The flower arrangements and bouquets were exquisite! Professional, attentive, creative, timely and knowledgable. The list could go on. Of all the vendors we chose to help make my daughter’s day so special, Carly and Affordable Arrangements was my favorite and the one I felt most at peace with. An example of Carly going above and beyond…all of the bouquets, boutonnières, and arrangements were ordered weeks in advance and at the last minute (the night before), we needed an additional bouquet for an “Ave Maria” prayer at the Catholic church. Carly got it done! And she did it with patience and great willingness to accommodate our last minute request. I can not thank her enough! Carly and her team were absolutely fantastic. I'm not a flower person, so I'm sure I didn't describe what I was envisioning well - but she absolutely brought my vision to life and made our day SO beautiful. Stunning Supportive Florals
Carly was very easy to communicate with. She provided helpful clarifying questions that guided many choices for floral design. As decisions were adjusted, Carly was incredibly flexible and accommodating. The bridal bouquet, florals on our arch, and groomsmen boutonnieres were just as described and were bold delicate, and beautiful. We had a great experience using Affordable Arrangements as our wedding florist. Carly was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. She offered us great suggestions for florals for our venue when we had no idea what we wanted, but she was also very reasonable and did not try to upsell us on anything that we didn't need. The arrangements that they put together for our arch and the greenery they hung from the chandeliers in our reception space were our favorite decorations at the wedding!

Carly was so kind when we had to postpone our wedding a year and move our date from 2021 to 2022. Their flowers on our day were very beautiful! They arranged lovely bridal bouquets, calla lily boutonnières, pretty arch florals, and a tall arrangement- all within our purple and magenta color scheme and the flower ideas we had (lilacs!). The arrangements were set up quickly and I wish I could see them again (good thing I’m having my bouquet preserved). Recommend!

Two perfect weddings! I met Carly 5 years ago when she did the flowers for our son's wedding. She was an absolute joy to work with and came up with affordable and elegant ideas for their floral arrangements. So when our daughter became engaged, we knew that Carly was the one we hoped would do her flowers also. There were so many places in the venue our daughter selected that needed flowers and Carly made each of them absolutely perfect. Our guests were overwhelmed when they walked into the beautiful barn at Riverside on the Potomac and saw the tables!
Carly really cares about every bride and does everything she can to make sure their vision comes true. Weddings are expensive, so you need to work with true professionals that give you the best value for your money - but more importantly, a vendor that works with you as a true partner. Carly is that person. If you are lucky enough to get your wedding on her calendar -- book her !!

When I started the search for wedding flowers, I had a few different ideas in my mind. When I met with Carly and showed her a few pictures of what I was thinking, along with my dress and the color scheme I was thinking of, she immediately came up with some great ideas. Fast forward to our wedding day and she completely blew it out of the park with her florals! We didn’t want to spend a ton of money on our flowers and Carly kept that in mind during the entire process. She was extremely responsive to emails, worked with a few changes that we needed last minute and was overall a lovely person to work with. We hired Affordable Arrangements for our wedding and Carly did a great job of meeting our needs! If you’re planning a wedding from out of state, Affordable Arrangements was one of the only vendors that made that process easy - most of the other vendors we contacted required in person meetings, which was not easy for us to do at all since we live multiple states away. As such, Carly made this process really easy for us. Furthermore, flowers were not one of the topics we were obsessing over and we were looking for a vendor that we could supply our color scheme and a few ideas to and they could take care of the rest - which Carly did tremendously well. She was very communicative over email, sent us a slide deck of what flowers would go into each of our arrangements, and was easy to get on the phone. For the event itself, the flowers were delivered on time, set up exactly as expected, and looked exactly the way we were hoping they would look.

Carly is absolutely the best. She made the flower process the easiest it could possibly be. I had a vague idea of what I was looking for and she made it a reality without it costing a small fortune. She walked my mother and I through everything and was really easy to reach throughout the entire process. She even made some changes for when we decided on using fresh flowers instead of sugar flowers for our cake.
On the day of my wedding we had to change the ceremony site due to mud. The coordinator called Carly and told her that we couldn't do the arbor anymore. Carly took it an created it into pieces that could be used at our new ceremony location and around the venue at the cocktail hour and reception site. The flowers all looked beautiful, and I received a lot of compliments on my bouquet.
I could not recommend Carly any more highly. I wish there were more stars to give her!

