Hair & MakeUp Review

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Aleksandra Ambrozy. I had 13 women getting ready on our morning and the team of 5 hair and make up artists were on time, professional, listened to what everyone wanted and delivered stunning results. As the bride, I specifically had Ali for make up and Kristina for hair and boy could I cry thinking about how gorgeous I looked! It was exactly what we did at trial, I looked like myself, I was confident and my fiance cried when he saw me. Kristina even went above and beyond and came back to do a second look for me after my reception. I knew I wanted AA makeup and hair after her team did my looks for two other weddings I had been in. They truly never miss. You should absolutely book them for your big day - you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic!

I personally used Jaclyn for hair and Ali for makeup, both were amazing! They provided everything I asked for and readily made tweaks from my trial I requested. Both hair and makeup lasted all day/night and I truly felt so beautiful. They brought Brenna (hair) and Danielle (makeup) with them and both were amazing as well! Everyone was super personable and joked around with us as we got ready all morning. My mom had never had her hair or makeup done before and was nervous but everyone was so patient with her and made sure she felt great.

I also appreciated that Ali and Jaclyn let me do my trial on a Sunday morning so that I could be dolled up for my bridal shower.

You should absolutely book Aleksandra Ambrozy!

I got married on 5/31/24 after only 2.5 months of planning. I was so impressed by Aleksandra Ambrozy for hair and makeup. In such a short period of lead time, they were able to accommodate my every need. I had Angela for hair and Alina for makeup. Every single person who had their hair and makeup done by them was beaming from ear to ear and all stated that it's the best they've ever looked. I picked this team because they have a more natural approach to beauty than other companies I looked at although they'll do anything you want. I cannot recommend them enough - if you want to look timeless AND not have to worry about the quality, timeliness, or professionalism of the company at all, book Aleksandra Ambrozy!

the best hair and makeup team I could've asked for!

The Aleksandra Ambrozy team is exceptional, through and through. I am a "minimal" hair and makeup gal and go pretty natural, so it was important ot me to find a team that was going to make me feel like me day-of. This team is amazing at meeting you where you are and matching (and exceeding!) your vision. Aleksandra was so patient and kind, particularly in answering my range of questions leading up to the trial and wedding day. She matched me with Ali and Jackie, and Bre joined the team for the bridal party hair and makeup day-of. Thoughtful, fun, kind, attentive and professional - this team made us all feel so at ease, joyous and relaxed on the wedding day. My mom was very skeptical of hair and makeup, and she LOVED her experience and even wants to do a makeup tutorial with Ali! I can't recommend this team enough.

Loved my makeup!

I hired Ali from Aleksandra Ambrozy to do my and family members makeup for my wedding and she did an amazing job for all of us! She had a great creative vision in figuring out which colors worked best on our skin tones and we all looked fabulous. She had a friendly and non-judgemental energy that made everyone feel super comfortable, since a few of my relatives NEVER wear any makeup and aren't normally comfortable being glammed up. Our makeup looks held up all night, too! Highly recommend!

10/10 experience!

AMAZING experience with Aleksandra's team. I personally worked with Angela (for hair) and Ali (for makeup) on my wedding day. Both were simply perfect, I couldn't stop smiling and they made my vision completely come true.

I also had a total of 17 people getting hair and makeup done on my wedding day (I know - 17!!) and I contracted 3 makeup artists and 3 hair artists. EVERY person was happy with their hair and makeup AND we were perfectly on time, a bit ahead of schedule actually! That is really saying something about the quality of service the team provides. They were truly amazing and I would highly recommend them.

Jaclyn & Ali are the best!

I used Aleksandra Ambrozy's amazing team for my wedding make up for myself, my bridesmaids and my mom. I loved how the artists listened to me and my vision. I own a bridal business and have the worst schedule, but they worked with me for my hair trial and were flexible with me. I've been in more weddings than I can count and I had Aleksandra Ambrozy's team do my hair and makeup for my SIL's wedding and loved them, so the decision to partner with them was easy. They listened to me and my vision and fully nailed it. One thing is I cry at weddings and I knew I would at mine, plus it was July and hot as ever outside, but every part of my look stayed in tact the whole day through dancing, drinking, crying and rain. I have so much love for Jaclyn and Ali who did my hair and makeup. They were professional, funny and so talented. They also helped my mom too and she's not the easiest because she's not used to hair and makeup, and her one request is that she not look natural and too "mother of the bride" and I think they made her look so good! We also had Brenna and Ashley join on the day to do my hair and makeup. I had nine bridesmaids and every single person looked genuinely gorgeous and their hair and makeup held up beautifully. Thank you so much for everything to the Aleksandra Ambrozy team. I'm so grateful for all your hard work!

Delivered exactly what I was looking for!

I worked with Ali for makeup on my wedding day, she did an incredible job and, as a bonus, was super calm, easygoing and fun to chat with! Aleksandra was also fantastic to coordinate with, we had a few people that needed to be added on last minute and she was super pleasant about it and accommodated the change. We really appreciated it. Beyond happy with my wedding hair!!

I cannot recommend Jaclyn enough to anyone wanting the BEST hairstyle on their wedding day. From the moment I met Jaclyn during my trial it was obvious that she loves what she does and truly listens to her brides. Jaclyn was extremely patient, answered all of my questions and stayed in touch with me to make sure the morning of my wedding ran smooth. All of my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law absolutely LOVED their hair and had nothing but wonderful things to say about Jaclyn and Brenna.

Just amazing!

This team was amazing from start to finish - Aleksandra was so responsive and helpful throughout the process (I had a lot of questions!) and there aren’t enough words to describe how great Angela was - from both trials (yup, two!) to the day of she was so much fun to get to know and work with and created the bridal bun of my dreams that I was sad to take out the next day. Naturally Flawless!

