Jill not only helped us plan our beach ceremony but she also officiated it! Her beach set up was exactly what we wanted & asked for. I cannot recommend Jillian Shaw and A Lovely Engagement enough! From the very first consultation, Jillian made us feel completely at ease. She listened to our vision for the big day and worked tirelessly to turn it into reality. She displayed attention to detail, creativity, and organization including accommodating large moving parts like a live band, setting up and breaking down unconventional table decor, and coordinating a surprise traditional folk dance.
Throughout the entire planning process, Jillian was always available to offer guidance, answer questions, and help navigate any challenges that came up. One of the biggest advantages of working with Jillian is her connections to other professionals in the area which made selecting vendors easy. I could not have created such a well-organized timeline myself, and knowing that someone was coordinating all of the moving parts was a load off my mind. Most importantly she kept everything running smoothly on the day-of.
On our wedding day, and the welcome party and rehearsal, I didn’t have to worry about a thing—Jillian had everything covered. The day was flawless, and we could truly enjoy every moment because of her. Our guests were impressed by how seamless everything was, and we owe it all to Jillian's hard work and dedication.
Weddings are expensive, but don't think you'll save by not hiring the right wedding planner! Jillian ensured that we could complete stay in the moment, and we didn't have to tasks our guests with a thing, so they could just be present too. My husband and I just danced til we dropped and she carted everything to our room afterwards, totally packed up and organized. Don't make the mistake of just letting your mother-in-law and friends "help." They are not professionals, and even though they're volunteering, I've been on Reddit, and they're all resenting you for the imposition behind your back. Hire someone who does this non-stop - you and your wedding party and guests will thank you! I did the month-of coordination for a wedding with 91 guests and would recommend her to anyone planning a similar event! Thank you, Jillian, for making our wedding day beyond magical!

From start to finish Jillian was amazing. She was attentive, informative, kind and extremely organized and prepared. She was able to recommend people from transportation services to caterers to hair and make up and everything in between. She ensured that our special day was perfect. Even when there were circumstances out of our control that required adjustments and some last second pivoting she was able to make it all happen with ease. Jillian was my “day of” coordinator for my wedding and we started services the month of according to the package I bought. We however kept in touch throughout the entire planning process and Jillian was very responsive and always answered any questions I had. She made the coordination process very easy and I can say it was 100% worth it to hire Jillian. She is very organized and you can see how much experience she has. I felt confident going into my big day knowing she was coordinating the entire day and organizing everything. Jillian has great attention to detail. She set up my tables beautifully and pieced everything together according to the detailed questionnaire I had completed. I appreciated the many pieces of reference materials that were provided to me to help with planning.

Jillian was the ultimate in professionalism, and she also seemed like a friend guiding us to what we needed. Luckily, she was there to guide us the day of our wedding as we arrived at the beach, and she took charge gently with the personal touch of helping the groom and groomsmen get their boutinieres on. She then lead us to the beach to where the ceremony would take place, working with the photographer and videographer. She did a great job of providing the ceremony we requested, not easy with the strong wind, but it worked

Jillian from start to finish was AMAZING. She has loads of knowledge and expertise which made me and my husband feel comfortable from the start. I’m so happy we chose Jillian as our day of coordinator! She was so insightful, attentive, and organized. Our planning meetings went awesome, her online portal was easy to use, and best of all, our wedding went off without a hitch (that I know of)! She worked so well with my mom and family, who did a lot of the decor and flower pieces, and we loved that she was super familiar with our venue and the staff. She went above and beyond for us when we had a last minute freak out about potentially needing to find a new venue due to hurricane Ian the week before our big day. She looked into backup options, that we thankfully didn’t end up needing, which was super super appreciated.

A Lovely Engagement is amazing, and Jillian did an outstanding job at making sure our wedding ran smoothly. The weeks leading up to the wedding were a little crazy, because omicron was at the peak of its outbreak. People in the wedding party had to back out last minute, and Jillian was highly professional through it all. She rolled with whatever we needed to change, coordinated with all of the vendors and gave us an itinerary that kept us in the loop on everything that was scheduled. We were on the fence about hiring a coordinator at all, because we figured we could save the money and do it all on our own, but we're SO GLAD we ended up hiring Jillian. The day wouldn't have been nearly the same without her expertise.

I don't know if words could quite convey how happy we both are and how grateful we are that we called Jillian to officiate our wedding. Jillian helped my husband and I get married on the beach with just one day notice. Now mind you we were not looking for anything fancy or complex, but Jillian answered her phone right away and was more than willing to help. I also LOVED her software program which allowed us to customize our vows. All the way up to the min, she was helpful and accomodating. She is extremely personable and calming. I would feel very confident in her ability to satisfy even the pickiest of brides.

Jilian was extremely helpful. I had a phone meeting with her one day during my lunch break at work a few weeks before the wedding on a day that I was under quite a bit of stress, and I was relieved when she told me that she had already taken care of many details related to my wedding plans. An amazing officiant!
Jillian is a great officiant! Her online vow ceremony set-up was great and helped us know exactly how the ceremony would go without having to have a lengthy or in-person meeting prior to the wedding. Jillian was also on time and stayed around for a bit after the ceremony to make sure all the paperwork was filled out appropriately. I would 100% recommend her for your Daytona Beach area wedding!

Perfect Private Beach Wedding!
We are so happy with our experience with Jillian with A Lovely Engagement! We planned a last minute (less than 2 weeks notice) private beach wedding on the beach in New Smyrna Beach. Jillian was very responsive, flexible, and really helped guide us through the entire process - from applying for our marriage license (we’re from out of state) to personalizing our vows to even taking a few pictures for us after our ceremony. The beach setup was beautiful and she handled everything, which took so much pressure off of my wife and I. This was even more important since we were out of state. You get to pick your vows from plenty of choices making it easier on the way they break it down for you. Our notary had to meet us at 6 am at the beach and she was very sweet , happy and energetic and making you feel she really loves her job.

As any couple, or woman would, I long dreamed about my wedding day and event.
It was a second marriage for both of us, so not a grand wedding, but intimate, special, timely and just PERFECT was our goal.
She delivered!
I have never met anyone so very in tuned to our needs, on OUR day!
Even though four ceremony and wedding lasted a relatively short period of time, Ms. Shaw was there- PRESENT- every minute.
I remember looking into her eyes during the vows and feeling her give to my husband and I the expression of love for the he and I to bond with, hearing her every word with grace and sincerity.
She actually made the difference in this entire wedding- she made this remarkable for us.
We have NO DOUBTS that her ability to perform any ceremony or special event is expertise and highly sought after.