Overall, we had a wonderful experience working with Carly throughout the entire wedding planning process. At our initial meeting to discuss our wedding flower vision - she was super knowledgeable, personable, and easy to work with - designing a flower plan/proposal based on some Pinterest photos I brought with me. Additionally, she was able to help us save money by offering flower repurposing options!
After our meeting, I would often email her with new requests and changes to the flowers - she was extremely responsive and flexible as well continued to provide exemplary service leading up to the big day!
On the wedding day itself, the flowers were perfect and exactly what we envisioned! Every flower detail from the pergola arch to the flowers on the cake to the bridal bouquets received compliments. We hired Carly to provide the flowers for our June 2018 Wedding at Murray Hill in Leesburg. I have to start by saying that the flowers were my absolute favorite part of our wedding! I work full time so it was always difficult for me to take time off to meet with vendors as I was going through the hiring process. Carly was willing to have an initial consultation over the phone with me to talk about my vision. I told her I wanted rustic, blush and sage colors, and lots of greenery to fit our venue. She started by having me state everything that I wanted and we can always go back after and remove anything that doesn't work in our budget. Before I found Carly, I was growing frustrated with other florists who didn't really grasp the idea that we had a very strict floral budget and we couldn't spend an arm and a leg on flowers. Carly was so accommodating by making sure she found flowers that were in season and giving us a line item proposal with the costs of each item. Carly was always really responsive and quick to come up with new ideas when I had second thoughts about 6 months before the big day on my color scheme. Thankfully I stuck with my original plan because it turned out so well. She even found us a rental company to provide the milk glass centerpiece vases I was set on having for our wedding.
Carly did the most wonderful job. I gasped when I saw my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets because they were so beautiful and beyond anything I could have ever imagined myself. She actually emailed me about a week before my wedding to ask if I wanted to incorporate some blush peonies at no extra cost because she had a bunch left and didn't ant them to go to waste. I am so thankful to her for that because peonies are one of my favorite flowers but I knew they were expensive and I didn't think we could afford them. Everything was absolutely stunning and she executed my vision better than I could have ever imagined. I would recommend Affordable Arrangements to anyone!

Carly was truly fantastic to work with! She spent an over an hour on the in-person consultation going over different ideas and taking notes on our vision. Somehow in my excitement, I completely forgot to mention my budget. After the initial consultation she sent me a detailed proposal that ended up being quite a bit over our budget. I asked Carly to make some adjustments and she did an amazing job with some revisions and actually ended up under budget! I made a few changes over the next few months and Carly was always accommodating and helpful. In terms of the actual flowers - she nailed it! Carly perfectly captured our vision of a delicate and magical spring floral look! So many people commented on how much they loved our centerpieces and bridal/bridesmaid bouquets. Carly is amazing and we recommend her very highly!

At the beginning of planning our wedding, I was unsure about what floral arrangements I wanted, and had already gotten an astronomical quote from another florist. After contacting affordable arrangements, Carly was immediately accommodating and extremely helpful. She helped turn my ideas into the perfect floral arrangements. The pricing was extremely reasonable and the quality of the flowers was amazing. A week and a half after the wedding, we returned from our honeymoon and saw one of the arrangements and it was still as beautiful as ever! Carly was amazing to work with! She was so quick to respond and worked with us on creating beautiful centerpieces and floral arrangements for the wedding while still respecting out budget. She also provided my mom some additional flowers at a very reasonable price for some additional decorations for the venue. On the day of the wedding, she came in and did her thing and when I finally got a looked at the venue, there were even more flowers than I ever could have imagined. It was so fun to walk around the venue and see all the little touches she did. Moreover, my bouquet was probably my favorite thing at my wedding! I had originally wanted to create my own flower arrangements to save money, but later decided I didn't want the stress associated with it. I reached out to Carly (very responsive) and she was able to put together a quote for me (within my DIY budget!!). She was very helpful as far as suggesting different flower types to reduce cost, she took numerous changes to my order with no issues (even the week of - I'm sorry), and truly delivered on my vision of what our flowers would look like. We received many compliments on the arrangements and I couldn't be happier with the decision to have Carly provide our corsages, boutonnieres, bridal bouquet, and table arrangements. The flowers Carly put together for our wedding were beautiful! I live out of town so communicated with Carly via phone and email. She was so easy and pleasant to work with. After our first conversation Carly knew exactly what I wanted and created floral arrangements even more beautiful than I had imagined. I really don't know what I would have done without Carly and Affordable Arrangements. I am not great on deciding what matches or what kinds of flowers go where, but I gave Carly my colors and an idea of what I wanted and she brought it to life. The flowers were exactly what I pictured! She even gave us ideas of how to re purpose the flowers for the ceremony at the reception to help save on cost. She set up everything and worked with the venue to coordinate where the flowers went after the ceremony- i didn't even need a day of coordinator! I gave her 14 lanterns and said I wanted them "decorated somehow with matching flowers" and wow did she deliver, they looked great! She brought all the vases and Shepard hooks and I was able to leave everything at the venue for her to pick up later- no hassle for me! Everything looked amazing, and at the end of the day when people say what they spent on flowers, I spent half. I would highly recommend Carly for your big day!