I booked with Aleksandra’s team for my wedding day on 10/15/22. I had Emily doing my hair and Brenna doing my makeup. Whenever I had my hair and makeup trial I brought along one of my bridesmaids and the four of us chatted and joked the whole time and it was so easy going and comfortable I just knew that day of they would fit in great with my girls. My trial was amazing (we didn’t change anything aside from a few bobby pin placements since my veil comb was pretty intense). Day of we had Brenna for hair and makeup (and Bridal Makeup) Emily for hair (and Bridal Hair) and Alina for makeup for 9 of us and a flower girl. Everything went so smoothly and every girl looked amazing. One of the things that was very important to me was having a natural look where I felt that I looked like myself in photos, but was still elevated and “glammed up” enough that it showed that it was a special occasion and not just a night out to dinner. The team was absolutely amazing and I received so many compliments on hair and makeup! 10/10 recommend this team they know exactly what they are doing and will make you feel your best!

If you want to feel expensive

I am so happy I decided to go with this company for our wedding.

We had Jacki and Ali for our wedding day and they were incredible. I wasn't able to have a hair consult before the wedding because we live out of the city and I was a bit nervous about that. But the morning of our wedding omg they knocked it put of the park. I don’t normally wear make up or do my hair… I’m usually covered in flour and have my hair in a bun. We came up with a very natural look for me which I absolutely loved!

I felt like a freaking goddess, and the best part was my husband could not stop saying how incredible I looked which made me feel so good about my choices.

The two ladies were great with my family and were very easy to talk to.

100 stars for the team at Aleksandra Ambrozy!

I would highly recommend Aleksandra Ambrozy Makeup and Hair. Ali did my makeup, and Angela did my hair for my wedding. I have never looked better!

I don't wear a lot of makeup or spend a lot of time styling my hair normally, and so I was a little worried about not recognizing myself in the mirror when it was done. But Ali and Angela listened to my concerns and understood what I was trying to say even when I didn't know how to say it.

They did the same with my mom, who has very stubborn hair and was very nervous. But she was so happy with the result as well! And on the day of when we changed things we did from the trial, they were so flexible. For the others in my bridal party, Brittany helped with hair and Emily with makeup, and everyone looked truly perfect.

Also, I have to shout out Angela for staying a few minutes later than necessary so that she could help style my veil and help me pose for some extra photos in my dress before we left the hotel room. She really went above and beyond!

Finally, Aleks was so responsive and a pleasure to work with. At one point, there was a miscommunication as to which stylist was available but everything was resolved quickly and smoothly.

If you're looking for natural glam, brides, look no further!

I knew I wanted two things for hair and makeup: someone who knows the bridal industry and is supportive of a “natural” glam look. I had no doubt Aleksandra Ambrozy and team could deliver that for my wedding day! Avery (hair) and Ashley (makeup) were a treat to spend time with. They felt like part of the crew on my wedding day. Both ladies were so receptive to feedback after my trial, and I felt very confident I would love the final look. I also appreciated how both my mom and MIL, who are not big makeup ladies, felt like more elevated versions of their natural selves after Ashley’s fantastic work. My hair and makeup lasted all night long, I can’t thank both Avery and Ashley for being a part of my big day! Last but not least, Aleksandra was always quick to respond and make the planning process seamless down to mocking up a timeline template for me.

Outstanding!

2020 has been a really tough year. Easily the biggest highlight for me was my wedding which just preceded the onset of the COVID pandemic. And I will be eternally thankful to Aleks for the huge role she played in making my day so special. Aleks is just so easy and fun to work with, and she did an excellent job with my makeup. In fact, Aleks did makeup for my entire bridal party, and everyone loved their flawless looks! My makeup lasted all day and looked extremely fresh through our first look photos, afternoon ceremony, and post ceremony photos. Aleks even came back in the evening to create a second look for my reception. When I initially met Aleks it was obvious that she was both a true professional and an artist. She was able to translate my makeup vision into exactly what I was looking for! It was an immense relief to know that I was in such good hands and didn’t need to worry about anything at all. Wedding Makeup

Aleks did the makeup for my wedding for me and three other people. She did an absolutely fantastic job! I do not regularly wear makeup and have always been worried when I get makeup professionally done because it can be way too heavily applied. Amazing wedding makeup!

Aleks just did my wedding makeup this past Saturday in Philly. She was unbelievable. From the second I walked into her studio for my trial, she made me feel at ease. I'm not overly amazing at makeup and knowing what I want, so I let her kind of just decide. She did an exceptional job. Up until wedding day, she responded to all of my emails in under 24 hours, she was consultative and just super professional. On the wedding morning, she made me feel really calm and made sure to check in with me and see if I liked what she was doing. My mom, grandmom and sister were also beyond impressed by her. She made us all look stunning. The compliments have been pouring in. I'd highly recommend Aleks for your wedding needs! Professional and a true artist.

Gorgeously Natural Style

I was excited to work with Aleksandra Ambrozy after seeing her gorgeously natural style and her team absolutely delivered. I worked with Staci and Marissa for our Indian fusion wedding and they were amazing from start to finish. Aside from being so incredibly nice (and fast!), they worked closely with my bridal party and I to make sure every detail was perfect. They were able to flawlessly incorporate Indian jewelry into my hair and create a fairytale look that was beyond what I could have even imagined. On the day of the wedding, they did make up and hair for my two bridesmaids as well as my mother and my now mother in-law and everyone absolutely loved it. They worked so quickly while closely listening to what everyone wanted and then took everyone’s vision up a notch to create a perfectly customized look. Everyone’s makeup and hair lasted all day, even through an extremely windy photoshoot, ceremony, and a ton of dancing, and we could not be happier. We have already recommended Aleksandra and her team to our friends and family with upcoming weddings and would highly recommend them to anyone.

The most amazing and professional makeup and hair artists

Aleks and Jackie are highly skillful, talented, professional makeup and hair stylists with very kind heart. There are so many things I love about them: very efficient working system, professionalism, skill sets, a wide variety of beauty products, techniques, and so much more.

But, the most unique feature that I want to highlight is how much they can enhance your natural beauty and yet possess very natural look of your own that will surprisingly look good on the camera. They know what is the best look, color shade, and style you should do for your wedding day.

