We are not what you consider traditional portrait and wedding photographers.  We are are life photographers, capturing emotion with an approach that is both refreshing and artistic. While we do consider ourself photojournalistic, we tend to think that description is highly overused to the point it has lost its meaning. We do however strive to showcase every wedding as a true photojournalistic event while also capturing the traditional portraits you expect.

We shoot every wedding together.  We passionately love what we do, and being able to work together like the best friends/spouses we are is what sets our work apart.  It's that simple.  We both have a different "eye" with the way we capture an event, so you're not just getting two photographers, you're getting two totally unique views that merge into one outstanding wedding porfolio.  We have a habit of competing for the best shots.......

We usually photograph using the natural lighting of your event as much as possible.  This way you will look back at your photographs and see the "mood"  exactly the way it was, with as little artificial light as necessary.   We also like BOLD colors.  If you really enjoy fine portrait photography where eveyone is traditionally posed perfectly in the center of each photograph, we are NOT what you are looking for! haha! We like to think outside the box and worry more about capturing the emotion and excitement of your special day rather than making sure Aunt Milly's hair is parted correctly. 

What we absolutely will not do is make ourselves the center of attention at your wedding.  We try to be as unintrusive as possible, using high quality Canon equipment to get the shots you expect without making our presence overwhelmingly known.  We document the day as it happens, and except for the formal photographs, only guide our clients at their requests. 

Rae has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the prestigious Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL, and spent 6 years in the forensic law enforcement field where she used her camera skills as a real life CSI.  Wesley has an Associates Degree in Computer Design and spent 10 years in the Civil Engineering field specializing in Commercial and Subdivision design.  After pursuing wedding photography part time for four years, in 2006  we decided to leave the rat race of corporate America and be our own boss.  We now dedicate all of our energy to our clients and enjoy working together full time.  We take pride in the fact that many of our couples consider us good friends long after the wedding has passed.
