Aaron did a fantastic job with our wedding and our engagement shoot. We can't endorse highly enough. He is a fantastic photographer with a great eye for photos; though you can find that out for yourself by looking at his website. Just as important, he is incredibly easy to work with. We had a very complicated, 2 day wedding combining different cultures and requiring him to shoot 12 hours of photos. We were both flying into Hawaii from the mainland; he was always prompt returning phone calls/emails and answering our questions. During the actual ceremony, he was professional and punctual. And, somehow, got incredible shots despite the fact we never felt he was 'in the way'. Looking at the pics now, we can't say how he got some of them! And, despite the fact that half the wedding was Hindu, and he'd never been to a Hindu ceremony, he spoke with our coordinator, got an idea about which shots were important, and was able to get them. Finally, and just as importantly, he was very good about getting our pics to us after the ceremonies. He sent us 2 DVDs of pics about 8 weeks later, and had the online site with all 1700 of our pics up around the same time. Can't say enough about how good they look. Would highly recommend Aaron to anyone looking for a photographer in Hawaii.

Aaron is a nice guy, but not able to follow through and doesn’t pay attention to details while shooting. We were so disappointed in the images provided as that they did not reflect the entire wedding day or the verbal agreements we made regarding the important images that we wanted. Up until the day of the wedding he was VERY responsive, however post wedding he took 12 weeks to get us proofs, and we had to contact him to find out the ETA. We’re still trying to resolve things, but we always have to reach out to him first. \r\nFrom the first meeting we really stressed that we wanted a lot of candid shots of our guests as well as detail shots of the wedding. I even provided him a list and went over everything that was important to us prior to the wedding. He also mentioned his second photographer would be shooting other things as he did our posed shots. He presented himself well, mentioning that he is really flexible and would take pixs of the things that were important of us. \r\nOn the day of the wedding he showed up alone (he was supposed to have an assistant) and immediately started working. About half hour later his assistant (wife) arrives, I open the door and she just walks in, no introduction or anything. This was how our wedding day started and throughout the day they argued enough for guests to comment on our \"grouchy\" photographers. The entire getting ready session until we arrived at the ceremony was uncomfortable as he and his wife were bickering. His shooting the day of our wedding I didn’t have any complains, just that they were both in bad moods. \r\nThe reason I gave him such a low rating was the proofs we got back. Although we stressed from the beginning we wanted candid’s, we received TWO candid shots of guests during the reception. We realized he was not as detail oriented as he portrayed. i.e. when I was getting ready, I didn’t think about turning off the TV (and in other weddings the photographer made sure it was off before shooting near it) so in all getting ready pix you can see football on the TV’s, in some of them you can also see his wife in the corner. He didn’t suggest fixing the bed or moving random clutter out of the way. I realize this is not necessarily his job, but it’s always been done in weddings I’ve participated in. \r\nAaron mentioned would receive appx 1200 images, he followed through with that, but most of them were the same frame taken seconds apart. After pairing them down we have about 400-450 pixs – disappointing as he missed big portions of our 12 hr day (cocktail hour, pixs of food and some details, us with the marriage certificate, candid’s). I called to see if there were any other images that he could send and his response shocked me which caused me to knock off a star from his rating. He blamed corrupt files on some missing detail shots, the dark tent for blurry or over/under exposed images and said that he and his wife weren’t arguing, that’s just the way they communicate. He also blamed the weather on not giving him enough time to shoot everything. (Note it stopped raining an hour before the ceremony so rain was never a factor) Based on his profile on this site, there was no indication that he would have trouble shooting in a tent at night nor would his equipment fail. \r\nBottom line: He’s decent with posed shots, but anything else it’s a crapshoot. Our posed pixs look good, but anything else (ceremony, reception, etc) the overall composition of the shots are not what I expected given the price we paid.\r\n

I will not give Aaron Bernard any stars. Just like the last post, he did the same thing to me. I got married on 10/03/10 and he finally gets back to me last month. He tells me some of pictures were corrupted!!! He doesn't know how it happened and blames technology. I wouldn't have been so upset if it were the details or the prep shots. The ones corrupted were the most important ones to me. The ones corrupted were all the group pictures of all the family members and all the guests that attended. We spent at least an hour, probably longer taking pictures of all the family members there and every guest table but now I don't have any of them. The only ones I have are with my husband and my bridal party and prep and detail shots. Aaron was not even compassionate about it and constantly blames technology. To make up for it, he only was offering to do another photo shoot, ex. baby's 1st bday or maternity shoot, or a photo album. I told him I wouldn't even trust him with any more pictures. He finally agrees to a partial refund of $550, even though I paid him over $2500. I still have NOT received any refund and have NOT heard from him since 03/09/11. He lies and is a terrible business owner. He is not trustworthy and I hope this don't happen to anyone else.

We chose Aaron from LiquidLightImages because we liked his style. He was easy and fun to work with, his pricing was within our budget, and we can't wait to see our pictures. He was a great photographer and would use him again for any other photography needs we may have.