When I first walked in their studio for consultation, my first impression was very organized, clean, and highly professional working environment that they have. I showed them couple photos I had in my mind, and on our wedding day, they created even better look that uniquely worked the best on me. I didn't do the trial, but I was over 100% satisfied with my look so did all the members of our bridal party.

Because the makeup and hair session is usually the start of your wedding day, having highly specialized, professional artists from each side of makeup and hair and fully trust them to complete your look will make your wedding so much easier to begin with. For that reason, I highly recommend Aleks and jackie for bridal makeup and hair stylists.

Amazing work!

I hired Aleks and Jackie for hair and makeup onsite for my wedding day, and I am so happy that I did! I had first met Jackie and Aleks at my sister's wedding (she hired them for hair and makeup as well), and I knew I wanted to work with them again! I have used them in Philly for hair and makeup for friends' weddings and my engagement pictures, and they always listen to whatever I want and execute it flawlessly! After forgetting to schedule my hair and makeup trial for my wedding (whoopsies!), they were able to add me into their schedule last minute and were very understanding of how crazy everything gets right before the wedding! On the day of, they had 2 girls come to assist, and they were able to do my entire bridal party's hair and makeup in record time! (8 + me!). They listened to what everyone wanted and always had great recommendations for anyone who wasn't sure. Even after I had a few changes from my trial, both Aleks and Jackie were able to do a phenomenal job and my hair and makeup lasted the entire day and night! Aleksandra was amazing – attentive, kind, personable, and more. My bridal party, mother, mother-in-law, and I all felt we looked our best on my wedding day and Aleksandra was such a huge part of why that was the case. I can't say enough good things about Alek and her team. Professional, friendly and so very talented. I have never felt prettier which is the way you should feel on your wedding day! She can do a range of makeup looks, I used her services for my engagement shoot, bridal shower and wedding day. She did a very natural and soft look for my wedding and I couldn't of been happier. I couldn't recommend Aleks more! I was SO happy with my make-up and my hair (Staci) on my wedding day. My make-up was exactly how I pictured it and held-up so well. I felt so beautiful. And they were so fun to hang out with as we were getting ready. I was committed to wearing my hair down (despite the long day and the beach/wind) and Staci did a wonderful job.

I also went to mention one of the other make-up artists, Danielle. My mother-in-law fell the night before and got a severe black eye (the bruising even extended down to her cheek). She wasn't originally scheduled to have her make-up done, but Danielle fit her in and did an AMAZING job covering it up. I wish I had a before and after photo. She saved the day.

Aleksandra and Jaclyn are beyond amazing! I was so worried about my hair and makeup for the day (I was scared about that that caked-on wedding look) but they're both true talents and have such a great eye for how to make a bride look special but also natural. I didn't even feel like I was wearing makeup, and my (usually difficult) hair stayed put all night! I truly believe they're the best makeup and hair team in Philly, and I'm already brainstorming other excuses to hire them again. On top of that they're just lovely people to be around, and were so much fun to have around while we were getting ready! And they went above and beyond — when I realized the satin straps on my shoes were too slippery to serve their purpose (near disaster as that made them unwearable) Jaclyn came swooping in with some hairbands and literally elasticed me into them. Don't know what we would have done without them both! Hire them!!

I highly recommend Aleksandra Ambrozy company for hair and makeup. Aleks (for makeup) and Jackie (for hair) did an INCREDIBLE job at my wedding . Everyone's hair and makeup in my bridal party looked FLAWLESS and they both worked so hard to make sure that my vision came true. I wanted the makeup to be natural looking for my outdoor wedding in a garden lake side setting and Aleks was able to accomplish this while making the whole bridal party look absolutely beautiful. Jackie can work magic with hair and she was very patient with me at my trial as I tried to figure out how I wanted to wear my hair. She is very knowledgeable and so helpful. She was able to create the soft waves/curls on the brides maids and everyone looked absolutely lovely. The pictures are incredible to boot. My sister can't wait to hire them for her own wedding!!

Aleksandra did my makeup for my sister's wedding in 2015. Booking her for my own wedding in 2017 was an easy decision. Her services are expensive, but the quality of her work cannot be matched. I could relax and trust that my makeup would be perfect on my wedding day. Most local makeup artists cannot master a smokey eye on an Asian face, but Aleksandra's work is flawless. Her airbrush foundation was lightweight. Her eyelashes were high quality and comfortable. My makeup lasted from 11am until the evening.

Alek's partner Jaclyn did my hair, which I wore in simple curls with a hairpiece. That hairpiece did not budge throughout the night. My hair wasn't stiff from overuse of products. She also did a fantastic job with the updo's of many of my bridal party members.

Overall: highly recommend. You can trust that you will be well taken care of by Aleks and Jackie.

Aleksandra and Jaclyn were amazing. I was nervous about getting make-up because I don't usually wear much, but Aleksandra did such a great job, I felt so beautiful. As soon as I had my trial all my anxiety evaporated. Jaclyn did such a great job with my hair as well. All my bridesmaid and our moms looked phenomenal too. I was so impressed.

Booking Aleksandra and her team for my wedding was hands down one of the best decisions I made that day! When my wedding planner presented me with a few options for hair and makeup, I knew that I had to work with her just from the images on the website and Instagram alone. Both Aleksandra and Jackie were nothing short of amazing. They were super patient and listened carefully to everything that I thought i wanted. After my first trial I raelly wasn't sure if I liked the the hairstyles that we tried and Jackie was very flexible in scheduling another hair trial and was extremely helpful in helping me find the perfect look for my day! The day of my wedding, Aleksandra and Jackie helped calm my nerves and made me laugh! My makeup looked natural and flawless, and all of my bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law all looked beautiful! Aleksandra and her team are hands down the best hair and makeup in Philadelphia and if you don't book them you are truly missing out!! I wish they could make me look and feel that beautiful everyday! :)

I could not be happier with the services provided by AA Makeup & Hair for my wedding. I also used them for my engagement shoot. Truly, I never felt more beautiful. On my wedding day, Marissa did my hair and makeup (she was the only one available on the day I could do my bridal hair and makeup trial) as well as my bridesmaids hair and Zoe did make up for the wedding party (mother, flower girls, etc.). They were on time to the hotel, soooo nice, and really took direction very well. Everyone looked beautiful but still natural - the best version of themselves. Marissa also came back for a touch up and made me look good as new as I was in drizzling rain for my wedding photos. I also used Aleksandra for advice on a colorist prior to my wedding - turned out amazing! Jackie (master hair stylist) did my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot which was equally as stunning. Highly recommend this group of talented artists!

