Best dj ever

We met Matt when we were attending a showcase for our wedding venue! We knew right away that we wanted him to be our Dj! He made our wedding day/night the best day of our lives! The absolute best

WOW! First of all, I am a COVID bride, so wedding planning was nothing short of crazy. I had scheduled Ryan to be my DJ originally, but after having to reschedule our reception, we got paired with Matt. At this point, I was fine with anyone to DJ, and knew Absolute would do a good job, but Matt absolutely killed it! We met with him once, told him what we wanted, and he did everything perfectly. He played music we told him we wanted, was personable, kept everyone dancing (literally for the whole reception), and was just an awesome guy. We would recommend Matt or anyone at Absolute any day of the week. If you're planning your wedding, hire Absolute RIGHT NOW!

The Absolute Best

The day we hired Ryan as our DJ was the day I quit stressing about our wedding. There were lots of things that made our wedding day perfect but Ryan is certainly at the top of that list. As someone who has worked in the wedding business for some time, he is one of the most detail oriented people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Wedding/Reception

Ryan is detail oriented and very thorough in the entire process from the initial interview to the end of the reception. Ryan made sure it was OUR day, just the way we wanted it to be. He was creative and flexible throughout the process. Ryan even created a special video for the father/daughter dance that captured the moment and will forever be remembered. I can't imagine a better DJ than Ryan. With so many choices, we are so glad we chose Ryan/Absolute Sound!

If you are still looking for a DJ. Ryan is your guy! He had everything under control, our food vendor was running behind and he found us and switched the schedule so easily and our day ran so smooth. And the dance floor was full all night. He also has an amazing setup that doesn’t get in the way of photos if that’s something you’re concerned about!

Best DJ we've ever worked with!

We originally had booked with Ryan to DJ our wedding but due to COVID we had to reschedule. unfortunately Ryan wasn't available on our new date but he was quick to offer us one of his colleges. Matt is who filled in and he was amazing to work with. He had our dance floor full the entire time! Ryan and Matt where amazing to work with prior to COVID and even more amazing during this craziness. HIGHLY recommend!

Ryan is amazing!

Ryan with Absolute Sound made our day perfect, I can't say it enough. I planned a wedding from out of state and had so much anxiety hoping it would all go smoothly. Ryan took care of so many small and large details, not once did I second guess choosing him. He took care of our sound and lighting, it was everything I ever wanted! Perfect Wedding

Absolute Sound was the PERFECT choice for our wedding. Not only was he accommodating and easy to work with; he did an amazing job of DJ'ing. The music selections all night kept everyone happy and on the dance floor. And to top it off our personalized first dance song stole the night. Months after our wedding we are still getting comments on how special, unique and memorable it was. It let people have a sneak peak into our journey and it's something we will always have to commemorate the day!

A Memorable Night!

After our wedding in June, we STILL have people talk about how awesome the evening was! Ryan did a fantastic job of taking care of everything our ceremony and reception needed from a full band with multiple vocalists during our ceremony to personalized introductions for our reception. He kept the party going with a FULL dance floor all evening long! It was evident that Ryan put in a lot of preparation time beforehand to make sure that the day went off without a hitch! If you are looking for entertainment for your wedding reception, I would HIGHLY recommend talking with Ryan. I can promise you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Wedding DJ and great experience!

We got married on sept 29, 2018. Ryan doesn’t just play music. He essentially helped plan and ensure things went smoothly. He helped us set the mood from the time of our arrival at the reception til our last guest left. We had some unforeseen things happen and he helped us through these transitions. He took initiative on numbering our tables and playing certain songs to organize our dinner line. He made the evening all about us. There was so much he helped us with and he took care of all the fine details. What an amazing and caring guy! We loved our special intros for us and our wedding party. We appreciated the thought and care that went into our first dance song and how you used our audio to make it unique and special for us. The organization of the speeches and getting us prepared for the toast was on point. My wife looked over and made a few hand gestures and some eye contact and somehow you were able to get the head table glasses and champagne and que the timing of the speeches to start without skipping a beat. We are so greatful for your services and couldn’t have asked for a better night which we enjoyed largely because of you. Thank you so much!