Aaron was great to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely easy to work with. Our pictures for our engagement and wedding turned out absolutely beautiful. Everyone commented on how great the pictures looked and how amazing Aaron made my husband and I look. Also, Aaron did a great designing and editing our photo books.

After sifting through the ocean of photographers that are available, we settled on one that caught our eye. And we were not disappointed. Aside from the reasonable rates, Aaron's professionalism and creativity is what made us enjoy our wedding day with him. The services that he provided made it really flexible in working with our ceremony & reception plans. He also created a comfortable environment where it was easy and enjoyable to get the pictures that we both wanted. My wife and I are thinking of using him in other photo shoots besides weddings, such as family portraits. Aaron is a phenomenal photographer and we would re-hire him in a heartbeat.

Aaron is an absolute brilliant photographer. When we started planning our wedding My husband and I decided that after everything was all said and done the photos are the only tangible thing we would have after the wedding. I spent more time researching, reviewing , talking and personally meeting with Photographers than anything else. My husband is an engineer and a want to be photographer so he has done all the different research on all the different cameras and equipment, and shooting techniques. My background is in Architecture so I wanted the photos to be very artistic, stylistic and cutting edge. His camera equipment exceeded my husbands expectations and his artistic quality, ability to capture the looks expressions and lighting were incredible and exceeded mine. He discussed with us the best time, and places to take the photos to get the best lighting and sun angles. Our photos are a true work of art. Innovative, capturing the true essence of our personality. Aaron is genuine, true, down to earth and passionate about his work. Every picture tells a story. We had so much fun taking the photos and highly recommend liquid light images. We will always have those photos and always have the memories which we will cherish forever. I cannot speak highly enough about his quality of work or how thankful we are. We have so many amazing photos to choose from. Our photos turned out far better than we dreamed of.

I hired Aaron Bernard/Liquid LIght Images to do our engagement photos, wedding photos and an additional session of shots for a special surprise for my husband. In each session, he was easy to work with, flexible, professional and the photos came out amazing! My husband and I couldn't have been happier with him; we really lucked out in getting him to take our shots! Some photographers can be sort of stuck up and hard to deal with, but Aaron put both my husband and I at ease and had so many suggestions for posses--he was very patient with us. He really listened to what we wanted and went that extra mile to make us happy--which included hiking up to a waterfall to get more shots of us in our wedding attire!

Love working with Aaron Bernard from the first day we met! My husband was equally satisfied with his example work and his creative edge that he displayed in his work. When we took our engagment photos, we were blown away of the results and never felt any regret in hiring him. I had a fantastic experience working with Liquid Light Images as the photographer for my wedding ceremony in Haleiwa. Aaron Bernard is a phenomenal photographer- professional, conscientious, and his pictures are nothing short of breathtaking. Hiring him to capture our special day was the best money we've ever spent- all my friends and family are absolutely amazed at our beautiful pictures. Aaron went above and beyond for my husband and I- suggesting the best beaches for our ceremony, diving into the waves to get the pictures, hiking over the rocks to get some unusual shots. His editing skills are really amazing- the pictures look even more beautiful then my memories and everything he does is elegant and refined and not tacky. He was able to capture our personalities and emotions on our wedding day and our pictures are so much more vibrant and evocative then most of the stiff formal shots I've seen in friends wedding pictures. We are excited to see how our pictures turn out. It was great spending time with Aaron. The post-wedding session at the beach was an extra treat! He was very responsive throughout the wedding planning stages and it was great to get a chance to meet with him beforehand to get to know each other and talk about our goals and desires.

Aaron and Jody of LiquidLightImages are the best!! Aaron was pretty much the only photographer we met with, but we knew from the beginning that he would be the perfect photographer for us. We met a few times before the wedding so that Aaron could explain to us how we could prepare and what to expect, and he also provided us with an engagement session so that we could get used to each other. I'm probably not one of the easiest people to take pictures of, but Aaron was very patient with me and by the day of the wedding it felt very natural having him (and Jody, even though we didn't meet her till our wedding day) there. Our puppies are very important to us and we were lucky enough to have them participate in our wedding as our flower puppies, and Aaron and Jody made the effort to include them in many of our shots and the puppies look adorable in them!! One of the best things about the packages that LLI offers is that you have the option to get all of your images on a hard drive, and that is exactly what we were looking for. Of course, I also have to mention the quality of the images that we got for both our engagement session and wedding. Aaron and Jody really captured who we are and all the special moments throughout our wedding day, from 6:30 am to sunset!! Aaron did a great job finding unique locations for our pictures and was able to pose us so that we look normal. We are extremely happy with all the images that we got!! Aaron and Jody are super friendly and easygoing, and we feel very lucky to have had them as our wedding photographers.

Aaron was awesome. After our initial consultation I knew that Aaron had the experience and vision to fill my demands from a wedding photographer. We initially only wanted wedding photography, but we were so impressed with his work and professionalism that we did an engagement session and used those photos for our reception table. We even ended up ordering wedding photo thank you cards which were designed by Aaron. After all of that, we loved working with him so much, I did a "Trash the Dress" photoshoot.