These girls are amazing. My hair was done by Marissa and my makeup done by Melissa. Not only were they such a pleasure to work with, they made me feel so confident and relaxed during the entire process on wedding day. They knew what I wanted, they executed it with perfection, and they took away any stress throughout the day. They did such a good job I would recommend them both to anyone and everyone!!!

Aleksandra and her team are wonderful and did an incredible job with makeup for my wedding day for myself, my mother, and my bridal party. Aleksandra has a wonderful attention to detail and she truly takes the time to perfect the look so that it's exactly how you want to look on your wedding day. She doesn't rush you and gives the bride her full attention and makes sure that not only is the end result flawless, picture ready, cry/weather proof makeup but also that it fits your vision of how you want to look as a bride. My makeup truly did endure an entire day of happy tears, outside photos in July and lots of dancing. Her team did an equally awesome job with my bridesmaids and were so friendly in the process. I highly recommend.

Aleks is absolutely incredible!! She has done my makeup for special occasions and my wedding day. She makes your skin look flawless and feel your best. She is a true talent and I was very lucky to have her on my wedding day! Not only is her work excellent, but she couldn't be sweeter, and is very quick in replying to emails. Aleksandra and Jacyln were such an incredible team. They took a lot of time at my trial to understand what kind of hair and make up I had in mind for my wedding on 1/2/16. On the day of the wedding, they arrived in site early and were so friendly. They brought an additional person (Marisa) to help with hair and make up for a few of my bridesmaids, who was also very good. I could not have imagined my hair and makeup being any more incredible. Jaclyn did my hair so it looked amazing and stayed all night! Aleksandra made my make up look so beautiful and natural. I am so thrilled with the pictures. Additionally, my 4 bridesmaids, MOB and MOG got hair and make up done too and all were so happy with their hair and make up. Choosing Aleksandra Hair and Makeup was an excellent choice. They are so talented and are so stress free. I highly recommend to all brides and wedding parties.

I can't say enough good things about Aleksandra. I had Aleks do my makeup trial for my engagement pictures and couldn't have been happier with my makeup for both my engagement shoot and my wedding day. The makeup felt bold but natural. She is incredibly talented at achieving a striking yet natural look! I wanted to look myself on my wedding day - to have my makeup bold enough to be seen from afar and in photos, without being dark and heavy. She was spot on with the look I was going for! To top off her amazing talent, she is easygoing and generally just very pleasant to be around! The morning of my wedding was so calm and enjoyable (even with 9 bridesmaids it never seemed rushed!). Thank you Aleks and team for helping me and my entire bridal party look and feel beautiful! I am so lucky that Aleksandra was available for my wedding day, she is amazing! I felt so comfortable during the trial, and I loved my make-up! I was a little concerned about how it would hold up on my wedding day because our photos & ceremony were outside on an August afternoon, and WOW! I got so many compliments:) I had zero shine, and everyone couldn't believe that I didn't have a bead of sweat on my face! I also received many compliments on how beautiful my eyes looked (even after my happy tears)...and my makeup lasted all night! And my groom loved how natural I looked and that I still looked like myself:)

Our hair styling was done by Kim, and she did a phenomenal job! My curls lasted into the next day, and my bridesmaids look absolutely gorgeous in our photos! Also, our photographer was very impressed that we were ready early!

The girls on Aleksandra's team did a perfect job! Every one of my girls loved their hair and make up. The team showed up to our hotel where we got ready early and were ready to start. All 8 of my girls were done in time to get back to my house for pictures and every single girl looked as beautiful as can be! I felt like the most gorgeous bride in the world! Kim styled my hair perfectly, exactly how i envisioned it to look. My hair was so pretty, bouncy and flowy. Marissa did my make-up even better than I imagined! I told her what colors I thought looked nice, and what vibe i was going for, and she was able to create the perfect bride look. I felt so pretty the entire day, and my makeup and hair lasted throughout the 18+ hour day. My husband could not stop telling me how beautiful I looked! I found this vendor through Wedding Wire, and went off of these reviews to book this team, so if you are looking for someone who will do natural but gorgeous, perfect work, i would 200% recommend you book with Aleks and her team.

Aleksandra and Jaclyn are truly talented makeup and hair artists! I feel so fortunate to have been able to hire them for my wedding and believe that I could not have chosen a better team. They are worth every penny!! Both Aleksandra were able to creatively integrate everything that I had wanted and used their artistic judgment brilliant. On top of it all, they were sweet and wonderful people to be around who seemed truly passionate about the work they do. I would recommend them to any bride in a heartbeat!

I don't even know where to begin! As with most brides, I was stressed out the week before the wedding and was on the tail ends of a heat rash on my face. So to say the least, I was a tad nervous how I would look on my wedding day. Aleksandra really saved the day! She took such good care of me and helped rehydrate my skin before applying makeup and it was FLAWLESS. I have never felt so beautiful than on my wedding day. I received so many compliments on my makeup and all of my bridesmaids (and mom) absolutely loved Aleksandra and her work. Aleksandra is an artist and is amazing at what she does! That is no question about it. She is the most down to earth and fun person to be around, we were all a tad sad when we were done getting ready because we couldn't hang out with Aleksandra and Jaclyn any longer. It was such a pleasure and any future brides out there, Aleksandra is the best!!

Excellente service! If you are looking for an elegant, sophisticated and unique make up look, Aleksandra & her team are the right one!

Her team helped us to extend and light up our different personalities and our beauty, in a special way that nobody of us had experienced so far!
Even the most critical girls of my wedding party were amazed by the professional make up skills.
The patience and flexibility of her team was incredible! The team continued until every girl was 100% satisfied. That was impressive!

