Shuva was phenomenal to work with for my wedding and definitely goes above and beyond what you'd expect from a photographer! My husband and I wanted someone who would catch the day as it unfolded without a lot of staging or fuss; Shuva's photo journalistic style was exactly what we were looking for. She was wonderful to work with, very professional, personable, and offered many great suggestions to enhance the day and experience. She's got a great system for how to make the day flow seamlessly and a natural instinct for being in the right place at the right time to catch unforgettable moments. In addition to beautifully photographing our wedding, we had an amazing engagement session with Shuva in which she actually helped my husband and I learn more about each other through her fun and creative process. She did wonderful blogs after our engagement session and wedding which we could share with our friends and family. She met with us multiple times to prepare for our big day and she is super quick in responding to emails and sending us our pictures. AND she laid out THE MOST GORGEOUS wedding album for us. You'll love working with her for your big life celebrations but you would be be mistaken to categorize her solely as a wedding or event photographer. She's passionate and truly inspired by capturing people doing what makes them happy. Her services far exceeded my expectations and I am immensely grateful for her time, feedback, suggestions, help, and talent.

Shuva has been amazing to work with! She sends prompt personalized emails. She's genuinely interested in getting to know us as a couple. She's invested in her clients and the outcome of their wedding experience. She gives suggestions and advice...oh and she takes great photos!!! Our engagement session was a blast. Can't wait to see our wedding photos. Highly recommended and super fun to work with.

Accent Photographics was an excellent choice for photographing our wedding. Their personal and flexible service really help simplify an already too complicated day. The price was a steal for the amount of stuff we got in our package, and the pictures look amazing. Accent Photographics is also very modern with how they deal with photo distribution. They can do quality prints at extra cost, but they also give you digital copies for your own printing needs. Fantabulous!

Shuva was, in a word, fantastic. We went a little off the beaten path for both our engagement pictures and our wedding and she rolled with whatever we threw at her (ie: Darth Vader crashing the cake cutting!) and was always up for anything.

She has a positive, accepting attitude and great communication skills which are essential qualities for a good wedding photographer. We probably communicated more with her than with any of our other wedding vendors and every email we sent was answered promptly with every question addressed. She also made sure that we had the schedule for the day hammered out well ahead of time and helped keep everything running smoothly and on time during the wedding day.

In addition to all these other positive qualities, she also takes beautiful pictures. She has quite a knack for catching special little moments and capturing them in a way that takes you back to that moment each time you look at the photo. Her photos weave a complete story of the wedding day from start to finish and not a moment was missed.

Short version: We loved every aspect of working with Shuva and if we were to do the whole wedding over, we would choose her again as our photographer in a heartbeat!

We could not have hoped for a better photographer than Shuva! She is incredibly friendly and has a genuine passion for her work that shines through her photos. The photos of our big day perfectly captured our personalities, our friends and family, and created a story of not only our wedding day but our relationship. Shuva's wedding package was by far the best value we found of any professional photographers. In addition to shooting over 10 hours at our wedding, Shuva's package included an engagement photo shoot which allowed us to meet and get to know Shuva months before the wedding. By the wedding day we were so comfortable with her that we could truly be ourselves and capture true moments rather than poses. With our package, we still have a photo shoot left checking in on us after the wedding. We are looking forward to it and are so happy we chose Shuva to be our photographer! Her passion to capture true moments in her photos create more personal sessions to the point that Shuva became more than our photographer and grew to be a friend.

Shuva has a knack for catching the perfect moments. They look completely natural, not like a pose. She's wonderful to work with, I wouldn't use any one else.

Shuva Rahim of Accent Photographics is an outstanding photographer. She takes beautiful photos and turns them in to high-quality prints, albums, and disc sets. She is full of wedding planning advice, is easy to get in touch with, and has a great website and blog. I would say her wedding packages are the best value in the area for the quality and quantity you receive.

My husband and I could not be more pleased with our photos, albums, and the whole process of working with Shuva. We would highly recommend her to anyone!!

Shuva is the best! The photos from our special day (and our wedding photo book) blew my mind. They were of great quality, unique, plus they represented our day perfectly! Shuva not only has extraordinary skills, but she is organized, on time, and professional. I will recommend her to any couple!