Ryan was the best to work with! We were very impressed with his professionalism and work ethic. He sat down with us and mapped out our whole reception so that we wouldn’t have to worry about it on wedding day. We felt almost like we had hired a DJ along with a wedding planner which was awesome! Choosing Ryan with Absolute Sound DJ Entertainment was one of the best vendor choices we made. I seriously cannot say enough about the service he provides! Our wedding reception would not have been what it was without him. Not only is he a DJ, he acts as almost a coordinator. He is extremely thorough in the planning process and thinks of everything. He creates a timeline for your event to ensure everything has order and stays on track. He knows exactly what to play to keep your guests on the dance floor the entire time. He does provide a few extras besides his music services. He provided a lighting back drop for our head table that turned out exactly how I was envisioning it. One of my favorite touches he adds to weddings is a "last dance". He sends everyone out for the send off and lets the bride and groom dance alone to one last song of their choice before exiting. This ended up being one of the most special moments of the day for us because we were always so busy and never really got a moment alone together. Seriously, if you want your day to be perfect, go with Absolute Sound. Worth every penny!

Matt was the DJ for our wedding & I can not express enough how much we appreciated him! Ryan can’t be beat. He will create a reception and ceremony for you that is tailored to all your wants and needs. I love that he only does weddings. To me, that says he is passionate about what he does for a living. I still get compliments on him from my guests. He read the crowd and kept the party going until the end of the night. Also, his planning website is awesome! You can get in and tell him exactly what you want. He is worth every penny.

Ryan is an absolute pro! He was easy to get in touch with (and stay in touch with throughout the planning process), has an excellent online planning form that allows you to track what information/payment he still needs from you, and clearly knows the business. He did our lighting in the reception area, pipe and drape for our ceremony altar, ceremony sound/music, ran a projector and slideshow during our big dances, and then did the music for the whole night of course! He also served as the MC for the evening. (SIDE NOTE: It was so convenient to have a company that could do lighting, pipe and drape, and music.) He was always tasteful with everything he said and did throughout the evening. We were very happy with his music selections. He slipped in our requested songs, but kept guests on the dance floor with crowd pleasers. He has a great online planning form, so it was easy to tell him songs that we did and did not want to show up throughout the night. However, what really blew us away, was his surprise for us. We told him that we didn't have anything planned for our exit at the end of the evening (we figured the party would just peter out and we would just catch the limo and go), except that we had a slow song that we wanted played. He said he would surprise us, and his surprise ended up being our favorite moment of the whole night! He had all the guests that were still remaining circle up around my husband and I, had us close our eyes and start to dance, and then he started to play the song (Exitlude by The Antlers). He and his assistant (while they had been running the music and everything else) had taken sound bites from our ceremony and the dinner toasts from 2 hours before and had overlaid them on to the song. My husband and I were both in tears, as were almost all the remaining guests. It was unbelievably beautiful and went so above anything we expected or even imagined. Ryan and his team are true professionals committed to making the wedding fairytale happen.

We couldn't have been happier with the DJ services Ryan provided. To this day (two months post-wedding), we still get compliments on how well Ryan kept the evening flowing. Actually, my husband and I attended a wedding recently where the DJ was inexperienced and it made us grateful we had picked Absolute Sound for our wedding. Our wedding reception was one of the best nights of our lives. You're always a little concerned how your guests will be once its time to hit the dance floor. Having a wide variety of guests and generations, I was a little more concerned, but Ryan nailed it. Everyone had a blast. My grandmother who keeps to herself 95% of the time even made it out to the floor! It was unreal how smoothly our night went and it was all because of Ryan. I can't recommend this guy enough!!!!

Married Couples - planning a wedding is fun, but take the time to find the BEST DJ!

Ryan made our wedding reception hands down, we couldn't have asked for a more professional and unique experience! He really takes the time to get to know both of you and make sure he could introduce you like he's known you forever!

We chose to be introduced for our first dance with a "Love Story" about how we met from both mine and my husbands views, it turned out amazing! I heard from multiple guests that they were crying, it was perfect! We have video of it and as we watched it back we were both smiling ear to ear as well as crying happy tears!

I can't say enough about Ryan with Absolute Sound. He is so easy to communicate with and very flexible. Having previously worked in the wedding industry, I had seen Ryan's work at several weddings before, and knew he was the right choice for us. Ryan really personalizes the details of the wedding to fit the bride and groom's love story. He puts as much effort into your wedding as you do. From the very beginning, he really helped us narrow down the details and offered us suggestions too, when we were stuck. There were several details that I had changed and he never acted as though that was a problem. Our favorite thing, that really drew us to Absolute Sound, was the private last dance that he allows the bride and groom. This is where he asks the guests to exit the room while the bride and groom get to dance to the last song without anyone else in the room. Ryan made our day that much more special. He was even better than I expected. Absolute Sound won't let you down! Thanks so much Ryan!