Since every girl had a different personality and look (different skin tone, hair etc.) each of us was having a individual, "customized" make up style. However, her team was still able to create a style, that harmonized with all girls, and it also reflected the elegant, unique character & theme of my entire wedding.

The entire day, we were looking at each others faces and we were complimenting each others maybe 10 times with "OH my goodness, you are sooooooooooo beautiful!"

Aleks & her team made a significant contribution to capture my special moment in life in a unique way.

All of my girls were smiling all day long, since we all felt beautiful, unique & confident - without losing our own personality!

I would and WILL book her again (for the next event :-)) !

I highly recommend Aleksandra Ambrozy Makeup & Hair for makeup and hair.
Alek and Meghan did an amazing job on me, my mother, and 2 of my bridesmaids. When I started looking for makeup artists, I wanted to someone who understood how to do Asian eyes and Aleksandra came highly recommended. I originally signed on for makeup only, but after a lackluster hair trial in the suburbs, I turned to Alek who matched me up with Meghan for hair. I went in for a hair and makeup trial in Philly a couple weeks before the day armed with a Pinterest account of ideas. Alek and Meghan were both super sweet and worked with me to get the look I wanted. The day of, they showed up promptly and worked on the wedding party. Meghan did my hair and after seeing I wasn’t entirely happy, she quickly tweaked it so that it was more of what I wanted which I am so grateful for. My mom and bridesmaids all loved their hair and makeup and yes, with the exception of lipstick (which requires reapplying) all the makeup kept for 10+ hours. And my eyes look amazing false lashes and all!

Aleks (makeup) and Jacklyn (hair) were INCREDIBLE. Consummate professionals who made me and my maids look unbelievably beautiful on my wedding day. They arrived early, paid close attention to every detail and worked efficiently in the time frame given to them. I am writing this review about Zoe, one of Aleksandra's associate make-up artists. On the day of our wedding, Zoe was on-time and remained sweet all day. She was so relaxed, chatted with everyone in my family, and her work was fantastic! EVERYONE looked magazine-esque and the make-up she applied to me lasted all day through lots and lots of dancing and happy tears. My party got compliments throughout the day and night. I am so glad we were able to have her. Thank you, Zoe!

I hired Aleks for make-up for myself and my bridesmaids for my wedding! She was outstanding. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure my make-up and that of my bridal party was flawless. I was very particular as I tend not to wear much make-up, and she made sure that I still looked like myself, just a bit refined :) Aleks is super professional, responsive, and worth every penny.

Kim Harrelson, one of her team members, did all of our hair (9 total) and was amazing! She executed every girls up do flawlessly with plenty of time to spare. I cannot recommend her enough.

I booked Aleksandra and Jackie about 9 months before our wedding date. I still remember how excited I was when she responded that they were both still available. Aleksandra and Jackie’s portfolios were flawless- it seemed to me that they mastered the natural look to a T. I had asked Aleks to do my makeup for my engagement shoot and was very impressed. She was sweet and took her time listening to me as I showed inspiration photos and explained the look I wanted. She encouraged me to be honest and checked in with me often to make sure we shared the same vision. During my trial, I completely understood how she and Jackie worked so well together. They were so much fun to be around! They took photos of my hair and make-up from various angles, offered suggestions, and welcomed my requests when I wanted to see how a few changes would affect the overall look. On my wedding day, every one of the 9 ladies raved about their hair and makeup, and loved how Aleks and Jackie fit in seamlessly with the group. My makeup and hair looked good from 1PM through 1:30AM and I have photos to prove it! These two are incredibly talented, reliable, and have fun and relaxed personalities. Thanks so much for making all of us look and feel good on my wedding day, Aleks and Jackie!

We worked with Zoe for the big day and she was truly terrific. Everyone she did makeup for (bride, bridesmaids, MOB, MOG) looked amazing. Everyone in the group sticks to a more natural look and Zoe did just what we wanted, an enhanced natural look. Would love to use her again.

Aleksandra did an absolutely outstanding job along with her stylist Jackie for my daughter, the bride, her seven bridesmaids and for myself, the mother of the bride. Aleksandra and her team came to our hotel and managed create a completely individual look for all nine of us. Quite a feat.
Makeup and hair came out looking elegant and never over the top. Would highly recommend her and her team.

I am Chinese with epicanthic fold eyes. This means that I don't have that crease most Westerners have, it also means my eyes are more out of my ocular lobes. This makes makeup more difficult.

I've had difficulties with makeup people in the past. LOTS of difficulties. I've had to refuse to pay for services previously.

Aleksandra is fantastic. She listened to my theme, my style and found the perfect look for me. I also had a MASSIVE zit between my eyebrows for my wedding, and she did a magician's trick and hid it completely. She uses airbrushing, which I had never tried before. I felt like a princess when I was done.

Aleksandra also recommended a hair person she works with. My hair style was perfect the first try and held through many rounds of Jumping, Dancing, Jostling, and more jumping!

The trial went great and our wedding day was even better!
Aleksandra answered all my questions via email (worked best for me !) and made sure we were all ready on time. With a large party of 9, she and Jackie the hair stylist made it look like a breeze!
My bridesmaids and moms LOVED their makeup, and with Jackie doing our hair too we looked Fabulous! Makeup lasted all day and all our hairstyles held up great (I danced the night away!) ,and in fact, it rained throughout our outside picture sessions and I didn't have to touch up anything but lipstick!

I loved, loved, working with Aleksandra for my makeup trial and big day! She is amazing at what she does and I'm so glad that I booked her well in advance. She is very responsive via email and answered all my questions in a timely manner. On the big day, Aleksandra and her co-stylist, Zoey, arrived promptly at the hotel, which was much appreciated. My bridesmaids and moms were thrilled with the looks, and Aleksandra was more than open to using my mom's personal makeup on her, since she tends to break out easily with many products.

My makeup lasted the whole day and looked great in pictures until the very end! Also, wanted to mention that I'm Asian, so I'm usually concerned about makeup, since eyes are a lot harder to do on us :) She is definitely experienced in this area and I - along with my mom and sister - were all very happy.