Carly was a life saver after we realized that many of the other florists in our area were not within our budget. She was able to take all the inspiration photos I had been saying for so long and created my dream bouquet without breaking the budget. She was also able to incorporate lace from my late grandmother's wedding dress, as well as my sorority badge, into my arrangement, which made the entire bouquet even more special. Carly was very responsive, answered all my questions and emails and produced beautiful bouquets for my bridesmaids and boutonnieres for the groomsmen. Carly was such a pleasure to work with! She came highly recommended by two brides who got married in the same area, and I would be remiss if I didn't pass along the same courtesy. You can tell that she has a true passion and talent for what she does. She worked with me to envision beautiful local and seasonal blossoms. When they arrived at the venue, the flowers were even better than I could have imagined. She was able to work with my budget and gave me awesome tips on how to save money (moving the bridesmaids bouquets and aisle arrangements after the ceremony to use as center pieces for the reception). The website has an awesome checklist to help you figure out what you'll actually want/need for your ceremony. She doesn't take any of the flowers back after the wedding, so we offered them to our guests.
A quick tip- when you book your appointment, she works out of her house. You'll show up to a house and workshop in her backyard.

I found Carly on WeddingWire and she was the only vendor to respond so quickly, with some ideas, and then even with a formal bid and pictures of flowers that she suggested. Ours was a May wedding in the barn of a beautiful vintage home, so as such we wanted rustic, wildflower-y feeling hand tied bouquets instead of the more formal ones that she mostly had on her site, and all made out of colorful blooms. Since I live in CA, she was available to chat via email, shared a pinterest idea board with me, and also met with my mother for the final touches. My bouquets were...SO BEAUTIFUL. They were the right balance of soft muted pastels that really pop in photos, and they lasted through a very cold and rainy day! Her price was also very reasonable for the area, and she even let my dad come and pick up the flowers to avoid the delivery fees since we only had the personal flowers, corsages, flowergirl crown, boutonnieres, and only a very small arbor piece. I was so in love with my bouquet, and the peonies that she added to make mine more special!!! Thank you so much to her!

I honestly booked her late (in wedding terms) probably only about 2 months out from our wedding once I realized I couldn't handle doing all the flowers myself. I had one phone conversation with her, sent her some photos and she executed my vision beyond perfectly! Our colors were yellow and blue and she made beautiful sunflower arrangements with hydrangeas and made this bold look so elegant. People keep remarking on our photos and how beautiful the flowers were! When I walked into our wedding venue I literally screamed with delight when I saw the centerpieces. Carly is such a joy to work with! Not only does she provide great pricing and flexibility, but she is also mindful of doing the right thing! We had a two day event, and wanted to repurpose some of the arrangements for both days. We picked up the flowers on Thursday night to use them for our Friday morning ceremony. The flowers were packaged so carefully and we were able to handle them very easily. Unfortunately by Friday evening, some of the flowers started to wilt and we were concerned about reusing them for Saturday. I called Carly in a panic and she replaced the wilted flowers free of charge. The next day, she delivered and set up our flowers at our venue. We were so impressed by the decorations and she even threw in a few extras! We had a hard time finding a vendor to provide us with what we were envisioning for our wedding flowers. We found Carly and she invited us over for a sit down and we were blown away! Carly at Affordable Arrangements did a wonderful job providing floral arrangements for my wedding. I am not very knowledgeable about flowers, but I knew that I wanted my arrangements to have an organic feel and be inspired by wildflowers. During our consultation, I felt like Carly really listened to my vision and gave helpful suggestions on how to execute it. She was also very transparent about her pricing, which I found very reasonable. On the day of the wedding, when I saw the bridal and bridesmaid’s bouquets, I was thrilled. They were beautiful and just want I had wanted. I absolutely loved the flowers she arranged for my reception. The variety of wildflowers she arranged in bud vases were so lovely. They really captured the rustic and romantic vision I was trying to achieve. Carly was so pleasant and easy to work with and I couldn’t have been happier with the flowers for the wedding. I’d highly recommend her.

