About Us
I was on the radio professionally for a VERY long time, and used to get such a “high” from being able to do things for people that regular folk couldn’t do because of the job. The rush that comes from seeing a Bride and Groom look into each others eyes as they get ready to spend the rest of their lives together and KNOWING that they’re going to remember ME for the rest of their lives is a really surreal feeling. It’s like being there for the birth of a child...the winning of a lottery ticket...seeing Elvis...I think you get the idea. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch 2 people become 1, and I get to do it EVERY SINGLE weekend. I LOVE this job. It's all I do... I don't have a full-time job that you have to share time with. I get up in the morning, and spend my day working out every minute detail of your event, making sure it's all together and right. I believe that's what you deserve... It really started by accident when I was on the air in Atlanta at the major country station there. My friend Trisha called me FRANTIC…’”TJ! My wedding is in 3 days, and we can’t find the DJ we hired...can you help me?” “how hard can THIS be”, I thought...so there I went, armed with my roommates DJ rig, and a pile of CD’s. THIS is where you expect me to tell you I saved the wedding, and all was great. I was TERRIBLE. I have a background in stand-up comedy and thought I was there to be the star, not the bride. I was every single stereotype you’ve ever seen in every movie showing a cheesy wedding entertainer. I specifically remember doing a scratch remix of a Brittany Spears song during dinner...it was really bad. THAT was 1995, and from that day forward I became a student of the industry. I attended seminars with Wedding Consultants, I went to Bridal Shows, educated myself any way I could, and today I can tell you with confidence that you won’t find a more outgoing, hard working host for your event. I hope this little bit of honesty doesn't’ deter you from calling us. I know you’ve been told by every dj in the southeast how amazing they are, and how great they’ve always been. I’ve worked hard to be the best there is, and I would love the chance to prove it to you. |