Amazing! Honestly, Aleksandra was wonderful.

I searched lots of reviews and websites and got lots of quotes for make-up services. What drew me towards Aleksandra as a vendor was both her reviews, and the photos on her site. She had women of many ethnicities and complexions, and all looked naturally beautiful. I'm a little neurotic when it comes to symmetry and perfect lines, and I noticed that each person's eyeliner was perfectly straight and not smudgy (look close at other sites, you'd be surprised how rare that is). To me that showed this artist had the same attention to detail and perfection that I do and it moved her to the top of my list. I was not wrong in my assumptions.

We did make up for my 2 sisters (bms), both moms, his sister, and myself. Everyone raved about how wonderful the make-up looked and how well it stayed all day (seriously, till the next morning lol). Each of the women in my group have their own style and Aleks picked up on that. We all looked like a more beautiful version of ourselves, in our own way. We also all cried several times and had no running marks or make-up snafus.

Aleks helped me figure out a timeline for the morning of and helped us stick to it (very important, you'll see when your day comes). She was also funny and sweet, and fit right in like a part of the girls that morning. I also had a friend with us who was doing her own makeup but brought the wrong color. Aleks kindly showed her what needed to be fixed and helped her with her makeup during some short downtime.

During my trial I was bloated, forgot to get my eyebrows done, and had just gotten my hair dyed the wrong color. This threw off everything and made it so hard for me to figure out what to do or see anything I liked. Aleks quickly figured out the problem. Did extra contouring on my face to fix the puffy-ness, put thicker coverup on my brows to make them look like a normal shape and clipped my hair back so the color wouldn't interfere. She has a wonderful eye!!

Out of this world glam fairy at work! My bridesmaids and I were FLOORED by the hair and make up. She made my mother look and feel great. Her work is natural but so enhancing. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.

We had Kim as our hair stylist for our wedding. She did an oustanding job on all of us -- me, my mom, my sister and my mother in law. She did an updo for me, half up/half down for my sister and nice blowouts for the mothers. We all got compliments on the hairdo. I would highly recommend Kim to anyone, hope that I have another occasion to work with her, and was so happy to know that we were in such good hands.

I had Zoey and Meghan for my wedding and they were wonderful!! They did my hair and makeup, my bridesmaids, and the moms. They were so easy to work with and all of us loved our hair and makeup. Most of us never had our makeup professionally done and Zoey did an excellent job of blending natural with accentuating certain features. It was so wonderful working with Aleksandra and Jackie. I had my trial in July at the studio and was immediately impressed -- they were both so friendly and warm, and made my mother and I both feel very comfortable. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, and they executed it perfectly, explaining their techniques along the way and had plenty of patience for all the questions that we had that day.

On my actual wedding day in August, I had a few minor last-minute changes to what I was hoping for -- it didn't phase them at all. Together they were able to perfectly achieve my dream bridal look, and did an amazing job on my bridesmaids and our mothers, too. The five of us cover a variety of skin types/tones and hair types/thicknesses, and in the end we all looked our best individually but also collectively.

I felt relaxed and pampered on the morning of my wedding, and I am so grateful to Aleks and Jackie for that. Their professionalism throughout the whole process made for a smooth and enjoyable experience overall. I would highly recommend their services to any bride (or anyone else with professional makeup needs), and look forward to finding an excuse to work with them again.

Aleks and Jenn were THE BEST to have on my wedding day! Aleks did makeup and Jenn did hair for myself (bride), 5 bridesmaids, 3 mothers, and my flower girl! They did the most amazing work - I have never felt more confident and beautiful (I STILL have people telling me how great the hair & makeup looked 4 months after the wedding)! They came to my hotel room, ran ahead of schedule, and everything really came out perfect. Aleksandra did my make-up and Jackie did my hair for my wedding and I don't have enough words to express what a terrific job they both did. Aleksandra is not only incredibly talented as a make-up artist, but is such a lovely person to work with. She really listens to you and works with you to achieve the perfect look for your wedding. During my trial, I showed Aleksandra a picture of a traditional south Indian bride and asked her to recreate a similar look and she did just that while tailoring the look to highlight my features.
On my wedding day, she achieved a look that mirrored perfection - it was flawless and stunningly gorgeous and stayed put perfectly for 5 hrs (my Hindu wedding ceremony lasted 5 hours and involved 2 outfit changes). I had my make-up done again for my reception and she did a fabulous job and gave me a very different look- this time less traditional and more Bollywood-inspired. Both looks she created were extraordinary and very much admired by everyone. Jackie did an equally amazing job and I only got my hair done once. I had a half up do for the ceremony and just let the curls down for the reception. Jackie and I spent about 3 hours going through various hairstyles during my trial. She really went out of her way to create the prefect hairstyle for me. I wanted a traditional south Indian hairstyle with jasmine flowers and she created a brilliant look that was both traditional and modern. The look Jackie created was gorgeous and traditional with a flair. I was very pleased with Aleksandra's and Jackie's work on my wedding day and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they were able to get me ready.
The level of effort and detail both Aleksandra and Jackie put into their work is highly commendable and much admired. I would definitely recommend them as they are both highly qualified, creative and lovely to work with.

Aleksandra does the best makeup! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and received so many compliments. She really paid attention to what I wanted for my look and always showed me through the application process how it was coming along! It was such a stress free experience on such a hectic day - Aleksandra has a calming and warm nature about her. She was very responsive through the whole process and helpful with creating a schedule for my 10 bridesmaids and additional family members on the big day. Nothing felt rushed and she did an INCREDIBLE job! Jackie did my hair and it was absolutely stunning. She is so warm and checks in with you as well throughout the design to make sure it is absolutely what you want! Kim also did some of my bridesmaids hair and they all turned out great. Aleksandra and Jackie did such a beautiful job on our hair and makeup for our wedding. I am from out of state so I did not have an opportunity to do a trial. I was beyond pleased with the results and they were able to work with my ideas on the day of the wedding and understand the look I was trying to achieve. All of the bridesmaids looked and felt beautiful and everyone loved the airbrush makeup. It looked very natural but also very glamorous.