We worked with Carly at Affordable Arrangements for our flower needs for our wedding and the results were fantastic. I had found Carly through wedding wire and after reading reviews, my then fiancé and I met with her. At the meeting, we described the theme of our wedding and provided general ideas on what we were looking for. Carly was great at providing suggestions on flowers that would fit with our budget while accommodating to how we wanted the day to look. Additionally, knowing that we were budget conscious, she also provided suggestions on ways to trim down cost (pick up vs. delivery, flowers that were in bloom for the season, etc.). All the bouquets and arrangements came out perfect and our wedding was decorated so beautifully.

Carly at Affordable Arrangements was the best! Do not let this name deter you -- they ARE affordable and they are ALSO amazing! I called Carly with a budget and some ideas I had about 3 weeks before my wedding. I didn't plan on having flowers, but decided last minute that it might be a nice touch...she made everything I wanted happen including delivery! I had 6 beautiful sunflower & wildflower arrangements in large mason jars, the most spectacular caspia & hypericum flower crown, 12 caspia & hypericum boutonnieres, my sunflower hypericum, & caspia bouquet and sunflowers for my bridesmaids all for $500.
I had no idea what I wanted besides sunflowers and very modest but fun colored flowers and Carly talked me through all my different options and helped me to coordinate all the colors that I was thinking as well as sent me pictures of each of the flowers so we were on the same page. She was very quick with responses and made it super easy to pay by credit card over the phone without having to send in weird authorization forms and upcharging a credit card fee.
I would absolutely recommend her for any event whether it's a wedding or not. So happy to have found Affordable Arrangements!

Carly provided the flowers for my daughter's wedding in May 2015. She was so great to work with and the flowers were beautiful. Since we were not really very knowledgeable about flowers, and just had an idea of the colors/style we wanted, she walked us through many options with the pluses and minuses of each type of flower (cost, sturdiness, colors available). She was very flexible as we explored options from getting loose flowers to put together out own bridesmaids bouquets to having her make them - priced out both options and let us choose. She provided not only the wedding party's flowers, but also the flowers used for the décor (arranged by our decorator). The best part was that her prices were very competitive - actually she came in lower than the price we got from the local grocery store florist. And the quality was terrific - bouquets were beautiful - flowers were fresh, at the perfect state of bloom - and exactly what my daughter had pictured in color and style.

I am so grateful that I chose Carly and Affordable Arrangements as florist for my wedding. She quickly understood my vision for flowers and nailed it! We got married at Oatlands Historic Estate and Garden, and therefore she worked with my specific ideas to enhance the natural beauty of the gardens in a sophisticated, elegant and understated style. Everybody we spoke to has complimented us on the beauty and elegance of the table arrangements, wedding party bouquets/boutonnieres, cocktail table bud vases and overall understated charm that your flowers brought to our wedding. Also, she worked with us to deliver the flowers to the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening- which were a perfect way to tie in the theme and easy way to reuse the flowers. I couldn't have dreamed for anything better, her flower's looked like they were straight from a magazine of my ideal wedding! Carly at Affordable Arrangements was so phenomenal throughout the whole process! I had one phone meeting with her and did the rest via email and she couldn't have made it easier. I didn't have very strong opinions about my flowers, but sent her a few pictures that had aspects of what I wanted. I told her I wanted low, unstructured arrangements and bouquets with ivories, whites, and greenery and she took it from there! She was super flexible, sending me new estimates every time and I changed my mind. The day of, she dropped everything off with my planner and I couldn't have been happier with the final product. The center pieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpiece arrangements were all perfect! And for such an incredible cost. It was perfect!

I loved this florist from the very beginning - I got a few quotes from some other vendors but I never met with anyone else. Carly was absolutely WONDERFUL. We met over coffee and I showed her some pictures and spent time talking about myself and my (now) husband. She understood exactly what I wanted and I was not disappointed come wedding day :) I was so impressed when she sent me her proposal with pictures of the flowers we had discussed attached - it was exactly what I wanted and it relieved so much stress to know she understood! She was incredibly flexible - we were changing amounts and other details right up to the week of the wedding. She was always easy to work with and always helpful. I enjoyed working with her immensely.