Choosing Ryan to be our DJ at our wedding was the best decision we made.. And I truly mean that! If the goal of your wedding reception is for everyone to have a good time and to be something they'll never forget, Ryan is the PERFECT choice for you. Our first dance had everyone in tears. My dad and I decided to have a "surprise" father/daughter dance and Ryan helped put all the songs together and created the best father/daughter dance song! He went out of his way and always answered any of the questions promptly. He met with us several times and got know us and what we wanted for our wedding. Ryan was awesome. He goes ABOVE and beyond any other DJ. His ideas were fabulous and the guest raved about all of his unique ways of handling crowds, entrances, and much more. Ryan was very easy to work with and had great ideas for lighting, graphics, order of reception events, etc. He has an easy-going, comfortable and pleasant personality and provided us exactly what we wanted him to give us. We would highly recommend him for any event!

Ryan Funck was incredible to work with. He put forth great ideas and made my wedding reception absolutely breathtaking with his uplighting, curtains, beaded backdrops, and music set up. He also did a fantastic job of being our emcee. Guests were impressed by how professional he was and for the volume of the music. I would definitely choose him again if I had to plan my wedding all over again!

We had Absolute Sound DJ our wedding reception and couldn’t be happier with how our event was handled. Ryan’s experience and recommendations helped make our event even more memorable. His final dance suggestion is something we will remember for a lifetime! It’s been a couple of months since our wedding reception and we continue to get compliments on Ryan. Ryan was perfect for my daughter's wedding. His personality was exactly like the couples and he knew exactly what they liked and kept things moving. There wasn't a time when the dance floor was empty that night and he made all the necessary traditions flow together so smoothly.

We LOVED Absolute Sound DJ Entertainment for our wedding! Booking Ryan was the best vendor decision we made (and money we spent!). He met with us for an individual consultation before booking, gave us a suggested timeline (which was the perfect flow), met with us again before the wedding, and listened to what we wanted for the feel of the wedding. He should also have the title "Reception Coordinator" because he kept things moving on time and guests informed and happy. All of our guests raved about him. He also did all our uplighting and put down a dance floor -- we're so happy we booked those extras as they transformed the room and made it into something beautiful and special! The music was exactly what we wanted, lots of upbeat songs mixed together instead of the usual wedding "song, pause, new song, pause" routine. The energy never dropped. We simply cannot recommend Absolute Sound enough. Ryan made our night perfect!

Ryan was incredibly helpful and catered to our couple style. He didn't just play standard music that you would here out at a bar by a DJ. He made our wedding unique to us. We had 2 or 3 meetings with him to talk about order and get a feel for what we wanted and it was wonderful because he never rushed us and genuinely got to understand us as a couple. He really made the entire ceremony and reception flow so smoothly. He was funny and organized (but flexible in times that needed it). I would highly recommend Ryan with Absolute Sound DJ to anyone! We are beyond happy with our decision to include him in our wedding plans!

We were very pleased with Absolute Sound DJ Entertainment. Ryan was very flexible, very helpful, even went out of his way to show us how to do a particular dance. He listened to our needs and concerns. He showed up 10 minutes early and started setting things up. He played the music that we requested. My family & friends came up to me a said that "Ryan was a good DJ and that he had played some great music". I would definitely recommend Absolute Sound DJ Entertainment for your next event. The point of having a DJ at your wedding reception is because you need someone to run your party! Ryan Funk is your man! From our fun, professional meetings to get ready for the big day to the actual reception, everything was just as Dan and I wanted. Ryan's attention to detail is wonderful and he has a lot suggestions to make your reception memorable for your guests. We can't sing Ryan's praises enough! Numerous guests commented on how much they liked our music selection and that Ryan did a wonderful job. We had guests on the dance floor all night! This DJ is amazing and worth every dollar!! My husband & I used him for our wedding and couldn't have been more pleased with the work he did. Not only did he play the appropriate type and variety of music that we were looking for, but he had a great sense of humor during the reception and also was wonderful at getting everything coordinated between all the people involved. We have also seen his work at another wedding and was just as amazing at that one too. Highly recommended!!

I simply cannot say enough good things about our experience with Absolute Sound DJ. This is truly a one-of-a-kind DJ who doesn't merely play music or provide lighting, he creates the atmosphere and energy and mood that is the backbone of the wedding reception. Ryan is absolutely amazing!! From the beginning we were confident with our choice in DJ. Ryan is who you work with the whole time, and he does nothing but weddings. He has quality equipment, and an endless song selection. He is extremely professional, he even wore a suite to our outdoor reception in July! He took care of us during our day and made sure that everything was going according to plan. Such a wonderful person and amazing and passionate about what he does!