Accent Photographics' owner and photographer Shuva Rahim is as warm as she is professional. After another photographer showed signs of being unreliable in the weeks prior to my wedding, I contacted Shuva, who managed to work a destination wedding into her schedule on short notice. Not only is she a pleasure to know, her skill in managing the complexities of wedding photography, including making everyone feel comfortable, is second to none. Her work also reflects a keen eye for capturing moments, which is no doubt due to her unique background in journalism and documentary work. Perhaps most important of all, Shuva's integrity and devotion to her work inspire trust in her clients, which is critical for any bride throughout this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Shuva was extremely helpful and always patient. It was very important to both my husband and I that for our wedding we didn’t just have a photographer, that we had a photo journalist which could document our wonderful moments and turn them into a wonderful story. Shuva did just that! She captured every moment of the day turning it into a wonderful story told through pictures. It was also another requirement that we had two photographers in order to capture each of us getting ready and capture the entire day from many angles. I was very impressed at the great lengths Shuva went to in order to insure we had a second photographer. Our wedding was over Labor Day weekend and apparently almost every photographer from the Quad Cities to Peoria was booked up, however, Shuva made it happen. The amount of extras that we received with the price we paid was shocking to my husband and I and everyone we told. From the Crazybooth which was a big hit at the wedding to a wonderful coffee table book telling the story of our wedding through pictures, to all the little extras she include, there was absolutely no questions in my mind, Shuva was the one who would be doing our wedding. Shuva was always very organized, prompt, attentive, patient, and always tried her best to meet every expectation we had. I absolutely do recommend Shuva to anyone I hear looking for a photographer.

Shuva was wonderful to work with. She shot our engagement and wedding last year. I LOVED all the pictures and had a difficult time deciding which ones to order. She is always professional. We found her very easy to work with and did not mind taking certain pictures. She recently came to our house for a newborn shoot and did her usual amazing work. We know we will be using her again for more family pictures.

Shuva did our trash the dress shoot and the professional photos for all the employees in our company. Every time we've worked with her has been a fantastic experience. She put everyone at ease, and everyone was thrilled with the results. We can't recommend her highly enough. We can't wait to do our newborn shoot with her!

I can't say enough about the positive experience and beautiful work by Accent Photographics!! Anytime I had questions I received a response RIGHT away, I was guided through all the processes step by step, and she took any special requests for pictures happily and ran with the ideas to make them great! I barely remember anything from our wedding because it seems such a blur now, but Shuva captured everything so beautifully. We feel very lucky to have had her for both engagement and wedding pictures! We also got our pictures back for both sessions and got to see them WAY before any of my other friends did for their weddings.

If I had to pick one vendor that I would say is a must for weddings in eastern Iowa, I would say Accent Photographics! Hiring Shuva as our photographer was the best "vendor" decision I made! Her pictures are magical - in the sense that they somehow transport you back to exactly what was happening at the moment she captured them. She has the ability to find angles and lighting that I would never recognize and use them to capture beautiful depictions of some of the most special moments of your life. She is approachable and funny, easy to work with, and just genuinely a good person... her creative talents stand out in her field. The pictures she took would have been treasures enough, but she also adds so many neat little "extras" for her clients... blogging about your day, setting your pictures to the music of your first dance, thank you cards with a photo of the couple for people to take away from the wedding/reception, a personalized sign-in book made from engagement photos, a crazy photobooth at the wedding for everyone to get in on the fun. And the list goes on... truly! There is so much more I could say about her, but the best thing I can tell you is to look at her website -www.accentphotographics.com - and contact her for a consultation. I "made" the wedding happen (with all of the details and planning from my own visions), but she allowed me to carry it forward and keep the experience/feeling of it alive in her photographs!

Shuva is amazing. Every time I look at my photos I feel like I'm there again. That's how great she is at really capturing your day.
I also loved that she wasn't too much in your "space". She got great shots and I didn't even know that she was there.
She truly is an artist and still months later I have friends and family telling me how great the photos are.
You don't want to miss out on Shuva and her amazing talent.

I would highly recommend Shuva, to anyone looking for amazing photographs. She is very good at what she does and creates amazing photographs. I wish we would of had more time so she could of shot photos of my husband and I all day! I do suggest asking for specific shots because I'm missing some shots that I really wish she would of taken.

Shuva expressed the greatest degree of professionalism throughout our business together. She had a detailed answer for every question and always responded promptly with any concern I had. Shuva with Accent Photographics was great to work with. She was quick to respond to emails and was so helpful through the whole process! She made with us to make sure we had a list of all the pictures we would need. Although she was great with the lead up to the wedding and the preparation, it was the day of where she really shined. The pictures went quick and were so organized. She made all of us feel so comfortable and the pictures turned out fantastic!

I have recommended Shuva, Accent Photographics to friends that are Brides To Be. She has a very creative eye and she has the ability to add a personal touch, while being a 'fly on the wall' during the big day. I felt that we 'befriended' her during the whole process!

Because Shuva comes from a documentary background, I felt like our wedding was truly documented...not posed for. Your wedding day is the last day you want to be hassled with: "Go over there! Can you do that again? Wait, wait...just a second!" Instead, Shuva lets you enjoy the day you've designed and anticipated. She uses her experience and talent to recognize and capture each priceless photographic moment...and you don't have to do anything but enjoy yourself.