I would highly recommend Aleksandra and Jackie for anyone who is looking to have their makeup done. It was also a major bonus that they were willing to travel to our location - no worrying about logistics of getting everyone to salons on the day of the wedding. They were also very efficient - 6 people for hair and makeup were done in about 2.5 hours which left us time to spare and we were able to relax and enjoy the day that much more.

I had the pleasure of working with Aleks for my October 5, 2013 wedding. She is absolutely amazing and such a talented individual. I had 6 bridesmaids, myself and my mom get the makeup done and everyone was speechless when they looked in the mirror. Everyone absolutely loved their makeup. It was natural yet perfect for a wedding and for photos. All of my guests told me it was the best I had ever looked yet I still looked myself. I am so happy with the way I look in all of the pictures. My sisters and mom typically don't wear makeup and they were so comfortable and confident walking down the aisle. Aleks takes the time to ask what you want and really make sure you feel beautiful. It was 85 degrees on my wedding and we did outside pictures before the wedding. You would have never known that I was outside in the sun prior to walking down the aisle. The makeup was perfect the whole night and required no touch ups. Aleks made my day so special and I would reccommend her to any bride!

I chose Aleksandra because she was the makeup artist in my sister-in-law's wedding as well as one of my bridesmaids. Having seen her work in the past, I knew that she would do a great job. Working with Aleksandra was relatively seamless because she is professional and her skill set is excellent. She understands her clients profile and listens and delivers in a way that is truly patient and caring. Planning an indian wedding can be highly stressful and having a vendor who is cool, calm and collect is of utmost importance. Aleksandra was the first person I saw the day of my wedding as I woke up extra early. I looked really tired. In a matter of minutes she worked her magic. Aleksandra was absolutely amazing from the moment I emailed her, with very short notice, to see if she would be available for my wedding I was planning in weeks. Not only was she extremely accomodating, professional, and responsive, but she is an incredible talent with her make-up skills. I come from a family of top cosmetologists, and since my whole family was going to be at my wedding and I did not want to ask them to work, I decided to hire someone. Aleksandra exceeded my expectations. When I met her for my trial, she looked at what I brought in photo's and worked with me to achieve exactly what I envisioned and then proceeded to replicate her amazing work on my wedding day. Aleksandra was amazing! I am not from the East coast so I thought finding a good make-up artist would be stressful but she was so great. She was very flexible with dates for my make-up trial as well as on the day of the wedding. She arrived early on the day of the wedding and was very patient with me even though I was running late. The make-up was very fresh and natural and it lasted the entire day (more than 12 hours) despite taking pictures outside in the sun for several hours. I know that finding a make-up artist can be very stressful but I would highly recommend Aleksandra!

I can't overemphasize how much confidence I have in Aleks. Aleks is the best makeup artist, period. I had several trials with other of Philly's "leading" makeup artists, and was so frustrated by the experiences, I thought I might just try to do my own wedding makeup. I don't wear much makeup daily; I was looking for a natural look - I wanted to look like myself on my wedding day, just enhanced. But as I found out during my other trials before Aleks (and having my makeup professionally done a dozen times in the past), that seems to be very difficult for people! Every other makeup artist gave me a mask of foundation and their standard template of makeup - read: covering up all your skin and re-adding to make it a face, and insisting that I needed a certain amount of eyeliner or fake lashes to "show up in pictures" or "last the day" or "you're just not used to seeing yourself with makeup," etc.

Aleks was the best, and the only one who was different. She was my third makeup trial attempt for my wedding. She really listened to what I wanted, and progressively added each make up element conservatively to see if I liked it before moving on. This was so key, because often you see the whole outcome at once at the end, or several parts at once, and it may be hard to zero in on what you don't like about/what's off. She knows when to use makeup, and most importantly when NOT to - based on an eye for what looks best to enhance each person.

For hair, Jackie did a great job turning my normal mane of long curls into modern, big soft curls down-'do. She was very patient and worked with me to achieve my vision, even when I was struggling with how to communicate it. She also did a great job on my mom's hair, which is short and thin, and she worries about it breaking. Jackie listened and respectfully maneuvered my mom's 'do, taking in to account her concerns about the fragility of her hair.

Aleksandra and her team are FANTASTIC!! Aleksandra was always responsive and available before the wedding. She emailed me back immediately when I had a question or concern, and sent two wonderful makeup artists to do my daughter's wedding makeup. Aleksandra and Jackie were totally awesome. When it comes to my bridal look, I am very picky. I did two makeup/hair trials with them before my wedding in April. And we tried many different looks so I can make a good decision on the style and details of the look. Aleksandra gave me very good suggestions on my look and makeup in general. Whatever makeup photo I show her, she understands right away and can replicate the look on my face. Working with her was very interactive, she will stop and ask my opinion many times to make sure that I get exactly what I want. Jackie always shows up with her complete set of tools (it's a lot) and she can make my hair whatever way I want them. She understands my concerns and address them very well.

I had an afternoon wedding so they had to arrive quite early at my hotel, and both of them showed up even earlier than I asked. They were great with my bridesmaids too. We all looked fresh and beautiful on the big day. On top of that, my makeup stayed on my face very well for the whole 6.5 hours, I didn't even need to retouch anything once, except for the lip. My hair was also holding up very well. As Jackie said: you can sleep in the updo and you will still have the updo tomorrow morning :)

And Aleksandra and Jackie are both so nice and fun to be around with!! I am so happy I chose them for my wedding day.

Aleksandra did my makeup for my wedding along with the maid of honor. She was fantastic - beyond my expectations. I was initially very concerned having anyone do my makeup because of a past bad experience where the person clearly did not know how to deal with Asian eyes, so I was a bit scared, but Aleksandra was very patient and made me feel very comfortable when running through the trial. I would definitely hire her again, and would even take a makeup class with her. My maid of honor was also very impressed with her work and joked that she needed to hire her every morning to come and do her makeup.