Ryan Funck was so amazing every step of the way! He had a lot of new, great ideas, and really helped us personalize our reception! The reception wasn't rushed at all but he kept the flow which was wonderful! he also came in and set up accent lighting around the edges of the venue, added 4 lit cocktail tables on the corners of the dance floor, draping behind the head table and the projector for our photo montage! Everything was perfect! He was always very professional & I would recommend him to anyone!!!

There are so many wonderful things about this DJ, I have no idea where to begin. He was very prompt in responding to our e-mails, phone calls, etc. I can't imagine how busy he is, especially around wedding season, which is when we got married (June 1st), but yet I felt like he was never in a rush with us. We felt like we were the only wedding in his book, but yet a night before we teleconferenced (yes, he is willing to do this too!!), he had been up until 3am at another wedding.

He is so excited about what he does for a living and it SHOWS!! He wanted to make our wedding as special and as much "us" as he could. He had a plethora of ideas for the timeline of events, chosen songs, garter toss, etc, and would share them, however, he would never want you to choose his ideas "just because he said it". After our wedding, we received so many compliments from friends and family of ALL generations on how respectful he was, he spoke just the right amount, he involved everyone, and most importantly he kept the dance floor moving! He also brought some great spot lighting and a television for us to play our slide show of pictures as people arrived. He has a variety of packages to choose from, which can help your decisions MUCH easier to make.

He was extremely flexible with meeting times, and was worth EVERY penny we paid. We just couldn't be happier. He made our night so very special and was an absolute joy to work with!! Thank you so much!!!

We could not be happier with the quality and professionalism of Absolute Sound DJ Entertainment. We wanted our wedding to be unique and ours and Ryan Funck, our DJ, loved all of our ideas and even offered some ideas of his own. He never tried to convince us his ideas were right and was even willing to cut something if we didn't like it. He was prompt, played all of our requests and even adjusted at the last minute for changes. He had all of the guests dancing the entire reception (something we were concerned about) and my mother even kissed his cheek at the end of the night.

We had a full dance floor for over 6 HOURS! Multiple people said it was the best wedding they had been to and that they were having so much fun! Ryan kept everything going in a timely manor, and our party was never lagging. AMAZING!

Our original DJ had a health crisis that did not enable him to be at our wedding. We were heartbroken and concerned for him, but also worried about our wedding that was 5 days away. He said he had a backup, and when we met with Ryan we were a little nervous! He made us feel right at ease - he got our song list, listened intently, and knew the vibe of our wedding immediately. Our reception went off without a hitch, even my 78 year old grandmother said she enjoyed him immensely! His suggestions and professionalism ended the night perfectly...a one-on-one dance with my new husband in our reception hall alone, while our eager guests waited outside to send us away. I still get goosebumps thinking of that moment, and know it will be one that will last my whole life. THANK YOU RYAN!

Ryan was an absolute pleasure to work with. We didn't realize how important a good DJ was until we experienced it. We thought a good iPod playlist and some speakers would do just fine, we were wrong!!! Ryan was professional from the first meeting we had with him approximately 6 months prior to the wedding until after the last guest had left the reception. We recieved numerous compliments from our guests and even our wedding planner that it was the best reception they had ever seen!!! We recommend him to everyone we know who is getting married and they have been just as pleased. There are a lot of ways to save money on your wedding, but hiring just any DJ is NOT one of them. I was recommended to Absolute from our Photographer. I called Ryan at Absolute and talked to him for about 20 minutes. He had many questions for me about what I wanted our day to be about. He wants to make sure that he is the right fit for the event as much as you are wanting to make sure he is right too. It was great! He sets up an online "survey" for lack of a better word, for you to fill out so that he can get to know you and your fiance. Then when you meet with him, you feel like he already knows much about you because he really does look at that information. He had great ideas of fun things that you can do during the reception to make it memorable for you and for your guests. There were times when he would throw out ideas, or we would throw an idea at him and he would think about how to make it work. Our family's favorite parts were the photo montage that was so professionally put together, and our entrance and exit with bubbles and sparklers. Our favorite part was at the end of the night, Darren and I were able to have a final dance completely alone - just the 2 of us. It was such a nice ending to a day that is truly for the 2 of us!

Ryan Funck did a wonderful job, and made our reception run smoothly! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a DJ for their wedding. My mother told me hiring a DJ was a waste of money, but after the wedding she couldn't stop talking about what a great job Ryan did and was very glad we hired him. Ryan did such a great job - - you could tell that he really cared about our big day. We had a very unique comedic inspired reception that required alot of prep work syncing sound music and lighting. Ryan was great about coming to the venue to rehearse with us the night before and he also stayed late (til 1 am) the night of the reception without hesitation. The lighting that he did for us was exactly how I had imagined - he hit a home run!

