Tips and Advice
The Do's and Don'ts of great wedding photography for Brides and Grooms
1) DO your final dress and Tux fitting just before the wedding. A godd fit is very important, if your photographer shoots like I do they will be shooting from every angle. A bodice that is ill fitted will be very noticable in shots taken from above or from the side. Guys take the time to try on the tux at least a week before the big day. I see soooo many grooms with pant legs dragging several inches on the ground, a definate DON'T!
2) Brides, do get a professional make-up artist. It will make all the differance. I have seen brides totally transformed by great make-up. I have also seen brides that have let a good friend do there make-up, walk down the isle with ugly blue shadow all the way up to thier brow line!
3) Groom's, DO use product in your hair if you have longer bangs. It is awful when the bangs are hanging in the eyes and I can't get a good shot of a grooms eyes. The eyes say everything in a photo. I am trying to tell a story without words, I need to see your eyes!
4) DO a trial run with the hair dresser if she or he has never done your hair before. I have shown up at hotel rooms to do make-up for brides only to find them in tears over an awful hair-do that it was too late to change!
5) DO try to connect with each other as much as possible, I can't get those great candid moments if you are not together enough durring the reception. SO dance kiss whisper and have fun together, it is all about the two of you after all!
