is also relaxed, open, and flexible. As a result, we felt at ease, which meant a great deal to us since we planned our wedding from Washington DC.

An obvious strength is Joseph’s ability to write a beautiful ceremony. This is where his big heart and generosity come into play because I’m convinced that these qualities show in his prose. The ceremony was a beautiful mixture of laughter and sentiment that connected us to each other and to all of our guests. Joseph also helped us find meaningful ways to recognize those who couldn’t be there and connect us with our guests. He mentioned by name the people that introduced us, wove in details of our engagement, made jokes about our quirks, and gave a heartfelt welcome to all. Two months after the wedding guests still comment what a special ceremony it was and how much they enjoyed it.

The only thing I regret is not hiring Joseph for more. We hired him to organize the rehearsal (a must), and conduct the ceremony (a must). Based on how helpful he was for the ceremony, I know now that hiring for other services would have been great especially the day of. In fact, the hotel that hosted our wedding had a coordinator (included in the package), but if I had it to do over again, I would gladly pay for more of Joesph's time.

Pastor Joseph was really great. He asked us personal questions and created a personal ceremony. I had my wedding in Boerne, so he did charge an extra fee for that, but it was well worth it. Value for cost - we paid for the all about me package, but upon finding out that we had a day of coordinator we only needed the bridal deluxe package, but we had already signed a contract. I never discussed this with Mr. Flores, so it was my fault for overlooking it. Our ceremony was personal. He made not only us laugh and cry, but all of our family and friends as well. He was available to speak with me before the wedding during difficult times - which didn't involve the wedding at all. We wrote our own vows, but still incorporated a traditional I do within the ceremony. We also had a sand ceremony which he performed and read meaning to our guests while my husband and I poured the sand. He was excellent and we can call him not only the man that married us, but also a friend. :)