Ryan was great! Incredibly professional and very nice. Being this was the first wedding reception our family ever put together we were more than a little unaware how everything was supposed to go. Ryan met with us ahead of time and used his years of experience to help us map out a game plan on how it should go to keep things moving and fun for our guest. The day of the wedding he showed up on time and in professional attire. The thing that blew us away about Ryan is he not only more than fullfilled his duties as being our DJ but with him being there it also allowed my parents to set back relax and enjoy their daughters reception instead of worrying about keeping us on time which I am truly grateful for. Ryan was our right hand man keeping us all on time reminding us of the dances, speeches and when it was time for us to leave for our honeymoon. The night goes by so fast that if it wasn't for Ryan running us down and reminding us of stuff we would of been late for everything. He was also great with the little kids there as well. Not one person at our reception had one negative thing to say about the night and my entire family would agree that is owed to Ryan keeping things moving and fun. In fact we had several guest comment on how great he was! When everything was said and done my husband and I were off to our honeymoon on time, our parents were able to relax after a year of stressful wedding planning, and our guests and their kids danced and had a blast! Had an absolutely wonderful experience with Ryan, he is professional, understanding, and willing to make things work for you. I really liked that Ryan had more than one plan to offer. A lot of other DJs I had looked into had a flat fee for a flat set of time. Our reception was small, short and sweet and Ryan made things work out for us! I had a very fun time at my reception and felt like there wasn’t anything for me to do but enjoy the evening with my new husband. He is very detailed! I received a questionnaire asking a lot of questions about my husband and I, the bridal party, and our families. He personalizes everything and I mean everything which I loved! I wasn’t sure I wanted to have a full on DJ, but after talking to him and seeing how involved he was with all the planning of the day I knew that everything was well worth the cost. You won’t find another DJ that will be any nicer and more professional then Ryan!

Absolute Sound was fantastic! We met with Ryan before the ceremony, and he immediately put us at ease, and made a huge effort to ensure that our reception music and atmosphere was catered to our individual personalities. Our reception was fun, upbeat, and a blast -- much in part to Absolute Sound. I've attended additional receptions where Absolute Sound provided music, and noticed that others were as positive about Ryan as we were. I was so impressed with this DJ, that I plan on contacting him for future events at the school that I work for.

Ryan you are the best!

Seriously--if you don't have a good DJ, your reception is sunk. Ryan made our reception wonderful. He met with me twice, did an on site walkthrough, and touched base with us as the day approached. He handled the flow of the entire night, so I didn't have to think about a thing. He was true to the feel we wanted for our reception, stayed away from the "do not play" list, and hit everything on our "must play" list. He did a good job feeling out the crowd and keeping people on the floor.

So much of planning a great wedding comes down to who you hire. Pick Ryan from Absolute Sound. You won't be disappointed!

this was the BEST DJ EVER!!! The entire event was SO personalized for us. He met with us the week before the wedding and asked a ton of questions about us and our wedding party to make sure that the entire event fit our personalities and everyone had SO much fun! Personally very pleased, but some family members had some complaints

I, as the bride, loved working with Ryan. He was extremely professional and he did some really cool things for us. My only little complaint is that he forgot to do the dollar dance and he was "not very friendly" to my sister-in-law when she approached him during the dance to ask when the dollar dance would be. I do want to note, though, that he did apologize for forgetting and he always treated me kindly. We had TONS OF GUESTS DANCING! He was great at reading the crowd.

Over all, we were happy with our DJ experience. Ryan was very flexable and willing to work with us. his prices were average with everything we found in the Wichita area. I don't think he was over the top either. We specifically asked for him to not be too wild and he didnt. I would recomend him to anyone.

This DJ was great!! I had previously booked another dj company but after attending a friend's wedding that used absolute sound I decided to change dj's. I had a lot of compliments on the DJ service from guests and was very happy with the service that was provided.

Nice guy but didn't follow through with what he said or we asked for.
1. Said he brought supplies in case other vendors didn't bring them --- there was no cake knife and he didn't find one for us(which was exactly the example he stated)
2. Said he would help set up if vendor didnt -- candles weren't lit when guests arrived! and lights were turned off!!!
3. We asked for the dance floor to be out of the way and not to draw attention to it -- he had a FOG MACHINE and we were in an enclosed BASEMENT!!!
4. I asked him to announce something about our wedding song and he did not.
