History
The Gardens is a beautiful oasis in the
heart of Tucson. Consisting of 17 specialty gardens
within 5 1/2 acres, the Gardens represents a
variety of gardening traditions and botanical
themes. Dating to the 1920s, the buildings on the
property were originally the home of Bernice
and Rutger Porte with the earliest of those buildings
constructed of adobe bricks made on site.
True to the vision of Mrs. Porter, the Gardens
is a place of beauty, inspiration and education
about the natural world.
 
Weddings and Parties Event Planning
 
Xeriscape Garden Patio
Accommodates 65 people.
The Xeriscape Garden is a beautiful outdoor
patio with several ramadas, surrounded by
a lush desert landscape. This area comes
with black metal cafe style tables and chairs.
 
Porter Hall and Reception Garden
Accommodates up to 120 people.
One of our most popular event spaces. Enjoy
the Historic Porter Hall featuring wood floors,
beamed ceilings, a decorative fireplace and a
lovely glassed-in porch. Adjoining Porter Hall is
the Alice Holsclaw Reception Garden Patio.
The outdoor patio is surrounded by trees, a
water feature and a vine covered gazebo. A
magical location for any special event.
 
SAHABA Pavilion
Accommodates up to 150 people.
This is a large open air structure under
a covered ramada. The perfect location
for birthday parties, staged events
or a wedding.
 
Education Building
Accommodates up to 50 people.
A great setting for bridal showers, meetings
or small parties. The room comes with an
audiovisual screen and a small kitchenette.
 
Founders’ Room
Accommodates up to 12 people.
Small conference style area -
perfect for a break out meeting,
small baby shower or birthday party.
 
Small Ceremonies
If you are planning a small intimate ceremony
with 20 people or less we have several beautiful
locations for your special day. Check out
Jardin Nuestro, the Sensory Gardens