Our wedding and reception flowers by Carly Johnson from Affordable Arrangements were excellent. Based on the great reviews, we decided to call for a consultation. When we drove up to Carly's flower farm and saw her gardens, we knew immediately she was going to be great. We had a fall wedding and brought ideas and photos from Pinterest with us, which Carly was eager to incorporate. She also emailed photos later of the specific flowers she was going to use, which was a huge help. We appreciated Carly's visual creativity and imagination. We had an autumn wedding in a rustic setting, and so our arrangements included wildflowers with greens and yellows highlighted with oranges and purples. Bouquets were wrapped in twine and framed with curly willow branches, and centerpieces were held in Mason jars. She suggested incorporating rosemary and sage, which smelled incredibly good. Carly was also very personable and spent time getting to know us. Delivery was prompt, and the price was indeed affordable compared with other florists in the Washington area. We recommend Affordable Arrangements highly.

Carly was recommended to us from our cake vendor and it was a huge success! We only did bouquets for myself (bride) and my bridesmaids, and boutonnieres for the gentlemen, but they were stunning. I told Carly that I wanted a bouquet of white roses & blue bombay orchids and it was amazing. It was perfect & exactly what I envisioned. Her prices were very reasonable and she allowed us to pick up the flowers day of to avoid the extra fee to deliver. My only regret was not ordering a tossing bouquet as she suggested as mine got ruined during the bouquet toss. I would definitely recommend Carly, as well as the extra bouquet for tossing if you're going that route.

Carly was a joy to work with for my wedding. At the start of the planning process, I didn't have a strong idea of what kinds of colors I wanted. But after talking with Carly and discussing a broad palette (yellow, orange, blue, purple, white), she was able to design an absolutely gorgeous arrangement. We were able to stop by her place in Leesburg to see a sample bouquet and centerpieces before the wedding. She did a fantastic job with the corsages and boutonnieres too, and even attached a few flowers to bobby pins for my hair. Since we did a Jewish wedding, we also needed a chuppah (wedding canopy), which Carly was able to provide. She has a homemade, all-natural, wooden chuppah (made by her husband), which Carly decorated with our wedding flowers for the ceremony. We received SO many complements on the flowers. And it was literally half the price of all the other vendors we surveyed. Plus Carly has a bright personality, is so fun to work with, and supports local businesses that employ women. I already recommended her to friends who ended up using Affordable Arrangements for their weddings and had great experiences too.

100% recommend Carly and Affordable Arrangements for any bride, small or large wedding! I have to be honest, I had a hard time picking a florist... they all seemed to make beautiful bouquets, so I went on affordability as well as my gut feeling upon meeting them. My first meeting with her felt very personal, she offered a ton of suggestions, and her prices were so reasonable. I had to pick her and I definitely made the right choice! After understanding the feel I was going for (soft, romantic, semi-formal), she sent pictures of what blooms she thinking about using, but I was so confident in her abilities that I didn't really know what the bouquets would look like until the day of - what an amazing surprise - they were perfect. I also appreciated that she never tried to upsell anything, just gave me exactly what I asked for. My mom's friend did our table arrangements, and as a last minute request, Carly got the flowers for these for us at decent prices and even provided input on how to make a floating centerpiece work. I had a few bad experiences with other vendors who made me feel like there wasn't a strong sense of customer service in the wedding industry and Carly was such a breath of fresh air in this sense! Her talents and personality are awesome!

My wife and I really enjoyed working with Carly at Affordable Arrangements for our wedding flowers. Her goal is to provide beautiful flowers at reasonable costs (very unique in the NoVa area!), and she definitely delivered.
When my wife (Lindsay) met with Carly for her consultation, she was very impressed with Carly's professionalism, friendliness, expertise, and practicality. Carly was great about working with Lindsay to get as close to her ideal as possible without going over budget, while also getting excited about our ideas. For example, Lindsay wanted a bouquet of white hydrangeas, roses, calla lilies, and peonies. Carly agreed that this would be beautiful, but warned that peonies would be pretty expensive in this area at the time of the wedding (September). She recommended using garden roses instead, which both saved money and looked beautiful.
Carly was very responsive to calls and email, and was very punctual on the day of the wedding. She contacted our venues and other vendors ahead of time to work out timing and make sure everything ran smoothly, which was great. All in all, it was a pleasure working with her, and we'd recommend Affordable Arrangements to anyone.
