We had our reception at the "Jon & Ruth Ann Wefald Pavilion & GTM Family Center." I was worried at first, because it was so plain, but it ended up working very well, and was easy on our budget, costing $600 to reserve it from 12:00-8:00pm the day of the wedding, including a $100 deposit that we got back. It was very simple, very open, and had lots of natural lighting.

We wanted to get married in the park under a tree where we shared our first kiss. The Manhattan Park and Recreation officials were very easy to work with; I only required a permit, if anyone else showed up, we had the right of way to be there. The park was a wonderful venue, decorating was easy because the park was so well maintained! We would do it again there in a heartbeat...