Jackie was the hair stylist for our group and also did a fantastic job. She was able to easily replicate all of the photos we showed her and make any requested adjustments. My hair looked perfect all night long - not a strand came undone!

Both ladies were very professional and helped the whole group feel comfortable both in the trial run and on the day of the wedding - on time! Responsive! Worked quickly! Really could not have asked for anything more!

Aleksandra was wonderful! She's very sweet, understands skin and sensitive skin, took time to understand the look I was hoping to achieve, and exceeded all expectations. She was also wonderfully patient with my mom who was nervous, because she doesn't wear make up often, and she felt beautiful!

I thought I'd cry a little, but cried through much of the ceremony and worried I had 'undone' all of Aleksandra's beautiful work, but was thrilled to see not only had the mascara held up, but everything looked flawless! I just need to touch up my lipstick.

From our first meeting, I told Aleks that all I wanted was to make my husband say "Wow" when he saw me coming down the aisle. She did that and more. His first words to me were, "You look so beautiful". That was all due to Aleks. Aleks also did the makeup for my matron of honor. She was also blown away, and plans on taking makeup lessons with Aleks in Philly.
I feel that Aleks truly made my wedding! She set the tone for the day, and gave me more confidence than I've ever had in my life. Aleks made me feel exactly like ALL brides should feel on their wedding day--like a princess! Thank you, Aleks! You are beyond wonderful!!

Aleksandra's work is amazing. She came to our hotel right on time and was able to get all 6 girls done quickly but most importantly- perfectly. Our traditional makeup lasted all day requiring minimal to no touching up. My mom who never wears makeup got SO MANY comliments that she has now become a religious makeup wearer! I wore fake eyelashes but they were applied so well they looked completely natural in all of my photos and I barely noticed they were there (unlike when I apply them myself). Overall I think she did a great job.

Her colleague, Jackie, did all of our hair and I was impressed with how quickly she worked! All of our styles turned out beautiful...she was very flexible- even worked with extensions (thrown at her the last possible second) and was able to get a complicated barette and bird cage veil on my head exactly how I envisioned them (accessories we didn't have at the time of my trial). We were all very satisfied and impressed with both our hair and makeup and I would highly recommend both! The services are a little pricey but for the convenience of having them come to you it was well worth it! Thanks so much for making us as beautiful as possible on my wedding day :)

I was very happy with my hair and make-up for my wedding! Aleksandra did my make-up and Kelsey did my hair. At the trial, I brought along some photos of hair and make-up that I liked. Aleksandra and Kelsey were very accommodating. They listened to my feedback and gave me exactly the hair and make-up I wanted for my wedding. Both of them were very flexible. I found Aleksandra online after a failed make-up trial with another artist. I was planning a wedding out of state so an online portfolio was important in my decision making. After seeing Aleksandra's diverse portfolio I knew I had to book a trial with her. I'm so glad I did.

She is super sweet, professional, and of course an amazing artist. It is hard to find a non-Asian artist that knows how to apply make-up on Asian faces but Aleksandra knew exactly what she was doing. She did my makeup as well as my three bridesmaids and the two mothers and everyone looked great.

Thank you Aleksandra for making my wedding party so beautiful!!

I can't say enough good things about Alenksandra Ambrozy. She came highly recommended by a friend of mine who is a hair stylist who has worked with Aleksandra on multiple weddings and was also a client of hers as well. I never even had a makeup trial with Aleksandra because her reputation was so good and I trusted her judgement. IT TOTALLY PAID OFF! I had never had my make professionally done before so I was a little nervous but Aleksandra was so professional and efficient. She immediately calmed my wedding day nerves. She was more than happy to come to the hotel I was getting ready at and was able to complete my makeup along with my two bridesmaids in a little over an hour. I can't tell you how many compliments all of us got that day on our makeup. It felt so light yet it stayed on the entire night through hours of dancing etc. I didn't even have the airbrush makeup done and it still stayed on beautifully all night. I will recommend Aleksandra to all of my friends who are looking for an exceptional makeup artist for a reasonable price. Thanks again! Pictures to follow:)

Aleksandra was incredible. I was really nervous to have my makeup done for the wedding because I am definitely a minimalist when it comes to everyday makeup, and when I've had my makeup done in the past I end up looking very clown/hooker-like. I did a trial run with her and absolutely loved the way the makeup looked (she did EXACTLY what I wanted, with the photo I gave her of an example), and even when I emailed her a few days later to say that in retrospect, I thought the foundation had a little too much shimmer, she was happy to adapt her plan. The day of the wedding, she was on-time, professional, did a beautiful job on my bridesmaids & mom, did an AMAZING job on my makeup, and was even willing to throw some blush on my grandmother at the end, just for fun! Love her!

I was getting married on 12/12/12 in Maryland - a planned elopement if you will. Being I am from Philadelphia, I was stressing BIG TIME over who was going to do my hair and makeup. After all... this was still my wedding day. No one except the inn keeper of where we were getting married, the photographer we hired and the people who issued our marriage license knew about my wedding. And in my opinion, the hair and especially the makeup, make or break everything, especially the photos!! I knew no one in Maryland, and I certainly could not ask anyone for recommendations as my secret wedding would have been revealed. Well, it was like I received a sign from above...

A friend of mine who is in the modeling business posted Aleksandra's web page on Facebook. I then saw the post and the rest was pure fate. I contacted Aleksandra, she was willing to travel to Maryland to do my hair and makeup and I was able to fit in a trial session. All for an EXTREMELY reasonable fee!!!

Aleksandra can do anything from a classic bride look to a more modern, trendy-edgy wedding day look. She does both airbrush foundation and traditional foundation application and has a palate of colors for eyes, cheeks and lips that is fabulous. She came loaded with flat irons, curling irons, pins and has tons of knowledge about working with hair extensions!! AND, she is 100% understanding of the look that you want and makes it happen!!!

I 100% recommend Aleksandra for your wedding day whether you are flying solo like me, or you need her and a team of hair and makeup artists!! She WILL make your dream day a reality!!!
